    My opinion is pretty much what everybody else is saying. I grew up with the older Madden's like '08 and I could not be more disappointed with where the Madden franchise has gone. They gave up on their single player fan base. Ya know, the one that gave them so much success in the beginning! I'm done... done thinking "this is the year". I feel like a pre-2016 Cubs fan.

    Same thing as madden 18,19,20 etc. The devs know what we are constantly disappointed in the game and they joke about it. They have shown that they are incapable of making a decent football game. Just terminate the lease with the NFL and let 2k or another company make a nfl game. EA continues to show that they are the worst gaming publisher on the market.

    For the love of all that is holy and pure, EA needs to actually make a NEW GAME instead of just copying and pasting the previous one. It's SO obvious that they are simply copying the code and changing the players, that's basically it. The same issues are always present, meaning they are definitely copying the code and just making minor changes, any programmer or game developer can tell.     The fact that they continue to sell the same game for 60 bucks each and every year without improving anything significant on top of those atrocious microtransactions that literally everyone who doesn't have money hates just shows the greediness of the company selling this crap product.

    Here's an idea: How about we sell Star Wars with a few lines of dialogue changed each year and see if it makes money? On top of that, you have to pay an extra 5 bucks to see the lightsaber fight. Oooh, new CGI characters in the background? It's TOTALLY different!

    This is the EA Madden model. This is literally it.

    This game is bad. It’s been the same mess for years now. EA needs to take a year off to build a new engine and make it more physic based for the game. Presentation is horrible. Copy and paste from past years. NCAA football had better presentation and its 20 years old. There is technical issues and glitches all over the place.     This game is complete trash! Just another EA copy and paste year! Gameplay is horrible! Franchise mode has no substance to it! The yard is a very poor version of 2k’s park! Unfortunately the NFL only cares about dollars, cuz they obviously don’t care about quality of representing the league!

    EA you really just love to steal money from people don't you. Every single year all you do is put a new face on the cover of any sports title you come out with and just re-skin the game. I can have the same experience with Madden 18. Most of the features that have been requested by customers over the years WERE in the game at some point, but removed along the way, presumably to make way for Ultimate Team, their cash cow.

    Let's face it - this game is the epitome of what EA has been about for the past decade: an abhorrent lack of dedication to their product, complete disregard to their loyal customers (who are asking for the bare minimum from a AAA game and multi-billion dollar company), and a focus on microtransactions. I have no problem purchasing a game like NBA 2K despite their microtransactions, because frankly, the product 2K puts out each year is a million times more refined, with a MyLeague mode with unlimited customization, authentic gameplay with signature styles, and more. Yet - EA cannot even get face scans for a good portion of their players, instead dedicating their time and effort towards creating broken X-Factors that cater to the casual, arcade-y community while ignoring their older, franchise community.    … Expand

    It’s time to move on. I refuse to buy another Madden until that entire dev team (especially Oldenburg) have gone.     The absolute refusal to harbor community requests along with the horrific animation dominant gameplay, the countless bugs, the neglect on franchise mode, the countless copy and paste throughout. My effort to remedy over the years for this EA product has become beyond tireless. Here’s to an overwhelming success for a non-simulation and success with 2k or whomever else!!

Even not expecting much I was disappointed to have paid for what seems to be a glitchy and faulty incomplete rerelease of Madden 20. I love football and have purchased Madden every year since 2002 on nintendo 64. This will be my last pre-order. From now on I will be waiting for reviews by people who are reliableWent into this with an open mind not expecting much due to the circumstances. Even not expecting much I was disappointed to have paid for what seems to be a glitchy and faulty incomplete rerelease of Madden 20. I love football and have purchased Madden every year since 2002 on nintendo 64. This will be my last pre-order. From now on I will be waiting for reviews by people who are reliable before I waste money on a game that has regressed seemingly yearly since coming to this gen console. Very disheartened by all the crashes and freezing and just plain out unplayable glitching of players. If franchise mode is going to be ignored atleast make a proper game where my friends and I can simulate actual football.     Seems like EA doesn’t even try no more. PS2 was easy better. Zones still don’t work. Pass rush is non existent. Can’t see previous player record online regs for years now. No option to play all madden online Regs. Franchise mode is trash. Cannot save depth charts. Adding The Yard, Supertar KO, and that story mode is a mistake. Those resources could’ve been went to Franchise, Online regs,Seems like EA doesn’t even try no more. PS2 was easy better. Zones still don’t work. Pass rush is non existent. Madden introduces new game modes and packs every year but the same flaws in the gameplay have existed for multiple years now.     Madden NFL 21 is another blatant recycling of last year’s edition of the „simulation“ of the American football. Sadly, most of the modes remained the same. Gameplay received a few minor tweaks, and in the end it still persists as a cash grab not worth anybody’s time.

    For NFL diehards, there remains hundreds of gaming hours at your disposal in Madden 21. These same diehards – much like players of EA’s NHL and Sony’s The Show – will be left with the impression they’ve played this game before, however.
