    Jogo riquíssimo no requisito história, o gráfico deixa um pouco a desejar, mas a história e o carismo dos personagens faz você se apegar no jogo de uma forma que não sei explicar. Sem dúvida é uns dos melhores jogo dessa geração.

    Honestly, I expected a boring teen drama with superpowers, but the story appeared to be quite mature and engaging. Sometimes it's a bit cheesy, but in the next scene you are shocked by it's seriousness. The plot is much better than most of Netflix series and may be inspiring, especially for younger players. I had fun collecting photos in this beautiful game.

    Al principio pensé que acabaría dejando de jugar, hasta que me enganché e incluso me he vuelto fan de este estudio. Precioso visualmente, los personajes y su historia. Es una maravilla de juego.

    One and done to say the least. Great for the first play through but after that, there’s practically no reason to replay it. If it had higher replay value I’d give it a solid 8 but alas I can’t. Still beats Before The Storm. Pass on that one.

    Simplesmente incrível! A Dontnod realmente sabe abordar temas delicados com muito cuidado e de ótima forma. A trilha sonora e direção de arte do jogo são impecáveis, a dublagem é magnífica e a história é fenomenal. Esse jogo mudou a minha vida e é o meu favorito de todos os tempos.

    This was probably the most unique choice-based game. This by far surpasses the story-telling of the tell-tale games. The ability to rewind time is amazing.

    Story / Character Development.: The two story aspects focusing on max's power and the relationships between max and the other characters as well as the murder mystery worked really well together. The finale episode felt really rushed but other than that I was really hooked from start to end.

    1. How can you call this a game when your choices do not effect the end game? The end comes down to two choices that your past actions don't effect at all. It's a well animated and voice acted drama that you click through- NOT a game.
    2. What's the lesson or moral in this game? Trick question, there isn't one.
    3. Why does max have time to read posters but not rewind time sooner to prevent child suicide?! Isn't that the point of her powers?
    4. This game give the player so little agency that it just should have been a movie.
    5. I'm glad I didn't pay full price for it

    I bought this game long ago, I download it 3 times but never able to play through the first 30 mutinies, Because I thought that it is impossible that a choose-driven game could succeed with a system you can regret your choice. But it does! And it became my favorite game ever!

    Maravilloso de principio a fin... Se disfruta cada segundo del juego y la decisión final es simplemente descorazonadora... Se empatiza con muchos de los personajes, sobre todo con Max y Chloe, pero también con Victoria o Kate.
    Buena jugabilidad y escenarios realmente vistosos.
    Muy buen juego.

    This game has broken me more than once (damn you dontnod!), the art design is stunning and the story is emotional, mysterious and will leave you gripped until the very end, but my favorite aspect of this game is the wonderful dynamic of its protagonists: Max & Chloe.

    Brilliant video game.

    Story is incredible with shocking plot twists.

    Good characters and character development, the game almost made me cry.
    Just a powerful game
    (I hated the fact that I had to wait a few months between each episodes though)

The game, with its several cringeworthy moments and overuse of outdated slang, ruined what could perhaps have been its best feature. The voice acting was good enough, and the in-game art was charming, but the animation could have been much better, in particular, the lip-syncing. In fairness though, I must acknowledge that the game was released in 2015, and judge it accordingly. In other areas than gameplay and animation, however, the game did well enough; the plot was interesting and its exploration into sensitive and serious themes, such as cyberbullying and suicide, was well executed. The fine storytelling, complemented with some beautiful music, made me emotionally engaged, despite the poorly written dialogue, and made my playthrough a decent experience overall. Taking into account how old the game is, it probably deserves a 7/10, but otherwise, if newly released, it would have gotten a 6/10. When compared to other, even older, interactive story games like Heavy Rain or The Walking Dead, this game is a bit of a disappointment.… Expand

When you're 17 and the whole world is against you in real life you truly need something that can help you and say "it's no matter who you're, there always will be somebody to understand and help".

    For now, LiS gives me this sweet and warm feeling of nostalgia that, I'm sure,    It's a 100% game for teenagers. When I've played it back in 2015 Life is Strange became like a friend to me. When you're 17 and the whole world is against you in real life you truly need something that can help you and say "it's no matter who you're, there always will be somebody to understand and help".

