How does everyone have the newest player that dropped 15 minutes ago fully powered up? Not one or two people. But everyone? And franchise hasn't been touched in years. How do you have less features in a 2021 video game than the same title 20 years ago? I've bought madden since the very first one on Sega. Not anymore. Done with ea. Its like being a raider fan. So hopeful in the beginning of the year, only to have your dreams crushed. Its saddening. How can you add two new game modes and not even touch a game mode that's been in there since the beginning. I know why, because there's no microtransactions in franchise mode. They want you to spend $60 in hopes of you spending more money on microtransactions . They are capitalizing on the fact that no one else has the licensing to use the NFL and its players. We need competition. Competition pushes for better product. I'm sure there are people that like the yard and Superstar k o, more power to you. But that's not what I wanted. I can't be the only one that feels the same way. The graphics are excellent. But there are too many animations there needs to be some type of physics to the game. How do you have a 26 year old game and still can't throw a correct fade route. The game seems like copy and paste, which is sloppy and a waste of talent from some of the Developers. I'm sure some of the employees are smart and gifted programmers and Developers, in my opinion I believe it's an issue on the corporate level. They need to stop looking at people as numbers. And this Clint Oldenburg Guy saying Two Is Better Than One. Is that what you told your quarterback when you let him get sacked twice. That's ridiculous… Expand

    The only good thing I can say about this worthless piece of crap is that EA has been so lazy for to many years now that I learned my lesson and rented this game before purchasing.

    Madden NFL 21 guaranteed numerous improvements and fixes to bugs and glitches. They did not come through with their assurances and just added new rosters to their old game. This causes Madden NFL 21 to be a total let down and an overall unsatisfactory and inadequate game.

    This game is so broken, and horrible. It's basically the same as the past 5. The franchise is so barebones that it's not even worth playing, and face of the franchise is the worst piece of scripted trash EA has ever made. Being forced to play on rookie until you get drafted, and your choices barely have any impact, so it's definitely not worth the 60 dollars they charge for this

    Absolutely horrible, does not look like a 2020 game, it legit has 2010 graphics. All of the great features that madden used to have are all stripped for a horrible singleplayer, and an abysmal multiplayer with the number of bugs and 0 effort put in to fix the game.

    Literally feels like the same exact game as the last 2 madden games. Franchise is a copy paste of last years tons of glitches and just feels like there was little effort put into developing this game. I paid $64 just to see everyone on twitter getting free copies. Just all around a huge disappointment.

    EA continues to ruin sports games with 1) ultimate team card collections essentially being scratch tickets in video game mode 2) nonsensical pandering in the form of Colin Kaepernick being rated 81 overall based on nothing other than his political views. EA is using a very real and important movement to gain clicks and make money. It’s despicable and shameless.

Now they are pushing SJW garbage on the player by shoving Kaepernick into the game. Not only is he shoveled into FA but he's rocking a ridiculously high 81 for a player that hasn't played since 2016.     Please fix franchise mode...

    Use to get so excited to buy Madden every year in August. Have only bought it ever other year since Madden 17, and don’t even look forward to that anymore. I don’t play MUT, and if fans like that mode, that’s fine, but EA has the resources to make both at a very high end level.

Pretty much you’re paying $60 to play The Yard, unless you want to suffer through Franchise or the hilarious money grab in Ultimate Team. They don’t care and that’s why they’re also putting the game on game pass later this year. Pretty much you’re paying $60 to play The Yard, unless you want to suffer through Franchise or the hilarious money grab in Ultimate Team. They don’t care and that’s why they’re also putting the game on game pass later this year. Just stay away from the game so that a new competitor can make something half decent next season.… Expand

    Beyond disappointed with this Madden. The only positive is the yard. Other than that, the game is full of bugs and glitches that would make any player want to smash their controller.

    Absolute garbage! Cancel EA’s monopoly. I cannot believe this game has not changed in 4-5 years. No one cares that you add Colin kapernick, actually fix you bug riddled mess that you call a game. Not worth $60 dollars, not worth $10. Save your money & wait for 2k’s nfl game in 2021.

    On All Madden mode you aren't playing the other team, you're playing a corrupt game, a perfect throw to an open WR more times than not is either not caught, caught and then dropped at the slightest touch, or intercepted by a teleporting DB.

It speaks volumes to how they feel about us as consumers when they release this type of product yearly. We put NBA Live out of business because we stopped buying it.     Online play has been reduced to a bunch of kids that watch YouTube and try to exploit one offensive play and one defensive play. If you can shut down that one offensive play (generally Pats    Madden has failed to keep up with the times. Each year, the franchise puts out the same product and every year, EA expects you to pay another $70 for updated rosters and the same terrible game play.

    Online play has been reduced to a bunch of kids that watch YouTube and try to exploit one offensive play and one defensive play. If you can shut down that one offensive play (generally Pats Verts or a sweep), the kids will quit in the first quarter. There is literally no skill of any kind involved in this game. It literally becomes "can you stop the other guy's one offensive play?" While this makes it very easy to win games (via forfeit), it simply is no fun. Who cares if you are 50-25 for example when half of those wins were over in the first quarter?

    Madden Ultimate team also continues to gain complexity as EA tries to suck every dollar out of its customers through microtransactions. This only empowers the lower skilled players to use their one play and then invest in Tyreek Hill and some power ups to further exploit the game's inherent "gimmicks."

    Where to start?... hmmm... well the sound track is garbage, not one decent song on the sound track and no variety. The graphics look ok, when they don’t glitch out, which happens a lot. They once again did nothing to improve or update Franchise mode, and that alone is enough reason to hate on this game.     Madden NFL 21 is another blatant recycling of last year’s edition of the „simulation“ of the American football. Sadly, most of the modes remained the same. Gameplay received a few minor tweaks, and in the end it still persists as a cash grab not worth anybody’s time.

    For NFL diehards, there remains hundreds of gaming hours at your disposal in Madden 21. These same diehards – much like players of EA’s NHL and Sony’s The Show – will be left with the impression they’ve played this game before, however.
