    The previous metro games, Metro 2033 and Metro last light were among my favorite games in the past. I waited excitedly for the rumoured metro Exodus, and when it finally appeared, I got it. I played the game, as one could guess.
    The graphics are great and pleasant to look at.
    The game isn't too demanding on the computer. My computer, which has problems staying up with the newest releases    The previous metro games, Metro 2033 and Metro last light were among my favorite games in the past.     The graphics are great and pleasant to look at.
    The game isn't too demanding on the computer. My computer, which has problems staying up with the newest releases often has problems, but I surprisingly had little problem playing it.

    Then the controls. The controls are exactly like the previous metro games, which brings into my mind a certain nostalgia. Too bad I hated them in all of the metro games. The aiming feels awkward, the sensitivity too. It feels outdated and out of sync.
    Then the gameplay. I don't like the open-world setting in this game, I think a guided tour like the previous ones would be more fitting. Half the time I don't know where to go and the other half I'm either walking through swamps or killing annoying enemies throughout the trip.

    In conclusion, the game looks beautiful. The setting is great, the characters are mostly understandable, I like the Slavic accents, the world and the story is interesting, but the gameplay and controls are bad.    … Expand

    It was a good ride overall, for my first one of the series. It does a decent job in all counts but nothing outstanding.

Но есть и проблемы связанные скорее всего из-за бюджета - это анимации и отсутствие синхронизации губ и озвучки. А так советую поиграть.Эта игра великолепна.     Well at least from the references from this game I got the cannon ending in 2033, but not Last Light. So I have a massive major disconnect playing Artyom in Exodus. Well considering he blew himself to hell in Last Light. I have already gone through the emotional roller coaster of the death of Artyom in Last Light. It was epic and he went out like a boss.

    The no kill in certain sections or get a crap ending is total scripted BS. Why no kill? They will kill you as soon as you see you so FTS all is fair in love and war. Another BS move the developers pull very late game. You know all that grinding and exploring to the max? The developers take all your weapons and loot off you. Yeah its like restarting the game from scratch. FTS waste of time grinding the previous levels to max for nothing.

    Ok what I was looking for was a Stalker game type of vibe. Open ended maps, freaky mutants, hostile factions, dangerous anomalies and environments. While using funky strange customization weaponry/gear to survive. I did want a more open exploration Metro game and I got one that met my general expectations. However this game also made me miss the actual Metro tunnel environment. I liked half of the levels/maps and disliked the other half.

    The moral system is dumb and makes for a slow boring stealth game if going for the best of the two endings. The game looks and sounds great. As for the story ok and the VA passable to meh. Standing around listening to all the exposition dumps on the train was/is kind of boring. Woah they used to put all the exposition dumps in gameplay sections in the Metro Redux. The choice to still keep the protagonist silent in the main game was immersion breaking. For all the gameplay flaws Sam and the Two Colonels DLC prove that story wise a voiced character works out better to tell a story.

    The scripted sequences and how they deal with the bosses human and monster are so unsatisfying. The boats are awful to use in one section, but thankfully I found I could navigate around that map on foot mostly. The gunplay is not the best and the combat when fighting monster types comes across as so cheap and amateurish.

    Metros to my mind were never strong FPS games. It was all the other stuff that elevated the Metro 2033/Last Light experience. A tightly scripted linear experience is better for keeping the player focused constantly on the story and narrative. The ambience and atmosphere was amazing in those games. In this Metro the option to meander about poking around makes the story and narrative take a back seat to the exploration factor. Completing 2033/Last Light I have the richness of those memories to add to Exodus. So Metro Exodus is a weaker narrative experience without the first two games to flesh out the characters and world building. I have replayed this game twice and I probably will again. Very immersive game, but also very story cliche and full of old naff gaming tropes.

