    I’ve gotta say I don’t understand the tearing down this game got. Technical issues aside, mostly fixed now anyway, this is a fun game.
    The graphics are great, as is the music and sound, select parts of the dialogue are poor but mostly good.
    I can definitely recommend this game.

    All this hate, jkust because the animations arent good enough...

    The rest of the game is absolutely great, I would give it an 85/100, but well, counter score as always on Metacritic.

Mass Effect is definitely one of a kind, and despite the unfortunate conclusion of ME3, grabs you by the heart and creates some great memories, which is hard to say about the other 95% out there.

    Andromeda does not deserve the hate its getting, plain and simple. The main cast is all fantastic, and the supporting cast are just as essential, with different characters blooming at different times, sometimes through direct conversations, and sometimes through eavesdropping via the metallic reverberations of their voices off of the hull as you're passing by. The detail to attention in this game is unreal. Leather pinches and squeezes audibly, dust and dirt build up on your visor and suit when you stay planet side on a desert planet for an extended period of time, and dynamic dialogue that reacts to your actions in the middle of gameplay?! Get. Out. Of. HERE!

    Yes, there are issues with the animation of the character models, but that is such an underwhelming negative in comparison to the vast amount of quality content. And the prerendered movies? Outrageously awesome.

    Keep on BioWare Montreal. Coming from someone who loves to create, I can imagine the pain that comes from receiving such negative feedback after fostering a project with such love, but please don't give in. As someone who respects the series very much, I can tell you guys I'm going to buy the **** out of the next Mass Effect game you guys release.    … Expand

    Brilliant game, great story. Character models ARE a bit....ugly, but you have to be pretty superficial to let yourself be distracted from what's a fantastic game. Can't wait for the next one. And who knows, maybe they'll even patch the character models in the mean time :)

    This game is very very good. It's certainly not perfect but as a game it's a solid 8/8.5. Yeah the cutscene graphics are a bit ropey but during gameplay it looks excellent. Im about 30 hours in and really enjoying it. Think the cast of squad mates etc is as strong as previous mass effects but they had 3 games to develop so give this crew a chance. Replacing shepherd was always goingThis game is very very good. It's certainly not perfect but as a game it's a solid 8/8.5.     Great game, some few face animations problems, but great universe, good tight mechanics.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Being one of the few people who review this and has actually COMPLETED the game's story, here's my thoughts.

    First, the negative: Bugs, glitches, and sometimes poor animations. Gamebreaking? Of course not, nobody in their right mind would give a game a 0 because of some bugs and animation issues. Remember Half Life 1? Buggy as **** but people praise it. The Witcher 3? Worst release ever, but people praise it. You get the picutre.

    I actually find the story to be pretty great. It starts off a bit slow, but picks up after a while. The ending was satisfying, and left me with a pretty epic feeling. Even after you're done with the main story, there's so much to do - having only around 60% completion at the moment. Doing the crew's side quests also gives a lot of nice sidestory.

    Gameplay is awesome, and the amount of choices you have to change your character on the go is breathtaking. You can play as a charging-melee-maniac Vanguard, or you can be a "wizard" with Biotics, so many choices it's astounding. By far the best gameplay of all the ME series.

    Either way, the amount of reviewers here who has only played the trail is laughable. It's rather obvious most of the negative reviewers hasn't even played through half of the story. They read on the internet that it's bad, and joined the bandwagon because they're sheep, without the ability to have an opinion for themselves. It's pathetic, and doesn't do the game justice.

    As of right now, there are quite a number of you who are just silly. Is this game perfect? No. Not many games are. However, any person who has played a Mass Effect game in the past and enjoyed it, will absolutely love this game. I would give it an 8-9 score based on the gameplay and exploration.     The music's pretty good too. The moment I turned the game on and heard the music for the title screen, I loved it.

    Based on the reviews I've seen, most of the negative reviews come from people who probably didn't even play the game and just hate EA because it's the popular thing to do. A few even criticized Bioware's inclusive policy more than the game itself, which is a useless critique.

    To anyone taking the time to read this, try the game out for your self. If the bugs worry you, give it some time, because Bioware will patch those out and make the game even better.

    Based on the bugs that the game shipped with, I would normally rate this game a 7 or 8 out of 10, and then increased my score once patches came out that fixed the problems. Thanks to the toxicity of the "fanbase," however, I'm giving it a 10 to help offset some of the BS reviews I've read on here.    … Expand

    I'm very confused? I'm about 6 hours into this game and have been enjoying the hell out of it, so I come on here to see what other people think and the user score is 3.8? I only gave it a 10 to try to add some balance to the score. Why are so many people giving it a 0?

