    Only 25 characters in a 2019 MK game, without old school classics like Reptile, Mileena, Ermac, Rain, Cyborgs, Smoke or even some characters from MK4, Deception or Armageddon, and a possible list with DLC ones like Spawn and Joker, Terminator and Ash who are irrelevant to the MK universe while Injustice 2 is older and had more characters???? The worst roster of entire MK series. It's a shame

    It is a disgrace to the Mortal Kombat Series (that I loved, especially MK9)

    There are plenty of other negative User Reviews so I do not feel I need to explain myself.

    Adding up to that the gear and customization system makes everything soulless. I would have very much preferred fixed costumes and skins with some more effort put into them instead of uninspired Blue Baraka.
    Also what's up with the female characters? I'm not a big fan of skimpy outfits as they were in MK9, but they could have at least made Jade the classic sexy character that she used to be back in the day. I mean, it used to be her gimmick, what's wrong about that? It feels like woke ideas messed up a game which did not have anything to do with politically correctness before. It's not insulting if you include one single barely dressed woman in the game, you know? Especially if being barely dressed and seducing was her character until two games ago.

    Regarding fatalities, it feels like they put effort just on the main ones, while secondary fatalities felt sub par. Brutalities would be nice, if you did not have to grind like a madman in order to get them.

    Regarding gameplay I think that's a matter of taste. I preferred more straightforward approach MK9 and X used to have.

    So sorry to see Mortal Kombat as it is now. I played every single chapter since UMK3, and I'm also a fan on the universe and lore, speaking of that...

    Closing with some pros:
    Nice story mode, I guess? The only really positive feature of the game that kept me entertained for a while. Nice cutscenes and approach, also nice fanservice. The rest can go.

    It seems that this game was made for you to give them your wallet. Its the same as a free to play game business model. Don t buy it, there are other games that offers you more content without paying extra money.

    This game lost the MK scent. Too many microtransactions, too politically correct, too repetitive, bad story, the worst roost. Really dissapointing Netherrealm becomes even worse than EA. Don't waste your money in this stuff.

    very well made game ruined by greed. Companies really need to wake up. The consumer hates micro-transactions. I don't want micro-transactions in a game i payed for PERIOD. You want to pull this crap then make it free to play. Just looking at the micro-transactions makes me sick to my stomach.

    This game is the perfect presentation of the corporate machine in videogames: horrible and long grindings, paywalls, random rewards for your effort (also known as lootboxes, but they don't "use that word" here), terrible PC port with no support whatsoever and patches that make no difference.

    This game must be killed. This abomination is everything wrong with the videogame market nowadays.

    Its a f*cking mobile game for 60 bucks!

    Graphics are totally outdated. MKX looks much better than this thing. Also the color scheme its too dark.
    Sound is terrible, Most soundtrack sounds like a superhero thing. MK its not that.
    Fatal Blow are beyond ridiculous. You could get your head stabbed three times and still keep fighting.
    I could keep going, but im already tired of this thing.

    Feels like a free to play mobile game made with an intention of taking your wallet under gun point. It's really shameful, 5 dollars for an alternative costume? Get out of here. Not buying any other NetherRealm or any Warner Bros game till this game is fixed. Really disappointed.

BUT STUNS EVERY 2 **** SECONDS when I can just watch how enemy take me 40% of my health with 1 big combo because i'm getting stuned in the air and after beating him i get another bs character with then FREEZ you instead of SHOCK and then another character who just BURN you to the ground. That's just ridiciolous at this point when i just throw at them **** for 1 hour and I'm getting insane. I'm Souls player, I know what fair-hard is. I know how it is like to fight 1 boss for 10 H and not getting angry because it's your foult.

    It's so sad to see one of the greatest games (not only a fighting game) is getting worse every time after the great mk9. Fighter girls with hijab, money all the way, seeing great characters total loosers in this one, online single player. They changed their way and I must say this way they've chosen will end mk legacy for sure if they do not pay attention and respect what mk fans want.

