    This Game is insane good! I am a souls fan and those game makes many things betta than dark souls. No searching for possible new ways (i can remember hours of just searching where to go next on dark souls) since the areas r in form of missions with a navigator, may not the best one but at least anything.

    La verdad es uno de los mejores juegos que he jugado en mi vida. El diseño del entorno, de los personajes y el arte en general es precioso. Jugabilidad muy entretenida y variada, acompañada de una fuerte dosis de dificultad que te invita a invertir muchas horas de juego poniendo a prueba la destreza del jugador

    Awesome game! Enjoyed it more that actual dark souls or sekiro, I liked the fact that you can use any weapons without your stats affecting that, enjoyed every boss fight, can't remembered one that I didn't like.

    Excellent game! The combat is exceptional. Idky I was iniitally put off by the combat gameplay I'd originally seen... [but then again, I initially didn't like bloodborne & I love that too].

    my top 9 favorite game of the century easily entered my top 10 list combining the diablo loot style witih hack and slash + the soulsborne formula a phenomenal game made by team Ninja the yokai forms where a great idea to add to the game the boss designs are fantastic very memorable one of the best boss designs out there on par with Sekiro Dark Souls 3 DMC 5 Bloodborne the enemies also havemy top 9 favorite game of the century easily entered my top 10 list combining the diablo loot style witih hack and slash + the soulsborne formula a phenomenal game made by team Ninja the yokai forms where a great idea to add to the game the boss designs are fantastic very memorable one of the best boss designs out there on par with Sekiro Dark Souls 3 DMC 5 Bloodborne the enemies also have variety Team ninja learned their lesson from Nioh 1 that variety is important great skill tree i wish Omnyo magic had more crazy stuff magic going in there except just talismans even Ninjutsu has better magic skills than Omnyo and that's a Ninja tree they could have totally went crazy and create jutsu's like in naruto shippudden ultimate ninja storm just create better magic skills in general and the fact that they nerfed Otakamaru's Yokai ability to the point where it's no longer usable was a mistake he is the last boss of the game the ability is supposed to be powerful they nerfed it from super powerful to useless that's not how you nerf things you don't make things useless the online mode co op is great the more players the better easy to connect to people the combat is amazing switching styles feels unique something i feel like Sucker punch with ghost of tsushima where inspired from team ninja's Nioh stylish combat mechanics there is tons of replayability and content to play the weapons are all fantastic i love the switchglaive my favorite weapon the story writing characters are fantastic bringing back fan favorites characters from nioh 1 was a smart move this game takes a great game like Nioh 1 and further improves it to be one of the best action games ever made that is Nioh 2… Expand

    Nioh 2 is probably the best souls game I've played, and my personal favourite game. The combat is incredibly satisfying, boss and enemy designs are unique and brilliant, and the graphics are gorgeous. The replay value is nearly limitless with the amount of customization you are allowed and the game is long already so you'll get more than your money's worth. The only thing I disliked aboutNioh 2 is probably the best souls game I've played, and my personal favourite game. The combat is incredibly satisfying, boss and enemy designs are unique and brilliant, and the graphics are gorgeous. The replay value is nearly limitless with the amount of customization you are allowed and the game is long already so you'll get more than your money's worth. The only thing I disliked about this game was the learning curve, the first 5-8 hours are incredibly infuriating, until the combat system clicks and you stop playing like dark souls.… Expand

    This game rules so hard everyone who's a fan of soulslikes should give this a whirl. it's faster paced than anything other than maybe sekiro but theres a better emphasis on blocking and combos.

    I think everyone would agree that this game is such a improvement over the first game which was already great. The gameplay is really addicting… and the story is solid enough. One of the best soul-like games.

    This is one of those few sequels out there that actually surpass its first title on everything (and Nioh 1 its badass already).

    -Gameplay
    -Difficulty
    -Customization
    -Endame content

    I have to admit that I waited around 6 months after it came out due to all those bugs on PC, but they are all fixed and was worth it.

    Best combat out of any souls game. Loot system is cool. Character creator is good. Difficulty is crazy sometimes but your character has so many tools and resources to conquer anything once you learn the fight.