    For now, LiS gives me this sweet and warm feeling of nostalgia that, I'm sure, everybody loves.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Life Is Strange is a great game with interesting puzzles in its gameplay due to the time-rewind mechanic, accompanied with an emotional soundtrack.
    The characters are the focal point of the story and the animation quality emphasises the expressions and actions of the characters. Chloe and Max are wild and likeable people and them, along with Nathan and Mr Jefferson propel the intimate story further.
    The main feature of the game is the consequences in the choices you make, and while most don't affect the plot too much, I like that the ones that do are binary and converse. Speaking for myself, I tend to weave around choices when I'm given them so I can get the most value of what I've been presented, but Life Is Strange prevents that and forces you to pick one or the other and it encourages you to seriously think about what you want to do, and I like that aspect of the game.

    Life is strange is such a beautiful game, because it talks about loss/ grief/ going back and forth... and pictures it with the butterfly effect. Yes, it has a big flaw: the characters act too much like teenagers... that it becomes quite cringe. But the plot twists are good, the characters are endearing... and the final is very emotional.

I know the ending is controversial becuase it all comes down to one decision, but the whole game prepares you for that moment, and it feels like a very natural conclusion. The "sacrifice Chloe" ending was the only time I have ever cried because of a video game.… Expand

    A pretty good TellTale game...that wasn't made by TellTale. The mystery and storytelling are fairly good, laughably bad dialogue at times aside, and the time-rewind feature is a pretty neat addition to the "choose your own adventure" genre. The game never manages to do anything truly impressive or noteworthy but it's definitely a fun ride.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. One more time I play a game too long after it's release, therefore my view upon the game is biased.
    LiS feels a bit dated to me. There has been too many games on this genre in my life already, so some things here didn't age all that well. Even the 'way too hipster indie' feels kinda old. If I've played this in 2015 it would hit right in the feels.
    Another thing i can't help but feel a little mad about is the exact same thing I've felt when I first watched The Butterfly Effect with Ashton Kutcher. I know this kind of plot is almost always trying to send a message, like, every action causes an unexpected reaction, and stuff like that. But it's weird to me, that the one character who has the power to reverse time and try different things, are always the one who can't change a thing. It makes it feel like the one using the power is just dumb and can't make things right.
    Either that or it makes the plot feels like "destiny" or "meant to be" wich I can only see as incoherente when someone can literally change events by going back in time. Like, how come Chloe is always dying or getting serious injured when you go back in time? I know it's fantasy and all, but how can there be a power to rewind time, and also a pre destyined event? It just doesnt make sense to me.
    That's why I thought like screw it, I'm saving my best friend, in the end. Whatever. But then I though, well, if saving her on the first time, around the butterfly, literally caused the cyclone, me "allowing" the whole town to be crushed is pointless because this "Final Destination vibes", this destiny thing is catching up with Chloe in the next few days once again.
    Alright, I made it feel like the game is not good, wich is not the case. I loved playing it, I've even cried here and there with story. My rating just cannot be that high, at least playing it 5 years after it's release. Maybe if I rewind time?    … Expand

    Nice story. Game feels very immerse in some environments, especially when crowds are involved. Lip syncing almost non-existent. Limited freedom is allowed. Choices don't seem to have to long term consequences. Characters speak in a non-realistic, almost parodic "teen-swearing" style.

This game really put my fave character from Before the Storm through multiple ringers in this one. This time around in the Life is Strange series a young woman coming of age is gifted or cursed with a fantastical power.

    The graphics are reminiscent of Telltale games. The VA and music really added a lot of class to the experience. The gameplay is fairly simple and so the experiences ends up more character and story driven focus. It took sometime for the Mono Max character to grow on me. The overall story was interesting, but I liked Before the Storm more, because of it's down to earth realism. Well at least I know how far I would go in a computer game between love/friendship versus altruism towards a town.

    The polarizing limited choice at the end was kind of frustrating. If messing around with time was a cumulative effect that caused a major environmental disaster? Then why would the logic of making another time jump even be helpful? It wasn't even clear how time worked. So risking a persons life on hunch seemed very illogical.    … Expand

    After "The Last of Us", it's the most amazing thing I've ever played.
    If you want action from a game, this game is not for you, but if you are looking for a good story, "Life is Strange" is a good choice.

