    This game is absolute trash. I was up 60-12 and they made one play on a pass and the announcer said they have been a lockdown D all game. FoF stops actual animation once you get to the league, have had field with no yard markers, my FoF player photo is well....off. This is the worst madden I’ve ever played and probably won’t buy any future versions.

    For the first time this season I considered not getting Madden. I was angry about getting no changes to franchise mode. I was angry about them adding new game modes when their current gameplay sucks, and the modes they currently have are worse that sports games from the early 2010s. Well, I am here to tell you that this game is truly a masterpiece of EAs complacency in the wake of the NFL giving them more years of exclusive rights. It belongs in a landfill, and heads should truly roll at EA for how embarrassing their game is. The real issue is that, because I love football, I still stupidly bought the game. Boredom from quarantine, and a love for football caused me to buy their game against my better judgement. I should have known not to trust them. The worst part is they think we are that stupid. They think we will keep buying their game even though it gets considerably worse. They cannot even get their game to be the same level of trash every year. How do you explain that? And you know what, I actually was as stupid as they thought. I bought the game for 60 bucks. Thank you EA for dragging me out of the darkness to realize just how mind-numbingly worthless and lazy your game really is. Never before have a I seen a new entry stay so close to the previous one, while actually LOWERING the quality of the experience as a whole. There are so, SO many ways they could have spiced up the experience but instead we're stuck with a game that is somehow less reactive and more frustrating than ever.

    And that's not to mention all the wasted potential beyond the stale gameplay. Football offers so many opportunities to create interesting stories on and off the field. Having seen all the amazing announcements entering this next generation of consoles... it just makes me angry thinking about the kind of experience these games could offer if only they had any remaining creative spark whatsoever.     Madden has regressed significantly the past 10 years. Developers made it WAY too animation dependent (Glitchy animations I might add). They're just LAZY. Not to mention, Clint Oldenburg and Ty Stover being jackasses to fans on social media (great look guys!). Horrible game and company.

Face of the franchise was poorly written, glitches through out the cut scenes, the whole last scene didn't have voices.     The game is becoming copy and paste year in year out, the last real great football game was NCAA 14 the way the players ran and how they looked, hit / Juke move animations were way better and not the exact same like the newer maddens, go back and make a game animation wise to NCAA 14 and add newer stuff we will all be happy...

    Madden has remained the same with the same glitches that it has every year. There is nothing special about this Madden; it only backs the fact that EA loves money, and not those who support their creations. Madden needs to be rebranded in the same way that COD was by activision. It's the same game same broken schemes that everybody runs that's what makes this franchise so pathetic.

    It's apparent the studio's attention was spent on figuring out how to monetize modes and systems more than ever. The game lacked any focus on providing the best gameplay and simulation of football, it's almost like an afterthought. However, to EA's credit they do provide a fastpass of sorts to skip the grind and get your customizable "moss" uniform you've been waiting years for...but at a fair price of $9.99. For the sake of clarity, when I referenced the "moss" uniform, I wasn't referring to a uniform inspired by arguably one of the best wide receivers to play the game, Randy Moss, but instead it was inspired by the non-vascular plants that typically form dense green clumps or mats, often in damp or shady locations. In short, this is a terrible attempt at making a simulation football game especially when you consider that the "Franchise" mode has seen very little changes, let alone improvements since the start of frostbite engine iterations. This trend of the studio forcing gambling and mobile game mechanics in order gain additional revenue streams seems lucrative for them but as a long time fan, the attempts to manipulate its user base to spend more has become acutely grating and blatantly disrespectful. Unfortunately, the majority of the user base is susceptible to these tactics and this paradigm will not change until they no longer hold the exclusivity license from the NFL, thus allowing competition, or government regulation is enacted that protects consumers from unfair, deceptive, or abusive acts and practices, an example is the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010 to reform financial practices. I hate that it would have to take a monumental change just for the slight chance that the gameplay from NCAA 2012 may come back in some form, whether it be Madden or not, and the chances of that happening is causing me existential dread. I'd happily part ways with my hard-earned money for that game but in the case of Madden 21, I'd recommend to hold on to yours and wait for Cyberpunk 2077.… Expand

    I regret pre-ordering this game the worst game I have played. They have taken features out and the game is full of glitches. The animation s are terrible the game hardly represents the game of football. Absolute disgrace I'm never buying a EA GAME EVER AGAIN

    This game is absolutely terrible!! No redeeming qualities at all. Worst Madden game to date. Face of the franchise QB1 stats are all 96 and above, scrambler archetype and I get rundown From behind for a loss by defensive lineman 9 out of 10. Just pure garbage.

    Then put your branching animation system(which WOULD work good if it wasn't sitting on top of a heaping pile of tricked up fake rules and a world where object collision doesn't really exist) on top of that. Then start building player AI and coach AI that have a concept of how to play the game and their position in it properly. And in this first, buggy half baked release of the complete rebuild of the entire franchise, you would have a game that's 10x more enjoyable to play than this Shareholder Slavery edition that is Madden NFL 21. And then you would start to experience a userbase that will finally start to believe you see us as anything more than cattle, that you absolutely HATE.    … Expand

While technology progress somehow EA manages to go backwards. For example look at the career mode! Now compare it to something from 10 years ago, less content, not exciting, and bland.     Whatever you do, don't waste your money on this game. If you want to play simulation football, you're playing the wrong title. If you want to play this, just go get Madden 20. Its the same thing with different rosters. Or Madden 19, 18, 17, 16 or 15.

    I knew it was literally the same game when I threw a fake punt in the first game I played to a wide open guy and he bobbled it for 5 seconds before dropping it. Like dude, please fix these annoying things and actually put effort into the game.

    This I literally a madden 20 update that you pay 60 Euro's for and resets all your progress,
    It's plagued by bugs, the Ai is some of the worst I've ever seen in a sports game, the monetization is like always pure and utter scamming, and even the developers don't give a **** anymore! My advice avoid this game like the plague it so clearly is!!

    Madden NFL 21 is another blatant recycling of last year’s edition of the „simulation“ of the American football. Sadly, most of the modes remained the same. Gameplay received a few minor tweaks, and in the end it still persists as a cash grab not worth anybody’s time.
