    Best build variety i've ever seen in a game. In the last ng+ that is. Not sure why the player is forced to struggle with sticks and stones until there but it's their problem. Kept me busy for months all in good fun so thumbs up. Added 2 points after playing elden ring :p The king is dead, long live the king

    Excellent game! The combat is exceptional. Idky I was iniitally put off by the combat gameplay I'd originally seen... [but then again, I initially didn't like bloodborne & I love that too].

    For $20 I had a lot of fun with this. Just felt like more Nioh, and I'm ok with that. Got a lot of time out of this, had loads of fun customizing my character and optimizing my build, died a lot, and didn't have a bad time with any of it. All and all, not that bad

    Nioh 2 is probably the best souls game I've played, and my personal favourite game. The combat is incredibly satisfying, boss and enemy designs are unique and brilliant, and the graphics are gorgeous. The replay value is nearly limitless with the amount of customization you are allowed and the game is long already so you'll get more than your money's worth. The only thing I disliked aboutNioh 2 is probably the best souls game I've played, and my personal favourite game. The combat is incredibly satisfying, boss and enemy designs are unique and brilliant, and the graphics are gorgeous. The replay value is nearly limitless with the amount of customization you are allowed and the game is long already so you'll get more than your money's worth. The only thing I disliked about this game was the learning curve, the first 5-8 hours are incredibly infuriating, until the combat system clicks and you stop playing like dark souls.… Expand

    A really great game where you can create your own character unlike the original and it's actually fun cause some parts of did really happen in history like the black samurai etc. and I happen to search Wikipedia while playing it to know more.

    A differenza di Nioh 1, il secondo titolo è molto più bilanciato e meno scorretto verso il giocatore, specialmente per i danni subiti dai nemici e le nuove meccaniche della parata esplosiva e dei nuclei d'anima, che rendono gli scontri più semplici e danno al giocatore già da inizio gioco più opzioni per gestire la situazione. Tuttavia, personalmente sono stato più preso dal primo Nioh,A differenza di Nioh 1, il secondo titolo è molto più bilanciato e meno scorretto verso il giocatore, specialmente per i danni subiti dai nemici e le nuove meccaniche della parata esplosiva e dei nuclei d'anima, che rendono gli scontri più semplici e danno al giocatore già da inizio gioco più opzioni per gestire la situazione. Tuttavia, personalmente sono stato più preso dal primo Nioh, perchè nonostante fosse un gioco molto scorretto verso il giocatore, aveva boss fight più combattute al limite e memorabili. Inoltre Nioh 2 ha il difetto di ripetere continuamente le stesse locazioni (Foresta, Villaggio/castello spesso in fiamme e caverna) mentre nel titolo precedente avevamo missioni con ambientazioni più tematiche come il covo dei ninja, Honno-ji ricoperto di ghiaccio, il tempio delle acque con Umi Bozu ecc. Inoltre la difficoltà di Nioh 2 cala drasticamente già dalla seconda regione, e con mia sorpresa sono riuscito a sconfiggere al primo tentativo tutti i boss delle ultime 2 regioni.

    Nioh 2 is simply more of Nioh. It offers more of what you liked and didn't like about the first game with only a few minor refinements. Nioh 2's biggest addition from the previous game is a character creator, which allows for players to add a welcome personal touch to their player-character -- a huge step up from the first Nioh's bland protagonist, William.

    Man, did this game kick my behind like crazy. But it was such a fun experience that I never wanted to give up. I also love of you can customize your character this time. Though it does feel mostly the same as the first, it's still just as good. Also, there are cats that you can pet. So I was sold!

    I think everyone would agree that this game is such a improvement over the first game which was already great. The gameplay is really addicting… and the story is solid enough. One of the best soul-like games.

    Improves on every aspect of the original Nioh fantastically. Fast and fluid combat, very satisfying. The story and characters are hit or miss. Solid graphics and music. Overall a fun game.

    If I try really, REALLY hard to come up with flaws from the original game, all I can say is that it doesn't have Guardian Spirit leveling up, and soul matching can't get your equipment from +0 to +1.
    That's all.