    I absolutely understand every single person who gave this game a bad rating. I wanted to like it, I really did. Mobile Kombat 11 is just a mobile game, but without the microtransactions, which makes it even worse, as you have no way around the pointless grinding. Mobile Kombat 11 is just a mobile game, but without the microtransactions, which makes it even worse, as you have no way around the pointless grinding. I am not really sure if Nethrerealm studios are not the brightest staff upstairs, or they have a weird sense of humor.The crypt chests are just like loot boxes. In order to get the cool skins, fatalities, brutalities & etc you need to open chests in the crypt. In order to open the chests, you need to gather 3 different kinds of currencies (please note that neither of those currencies can be obtained with real money) from the Towers of Time. In order to complete the towers of time, you need consumables, which are found in the chests in crypt, which I already mentioned is completely RNG. There is no way around that. You either have to regularly check the in-game store to see if your desired skin is available, so you can spend real money for it, or go through the senseless grind explained above.     I love Mortal Kombat, played since the first and it was always about the fighting and the fun of it. This new one doesn't seem to have that same objective in mind. The fighting is great and so is the graphics but i think it is messing the part where you play to unlock characters instead of just buying them. Oh and there is a LOT of grinding, good luck with that.

The krypt even though the best one they have ever made isn't that rewarding unless you grind for weeks or months maybe. I had a lot of frame rate drops that made the game, a fighting game which relys on good frame rate, difficult to play. I also found a lot fo the fatalities really uncreative, and kind of unspectacular. when it ran well the game could beI bought the game and , while I know its getting criticized for its political stance, my problem is technical. Fatalities are great (Kassie's heart fatality is the best, fight me) but it feels more like a chore to get to them because the fighting feels bland compared to mk9. I'm probably gonna return the game. Im sure the story mode is great but it says I can't play it for another 4 hours and I don't think I'll enjoy chugging through these fights just to see a story that will be readily available on youtube. It's a shame because I know they worked hard on it, but the gameplay itself isn't rewarding enough for me, sorry. Again if you are new to fighting games, great game to start with because things are slow, but they did take away the ability to chain different kombos so you might have to look at the fighting instructions if you want to land multiple hits.    … Expand

    So it pains me to say as things stand now this will be my finale purchase of a Mortal Kombat game.

    I hope NetherRealm Studios wakes up and stops pandering to people who never loved the series to begin with and reevaluates what it means to be a leader and not a follower in this video game business.    … Expand

    I feel scammed. They heavily promoted preorders because you would get a character, and since I liked the gameplay I saw I did it. I do NOT have the brutalities I love about the game, I cannot do them unless I unlock them, and to unlock them I cannot purchase them with money (even more than 100€ lol) nor with currency. I have to play a casino opening chests that have random loot trying to get the items I like. And the problem with that is that there are so many items, I did the math and for me it does not matter if it takes 3000 hours or 3 million hours, since I only play ONE HOUR PER DAY MAXIMUM.
    I am a father, I have a job, I have a family, I simply cannot do that. For me, this game has no brutalities, period. It was a lie, it is impossible for me to get them. And I will not main any character, by the time I will be tired of this game and move on, I will have mained maybe 3 or 4 characters, maybe even 6 if the game is super awesome and I have a ton of fun. And in that time, I will be super lucky if I manage to unlock 1 brutality for those, at max.

    Then we have a mode called Towers of Time, to get those brutalities. I have seen there might have, at least 1 per character. The problem is that in order to get that brutality, you have to play SO MANY games with that character, that by the time I will have access to that brutality, I will never want to play with that character again in my life. They put unreal limitations like "do 75 fatalities" in order to proceed, just to keep playing. It is absurd. I would prefer that they told me directly "you have to come back in 2 months to keep playing", if that want to pace out those, idk.
    Also, this Towers of Time, initially they seem fun, but you quickly see they are stupid and unrespectful, that use the same tactics as mobile games with their difficulties. It is not a matter of you playing, it is a matter of getting consumables and using them to negate the effects of the tower, since matches otherwise are totally stupid.

    To sum up, this game insults our intelligence and tries to make money out of the most psicologically unmoral ways, like mobile games. It is aimed at triggering your ludopaty, your anxiosness of buying (this is why you only see a few options that have a timer. If you want that brutality/skin, you better buy it fast or it is gone forever).
    It is a good fightning game, but the disrespect I have received AFTER PAYING 100€ is absolutely ridicolous. Are you really not going to give me the brutalities after paying 100€? Take your stupid game and give me back my money.    … Expand

    - For every character's tutorial done, you get a custom. Jacqui's costume is a Rainbow-Pride outfit. And you can't ignore it, because the AI will fight you while wearing this costume. - They toned down Skarlet's    The gameplay is great, but too much SJW crap.