    Muitos jogos do gênero (Interactive Film) não conseguem ter um começo, meio e fim sem deixar o jogador cansado, com sono ou até mesmo bravo por tamanha enrolação. Mas em LIS (Life Is Strange) consegue ter tudo isso e ainda mais! A história de vázio de Max e Chloe você consegue sentir aquilo, consegue sentir o desprezo e acaba ficando triste com elas junto.

    O jogo todo lhe apresenta uma realidade que vivemos: Pessoas querendo passar por cima das outras, luxuria, brigas e exibições. Como explica em LIS, Max tinha se mudado há um tempo de Arcadia Bay e, também, nunca foi tão popular, então praticamente ela não tinha muito o que perder, certo? ERRADO!     Life Is Strange exceeded my expectations with great writing, interesting character work and a well realised setting. While i'm not sure how wayward things can go with the decision making (just one playthrough) I was very satisfied with the choices I made and the subsequent results shown.

    The art style while interesting can feel underwhelming at times which is a shame as I was genuinely moved at times when the facial animation (or lack of) really took things down a notch for me.. (it was a cross gen release I suppose). So at times I found myself wishing for a more 'Detroit BH' or 'Until Dawn' level of facial capture, but what is here serves its purpose well enough.

    Overall it is a great addition to the 'choice your own adventure' type genre and shows how far good writing and intelligent results can really elevate the experience of playing a game like this.    … Expand

    The cast is lovely (especially the two protagonists), the art of the game is enjoyable and for the most part the writing is solid and interesting. At the end of several episodes comes a scene that piques the curiosity of the player (stimulating trying to unravel the main mystery of the game) and as the game progresses there are good twists or memorable moments.

    While acknowledging the criticism that player decisions may not interfere at the end of the game, I think the story is good enough to overcome this problem and the characters are amazing. I also think there are more "boring" scenes, like the part where you need to find bottles in the junkyard. And lastly, I understand that one end is much less elaborate and privileged than the other.    … Expand

    Life is Strange is simply the best game I've ever had the opportunity to play, I don't know how I had the opportunity to play something so amazing, wonderful and beautiful. No wonder Life is Strange is the best game I've ever played in my life and I say that with pride.

    Presentation and atmosphere is beautiful like a piece of art. This is a great game.
    However, if you are older adult, it's hard to get into it... the story is about high school life. It's really awesome for teens though. I'm giving it an 8 because we need more games like this made out of love.

    Though I can imagine not everyone would be captivated by Life is Strange's story, it's unquestionably moving. Upon completing the game, I found myself lost in emotion for days. This is certainly one you have to play for yourself.

    You are Max, a young girl interested in photography, trying to live a normal life juggling between social life and good grades.
    Things change when "something happens", forcing Max to question her decisions in life, her moral code, herself.
    The game plays like a barebones Point and Click adventure, where, the interactions with People is the main feature: what you do and say can affect the outcome of the story.
    There is a twist: your actions can be "rewinded" thanks to a mysterious power that Max discovers.
    The power is linked to the relationship with the co-protagonist Chloe, a moral counterpart to Max.

    Going forward the "story" part will keep the player engaged and hooked up to the screen, unfortunately the gameplay is not always on par with the writing.

    Despite this, if you follow the story till the end, you will find a gem that will keep you invested in the story of Max and the citizens of Arcadia Bay.    … Expand

The developers of Life Is Strange have placed little value on gameplay. The focus was on the story. Don't buy Life Is Strange because of the gameplay. You won't expect anything special here. But due to the EXTREMELY good story I didn't deduct a single point in the rating.

    Wonderful piece of art. Beautiful visuals and story. The characters are relatable, perfectly written and acted. The story is deep and emotive, this game takes several real life issues like depression, bully, racism,drugs and manages to tie then all up in a perfect way. This game truly made me cry, I will never forget this game

Life is Strange was extremely close to becoming not only my favorite narrative based video game of all time, but also one of my favorite games of all time — until I played its ending. It is a game that should be one of the greatest of all time but instead falls short of its ambitious goal by the time the game is done. Elements of the game design appear to be a paradox while many others are just meant for show. The problem with Life is Strange is that the first 70% of the game is phenomenal while the remaining 30% is mediocre.