    Everything has been improved, from little things to bug fixes and being able to see your character when fashioning them, to the magnificent (the best even) character creation I've ever seen. Everything from the old one is here, and more, all the gear, the sets, the weapons, most of the guardian spirits. But Team Ninja just keeps on adding more and more, more weapons, more sets, more equipment, the story is longer, some of the music is actually good this time, more missions while having 1's older levels as side quests sometimes, the difficulties are improved, there are more mechanics like the Stone of Penance and the Scrolls to make your stat customization even deeper, graces, remodeling gear to better suit your playstyle. Everything is executed perfectly.

    My only complaint about this game is the god awful netcode it has. Besides that, it's perfection. I was fully immersed, and still am to this day after putting in a full year into this game. I haven't even finished the last difficulty yet because the underworld is so satisfying and fun to do. The gear can go to +120 now and the underworld has 999 floors. It's an endless joyride, from start to finish, from the beginning of the story to the impressively handled continuation of 1's story. Everything is in here, you don't even need to play 1 besides for its story because Nioh 2 does everything, but better.

    The learning curve is very steep, with 49 different enemy types and A LOT of bosses. At the start of the game (Dream of the Samurai) you will be welcomed to the simpler mechanics and get to habituate yourself with the weapon type of your choice. But once your reach the    Nioh 2 is my second most played game ever, I have spent a thousand hours in this game and I believe it is a masterpiece.

    To give my past experience, I have beat all souls games. Sekiro, Nioh 1, Bloodborne and as many soul likes as I can find on steam. I even bought Returnal and beat it even though it is nothing like these games other than people find it a challenge. Nioh 2 has clear upgrades from the first. You will find many new skills with Yokai abilities that '' in my opinion'' make the game much easier.To give my past experience, I have beat all souls games. Once you get down the timing of the burst counter then the mobs and bosses will drop. You have to ki pulse and change stances or you are not going to get anything much from the combat system. I like the challenge. I like making builds with all the gear. This is a good game for the genre. I just cant give it a 10. The levels and mobs still feel the same and I found myself feeling the repetitiveness after a few hours. I love the boss fights and how you can make about any build you want. The options are there to approach the game however you want. So if you are a souls vet or new to the genre, this game is one that should be in your library.… Expand

    Best combat out of any souls game. Loot system is cool. Character creator is good. Difficulty is crazy sometimes but your character has so many tools and resources to conquer anything once you learn the fight.

    This is one of those few sequels out there that actually surpass its first title on everything (and Nioh 1 its badass already).

    I have to admit that I waited around 6 months after it came out due to all those bugs on PC, but they are all fixed and was worth it.

DLC and NG pluses are a must to experience the full enjoyment.     A solid addition to the Nioh franchise with an eerie atmosphere, challenging gameplay, and tight controls. At times it can feel repetitious, though, with enemies being heavily reused and bosses being somewhat disengaged in their combat. A very good game!

    Extremely fun game with a lot of care given to player choice. The plot is throwaway, the amount of loot can be anxiety inducing and it can be ridiculously difficult - although the ability to summon help makes it a little less arduous than the original. If you need a game to devour your time and deliver some outstanding combat, this is for you - 8 stars

    Solid 8.5/10 Love this game. This game is so freaking good! Not a fan of Dark Souls but this game is kinda like Sekiro Shadows Die Twice and Dark Souls but better! No regrets on my purchase! if you into this type of games. Highly Recommend it.

    I consider the original Nioh to be about an 8. A game with great gameplay, and an enormous assortment of missions to explore and finish. Well, Nioh 2 is bigger and better in every way. They've added large skill trees for pretty much everything, and have also greatly expanded the bestiary of Yokai you have to contend with, so it doesn't become repetitive.

    Just like the original Nioh    I consider the original Nioh to be about an 8. A game with great gameplay, and an enormous assortment of missions to explore and finish. Well, Nioh 2 is bigger and better in every way. They've added large skill trees for pretty much everything, and have also greatly expanded the bestiary of Yokai you have to contend with, so it doesn't become repetitive.