    Shao Kahn as DLC, SJW politics where it doesn't belong, Microtransactions, broken towers of time and an overly time consuming grind makes what could have been one of the best Mortal Kombat games a disappointing experience. I'd give this a much higher rating otherwise. Please, at least fix the tower and make it much less of a grind fest.

    tambien estan OP las caidas rapidas en los kombos, no deberian estar (segun yo).

    Pasando a otra cosa, la Kripta esta buena pero esta llena de cosas inutiles como consumibles de torre inutiles que solo ayudan en las torres del tiempo (me refiero a que son NECESARIOS en las torres del tiempo, no digo que lo sean completamente pero con las modificaciones del rival es practicamente imposible no tener que utilizarlos) lo que nos lleva al proximo error.

    LA DIFICULTAD DE LAS TORRES DEL TIEMPO, aqui algunas pueden ser aceptables PERO NO LA MAYORIA, por ejemplo: en las torres del tiempo de loot de scorpion, aqui el primer combate esta facil, es bueno, pero no puedo pasar del segundo por las estupidas modificaciones que estan OP para el rival, aqui yo tengo envenenamiento y el rival puños de fuego, el envenamiento avanza muy muy rapido y no ayuda que el rival tenga ataques OP que con un simple kombo pequeño me quite 290.00 (mas o menos) de vida, NO PUEDO PASAR DE EL SEGUNDO COMBATE, otra modificacion con la que tambien se pasaron de poder es la resistencia de golpes del rival (me refiero a que los golpes causen menos daño y/o la resistencia a los lanzamientos, kombos que te lanzen por los aires,etc.)

    Me parece que esta mal que hayan metido las torres de principiante, guerrero y experto (no me refiero al concepto, me refiero a que hayan incluido 3 torres iguales) estaria bien quitaran la de pricipianto o experto para incluir un modo mas divertido (como test your might, test your luck o Tag team! o algo nuevo)

    me parece que lo de las micro transaciones que los usuarios dicen no es verdadero, por lo que no esta mal, lo que esta mal es que sea muy dificil conseguir equipo o skins, por ejemplo: si de por si es dificil conseguir una mascara (de 60) y unas espadas (de 60) y un cinturon (de 60) y un skin (de 60) y unos brutalitys (de varios, no se cuantos haya por cada personaje) y otra fatality (que al menos son 1 por conseguir pero son muy dificiles de encontrar con tantos cofres, y unas intros (de 4 y muy dificiles de conseguir) y unos outros ( de 4 y tambien dificiles de conseguir) ahora imaginense tener que repetir eso con 25 personajes + los DLC que vayan saliendo, no eran necesarios tantos skins siendo que la mayoria son solo cambios de color de algunos,yo creo que seria mejor haber hecho menos pero de mas calidad y mas diferentes unos de otros.

    La historia me parecio muy buena, no tanto como otros pero si era interesante, excepto por la muerte de Shao Kahn, yo creo que como Ed Boon dijo que a los escritores se les tiene que dar el gusto de vez en cuando (o algo asi dijo), de hecho esa muerte es casi igual de mala que la de Mileena.

    No me quejare de los finales pero si estan raros algunos, Netherrealm Studios, si ustedes hicieron los finales asi porque los politicamente correctos (esos que lloran por todo y que "buscan igualdad") los presionaron a ustedes para hacerlo asi o por miedo a ellos, pues porque los obedecen jajajaja, en primer lugar: pues simplemente son una minoria muy ruidosa
    y en segundo lugar: (y lo mas importante) esa gente ni compra ni comprara tus juegos a pesar de que los hagas politicamente correctos por el simple hecho de que no les interesa, a ellos solo les gusta criticar porque se sienten superiores haciendolo.

    Kombatants: Here is where the game comes through and literally all points in my review come from (beside story mode). MK has some great characters, with great moves. I decided to buy the game this week, after Gamespot's review, I tried to ignore all the negative comments on YouTube, but I shouldn't.     This is my first review on Metacritic ever and for the first time I feel that I need to add to all the outrage surrounding the release. Maybe if fewer people buy it or the **** gets big enough some other devs think twice before engaging in such predatory tactics.

