Played both versions pc,ps4, and xbox 1 and due to my experience with both versions the ps4 version of this game is an absolute must buy, due to better performance, framerate, and graphics. I also recommend the pc version as well, since its been out longer and cost cheaper.

I love this game to death, as I have played it on PC shortly after the initial release and put over 120 hours in a "good" walkthrough (Angel path). I wanted this game on a shelf, and picking it on consoles is the only way to do so nowadays. I'm going to do another walkthrough on a PS5, probably a "bad" one (Lich or Demon, not sure yet), and for the moment I'm just about 10 hours in. It runs surprisingly well on a PS5, just saw two minor glitches so far, but no game-breaking bugs which is totally cool. I guess the game won't be bug-free, no chance for that, but the PC version is great right now, patched and polished. I bet this one will get all the fixes down the road. I'd say it is a great moment to pick it up as Pathfinder is one of the best RPGs of late, and right now it can be done with a gorgeous physical edition. The only sad thing is - there is no native PS5 version, only a past-gen one, and I hope the devs will update it in the following future. Expand

fantastic RPG. The game runs great on ps5. controls are just fine. I dont get why this game gets less attention compared to RPG like PoE or DoS. PWotR is just better in many aspects
gameplay 10/10: the mechanics are so deep and there are sooo many viable builds. I also love how you can switch between turn-based and real-time. great if you want to change pacing of the game. Gameplay

Gameplay around pets and mounted combat is great. i particularly like how you can make a group of 10+ party members
Story: 7/10 story is epic and well-written. Maybe a bit too old-school if you compare with modern writing. same problem with PoE and DoS imo. but i guess it is a downside of the whole D&D genre
    Sound and music 8/10
graphics 6/10: graphics are fine, except characters. maybe a downgrade from the PC version

Some bugs and crashes, but far less than Kingmaker; solid story, incredible depth, relatively compelling characters and a whole load of fun to be had. Very high replay value. Probably one of my favourite games of 2022!

Ranked as an 8, but more deserving of an 8.5. It is an excellent game brought down by issues with not just bugs and performance, but also its poor job communicating what

Picked it on PS5. There were stickers in the box and a mini book, which was nice. The game works much more smoothly than their previous game, but I haven't gotten too far. The controls are not always comfortable, but I know what I was getting into, I know Pathfinder is complicated. And the textures are low res, but the devs said they will patch it soon. I adore so much of Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, from being able to play as an undead lich, to how the story adapts to that choice like you're playing through an incredibly detailed dark fantasy book. That's why I'm almost devastated by the game's lack of polish. It's unbalanced, there's bugs that forced regular restarts, and the console UI isn't suited to managing a crusade, which isn't as interesting as kingdom management. If this is your kind of game, you're better off trying to play on PC. Otherwise, you can join me in enjoying the game despite itself, or play Kingmaker until this has had some significant patches.

A staggering amount of content makes Pathfinder: Wrath Of The Righteous an easy choice to recommend for those who have a lot of time to invest. An interesting narrative and player choices that define the outcome, this is a tale that is well worth experiencing.

Is Wrath of the Righteous a natural 20? Almost. Knowing the care that the developers invested in the previous game, I am pretty sure that the new Pathfinder will shed its initial issues and will be filed down until there are no more annoying edges, just a smooth experience. It is a dream come true for any classical RPG fans that want to be lost in an epic world, going through heroic adventures, while also exploring fulfilling side quests with quirky, yet charming companions. It has a high replay value, and you need at least two playthroughs to experience most of the content. It is a modern take on classical roleplaying that does not disappoint and manages to be newbie friendly as well.
