Oct 25, 2018As the first piece of DLC for Marvel's Spider-Man, The Heist offers a few exciting story missions and some very cool extras. That being said, it's very short-lived and the fact that it ends on a cliffhanger is sure to annoy many fans.
-
Oct 24, 2018A sort of little spin-off with a great Black Cat character and a list of activities similar to secondary mission, fun but not particularly original.
-
Oct 26, 2018The Heist is a disappointing DLC for a superb game. While people might be interested in Black Cat character, at the end they would probably gonna feel that $10 dollars for this is not worth it.
-
Oct 24, 2018More than anything, The Heist leaves you begging for more, and I guess that’s what the idea was. It’s just enough more Spider-Man to get you back into the swing of things, but it leaves you hanging with an abrupt ending and minimal new side content. But at only $10, it’s worth it to get back into Insomniac’s lovingly created New York.
-
Oct 24, 2018The Heist has us still hungry for more. The first Spider-Man DLC is a very short experience with a predictible ending, and despite the well-written Black Cat addition and some good ideas, it’s pretty disappointing.
-
Oct 23, 2018While The Heist has a strong story—or at least the start of one—it doesn’t fill out the world or give Peter any additional gameplay growth.
-
Oct 28, 2018The game equivalent of a fortune cookie after a filling meal, The Heist is simply more of the same in a bite-sized package. There are few new ideas here, and a weak ending and overly short experience should make fans wary.

Nov 1, 2018I loved the idea of pursuing Black Cat’s storyline, and while I don’t need much excuse to play more Spider-Man, I didn’t feel like this DLC offered much in the way of excitement or variety. I felt this chapter was unimaginative in its features, and for $10 a pop, I didn’t feel compelled enough to want more. If you’ve platinumed the game and crave a few more hours of gameplay, The Heist does the job just fine. Just don’t expect a wildly stimulating plot or any radical new additions. It’s more of the same, and for some, that’s okay.
-
Oct 25, 2018More of the same. All of the content feels recycled from a main game you're probably already burnt out on anyway. It doesn't help that the few new bits – suits and an enemy type – feel lazy and uninspired. The only reason to grab this DLC is for more of the story, which is as well done as ever, if a bit short – clocking in at around three hours max. If you're patient, grab it in a future sale just so you can see what happens next.

Oct 22, 2018The Heist is a fun little way to spend more time with the delightful gameplay, characters, and world of Marvel’s Spider-Man, but it certainly doesn’t feel like a complete, satisfying expansion on its own.
-
Oct 22, 2018The Heist is well worth your time, especially if the post-credits sequences in the main game have you counting the days until a potential Spider-Man 2.
-
Oct 30, 2018The Heist is a solid DLC that’s meant to serve up more Spider-Man goodness for fans that are craving a chance to slip back into a Spidey-suit. For what it is, it’s a great story that fleshes out old characters while adding some new flavors to the pot with a classic comic book character, but if you’re expecting The Heist to change up the formula at all you’re going to be a bit disappointed.
-
Oct 23, 2018The Heist is by no means essential but it marks a decent start to what could be another intriguing Spider-Man story. However, it’s already clear that these post-launch adventures will only extend, not enhance, your overall experience with the original game.
-
Oct 23, 2018Insomniac’s first DLC outing for Marvel’s Spider-Man proves to be a worthy one. While it doesn’t try to reinvent the wheel, it adds more activities for players to dive into and features a fully fleshed out story with some pretty memorable characters. The best thing The Heist has going for it is that it gets to build on top of the spectacular foundation laid with the original game.
-
Oct 23, 2018As a continuation of Marvel's Spider-Man for PlayStation 4, The Heist is okay. The Black Cat is the focus, as the rest is remixed mission and challenge types, and three new costumes...If you're in too deep with Spider-Man, it's worth picking up, but I do wish The Heist was a bit meatier overall. If my speculation is right, the later DLC releases will build upon what's found here, offering a satisfying expansion once all three updates are out.