    I won't comment on the greedy, overcomplicated and grindy unlock system cause others are doing it enough, but when my girlfriend and me finished the story mode and jumped to Local Versus it turned out that all unlocks / customisations are available only for Player 1. The "guest"/ 2nd player player that joins local versus match is limited only to default presets and no unlocks UNLESS he creates his own Playstation Account and buys ANOTHER copy of Mortal Kombat and unlocks everything again. This is unthinkable and I cannot imagine ANY developer ever saying "thats a good idea" to something like that.

    Bad stuff is happening to the industry, Warner Bros are just insulting their clients. Where are the times of buying a good, honest and well made Mortal Kombat games and have fun playing them with your friends on one couch and variety of options and modes available?

    The gameplay is good, the plot is great, but it's extremely sad for me to see one of my favorites franchises with abusive microtransactions and trying to be politically correct. They are not making the games for the fans nowadays, microtransactions and sjws are ruining the game industry..

    I've always considered myself against review bombing... An exception must be made for this game and its sad... cause the core gameplay is pretty damn good. This game is predatory in its economy and microtransaction design even going as far as to sell you a character that you only have to play 4 story levels to get on your own (they have patched in a description in the store, but on releaseI've always considered myself against review bombing...     I just love the latest Mobile Kombat! It has everything that I want and need in a game. As a full-time mom I don't have the time to learn all the nuances and play people online. Not to mention the community is so toxic. Stop saying "frame trap", I don't know what that means but it sounds offensive!     I just love the latest Mobile Kombat! It has everything that I want and need in a game. As a full-time mom I don't have the time to learn all the nuances and play people online.     There's a great customize or "kustomize" option that lets me set an AI to fight for me. I don't have as much free time as I used to but with this option I can still play while I meal prep for the week, clean the living room, do dishes, and catch up on my guilty pleasure of reading romance novels. This way I can still earn currency to unlock the randomized chests in the krypt! It's so exciting, I never know what I'm going to get! With so much to unlock, this game will last me a long time before I get everything. They're so generous! It's great that they made the game accessible to so many with this option. My AI Jade is so cool and I love watching the game play itself! I only have to step in and actually play the game every now and then. I'm making a Cetrion next, I look so much like her it's scary.

    Speaking of romance novels, the shirtless guys in this game are just dreamy. I took Jimmy to soccer practice and the other moms were so interested. I'm team Liu Kang with tattoos because I like bad boys but Karen just loooves how beefcake Geras is. I'm glad the women look like they take themselves seriously though. I'd hate to get jealous about how I looked before I had kids. Some of the costumes look like fiberglass and remind me of the cars I drove in college before I needed a minivan. I just love my Kias and even owned a Prius. Beep beep! It's 2019, more space suit fighters please!

    The story mode is super cool. I mean time travel?! Who saw that coming? I don't know if the series ever used that concept to patch up plot holes before. It's super creative and while I don't expect Mobile Kombat to be as good as my romance novels I was really surprised by character development. Could you imagine fighting an evil undead version of yourself? Talk about soul searching (calling Deepak Chopra, take notes!) How cool is it that Ronda Rousey voices Sonya? Girl Power! She says every line with the same confident voice. This game is so progressive in so many ways. It makes me happy that Jimmy can have powerful female role models like her in the spotlight.

    I'd like to thank WB and Netherrealm for finally making a Mobile Kombat that us soccer moms can enjoy. I used to think the series was too extreme, but now that I can do the cool things, I see the appeal. You've gained an entire audience with us, keep up the good work. Since you toned down the females in this game can the next one remove fatalities and gore? I'd love to be able to play this game with my son. I bet he could create a good AI fighter, he's so special and smart.    … Expand

    Too many time tower fights are unfair. I'd argue the most important aspect of a 1v1 fighting game is that the two fighters always start on even grounds. That is not so in MK11

    Bought the game in pre order, but can't play more than 10 minutes because of "server unavailable. Try again later". NRS and Warner say near nothing about this, and more than 2 weeks after release they don't even try to fix yet. Screw it, never buy a Nether realm studios game in pre order, also never buy a warner game in pre order! Wish I have waited for the complete edition....
