It surpasses its predecessor in some ways, such as the visuals and exploration opportunities. However, the emphasis is more on action and less on survival horror this time around, so the atmosphere is not nearly as tense or as impressive as in Metro 2033. If you're looking for horror, stronger story-telling and intense atmosphere, choose 2033. If you prefer a more Call of Duty style approach, pick up Last Light.… Expand

    Last light is the Continuation of 2033 and with better characters, in my opinion, especially Khan and Pavel. Game sucks at Face animations and feels outdated, but otherwise Graphics are good in general, game-cutscenes are great though videoclip-cutscenes are not.
    Story is interesting but development of love interest is way too quick.
    What this game is really known for is atmosphere. It is UNLIKE any other Russian/Soviet themed game. It is done way better than anything I have seen. Overall, I would say l play this over 2033.    … Expand