    I'll never understand people.

    I only give 10s to games that I connect with emotionally and personally, games that engage me for hours leading to days to months, and this is one of them. A 10 in my book is not a perfect game but one which I truly enjoyed with no regrets.     Andromeda's strengths are it's characters, specifically Peebee, Drack, Cora, Suvi, Kallo and Sloane for me. They are so well written and fleshed out that I grew to know them as I progressed further into the game. My first impressions of them changed as I got to know them. I didn't like Drack and Peebee at first but by the end, they were with me all the way. This evolution of characters felt real and personal to me, like getting to know a friend.

    It also helped that the characters were with me on an epic exploration adventure. I completely loved Scott Ryder and the Initiative's mission to explore instead of conquer. Made me think about the colonization days of the age of Empires. What did it feel like to be an invader/colonizer/conqueror? What were the challenges involved in the name of science and exploration? What does it mean to be xenophobic? There were lots of themes in the game which were subtle and made me think about questions like these, and I found it absolutely refreshing. Of course there was the usual save the universe theme, but exploration is the name of the game.

    I wasn't affected much by the facial animations. Not the best, but it got the job done. World building and landscapes were gorgeous though. Didn't experience many bugs either.

    I loved the shooting mechanics!! I played on hardcore difficulty and boy was it intense! In my opinions, they nailed it. Haven't had as much fun with shooting since Destiny.

    What I didn't like were the trivial and numerous fetch quests which I gave up on and ignored after mid way through the game. Too many "go this there and then there and also there and why not there too and since ur at it go there again and THEN, you come back for the reward". However, the main missions, side quests and companion loyalty missions were a blast, especially after connecting with the characters. It really feels like a band of brothers, although I don't care for Liam and Jaal. Super annoying.

    I really hope Bioware reads this cos I have mad respect and love for their work. Don't abandon this franchise please!! I loved the Andromeda story, characters and setting. Nothing's perfect and there's always things to improve but count me in the preorder line for the next Mass Effect title.    … Expand

    So far i have put upwards of 100 hours into this game, and am not bored of it yet. I was initially very skeptical of this game after seeing the early reviews and the widely negative reaction by the internet dude bro hive mind, however being a logical skeptic i chose not to trust the groupthink of the masses and actually play the game. though the game does have a bit of a slow start, so didSo far i have put upwards of 100 hours into this game, and am not bored of it yet. The story telling has kind of taken a bit of a backseat in this entry in the franchise as bioware has decided to take a larger area approach to this game, much like with dragon age inquisition, however I still had plenty of gripping and engaging moments not only with the quests, but also with the breathtaking environments.

    A Lot of people have been complaining about the facial animations, and while sometimes they aren't perfect you don't really notice anything hugely wrong in real time. Most of the "llol wow dude this game is garbo" screenshots would be the same if you took screenshots of a real life video of someone's face when they are in an unfortunately weird position between movements. AKA real life has those same "animation problems." As far as the writing being bad, I wouldnt say its any better or worse than the rest of the mass effect franchise, the main story isn't the greatest thing as it feels so loose compared to other games, but honestly the focus of Andromeda seems to be more exploration and taming the wild unknowns of andromeda vs rolling through it like a book which is fine, and honestly a fresh face for the series.

    Lastly, a lot of the negative feedback on this game seems to be coming from the perspective of people who like to sling the "SJW cUck!" thing around, so if you are super scared of people who arent white hetero gender normative males then this isnt the game for you. However i really find these criticisms particularly weird because the mass effect franchise has been relatively diverse from the beginning, so these are obviously from people who haven't played the other games. Honestly, most of the negative reviews seem to be having that one thing in common, either they haven't played it and are just attacking it to be "hip," they never played the originals, or they just outright went into the game wanting to hate it.    … Expand

Lovingly crafted and significantly deeper than i'd anticipated. The series got dumbed down with each release and it's back to form. The player also no longer runs like he needs to poop. It's stellar.

    People are too critical of this game. It's a really fun Sci-Fi 3rd person shooter / RPG. I hated the combat at first because of the lack of a power wheel and time slowing down. After coming back to the game I really do like it and it deserves to be bought and played by anyone who loves sci-fi games.     This game is everything I was hoping for and more. I was a big fan of the original trilogy. I am also a fan of well made open world games. However, the biggest draw here for me is the science fiction setting. I love science fiction in all mediums and Mass Effect is the undisputed king of space opera in the world of video games.