    Nioh 2 is my second most played game ever, I have spent a thousand hours in this game and I believe it is a masterpiece.

    I know this game is widely praised but it deserves more love and appreciation, Nioh 2 is just a perfect experience for those who seek for difficult games I think.

    Best build variety i've ever seen in a game. In the last ng+ that is. Not sure why the player is forced to struggle with sticks and stones until there but it's their problem. Kept me busy for months all in good fun so thumbs up. Added 2 points after playing elden ring :p The king is dead, long live the king

And I can't say I'm disappointed, although it didn't bring many novelties to the table. To be honest, Nioh 2 could nearly be considered as a Nioh 1.5, being so similar to the original game. The new additions - mainly the Soul Cores, Yokai Abilities and BurstNioh 2 is the sequel (or prequel, actually) to one of my favorite PS4 games, so I was obviously looking forward to its release.     A solid addition to the Nioh franchise with an eerie atmosphere, challenging gameplay, and tight controls. At times it can feel repetitious, though, with enemies being heavily reused and bosses being somewhat disengaged in their combat. A very good game!

    - Jugablemente añade varias mecánicas como la contra-Yokai que se convierte en algo vital para progresar en el juego o el Mundo Oscuro, en donde la regeneración de Ki se ralentiza y obliga al jugador a planificar mejor sus movimientos.

    Por el resto, sigue siendo fiel al primer Nioh, pulsos de ki, habilidades y progresión con armas, builds, loot, etc.
    Una vez terminado el juego se desbloquea una dificultad mayor para conseguir mejor equipo y más nivel. Pudiendo así crear la mejor build para tu estilo de juego. Hay que recordar que esta es una mecánica muy importante en el postgame de Nioh.

    - Por ultimo hablemos de la dificultad, he visto otras reviews en las que tachan al juego de "increiblemente dificil", incluso mas difícil que el primero. Lo cual no es para nada cierto.
    La dificultad en si es practicamente la misma. El problema viene cuando el jugador ignora todo lo que el juego quiere enseñarle y plantearle y únicamente juega como sabe, en otras palabras, como si jugara a Dark Souls. Y Nioh no es un Dark Souls. Ese es el problema, aunque claro, es más fácil culpar al juego que culparse a uno mismo y aprender de los errores.

    En definitiva, si te gustó Nioh, esta segunda entrega es muy similar. Si nunca has jugado, puedes probarlo si tienes la mente abierta y quieres que el juego te enseñe, si no, ni te acerques.    … Expand

    If you liked NIOH 1 you will like this game! Same basic play style and setup. It has same basic Diablo equipment looting system. The boss fights are fun! The major difference in game play is the CORES - I am not a really a big fan of this game setup since it's really confusing on how it all works. I have no clue after 15hrs how to manage or utilize this CORE system.

    What I still    If you liked NIOH 1 you will like this game! Same basic play style and setup. It has same basic Diablo equipment looting system. The boss fights are fun! Unlike Dark Souls and Bloodborne - their stories are more unique and interesting with AMAZING SOUND TRACKS and much easier and manageable equipment system.     Si con el primer Nioh el Team Ninja ya marcó la diferencia con uno de los mejores Souls-Like de la historia y el mejor en muchos aspectos como en el jugable y el de Build setup, con Nioh 2 vuelven a hacerlo y se marcan un juegazo tan exigente como divertido, con las nuevas mecánicas Yokai y las transformaciones. Una joya. Como único punto en contra podría ser que emplea el mismo motor queSi con el primer Nioh el Team Ninja ya marcó la diferencia con uno de los mejores Souls-Like de la historia y el mejor en muchos aspectos como en el jugable y el de Build setup, con Nioh 2 vuelven a hacerlo y se marcan un juegazo tan exigente como divertido, con las nuevas mecánicas Yokai y las transformaciones. Una joya. Como único punto en contra podría ser que emplea el mismo motor que el primero.     Una auténtica maravilla como ya lo fue el anterior. Si os gustan los retos y estilo que recuerda a los Souls, sin duda lo disfrutaréis. Con la gran novedad de poder crear nuestro personaje.

