While the fights from the show transfer well to the game’s arena, there’s just not much depth. If you’re looking for an entry point into the My Hero phenomena, steer clear of this game. It does no favors for newcomers since it requires some initial knowledge.

My Hero One's Justice makes an excellent first impression, but never truly lives up to its expectations afterwards. The main culprits? A combat system that lacks depth and a story mode that lacks difficulty.

My Hero One’s Justice is a competent brawler that makes effective use of its source material to craft something fans will most likely adore.

Should sequels never see the light of day, One’s Justice is still excellent comfort food for fans of the series.

Fun and visually stunning 3D brawler based on the anime series My Hero Academia. Not as good and polished as the best 3D fighting series such Soul Calibur VI or Tekken 7, but good enough to give it a shot.

This is actually a pretty interesting game, with a good roster and fun gameplay, although it’s a better choice for fans of the franchise rather than for hardcore fighting fans.

There’s definitely fun to be had with My Hero One’s Justice. It’s super easy to pick up and play, the action is fast and beautiful to look at, and it does a great job of adapting the quirks and abilities from the anime to a 3D arena fighter. That fun eventually starts to fade away due to shallow combat and a weak story mode, but overall, it’s not a bad first endeavor.

If there’s one fault My Hero One’s Justice has it’s a lack of ambition, to really try and go for something inventive and new, like its anime counterpart. Still, if you’re jonesing for more My Hero Academia, this will see you through the wait until Season 4.

My hero one's justice is a frantic fighting game specially designed for fans of the franchise. Broadly speaking, it is a very superficial game. With online mode being the most entertainment and starting hours it can offer.

This anime-styled fighter goes plus ultra for fans of the My Hero Academia franchise, but its lackluster single-player content feels phoned in.

My Hero: One’s Justice is just another manga adaptation from Bandai Namco. Built upon the mechanics created for the Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm series, MYHOJ feels empty and dull despite all the good fan service.

In the end, the game's biggest sin may be not embodying U.A.'s "Plus Ultra" spirit, and simply settling for being a decent, good-looking fighting game take on a popular anime franchise.

My Hero One's Justice is an ideal fighting game for fans of the series. Unfortunately, the not particularly refined gameplay makes it a repetitive game in the long run.

My Hero One’s Justice may be a faithful and stylish adaptation of the hit anime series, but all the fancy graphics in the world can’t do justice to a game whose kryptonite is a severe lack of real substance.

My Hero One’s Justice is a perfectly adequate fighting game, and a good adaptation of its source material - but it's not much more than that. It provides a great opportunity to play as some much loved (and hated) characters, showcasing the variety of powers each has on offer while being a fun, engaging, and challenging anime-based title, but it's not quite the heroic effort that we were hoping for.

It's a shame My Hero One's Justice's Story mode doesn't do a good job introducing the world of My Hero Academia, with several important narrative beats either missing or revealed through subtitles while you're busy trying to fight. The offline modes against AI don't do much for the game either. However, One's Justice's combat is both accessible and enjoyable. When two players face off--either online or off--the game captures the adrenaline-pumping feeling of My Hero Academia's most notable fights. Pulling off moves from the manga/anime and outsmarting an opponent with devastating combos feels rewarding, and that's enough to keep the player coming back to the game for more.

A decent tie-in game, something many anime properties never receive, but ultimately My Hero One's Justice can't live up to the standards set by the likes of the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm releases or even Dragon Ball Xenoverse titles. It's fun and filled with things to keep fans of the series happy, but those looking for a complex and challenging combat system won't find it here.

My Here One's Justice is your usual Japanese arena fighter tie-in and this means it's very fanservice oriented and a little bit unbalanced.

My Hero One’s Justice takes the essence of the source material and wraps it into an enjoyable package. This is by no means the definitive "My Hero Academia" experience a fan might have been hoping for, but it's still a fun one.

My Hero One’s Justice is not a poor offering, just a thoroughly uneven one that only the hardest-core Manga fans will be able to immerse themselves into. I enjoyed the fast-paced, accessible fighting with an art style that looks great in action, but everything around that gameplay leaves things to be desired.