    Bioware delivers once again on pulling you into an immersive science fiction adventure in a unique universe with a great cast of characters. Hitting the reset button really revives the series for me. Being able to ditch the old cast and move on to a new galaxy with new species is wonderful. The focus on exploration is extremely welcome to me as it was one of the biggest things that the original trilogy failed to deliver.

    The size of the hub worlds are wonderful compared to previous games. Your spaceship is an awesome area that lets you soak in the atmosphere of being in space. The Nexus, humanity's space station in Andromeda, is an expansive area that serves as this games Citadel, and it is also very cool to explore and larger than any of the old games Citadels.

    I love the combat now and the way the maps are designed with more verticality involved. The jump-jet makes exploration and movement much more free and exciting. There are so many different ways you could design a class build in this game, and I have the feeling I will be playing through many times and testing out those possibilities.

    The graphics are stellar, which makes some of the character animations look silly by comparison. That was quite true throughout the original trilogy as well though and I think the focus on that by gamers is silly. To be distracted from such a wonderously deep game with so much going for it by some crappy animations here and there, is just a waste.

    If you are willing to let this game pull you in and tell you its story, it will blow you away. If you are going in as a skeptic who doesn't really have time to play it anyway and just wants some **** to feel superior about, do us all a favor and move on to trolling the next thing you want to try and suck the joy out of.    … Expand

    Nice game, rate 10 only because of bad score. Game is 7/10 If you like DAI it is your game, animation is not that bad. A lot of side quests that is not very interesting but main story is interesting for fans of MASS EFFECT,not fans of Shepard but fans of mass effect univers.

    Not a single glitch found, amazing atmosphere, sound, climate. Each planet is unique! Nice graphics, more paced combat (which is very nice and fluid). Amazing cover system, really usefull.
    Also, unique game in current gen. There is nothing like it on market.

    At moments the game tends to feel a bit 'last gen' but for me that's not a problem because I still love the 'last gen' consoles. The most important thing that I would like to see fixed is the frame rate.     mass effect Andromeda a great game. astonishing planet landscapes, interesting side quests, missions, basically everything`s a great about this game. i love mass effect trilogy, but this is a new mass effect, it has nothing to do with previous mass effect. i can only say that i`ve spent already more than 20 hours in game and i`m happy, that i bought this game.

    Really enjoyed the game. Finished it two times in a row even at insanity level for the trophies. If you like open world games with lots of stuff to do side quests exploring upgrading character lots of customization even romances give that game a chance and buy it you won't regret it. Also I must report the incredible multiplayer which never gets boring and lots of players who still playingReally enjoyed the game. The big funny thing is that everything is flawless except the FX effects. They are a little bit clumsy. Everybody gripe about things which are flawless, but nobody does it about the effects. But they are still ok.

    This game is fun, craft items, big freedom of choices when leveling your character, a lot of stuff to do.

    If you think, the graphic is bad, open your eyes.
    If you think, animations are bad, look at your own clumsy walk cycle.
    If you think, there are glitches, dont run against the wall constantly.
    If you think, this game deserves 0 score, learn to develop games and make it better or play your 8-bit Pixel games and rate them to heaven.

    However the game has its flaws aswell. The face animations are pretty bad. After a few hours it didnt realy bother me anymore, but it has to be said. The story is interesting and very different. I like to compare it to a more anime like story where the characters are funny and cool, sometimes in an exaggerated but funny matter. Of course there are also plenty of serious moments in the game.

    The game is great and a lot of fun. It is not perfect but it is a solid 8 out of 10. The 10 rating is supposed to counter the clownes who gave 0-4. Most haters just dont like Biowares political opinion. Dont miss out on such a great game.    … Expand

The multiplayer alone was worth it, and I held single player off because I feared the worst. The first few hours weren't exactly awe inspiring but it was entertaining enough. We demand more content, open spaces / worlds, multiplayer, high-end graphics, and expect it all to run at a smooth 60fps. Sure you'll get a gem from time to time, but I wouldn't say it's the norm. Every major software has bugs and is addressed via fixes in subsequent releases. Not sure why the video game industry is viewed so differently. I've been a huge fan of this series and I'm enjoying myself so far and I keep wanting to play more.     Best game of 2017 for me so far. Very beautiful graphic, so nice and different locations, great new fight system make fun. After main story there are lot of another missions u can do. And in this missions you will be surprised by things which you did not seen in main story, so its worth to do them.