    Por decir algo negativo: poca variedad de enemigos normales, algunos muy duros que hacen más daño que muchos jefes. Nioh 2 is a must play for fans of the first game, better graphics and and immerse gameplay with lots of endgame content makes this game one of the best I played. The story is fine and I think the first Nioh nailed the story better but it is not bad at all. The coop mode is easier to access with 90% of missions availableTeam Ninja is continuing on creating one of the best JRPG's to date. Nioh 2 is a must play for fans of the first game, better graphics and and immerse gameplay with lots of endgame content makes this game one of the best I played. The story is fine and I think the first Nioh nailed the story better but it is not bad at all. The coop mode is easier to access with 90% of missions available for coop especially it could be challenging at times for casual players. With 3 major DLC's on the horizon I guess this game will be much better and more enjoyable in the near future. 9/10… Expand

    The Combat is phenomenal. the sountrack is amazing. and the bosses are a joy to fight and behold ( aside from 1 or two) + Story is actually pretty good? not amazing but a good one for a souls type game usualy. be aware that some of it is in the character description so make sure to read it when it updates throughout the game. + The Combat    Nioh 2 expands on Nioh 1 in great ways.

    Solid 8.5/10 Love this game. This game is so freaking good! Not a fan of Dark Souls but this game is kinda like Sekiro Shadows Die Twice and Dark Souls but better! No regrets on my purchase! if you into this type of games. Highly Recommend it.

    Nioh 2 is an excellent game for those who like challenging games that feel rewarding. Not for the average gamer, but for those who get satisfaction from playing at the edge of impossible and winning. Similar enough to Dark Souls but different enough from Dark Souls to get give you a familiar but fresh experience on this genre.

    This game is more like Nioh 1.5. It seems like developers kept what worked in Nioh 1, fixed some issues like unfair bosses, introduced some new ideas like burst counter and character design. I think there are too many good ideas in both Nioh games: 2D art, 3D cutscenes, tea utensils, clan wars, reputation titles, a rich variety of weapons, complex upgrade trees for every weapon type,This game is more like Nioh 1.5. It seems like developers kept what worked in Nioh 1, fixed some issues like unfair bosses, introduced some new ideas like burst counter and character design. I think there are too many good ideas in both Nioh games: 2D art, 3D cutscenes, tea utensils, clan wars, reputation titles, a rich variety of weapons, complex upgrade trees for every weapon type, different stances, kodama locations and lots more... This is a very deep and complex game. I wish it was a bit less simple game like Sekiro because adding too many good ideas doesn't always add up to a perfect game. Another issue with this game is graphic resolution (I played it in Pro). I understand that they didn't want to sacrifice from frame rates but the resolution is like at least 5 years behind the competition. Other than if you are fan of Souls games or liked Nioh 1 you will certainly love this game. In some compartments Nioh games are even better than Souls games and Nioh 2 is the best Nioh game.… Expand

    I love this game. Amazing experience, the setting, story, graphics and gameplay are all amazing! I would have given this a 10 if it had done more to differentiate itself from its predecessor. That said, I'll keep buying iterations of this game, as long as Sony is making them.

    I enjoyed this more than Dark Souls, please don't hate me guys.

    Ottimo gioco per ps4, una rivisitazione di un soulslike in chiave giapponese. Ambientazione fantastica e gameplay molto vario grazie alle stance e al ritmo ki. Per me il miglior soulslike in assoluto, unico difetto ambientazioni e nemici in parte riciclati dal primo episodio.

    Man, did this game kick my behind like crazy. But it was such a fun experience that I never wanted to give up. I also love of you can customize your character this time. Though it does feel mostly the same as the first, it's still just as good. Also, there are cats that you can pet. So I was sold!

    I like nioh2, especially the boos battle in Nioh2 is much better than the pervious game. If Team ninja could improve their map design and the enemy arrangement, then I could give nioh2 a 10.

    As someone who beat nioh one i say that the improvements are a welcome change! The game is harder, but there is reward in fighting some of the bosses and its not impossible, as someone who beat all the sekirodarkborne franchise, i happily say buy this game!