    Sam Story DLC: The levels were small linear cut off areas. With the play time padded out by mines in a cheap lazy gimmicky way. Yeah more Exodus, but not better Exodus. Have fun getting stuck on the finicky environment and getting cheap shotted. Ending was ok I suppose, but the bosses human/monster were unsatisfying conclusions.

    Two Colonels DLC: In the vein of old style Metro this new DLC should be good right? I just found the gameplay slow, clunky, finicky with cheap shot mechanics in very tight spaces. Very short chapter and so maybe just for uber fans.    … Expand

    This game is great, lovely small open world, no hand holding, just a harsh post apocalyptic shooter with a few RPG elements.

    The train makes the game really immersive, since you want to protect the crew and find ( spoiler) The weapons feel great, I loved the way the backpack works, you can upgrade any weapon and make small adjustments.

    The graphics are some of the best on PS4. The atmosphere is breathtaking, terrifying surroundings, day night cycle, terrible humans who roam the world. Traps. Cannibals.

    For me this is the best PS4 shooter there is. It’s more than a shooter, it’s an immersive experience.    … Expand

Хорошая концовка в твоём прохождении ПРЯМО зависит от того, спасёшь ли ты какого-нибудь бомжа на помойке или нет. когда прошёл игру, читал условия прохождения игры на хорошую концовку, оказывается узнаёшь, что бомжей, которые в тебя стреляли, оказывается НЕ НАДО БЫЛО УБИВАТЬ, ведь в пониманииАБСОЛЮТНО нелогичные условия для получения концовки предоставляют тебе господа разработчики.     This Game is so immersive and and fun to play, story was also fantastic love how they still kept in the missions where you are trapped underground no longer open world and get that feeling of claustrophobia.

    Having played the first two games of the Metro games I am happy to see that we are no longer stuck in the Moscow Metro but instead liberated and allowed to explore the devastation from the war.

I think 4A games kinda lost the formula in metro. The characters were good, Anna, Artyom and Miller were for me the best characters, I felt more invested in them. this game was a more forgiving in getting the good ending.     We got to talk about the bugs that this game still have. I finished this game today and this game was released more than a year ago. I played this game on the ps4 and my game crashed twice. Anna getting in to walls, grass floating, arrows floating, etc.

    Except the crashes the game was enjoyable,

    I'll give it an 8 out of 10 because I love this franchise. I hope 4A games makes another another one in the metro universe.    … Expand

    Just before I get in deep into my review I thought I’d say it’s ridiculous that people got mad about the epic games exclusivity. It has no effect on the price of the game or the quality of it. It doesn’t effect the person buying the game at all either. All pc players have to do is install the epic games launcher, buy it at the same price, and install it. Had a whole lot of fun with the game. From start to end it never gets boring. And for how short the game is, (you can compete it in one weekend). It manages to fit tons of content in without feeling forceful. I do wish it was a little longer though. The characters are realistic and make the game feel a lot less gloomy and pointless. All though there are parts of the game that make you feel hopeless. Someone keeps you going. Both your character Artyom, and you going. The ending is strong and impactful with some great twists. I like how the game rewards you for being a good person In general. I also love the combat and it feels great both outside and in the Metro. You’ll feel tension fighting both humans and mutants. When running out of ammo you can simply stab your enemy in the throat.The crafting system is a lot more fun than having the vendors from previous games. Overall I love this game and it still holds up more than a year later. The replay ability is not bad either. You may find your first play through slow and methodical and your second crazy and action pact. Regardless it’s fun either way you play it. In conclusion it’s clearly worthy of being called a metro game. It stays true to its previous titles while having a very different plot. Many improvements and not many new problems… Expand

    Metro Exodus of course has its drawbacks like sometimes weird shooting, not perfect animation etc. But all these minuses can be forgiven for just an atmosphere. We play videogames to jump into another world and to live there for a while. In terms of the above Metro Exodus works.