    As a mass effect game, it might be the worst in the series but as a stand alone PS4 game it's a pretty solid one. A lot of improvements from the previous ones in terms of explorations. However, the dialogue choices can be annoying when the summary doesn't end up being what you intended.

    The game pays a lot of homage to Mass Effect 1, the first game in the Original trilogy and you can feel that this is still a Mass Effect game, even without our beloved Commander Shepard. It's a great game on its own, it has its issues but in the long run its nothing that takes away from the overall experience, which is a good experience.

    The combat gameplay is what really shines through, the fluid animations here are great and presents very enjoyable fights against foes. I also like how they've made it possible for the players to form their own kind of classes by mixing powers, it invites you to try new and different things out and that in turn leads to replayability value. The Multiplayer is pretty fun, but not much has changed from ME3. It's like a very improved version of the mp that we had in ME3, and with the new combat gameplay it's a whole lot more fun. The new mobility invites for new types of combat aswell.

    If you love sci-fi then you will enjoy this game, BioWare may not know how to animate faces properly, but they do know how to build immersive and interesting worlds. Epic game that I'd give 8/10, but since I've seen firsthand the kind of undeserved hate it is getting because it's somehow popular now to hate on BioWare and ME, I will give it a 10.     I've not played the original Mass Effect trilogy so cannot compare this game with that. However from what I've played, I have been very impressed and found it thoroughly enjoyable, albeit having to learn new game mechanics. Also the graphics are superb and the storyline is engaging. I like the fact also that this game can be played in a linear fashion (of sorts).

Its maybe 10 modifiers some for gun play, some for defense, some for melee, some for biotic powers, etc. Animations weren't omg awful to me, and i doubt they would be to most ppl it someone had pointed it out and halfway died over it lol. They're not that great but neither is a lot of games graphics in our generation n terms of facial expression so yeah. Multiplayer is fun and could be really un with a group of friends, you lvl up a specific character with locked in powers and modifiers but you can unlock new characters and anyone can use any gun so I had a god time with it so far. P.s looking at scores on metacritic by users and even by the critics sometimes will send you totally off lol. Blood borne got a 9 on here by both but that game seems like it was made for ps2 if you ask me. I would picked this over that 1000 times. And BB was my first dark souls esk game and this is my first ME game so yeah. My advice watch some youtube videos and try not to make a decision soley on critic and user reviews.     This game is outstanding! Best combat in ME series to date, probably the best starting to a game in the series along with mass effect 2. The story is really good, characters and squad all just....feel right. It feels 100% like mass effect, any fan of the series will love this game.

    The only negatives are the eyes and some weird facial expressions here and there but, its mass effect. isnt that expected at this point? lol but i have almost 20 hours of time in and havent encountered ONE bug. Im telling you, most of the reviews are non sense.

    A game that is once again hit with the bandwagon of people who hate on a game because everyone else is. COD suffered from this last year. The game is truly mesmerising and outstanding. Played 10hrs+ and have had zero animation glitches. 9.5/10 from me. Truly a masterpiece.

    I loved it! Yeah it has its bugs but what game doesn't . Personally it was enjoyable and a new character that I am growing with together. I am so happy that the mass affect universe is still going on strong. I can't wait for the sequels

It didn't seem to have the same urgency or weight as the OT, but I didn't really expect it to. We're not fighting Reapers again in this game. As well, I thought the beginning part of the game was rather slow, with the first two companions you receive not being fleshed out as well as they could've been. However, as the game went on I did enjoy it more.

Bioware have repeatedly said that they work with these technologies in the first races before everything was different according to this, they can forgive it, but in general the game was like.     In reference to the animations - the alien animations looks stellar, I think there might be a little uncanny valley going on with the humans - aside from stilted animations and some glitches that have been meme'd already, it's not that bad. Similar to DA:I and other bioware games, in my opinion.

    The graphics actually look very, very good - especially on PC. I recently finished DA:I and I feel like they learned their lessons in some regards with this game, I actually care about learning more about the planets I land on. I care about the side quests FAR more than I did in DA:I.

    I've wanted, for 5 years now - a game that lets me explore with my Turian, Asari, Krogan and Salarian buddy's. I'm a little disappointed that they don't have Qarians out of the gate, but maybe later - or DLC. However, this game has given me what I wanted. It delivered the promise to me, anyways. Its actually FAR more similar to 1 than 2 and 3 of the original trilogy - which is welcome.