    Just like the original Nioh though, the story is of middling quality. I never really found it or the characters to be that engaging, and there are too many overlong cutscenes where people yammer on emotionally about political or military jargon. It reminded me of Phantom Menace in this regard, just way too much tedious yapping. The Souls series is the gold standard for cutscenes; short, meaningful, and awesome to watch. Like the original Nioh, there's also something inelegant about the combat. It's just kind of spammy and imprecise sometimes. Maybe that's the cost of having fights between these super-powered individuals. Going up against giant yokai with my character's own crazy abilities, I sometimes felt like I was playing a super-hero game, and not the grounded samurai combat which I love.

    Nioh 2 is a Great improvement from The original Nioh with a new“Transformation” mode which allows you to transform into 3 different Yokai’s a bird, demon and a Fish which is quite the improvement but Other than that Nioh 2 looks and feels the exact same as the Original Nioh which i don’t think is a bad thing but the graphics could be better. The Combat is so fun and you have 100 of mechanics and nearly infinity Content. You can grind if you want to minmax fast, but you dont need it.     The game is honestly an improvement from the first one with the creation of your character, the amount of weapons, combos etc also the coop is amazing as you can play the whole game with 3 players while collecting every item and have the same progress.

    Managed to snag this game for $19.90, and I have to say, I'm enjoying the customization options and improved frame rate. While I'm not really good at the combat system, I think it boils down to me having to practice as opposed to the game's mechanics.     Ottimo gioco per ps4, una rivisitazione di un soulslike in chiave giapponese. Ambientazione fantastica e gameplay molto vario grazie alle stance e al ritmo ki. Per me il miglior soulslike in assoluto, unico difetto ambientazioni e nemici in parte riciclati dal primo episodio.

    Fantastic game, the story isnt the best but it makes up for it with the combat it's equipment system and skills tree are complex and unique its very difficult so you are going to die alot of times but you will keep coming for more and more action

    An excellent soulslike that improved almost everything of its predecessor, mainly in diversity of gameplay, with a very welcome extension of the Yokai skill tree. For me one of the best games of the year, recommended especially for those who enjoy soulslike and samurai themes!

    At the beginning I started to feel like this game was a poor new addition to the first installment. Most secuels have similar mechanics in controls and gameplay. So does this game and it's nothing wrong with that. Take a look at Dark Souls franchise and other similar games.     Great Game like the first one! There are some new mechanics but not that many so for me maybe there is some room for improvement. Didn't like the menu map. But its a solid successor

    I love games who are mixed with some anime some Japanese some horror and some dark souls mode by the way I didn't played the first one and the boss fight and intro cut scenes are awesome well done great game

    If you liked Nioh 1, and DS series you probably gonna like this too. I think I liked Nioh 1 better. This monkey main character is just soooo f*ckin irritating, a real misarebla piece of sh*t from the start. Not to mention after he gets some power.     I platted Nioh2 and love it. It's a bit of a niche game but the gameplay is so good and rewarding. The co-op works perfect and it's so fun to run around with 2 randoms. I just love it, what a game.

    This game is more like Nioh 1.5. It seems like developers kept what worked in Nioh 1, fixed some issues like unfair bosses, introduced some new ideas like burst counter and character design. I think there are too many good ideas in both Nioh games: 2D art, 3D cutscenes, tea utensils, clan wars, reputation titles, a rich variety of weapons, complex upgrade trees for every weapon type,This game is more like Nioh 1.5. It seems like developers kept what worked in Nioh 1, fixed some issues like unfair bosses, introduced some new ideas like burst counter and character design. I think there are too many good ideas in both Nioh games: 2D art, 3D cutscenes, tea utensils, clan wars, reputation titles, a rich variety of weapons, complex upgrade trees for every weapon type, different stances, kodama locations and lots more... This is a very deep and complex game. I wish it was a bit less simple game like Sekiro because adding too many good ideas doesn't always add up to a perfect game. Another issue with this game is graphic resolution (I played it in Pro). I understand that they didn't want to sacrifice from frame rates but the resolution is like at least 5 years behind the competition. Other than if you are fan of Souls games or liked Nioh 1 you will certainly love this game. In some compartments Nioh games are even better than Souls games and Nioh 2 is the best Nioh game.… Expand

    I love this game. Amazing experience, the setting, story, graphics and gameplay are all amazing! I would have given this a 10 if it had done more to differentiate itself from its predecessor. That said, I'll keep buying iterations of this game, as long as Sony is making them.