The game does have a few issues such as long loading times and the character animation can be quite clunky.     Frustrating. I have completed the 1st 2 games & enjoyed them, but I think I'm going to have to cut this one short before I finish it after getting to the 3rd open area. Too many design features make this annoying to play. I want to like it & find small bits of enjoyment out of it but then it gets in its own way again. Waypoints & compass system are a pain to use. Small bugs like notFrustrating. I have completed the 1st 2 games & enjoyed them, but I think I'm going to have to cut this one short before I finish it after getting to the 3rd open area. Small bugs like not reacting to button presses. The control scheme is all over the place, & the story is bland as hell. I also cannot get the sound to balance on my soundbar, with npc's calling me on the radio while I'm under attack so I can't read the subs, & the voices are really quiet so I miss talk that may have made the story more engaging. If you turn the volume up then you're just getting blasted with the gunfire & monsters sqeeling at you. At other times the speech is fine, but even with adjustment it doesn't help. Then there's the giant sybox bug in the 3rd open area which is hilariously 4th wall breaking.

    This is my personal opinion & I'm sure there will be enjoyment for the right people, but I don't have the patience to deal with this game anymore.    … Expand

    Game is awsome but, very bugs, sensitivity is so small, physics is stupid, enemy npc is stupid, mutants is op af Enemy and mutants have bugs lagging their body Shooting at them is ignored Game have so good story, maps, guns but this is it what destroys the impression of the game.

    The least favorite of the Metro series. Something is missing that the first two episodes offered. On standard pS4 it suffers from framerate drops.

    Let me start with that I’ve read all the Metro books&played all the games&I’d have to say that Metro Exodus is the weakest of the 3 games though it’s better than the book it’s based on (Metro 2035).As I’m sure many PC players have noticed,Exodus is trying very hard to copy the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series though it never really comes close&boy does it try.For the 1st time in the series itLet me start with that I’ve read all the Metro books&played all the games&I’d have to say that Metro Exodus is the weakest of the 3 games though it’s better than the book it’s based on (Metro 2035).As I’m sure many PC players have noticed,Exodus is trying very hard to copy the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series though it never really comes close&boy does it try.For the 1st time in the series it introduces an open-world concept that isn’t quite open-world.It’s successful in the wandering through an empty map but only serves a purpose of going between linear missions,from pt A to pt B.Which is highly ironic,it’s an ‘open-world’ game that’s trying to hide that it’s a completely linear game similar to the 1st 2 games.You can tell that the open-world part of the game was just shoe-horned in to meet today’s open-world expectation.No metro in Metro

    As for the story,oh boy the story.In the 1st 2 games of the series you’d get a synopsis of the story&where you’re headed on the loading screen.In Exodus,it turns out this is all the story you’re going to get(not to mention the loading screens on PS4 could be upwards 8-10mins in places).The story here has really gone off the rails,pun intended.It simply doesn’t exist.The characters have huge exposition dumps,in the English dub,they actually talk over each other&it’s a mess of voices. They talk AT you so much that you don’t even care to listen. But the worst character of all is your good ol’ wife.Who NEVER shuts up!! I still don’t know what her purpose is;she’s completely useless&usually wanders off when you’re away so when you come back you find out that you have to go save her yet again(Unless you’re wandering the land like I was&fell into a hole nearly on top of her,triggering a story mission where she was passed out by herself.&what did she do when I found her?Start yabbering about how I saved her,&I’m her hero&hacking a lung.) Later on there was a doctor character(never gets a name)who you think is going to have a purpose within the story but you’d be wrong.Wifey takes care of that thought.Same with the govt leftovers in a bunker.Within the story,they tell you that all the radiation was a lie,but in game wandering around you’ll keep coming upon random patches of radiation as though it’s once again trying to be S.T.A.L.K.E.R.You constantly need to change your filter,but need crafting supplies to make them,not once does the game ever think you won’t be able to have these supplies on you.