    While it's not the god game of the century that people thought it would be, it's a solid entry in the series and I look forward to more adventures in this new galaxy. I would give it an honest 9/10, but because there are people on here giving is 0's for no logical reason (seriously, have you even played the game?) I will give this game a 10 from me, which I don't do very often, in fact - I rarely review games on public forums - but this game deserves my support.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. nybody reading the user "reviews" here need to keep one thing in mind, the "alt-right" has decided to run a vehement anti Bioware campaign against this game. They have decided that this game, but Bioware in particular, are anti "white" and part of that "liberal agenda" that they are so paranoid about .- you can find direct evidence of this scattered throughout the reviews but is more evident on their own websites. And as always on the internet, the dumb and the stupid, often very young and often who have not played the game, take up the call without understanding what is going on and repeat the same nonsense. This is sadly the internet of the 21st century where everyone can say anything with anonymity and without personal repercussion.

    The game itself is not that bad at all. No it's not as "epic" as the original trilogy and the writing is not as "tight" but it is better than DA O - far better. In many ways, the gameplay itself is better than the original ME - certainly, the character "classes" are far more fluid and you have far more control over them. It also looks much better than people are saying - although it does seem to use far too many of the same assets as DO O. Although, this might be due to using the same engine and the limitations of said engine.

    Anyway, overall, a game worth your attention. Just don't allow your perceptions of it to be shaped by a bunch of right wing hicks and give it ago.    … Expand

    Really doesn't deserve all the hate its getting. There have been way worse games this generation, and I think people always hype up expectations that aren't possible to achieve. I went into it with no thoughts other than I was going to be playing a new Mass Effect game, and so far after 20 hours i still REALLY enjoy it. Reminds me of KOTOR and Jade Empire. Now, do I think this game is a 10? No, I don't. But I Had to give it a high score to counterbalance the insane 1 and 2 ratings this is receiving. Especially because I know these people still have Infinite Warfare and No Mans Sky in their game collection. In reality i think its about an 8.5. Lastly, if you enjoyed Dragon Age: Inquisition then you'll like this game, don't listen to all the hate, and play it with an open mind.… Expand

    I think its funny how people rate 0 and 1, so pretty much saying games like resident evil umbrella corps is better, they obviously don't know anything about rating a game, this game is not unplayable and isn't so glitchy that you are unable to progress, those are the games that truly deserve such a low score.

    People seem to have taken all the hype about the animations and blown it out of the water, as if the game is now unplayble, while they are annoying in many cases, humans especially they aren't game breaking, the devs know and have said that it is in their plans to fix them, which in all reality means you can wait alittle bit before getting. The game has a decent story, its nothing oscar worthy, but still enjoyable if you liked the universe that the other mass effects were in. Its refreshing to see some new faces and to see where they will go from this game. The aliens species look great, its mostly the humans animations that need the work, because on many occassions it looks like your character is starstruck or dumbfounded by the conversation but this game is better than most "supposed" bad games,

    My advice is stick with the critic reviews, but seems that most of the real user reviews are drowned out by those still salty about the ME3 endings, feminists or like the one guy who claimed he played 50+ hours when the game only allowed 10hrs early access and less then 24 hrs after the release of the game. The bad reviews are quite hilarious so i won't stop you to read them, some good ones in the mix, but most are just laughable, but enjoy, good luck to you!    … Expand

    Someone mentioned the main story only taking 15 hours, well ive played about 16 hours striaight, i couldnt stop playing it was so captivating, only a few games have pulled me in like that. And im no where close to done the main story. Im so excited to play more of it this evening.

    The people are calling this garbage and a cash grab are most likely the same people that are still bitter over the ME3 ending, time to get over yourselves. And if you wanna nitpick at small flaws, look Witcher 3 had some bugs. It happens in gaming. We are not yet at a point where massive sandbox games that are delivered will not have any graphic flaws or bugs.

    Its funny how there were over 100 negativd reviews yesterday, the release day. I say some 0/10s a couple hours after release. Those are the people not giving this beautiful a fair chance. For people that are unsure about this game, dont listen to people on this site. Go look up reviews elsewhere.     I already completed this game twice and i give it a 9.5/10 the only bad things that i found in this game are some bugs, facial expressions and some secondary missions are kinda boring but other than that, the game is great one of the best i've ever played and i don't know why all the hate on this game.