    I enjoyed this more than Dark Souls, please don't hate me guys.

    Awesome game! Enjoyed it more that actual dark souls or sekiro, I liked the fact that you can use any weapons without your stats affecting that, enjoyed every boss fight, can't remembered one that I didn't like.

It more about the yokai and less about the humans. I did want more levels with all human battles but I guess that is not what they were going for in Nioh 2.     I liked the combat, a good evolution of powers and very challenging (I was angry sometimes kk).
    Cool story, with several elements of Japanese history and mythology, which I like a lot!
    The problem with the game are some repetitive stages and frustrating mechanisms and cameras.

    This Game is insane good! I am a souls fan and those game makes many things betta than dark souls. No searching for possible new ways (i can remember hours of just searching where to go next on dark souls) since the areas r in form of missions with a navigator, may not the best one but at least anything.

    Si con el primer Nioh el Team Ninja ya marcó la diferencia con uno de los mejores Souls-Like de la historia y el mejor en muchos aspectos como en el jugable y el de Build setup, con Nioh 2 vuelven a hacerlo y se marcan un juegazo tan exigente como divertido, con las nuevas mecánicas Yokai y las transformaciones. Una joya. Como único punto en contra podría ser que emplea el mismo motor queSi con el primer Nioh el Team Ninja ya marcó la diferencia con uno de los mejores Souls-Like de la historia y el mejor en muchos aspectos como en el jugable y el de Build setup, con Nioh 2 vuelven a hacerlo y se marcan un juegazo tan exigente como divertido, con las nuevas mecánicas Yokai y las transformaciones.     I absolut love this game, the mechanics, the gameplay, all the different weapons e armors. With almost 150 hours of gameplay I can say that if you like souls bourne games, you will like it. It is a hard game, extra punishing sometimes, but if you master it, you will become almost a god, with the right sets e moves. I liked this one more than Sekiro

    Great game solid as much as the first one. I prefer this series to all dark souls clones and even dark souls. Nioh is so smooth, faster paced and multiple combat moves / weapons makes it the best souls type game out their, in my opinion.

    Not a lot of prequels do a good job, but this one just flat out takes the cake! Awesome characters, addicting gameplay, and gives you a customizable character! Lots of skills to learn, and weapons to choose from. Basically, the old Nioh, but with a few improvements! I absolutely love it!

РЕКОМЕНДУЮ!Отличное продолжение первой части игры , рассказывающее предысторию событий, графика стала значительно лучше чем в первой части , боевка в основном сохранила свои устои , из минусов , можно сказать что игра стала значительно проще , чтобы как можно больше казуальных игроков смогли ее пройти , глитчей и внутри игровых проблем за долгое время игры не было найдено совсем !     The second Nioh is more than just a continuation of the legacy. The authors have been able to learn from the mistakes of the first game, and thanks to that this is an excellent action RPG that will not let you rest and you will want to keep playing. [Issue#303]

    I love a great third-person actioner, and I’m hard-pressed to think of one that nails the formula as perfectly as Nioh 2 does. The systems are pleasantly crunchy and there are a ton to dig into, the moment-to-moment fights get my blood pumping, and the artwork and theming are all spot-on. Too much of a good thing is too much of a good thing, but Nioh 2 is exactly the right amount.

    Nioh 2 does what a good sequel should. It capitalizes on the best parts of its predecessors while providing new content and mechanics to advance the franchise. While the story structure and level design are largely the same, added weapons, more build depth, and new combat mechanics all enhance what the game has to offer. It doesn't always hit the mark perfectly, but it's a solid addition to the series. And let's face it, being a samurai is awesome.