    Time doesn’t change for mission type.If you want to sneak in under cover of darkness, you better make sure you sleep b/c that’s all that determines day/night (there’s no setting dusk, dawn or anything in between).The game doesn’t set your time for the mission.I literally went into a mission that didn’t say until I was in it&already auto-saved,that we wanted to sneak in&it was still daylight. After unsuccessfully trying to get past the enemies in daylight about 20 times,I finally just sat there for 10mins real time for it to get dark before I could successfully complete the mission without having to kill every enemy in the area.

    There are no longer any ammo pick-ups that existed in the 1st 2 games. Any&all ammo must be crafted&the crafting system is never really introduced or explained in-game.You have to play through half the first open-world level before you unlock a crafting table in the train.You know,the table you need for that ammo creation.Disclaimer:the only ammo you can create in the field is ball bearings,the worst type. &b/c there is no free ammo in the world, you will constantly run out due to the constantly spawning and re-spawning enemies in the open world.I had to melee so many enemies due to being out of ammo.

    All modifications must be found in world.Where once there were traders that you could purchase gun attachments and weapons that suit your play style or the mission requirements, Exodus has no currency&there are no traders.Everything must be found in level or on enemies.The most baffling part is that this game doesn’t give you ammo from enemies.If you pick through the enemies afterwards you’ll get weapon attachments,which can have unlimited repeats.Once in a while you may be lucky enough to stumble onto ONE bullet in an enemies’ gun. Woohoo.
    You have to switch your weapons so much due to each mission being different but you can only switch at the train which is always on the other side of the map&there is no fast travel option.&then you can’t use the best weapons for the mission b/c you won’t have any ammo&thus are relegated to using whichever has ammo available.

    Very good game, 20+hrs. Nice graphics, good shooter, very realistic. Movement is not very fluid in many cases you will hit something in the environment many times without realizing what is it, even with some "bosses", movement it very hard and will be frustrating sometimes. But overall a ver todos game for the series!

    I wanted to give this game a higher score but it is unplayable on my ps4 pro. It is without a doubt not optimized well at all, and runs at maybe 24 frames per second. I had to put it down.

    Два полковника лютый кал: унылая “трогательная” история про охуенное взаимопонимание этих двух хуесосов не впечатляет, геймплей это просто жопа, в начале полчаса ходишь по вонючим коридорам, поджигаешь аналог паутины и мобов, которые выскакивают на секунду, при этом охуенно дамажа, потом смотришь криво сделанные геймплейные катсцены, потом идет еще более кривой и жалко выглядящий экшн с перестрелками (сначала валит толпа, которая по тебе не стреляет, потом надо прятаться за укрытием, вставать и стрелять минуты две), в конце полчаса ходишь, постреливая мутантов и в самом конце супер убогая и кривая драка с боссом-гориллой, это просто пиздец. Короче, взяли одну из самих мерзких локаций из оригинала, и в этом была ошибка (вторая худшая локация используется во втором длц). Лучше бы сделали мясной шутер в Ямантау, в это хотя бы играть было бы фаново и интересно.Самоповторы, отсутствие фантазии, хохлы - это вся суть серии метро. Длц (а на фоне них, кстати, оригинал смотрится прямо таки шедевром) полностью убедили меня в том, что 4А самая худшая и бездарная гейм девелопмент компания в СНГ. Плюс ко всему какая-то нелепая антикоммунистическая пропаганда, прикол в том, что тамошние “коммунисты” были намного адекватнее их противников. Единственный плюс заключается в том, что ГГ перестал молчать. 0/10

    История Сэма тоже говно, правда выпустили в открытый мир и была прикольная сцена с пьянкой. Но если бы они сделали так, что они бы в итоге бухали с этим мутантом я бы поставил 10, а так только 1/10    … Expand