    I had alot of fun with the game, visually the game is sunning. Early do I enjoy a game enough to 100% it. But Nioh 2's kept me coming back. The battle system is fun and menu scrolling isn't cumbersome. The story however leaves you wanting. I found it difficult to care about any of the charecteyrs. I would say though that they knocked it out if the park with this one

It is unique where it has to be and the Japanese yokai settings is a refreshing new take. I spent 120 hours just doing the story now NG Plus and DLC will probably turn this into a 200 or 300 hour experience. Worth it… Expand

    More of the same excellence that was in Nioh. I love the mix between dark souls and diablo. Better level up system for skills. Character creation is excellence, maybe the best I’ve seen so far. Good amount of content for the game. Improvements to the coop system were appreciated.
    Keep up the good work Team Ninja!!! Looking forward to the dlc and to future games in the Nioh universe.

    I want to start off by saying this. if you LOVED Nioh 1 you gonna like this game. It's really good game but not perfect.
    Every review will say different thing because the experience is different if I'm not mistaken there are 9 weapons to choose some of them old and some of them are new, each weapon has bounch of builds that's why don't judge just by playing with a single weapon, I have    I want to start off by saying this. if you LOVED Nioh 1 you gonna like this game. It's really good game but not perfect.

And also please don't expect combat like Dark Souls or Bloodborne. Nioh has much more faster combat compared to FromSoftware games.
    Story was kind of weird but toward the end it just kept getting better and better.
    I don't want to talk about story a lot because the main product is gameplay. It's kind of similar to Nioh 1 but improved version, a lot of new combos btw your are creating combos by aquairing skills speaking of skills skill tree is huge it is good but I don't think it was necessary. HERES THE GAME CHANGER The Burst Counter, Burst Counter is just awesome it made me to memorize every single enemies move set I have to calculate the delay of burst counter when executed if I done it successfully it makes my day much more easier but if I fail. Oh boy. It can get me killed or damage me so bad overall it's a good addition.
    Maps designs are different but same only some of them felt unique.
    Loots, smithing, soul matching and ex.. are same as Nioh 1.
    Character Creation is really really good ( So much better than Dark Souls ) and you can download character that made by other players.
    Yokai soul cores are good idea that allows us to use the powers of the Yokai we've defeated even bosses, most of them are weak maybe some of them are good for end game.
    The only thing that I disliked is Yokai Shift. The concept of Yokai Shift is amazing you turn into cool looking Yokai, but you're weak as hell, most of the time I didn't even had to use Yokai Shift, in my 84 hours of playtime completed the game and the New game plus I just used the Yokai Shift 42 times. Living weapon was much more better because it made me feel like I can kill everything that is on my way but not with Yokai Shift.    … Expand

    Nioh 2? More like Nioh 1.5. Still very solid, very fun game.

    I only wished they had more enemy variety and they limited enemy types and placement in specific levels.

    An excellent soulslike that improved almost everything of its predecessor, mainly in diversity of gameplay, with a very welcome extension of the Yokai skill tree. For me one of the best games of the year, recommended especially for those who enjoy soulslike and samurai themes!

    Improves on every aspect of the original Nioh fantastically. Fast and fluid combat, very satisfying. The story and characters are hit or miss. Solid graphics and music. Overall a fun game.

    I love games who are mixed with some anime some Japanese some horror and some dark souls mode by the way I didn't played the first one and the boss fight and intro cut scenes are awesome well done great game

    Not a lot of prequels do a good job, but this one just flat out takes the cake! Awesome characters, addicting gameplay, and gives you a customizable character! Lots of skills to learn, and weapons to choose from. Basically, the old Nioh, but with a few improvements! I absolutely love it!

    Great game solid as much as the first one. I prefer this series to all dark souls clones and even dark souls. Nioh is so smooth, faster paced and multiple combat moves / weapons makes it the best souls type game out their, in my opinion.