    An update to my last review. After playing this game for almost 15 hours, i can easily say that this is one of the best games i have played in my life. I've been a big Mass Effect fan from a first part, and Andromeda takes a second place right after Mass Effect 2. Yes, there are problems with animations, but story and immersion are actually really great. Planets looks awesome, andAn update to my last review. Regarding the actual game the combat is a huge improvement over previous mass effect games, its actually fun, you don't have to stay behind cover all the time, you can actually move around tactically and use all kind of cool abilities to deal with your enemy. The story is alright, so are the characters. Many people complain that the females look ugly, in my opinion they look alright. If you only care about looks you should stick to playing barby instead. Although, the facial animations are quite poor and sometimes even worse than previous games.… Expand

    I don't know what people are complaining about this game is tons of fun! keep in mind i didn't enjoy mass effect 3 too much because of the clunky movement but this is way more open.

    You actually feel like your trying to colonize new worlds. The exploration is rewarded and doesn't remove you from the experience like it did in the previous games (there's never a justifiable reason to go mining when the Reapers are destroying worlds). The character interactions are real, not always polished, but neither is life. There's more humor, more awkwardness, more stuttering, and less incessant heroism, but that all goes together to make a more meaningful galaxy.

    There are 4 different difficulties to suit your style. There is a multiplayer that follows closely on Mass Effect 3. There is a condensed ship with no loading screens between levels. There is a great deal of quality of life improvements from start to finish.

    The only down side (and I struggle to call it that, because I didn't even notice until it was brought up by others) is the animations of some human characters and the apparent lack of diversity in the character customization. Since I use the default on Mass Effect games, I haven't realized the latter claim (which is true, there's not enough options in customizing your own Ryder), but the animations aren't gripping and terrible. In fact, unless that's your number one focus in a game (and for some it is), you'll probably barely notice. I don't.    … Expand

    - lots of interesting conversations and interactions - with companions (especially!) and other NPCs;
    - romances with thrilling story beyond the Tempest ;з
    - beautiful landscapes, beautiful design;
    - Nomad can climb everywhere. No ****
    - Tempest is magnificent. Those views... The crew isn't stuck in one room, no more loadings;
    - jetpack is just PERFECT;
    - dynamic fights, never getting bored;
    - attention to the details is really incredible;
    - easter eggs!;

    and what is the most important - I feel that is Mass Effect game. At some episodes I've even been forgetting that I'm playing not as Shepard, but as Ryder.

    Positives: Fantastic fast paced combat with awesome environments. The characters seem to gel, and the story is really a great new take on the Mass Effect lore. There is so much to discover here, with such a balanced and detailed experience. Good side quests are back as well. I could complain about lame fetch quests that appear, but every RPG has those, even the Witcher 3.

    Negatives: I miss the power wheel, and I hate that the weapon wheel is mapped to the centre button on PS4. I also wish you could select the specific powers your squadmates use in combat, as of now, you can only direct them to specific locations, not their actions. The dialogue delivery from supporting characters is not as well done as the original trilogy and some characters have a dead stare in their eyes. Inquisition like conversation wheel is not as enjoyable as Paragon/Renegade, but this grows on you to be fair.

    If you are an RPG fan, and especially a story driven third person combat fan, you should purchase this game. If you are a Mass Effect especially, I don't personally see how you could miss this title. If you have never played Mass Effect or are not a big fan of the above, you should wait for a sale, because you will likely not have the patience for any of the story development.    … Expand

    I am absolutely loving this game. There is a very nice balance between combat, exploration, and role-playing/conversations. I am taking it slow, appreciating every detail, and I absolutely get immersed in it. 10/10

    I think most of the people complaining about this game didn't like Mass Effect in the first place. I loved Mass Effect 1 - 3 and Andromeda has met and exceeded every expectation I put on it. The story is amazing. The gun-play is amazing. There isn't anything wrong with this game. It feels open-world and I'm giving it a 10 before I even checked out the multiplayer.     A new step into a new galaxy where you must discover everything on each planet, and this is just a small part of the game. The mood is the same of the first trilogy and some landscapes are astonishing. The plot is quite interesting but, as in the 1st chapter, side quests are the best part, especially playing the quest of your crew.

    This game is perfect, I think it can be one of the best game thin year.
    I don't know why people do not like a game because of their graphics, you can spend a lot of hour playing this game because its gameplay is perfect.

