I haven't had this much fun with a platformer in ages. I got this game as a 'free' PSN monthly game and hadn't heard of it before. This game is a solid hit of nostalgia that takes me back to my Sega Master System days playing Alex Kidd and The Ninja, and feels exactly like a cross between those two. This game is a solid hit of nostalgia that takes me back to my Sega Master System days playing Alex Kidd and The Ninja, and feels exactly like a cross between those two. I've played it in short bursts every day or two and my little boy (still too young to play himself) loves to watch me play this game. It's tough enough to make it a challenge and fun enough to make me keep coming back to try and get to the next level. I haven't finished it yet, but I'm pretty sure this game has enough momentum to keep me going until I get there.

TL;DR Got it free, but have had so much fun with it I had to give these guys something for making this great game, so it gets a 10/10 - I would pay good money for this game if I hadn't already got it free.

With manageable levels that feels like a puzzle themselves, simplistic gameplay, and challenges that will attract dedicated players, Ninja Senki DX is a pretty well rounded package for such a small price tag.

Ninja Senki DX is solid on its basic gameplay mechanics and definitively is a good and challenging retro game. It is not the best Tribute Games title but at least have new challenges that perfectly cover its cheap price.

The levels are challenging without being overly frustrating and the music is charismatic. Fans of the retro 8-bit games will enjoy Ninja Senki DX.