    User score should be a bit higher. Great game that needs more attention. The first one may have been better in terms of story but Nioh 2 still holds its own. It more about the yokai and less about the humans. I did want more levels with all human battles but I guess that is not what they were going for in Nioh 2.     At the beginning I started to feel like this game was a poor new addition to the first installment. Most secuels have similar mechanics in controls and gameplay. So does this game and it's nothing wrong with that. Take a look at Dark Souls franchise and other similar games.     Fantastic game, the story isnt the best but it makes up for it with the combat it's equipment system and skills tree are complex and unique its very difficult so you are going to die alot of times but you will keep coming for more and more action

Nioh 2 plays incredibly smooth, while providing a medley of tools to tackle the challenging combat scenarios. Taking down hordes of enemies and bosses with a variety of weapons and deep combat systems including yokai abilities and skill trees for each weapon and combat style.     Nioh 2 is simply more of Nioh. It offers more of what you liked and didn't like about the first game with only a few minor refinements. Nioh 2's biggest addition from the previous game is a character creator, which allows for players to add a welcome personal touch to their player-character -- a huge step up from the first Nioh's bland protagonist, William.

    Amazing game. Just got Platinum after 110 hrs. of play. Very well-balanced. Story was good, but a little confusing with all the characters, names, clans, etc. Story got more interesting about halfway through, but still fairly tame.

    The real shining aspect is the gameplay. Gameplay is superb. The weapons and variety are just right. The game is just FUN to play. I didn't find it that    Amazing game. They need to be a bit more brave on Nioh 3 and really try some new things. A lot of reused characters/enemies/locations/UI/story flow in this one.M any locations followed the same pattern... always a locked gate right by the first shrine...or ladder kicking down... that sort of thing. Locations need more uniqueness and variety. Take another lesson from From Software, Koei. :-) FromSoft levels are amazing. That said, all the upgrades and additions were well thought out and a big improvement. I just wish they pushed to be a little more unique and change up UI, locations, Story flow... but overall, it's a really fun experience.    … Expand

    A really great game where you can create your own character unlike the original and it's actually fun cause some parts of did really happen in history like the black samurai etc. and I happen to search Wikipedia while playing it to know more.

    This is a great. The game is so exciting that you can’t tear yourself away from it. Yes, the game is difficult, perhaps you'll wanted to throw gamepad into wall, lul. But overcoming difficulties is always nice.

    What I am talking about is the bosses. 1st boss is difficult but beatable, so that is fine. 2nd boss is way, way, way to difficult to the point where you have to be a) really damn good b) grind until you cry c) be lucky. After the 2nd boss every single boss is easy until you end up in area 5 where you have yet another a b or c boss.
    There is however a way for them to fix it, and that is called balancing the damn bosses. Make some easier, make some more difficult, if done right this is a 10/10 game for many people. Done wrong, or left as is, this game will be a 1/10 and even 0/10 for far to many, and rightfully so since there are no need to beat people over the head with their difficulty as early in the game as they do.

    What makes a good souls-like game good is that it feels difficult but fair throughout the entire game. Where Nioh 2 therefor fail is that it has moments where it feels unfair instead of difficult.    … Expand

One thing Sekiro mastered was limiting backtracking to the boss room. This game does not have that and it's the worst thing ever.     I hated Nioh 1, I never even made it past the second boss. This game however is great. It feels much more fair than the first, you still get 1 shot but less often and with better tells. The addition of the Yokai counter made this game so much better than the first. The story is pretty good as well.

    The second Nioh is more than just a continuation of the legacy. The authors have been able to learn from the mistakes of the first game, and thanks to that this is an excellent action RPG that will not let you rest and you will want to keep playing. [Issue#303]

    I love a great third-person actioner, and I’m hard-pressed to think of one that nails the formula as perfectly as Nioh 2 does. The systems are pleasantly crunchy and there are a ton to dig into, the moment-to-moment fights get my blood pumping, and the artwork and theming are all spot-on. Too much of a good thing is too much of a good thing, but Nioh 2 is exactly the right amount.

    Nioh 2 does what a good sequel should. It capitalizes on the best parts of its predecessors while providing new content and mechanics to advance the franchise. While the story structure and level design are largely the same, added weapons, more build depth, and new combat mechanics all enhance what the game has to offer. It doesn't always hit the mark perfectly, but it's a solid addition to the series. And let's face it, being a samurai is awesome.