Imagine my shock when I started, and towards the end of the game couldn't put it down. Got hit with a Molotov towards the end of a level and the only way to fix it was to restart that entire section all over again. It was irritating for an initial playthrough because I wanted to know what was going to happen, not so much when I went back and played the entire game all over again just for fun. Or when I restarted again for each of the DLC's
    That's another thing, the additional content was very well done - and for the game perfectly despite it not being Artyom as the PC.
    I gave it a 10 despite the glitch, because it's something I feel like, if you haven't experienced it by now - you really should!    … Expand

    The gameplay feels old, The story feels plain, but the world around You is amazing! Tight corners of Moscow's metro, old tunnels, and claustrophobic spaces all feel authentic. You are convinced that you are on the edge of humankind. The ending made me a little depressed and still makes me to this day!

    This game is utter trash. The loading times are atrocious, there are way too many glitches, and the story sucks. To get the "good ending" in this game, you have to play like a saint and not kill anybody in "certain" areas that the game doesn't tell you. The game play is just meh, stealth and gun play is fine, but boss fights are miserable. Don't buy this game if you value your sanity.

Aim acceleration is enabled by default on the default preset (4) but using preset 2 removes that, although the input delay is still there. Атмосфера предшественников сохранилось и даже усилилась заброшенными домами, радиационной пусташью и тот факт, что в метро мы будем находится от силы 5% никак не усугубляет атмосферность, дух и историю игры, а скорее играет роль свежего глотка воздуха для всей франшизы и эксперементом для его фанатов. Образы всего экипажа отпечатались у меня в голове на долгое время, эти сильные но в то же время добрые, родственные души, которые не оставят равнодушным многих; Дамирка - казахский парень, всепрощающий и помогающий, Идиот - главный лицедей и библиотека всего экипажа, Сэм - американский сукин сын, матерый боец и умелый повор, правда в начале немного подбешивал его стереотипный ход мысли и образа ( в отдельности хочется поговорить о отдельном дополнений про Сэма - история интересная, персонажи живие и за них хочется переживать. Чего только стойт момент пьянки Сэма и Капитана субмарины ), Степа - самый противоречивый персонаж, с одной стороны сильный, крепкий и устрашающий '' Русский медведь '' но с другой стороны - добрый, чуткий и трепетный здоровяк, Князь - молодой, бодрый и очень энергичный живчик, Токарев (Тэтэшник) - мужик обычный, умелый с золотыми руками и инвентаризатор и тех обслуга снаряжения всего экипажа, Леша - человек с самым большим либидом на Авроре, но такой же большой силой духа и отваги, Ермак - добродушный старик-машинист, Крест - этокий подмастерье и большой любитель техники, Аня - пассия нашего Артемки и по совместительству главная заноза в заднице Спортанцев после главы '' Волга '', Катя и Настя - ну тут говорить мало чего, Катя - лекарь и слуга Гипократа на борте старого поезда, а Настя - маленькая девочка, поддерживающая веру всего экипажа о наступлений лучших времен, Мельник - полковник специализированной группировки Спартанцев, человек службы, чести, отваги и мужества, человек с тяжелой рукой.
    Все бы ничего, но ввиду полной '' немоты '' Артема пропадает чувство погруженности, хочется хоть как то ответить персонажам, что я аж начал кивать им в ответ, лишь бы поняли меня.
    Атмосфера атмосферой, но и про графику не стоит забывать - моя оценка 6.5 из 10.
    Так же много недочетов по технической стороны: много фризов, долгие загрузки, частые сбой и баги системы ( вплоть до удаления всех сохранений и попаданию под текстуры на ровном месте ) по технике 5 из 10.
    Но эти факты не помешали мне наслаждаться игрой и ее живой историей.