    This game is simply amazing. It's Mass Effect through and through and i love it! Characters, worlds, everything fits. And Ryder is funny character (if you want him to be -)). I'm not sure, what is the problem that many people see on this game, probably just theirs minds. Stop talking, start fighting for a new home.

    Seeing all this zeroes in the reviews i was afraid to play, thought the game is terrible. But actually it's pretty good after 30 hours of play. Though the game doesn't deserve 10, i give that number anyway. A lot of people give 0 and the game doesn't deserve it either.

    Just continue playing venture into systems follow the story fight for colonies discover secrets etc etc...game is not bad guys actually its great..surely It would be much better if it had some strong characters and better facial animations but it still worth it. Actually it does have great characters (cant name them but you will see soo many laughing moments).

    Combat system is way much better than old Mass Effect titles and your enemies are god damm smart so you cant just cover in one place and fight you should jump change directions flank the enemy etc.

    Also exploring with your vehicle is good dam fun especially in some planets...

    For those who want to avoid bad facial animations as I said dont use female characters male characters dont have that problem...    … Expand

    Me parece totalmente injusto lo que se le está haciendo a un juego de este calibre, que tiene muchos fallos y posiblemente en un mes estén solucionados y 100% perfecto. No me creo que con 10 horas de juego las primeras semanas, haya habido 1000 valoraciones con 3,5. Le doy un 10, porque sí, como la gente le da un 0 porque también.

    This game is super fun, it is beautiful and the characters are lovable and interesting!! It makes me want to complete every quest and try every route. After all the bad critiques I was expecting something terrible and I was surprised at how good it is, it makes me think that most of the angry people are just nostalgic for the first 3 games haha there is so much dialogue and so much to do IThis game is super fun, it is beautiful and the characters are lovable and interesting!! They are now hating that the world is more open than in the sequels. I'm so satisfied with the game that I can't think about anything else. They combined the true sci-fi feel and great combat from sequels to one amazing game!

    The animations are quite funny but it's Mass Effect for fu*ks sake! Funny shepard animation bugs were a huge memes! I'm playing on ultra and I only got stucked between crates once. Not a single walk/run animation bug ever, no dissapearing NPCs etc. Characters are great. They have a young feel and legit reasons to travel so far away. Peebee is funny, clever ADHD asari which is kinda cute. Hating this game because its trying to be SJW? Well guess what. The game is set in future which means that if humanity does not consume itself and everything will be nice and utopistic this is what modern culture and society will look like, well minus the aliens. Mass Effect was always trying to look like reality. That this could actually happen. Unlike Star Wars which just is (or was) Mass Effect was always trying to be sciency and had explanation about everything.

    There is a lot of hate for the first mission. Well I get it. Everything happend so fast and the amount of information is quite overwhelming to a newcomer but a player familiar with Mass Effect it should be just fine. To be honest, first mission in Mass Effect 1, tha infamous Eden Prime is really similar. You are attacked by mindless husks created by spikes that impales human? Dont tell me that the first time you played Mass Effect it was not overwhelming. I spent countless hours reading the codex. A lot of information is still in a Codex which is a trademark for Mass Effect games. Everything is nicely writen and only thing I miss is that the Codex isn't dubbed. That voice was just amazing!

    The longer you play the game gets better and better. Scaning is amazing and I just love to explore and read all new information. Its funny to bash this aspect of the game because in Witcher you are using your Witcher senses for everything. You could think that you should use your witcher senses to wipe your witcher arse.. Don't get me wrong, Witcher 3 was and is amazing. One of the best, but it was bugged as well and it did not get this amount of hate. If the wticher was made by EA the situation would be same belive me.

    Combat system is so much fun and the multiplayer got more exciting! Cover system works well and jump jet is really cool. Multiplayer matches got shorter which is good. Those last 3 waves in Mass Effect 3 were just too much. Multiplayer is also harder. In the first match I got rekt on bronze. You cant no longer just hold your ground. Which is good and bad. Well you still kinda can but its much much harder to do it. You need to move around or you are ****

    All and all this game is one of the best sci-fi games and a great start for a trilogy. Don't listen to the bashing reviews and make your own statement. And finally end the bashing hate train. If you could not get over Mass Effect 3 (which in extended cut was really good, end to an era of Shepard) ending than perhaps you should move with your life. Hating the game over its animation or just bacuse its SJW, more like first game or that our lovely characters got left behing is so **** stupid. Get your **** together virgins!    … Expand

