Sep 28, 2015It's more of the same but that's not a bad thing as the gameplay is incredibly fast, frantic and fun. A great game on it's own but if you aren't a fan of Dynasty Warriors style beat em ups, this game might not do much to change your opinion on them.
-
Sep 22, 2015One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 is a remarkably fun entry in the franchise and easily the best One Piece game on any system. It has some flaws, many of which are common to the Warriors franchise, but it's just fun to play.
-
Sep 13, 2015While not everyone's cup of tea, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 is a solid entry into the franchise that fans won't want to miss.
-
Sep 7, 2015Probably the best One Piece game so far, it has all of Eiichiro Oda's work. It keeps the visual style of its predecessors and improves gameplay mechanics.
-
Aug 28, 2015A sprawling beat ‘em up with great replayability and loads of content for both fans and newcomers. Don’t let the messy camera put you off.
-
Aug 26, 2015This is the best One Piece game to date. If you like action games and One Piece, it's a must-have.
-
Nov 11, 2015Pirate Warriors 3 is simply the best One Piece game out there. It captures the look and feel of the show perfectly, it is more than welcoming to newcomers and it defies the stereotype of Dynasty Warriors = button-mashing.
-
Sep 1, 2015After two games that suffered from many aspects, Omega Force finally achieved its most successful attempt in making a Musou game that truly captures the essence of One Piece. Even though it has some flaws that avert the title from becoming the best One Piece experiences to date, its content and gameplay make this one of the most enjoyable titles of the series and one that fans should try at least one. Fan-service in all the extension of the word.
-
Sep 30, 2015One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 is a great debut on PlayStation 4. The proposed contents are indeed many and Omega Force has matured as much as possible in the musou genre with a very spectacular result that does justice to the spirit of the manga. Technically is not so impressive and the action is somewhat repetitive, but the system Kizuna Rush works and is a real pleasure to see our heroes join forces, while the exaggerated number of characters and events that recover the series from the beginning is a true feast for the hardcore fans.
-
Sep 11, 2015If you’re a fan of One Piece, then this is the very definition of a no-brainer, but even if you’re not, even if you’re a fan of anime/manga with little more than a passing knowledge of One Piece, this game will do more than most to convince your of the series’ unique charms.
-
Sep 11, 2015Between the various modes, the online options, the huge cast of unlockable and upgradeable characters, you will not lack for things to do.
-
Sep 3, 2015Pirate Warriors 3 is the best chapter in the One Piece series, technically more than decent and with a huge roster of characters, bound to keep you busy (and happy) for a while.
-
Aug 28, 2015This third Pirate Warriors iteration offers the same action packed hack´n slash experience with neat new features, like the superb mode Legend Log. A dream come true for fans of the franchise.
-
Aug 27, 2015Simply put, Luffy and his crew's latest adventure is a joy to play.
-
Sep 21, 2015As a fan, you can't miss this chronological start to the One Piece franchise. Newcomers, however, might find Pirate Warriors 3 confusing and at times a bit too repetitive.
-
Sep 4, 2015Tons of playable characters, the whole plot of Eichiiro Oda's work and a lot of action: One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 seems a fantastic game for every fan of One Piece, and just them. Everyone else could be held back by its repetitive mechanics and missions.
-
Sep 4, 2015It's a very good musou, filled with content and personalization. If you love the saga, you should really consider this one.
-
Aug 28, 2015Despite its Frankenstein-esque shortcomings, Pirate Warriors 3 is a beautiful game, and still a lot of fun to play locally.
-
Aug 26, 2015A game only for fans of the work of Eiichiro Oda. Compared with Pirate Warriors 2, the improvement in the plot is offset by the outdated mechanics.
-
Oct 23, 2015It's a gigantic game, that uses the beloved One Piece license, and can stay almost on top of the musou genre just for that. Emphasis on "just", considering that, gameplay wise, it's the same old repetitive romp, with hundreds of brainless enemies, and only decent boss fights. Basically, it's a must for manga fans, and a good starting point for those few who don't know the One Piece series, but the musou genre really has to change.
-
Sep 21, 2015The PS4-premiere of the anime pirates plays like classic Tecmo Koei warriors – with all its glory and all the hate you might associate with it.
-
Sep 15, 2015One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 is a fun game for the fans of the franchise. The fun is mostly found in the story mode, but the extra modes become repetitive very quickly.
-
Sep 10, 2015However, what it does bring is the best representation of One Piece to a video game, while giving fans the chance to get caught in all of Luffy’s mad adventures in a fun and solid, if uninspiring, Warriors game aimed to depict the madness that comes with taking down hundreds of enemies with unique characters.
-
Sep 9, 2015In summary, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 is a great game for fans of the series, and there is a lot of content to keep them busy. On the other hand or... err... fist, newcomers may find it tough to play the game all the way through without becoming bored.
-
Sep 2, 2015Although familiar, the combat takes on a new feeling thanks to the change in setting. That said, I’m sure those who have played previous One Piece adaptations won’t get that same sensation.
-
Sep 1, 2015One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 is a classic musou game, with tons of characters, thousands of enemies and a simple combat system. If you like One Piece, this is a good way to recall its story from the very beginning till the Dressrosa arc, with a friend too.
-
Sep 11, 2015One Piece’s unique style of fighting also translates quite well to musou combat, but fitting in the story bogs down that combat somewhat. Instead of enjoying both fighting and dialogue, it became a weird kind of chore to play through battles just to progress the story.
-
Sep 11, 2015Just like both games before, One Piece : Pirate Warriors 3 will be loved by a large part of the manga's fanbase, and probably by those who keep buying all the Dynasty Warriors. But for the rest of the players, there's a huge risk of being bored after some hours.
-
Sep 10, 2015A generic Musou but a great adaptation of Eiichiro Oda's work, Pirate Warriors innovates little in mechanics and has a cumbersome progression, but it compensates a little with massive content and lots of nods to the fans. A regular effort.
-
Aug 31, 2015Despite the occasional frame-rate drops and the repetitiveness, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 is a fairly fun game.
-
Oct 22, 2015The combat is brainlessly entertaining, but this sort of content only occupies someone for so long, and with no other improvements or expansions to the core play, I can't in good conscience praise this game. That said, I did find it interesting enough to want to find out more about the IP, and I strongly suspect those who are already fans will happily climb aboard this particular pirate ship.
-
Oct 7, 2015I expected a lot more from this title and it definitely disappointed.
-
Sep 8, 2015If you’re into Dynasty Warriors levels of mass combat and are a huge fan of One Piece then this game is absolutely perfect for you. If you’ve been a fan of this particular series since the beginning, the new additions are nice but the game as a whole may feel too similar.
-
Aug 26, 2015The repetitive missions grate all too soon and the bloated levelling makes little difference. The random chunks of story lack consistency and will only be understood by hardcore fans of the show, who deserve a better narrative than this. But when played in short bursts or with people online, there's an easy-going yet empowering flow to the action that makes it hard to put down.