    The game has an amazing atmosphere and an amazing story. That is an undisputable fact. The open world elements are fine. There is honestly nothing wrong with them. Instead of being solely linear now, the game allows for a little bit of non linearity which is great imo. What isn't great are the goddamn clunky controls and gameplay.     I really enjoyed this entry in the Metro series, much more then the last 2 and those ones were awesome. The graphics in this game are probably some of the best of seen in a ps4 game, so much tiny details in every level, left me in aw of what i was looking at. I personally enjoyed the mini open worlds much more, gave you more of a feeling of exploration without to much excess stuff likeI really enjoyed this entry in the Metro series, much more then the last 2 and those ones were awesome.     I played the previous games and loved every moment of them.
    but this game is just totally different and unplayable in my mind. from bad lip syncing, and delays in speech, to low quality storytelling, terrible game mechanics, very long loading screens and simply feels like this is just an attempt to squeeze more bucks from the avid players of metro. this will not be    Bad, simply bad.

    Un juego del que esperaba más sinceramente. El juego adolece de una cantidad de bugs impresionante (enemigos que se mueven después de muertos, armas que desaparecen y disparas con la mano, cámara insufrible en la furgoneta etc.) Lo más destacable del juego es su historia y sus escenarios que dan la sensación de confinamiento y la atmósfera es absorvente.

    I see the butthurt PC players found their way on here ... Exodus is by far the most expansive and well fleshed out game in the Metro series. The controller sensitivity threw me off for the first two minutes but it's fine on full sensitivity. Other than than, I am loving the storyline and beautiful visuals of post apocalyptic Russia. Absolutely deserves an 8.5 or 9/10, but the reviews haveI see the butthurt PC players found their way on here ... Exodus is by far the most expansive and well fleshed out game in the Metro series.     This is a solid 1st person shooter. Despite the top notch graphics, this game is let down by loading times. Come on Deep Silver you can do better! 4 minutes of loading time on my PS4. Such a wasted opportunity. Graphics 10/10, Audio 9/10, Gameplay 8/10, Loading times 0/10.

    So I'm new to metro played the first 2 this week and completed them to prep for exodus and I LOVED them! However exodus just won't click for me! I've never played a game with such clunky and slow controls! Severe lack of ammo and to Craft it is extortion! Awful game!

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Creatures spit in Artyom's face and gas mask gets broken. Receives 4-5 kicks from that blind ape, falls down with it, Gas mask is fine. Gotta love this. The graphics are beautiful. Lovely level design, especially Taiga, loved the idea of moving with the train through the four seasons. You have a lot to explore, but it can get a bit boring. Chapters are divided between exploring ( a lot), shooting and stealthy missions, or go full rambo if you want. Keep in mind that, like the previous games, it will affect your ending. Characters are not that interesting and the story, plot are a bit rushed but it didn't bothered me that much. I don't consider it the best of the trilogy, but it's a good game. It still has that feeling that kept me going until the end, the same feeling that i had on 2033 and last light.… Expand

    Nachdem ich es aufn PC nicht richtig spielen konnte, habe ich es mir jetzt für die Ps4 geholt. Ich fand das Spiel gut, aber irgendwie habe ich das Gefühl, dass ich mich in ein paar Jahren nicht mehr an dieses Spiel erinnern werde. Irgendwie fehlte was.     Having moved the action away from the dark tunnels of Moscow's underground onto a train, going into the unknown and forced to make stops throughout the journey, Metro Exodus' authors created a memorable interactive adventure consisting of happiness from discovering love and grief from irreplacebale loss, hope of better future and despair from understanding the truth. On top of that one might call Exodus a distorting mirror that reveals the most horrible sins of mysterious Russian soul: heresy and servilism.

    Overall, Metro Exodus is an enjoyable shooter. Taking Metro out of the Metro is a good move for the series, but the game still provides plenty of claustrophobic locations for those who enjoyed the dark tunnel crawls of Metro games past. The ammunition system is still limited, but it feels better managed and more forgiving this time out, although I can still see it as being frustrating to some players. If you haven't played a Metro game before or were put off by the games in the past, give Metro Exodus a chance. You can catch this train running and enjoy the ride.