    I could use many words to define Mass Effect Andromeda, but I can summarize it in: Simply Mass Effect. Thanks Bioware for coming back to become a star of a space opera.
    The animations are not good, but that can not cover that we are facing a very good game. This is Mass Effect and breathes from the first to the last moment. Perfect 10/10

I was so proud of that upgrade, the app ran so smoothly, everything was in place. Then when it got in production, they said it's horrible, because some fields had different length. It made me feel like all my efforts were in vain. Not cool. I'm 20 hours in, I'm exploring like crazy and I know I barely scratched the surface (both figuratively and literally). Sure, the animations are sometimes cringy and we all know the "My face is tired" line, but what's with all the hate y'all? Female Ryder has great voice acting and I'm enjoying her goofiness, I chuckled more than once. Party banter - I would just want more of it!! Sure, not all the companions are equally interesting, but that was the case in the previous series as well. Do you guys remember Jacob from ME2? No? Barely? Thought so. You can't expect to care for new chars the same you cared for chars whose story arc extended over a whole trilogy. The story so far is top of the notch mysterious, I can't wait to know more about the remnants and their uber-tech.
    Everyone's saying Witcher 3 blah blah, but it appears no one remembers that Witcher had its own fetch quests "Bring me some verbane" type. Game is good, characters are solid, I would give it a super deserved 9. But I'm giving 10 to help with the scores cause 4.6 is just not fair. Will come back to this after I've finished the whole game. Now go play and stop hating on something only cause you think it's cool to do so.    … Expand

    Mass Effect: Andromeda is an absolute 10/10 because they decided to give a very large budget to people woefully inept at creating games, they gave these new game creators a shot at fame! How nice is that from EA?
    If you look past the immense glitches and the bizarre 1990s-esque cartoon facial animations, you can see that at its core it was a beautiful game meant for those who loved Mass    Mass Effect: Andromeda is an absolute 10/10 because they decided to give a very large budget to people woefully inept at creating games, they gave these new game creators a shot at fame!     Yes, the game is having it minuses, but is still the same ME game that I like.
    It has some elements of DAI, but that is also not bad for the game and just adds some possibilities and not limitations.
    But to start my NG+ I'd be waiting some major patches to be released

    Прочитать отзывы последовавших стадному инстинкту игроков и не купить - значит лишить себя удовольствия аналогичного "Ведьмак: Дикая Охота", разработчиков - денег за великолепно проделанную работу и игру, а коммьюнити - перспектив на качественную следующую часть.

    В качестве эпилога: в игре уйма контента - она не следует отвратительной тенденции распиливания готового продукта на десятки DLC, А учитывая удивительную стабильность (сыграно 44 часа) - игра и вовсе уникальное для ААА явление.     My honest score would be an 8.5, but the amount of hate people are giving this game without giving it an honest try is going to deter people who may actually love it. Launch day user reviews for a 100+ hour game simply cannot be accurate.     I've played about 40 hours of this game now, and I'm addicted! The worlds get more impressive as you go and the environment art is stellar. Yes, the facial animations seem jarring at first, but I haven't noticed them in about 20 hours now. I've been too preoccupied jump-jetting around massive worlds, picking off baddies with the impressive (and deep) combat system, and gliding on ice in the Nomad. This game isn't without bugs, but it's nothing we haven't all seen in other games. And many will be patched in the coming months, hence my advice to wait before buying. I'm not a very sentimental person, but there was a moment I was wandering around the Nexus (Citadel 2.0) after completing a story mission, and I nearly teared up at the overwhelming feeling that I was back in the Mass Effect universe. They catch that unique vibe that made the original games so great, you just have to endure a few hours of rushed dialogue and exposition first. But the good stuff is in there, I promise! You will find the space hamster again if you look hard enough!

    The multiplayer is very similar to ME3, but if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I've loved using the APEX HQ app at work, and returning to the game at night to a bundle of goodies waiting in campaign mode.    … Expand

    It might be the biggest, most complex and action packed game in the franchise, but Mass Effect: Andromeda is also the least convincing one. The dated facial animations, the inconsistent writing quality and the regularly occurring bugs take you out of the experience too often. On top of that, BioWare has not used the concept of a whole new universe to its full potential, which often makes it feel like Mass Effect: Andromeda has not left our Milky Way at all.

    While it’s underwhelming in places, there’s a lot to like as you venture into the weirder parts of Andromeda. Frequent technical issues hamper the experience a bit, as does an uninspiring main story. [June 2017, p66]