    A big complaint many have regarding the game is that it starts off slow. I find this to be an advantage. The game follows Max, a high school student at a boarding school, and the game starts off like your standard run of the mill coming of age story. Of course the twist with LiS that Max has the ability to time travel. Time travel is what makes this game so compelling. It allows you to see the immediate consequences of your actions, but not the long run consequences. You take a gamble with most actions as you consider how it could affect you in the future. The first chapter of the game, while it is slow, lets you get a feel for the game mechanics and characters — it serves as world building.

    Episode 2 is when the game really starts to hit hard. The stakes start to raise of Max and her best friend Chloe and obviously the chapter culminates with Kate’s attempt at suicide. It was at this moment that I knew LiS was going to be a different game. Dontnod decided to tackle a complicated issue and at the same time punished the player for not paying attention to Kate and investing in the game world earlier in the Chapter.

    Episodes 3 and 4 are both more or less filler. You begin to uncover the mystery of what the hell is going on in Arcadia Bay all while continuing to experience the excellent characters of the game. Episode 3 ends with the introduction of long range time travel via photographs and Episode 4’s start allows you to go down an alternate timeline. The beginning of Episode 4 when Max is given with the choice to euthanize Chloe makes the player care for Chloe as a character. Leading up to this moment, Chloe has been a bit of a jerk to Max and this is the first time that I finally appreciated Chloe.

    Now we get to the end of Episode 4 and Episode 5. It is revealed that one of the teachers at Blackwell Academy, Mark Jefferson, has been kidnapping and killing teenage girls. And here is the first sign that LiS was starting to fall off the tracks. I enjoyed that LiS had thus far been addressing topics that were previously considered taboo by video games. That was something that made me enjoy game more was its willingness to actual address real problems that modern society faces. I was confident that this whole Mark Jefferson reveal was going to directly tackle the extremely prevalent issue of sexual assault in the modern world. I was wrong. Instead it turns out that all he does is take photographs of them tied up and then kill them. His crimes are still atrocious, but it feels like Dontnod pulled a punch here to avoid addressing too controversial topics.

    The ending of the game is the biggest let down for me. The rest of chapter 5 plays out more like a puzzle/stealth game as you jump through time and try to figure out how to save Arcadia Bay. Then, rather than taking all of the choices that you have made during the past 10-15 hours and creating multiple endings for players to experience, Dontnod gives players a binary ending choice and the credits roll. One choice feels right and the other feels shoehorned in at the last second. My disappointment with Chapter 5 cannot be overstated. LiS had the potential to enter my top 5 games of all time, but fell short due to the terrible ending.

    The dialogue in this game is also atrocious. I played the game in English while the game was written by people who mostly speak French and as a result, a lot of slang is very outdated. Nevertheless, the characters themselves are like able enough to make up for it.

    Overall the game captivates the player with its fantastic world, interesting characters, novel mechanics, and promising narrative, but ultimately the game fails to deliver a satisfying conclusion to live up to the hype.    … Expand

    Of course focusing on the story means that the story has to be interesting and that is certainly the case with Life is Strange. Admittedly there are a few slightly dull scenes, such as the one that tasks you with wondering around a junkyard trying to find glass bottles, but I was hooked from the opening episode and couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen next. There are also some genuinely tough decisions to be made (the one in the final episode for example had me agonising over it for a good three or four minutes) which really help you feel as though you are part of the story and not just watching a semi-interactive movie.

    TellTale Games popularised the less puzzle driven point and click adventure but Life is Strange takes the crown as the best that the genre currently has to offer.    … Expand

    I really enjoyed my time with Life Is Strange. The story was compelling enough to keep me engaged throughout the five episodes. There were enough twists to keep it from being completely predictable and the plot takes a pretty dark turn toward the end that wasnt really expected. The choices made you really think about your decision and at first I put a lot of thought into decisions untilI really enjoyed my time with Life Is Strange. The rewind puzzle solving was a nice feature that kept things fresh. I would have scored this an 8 - but the last chapter, in my opinion, really fell apart and was all over the place. I think the addition of some out of place stealth scenarios and a very jarring story line left a me wishing they wouldnt have tried to change the formula up too much. In the end - for a game i spend $3.00 on i was not expecting much. It was a nice filler between action games. Would recommend.… Expand

    An honest, sometimes even painful, story about friendship and finding yourself. Life is Strange is played with a lump in the throat and its ability to make a grown man tear up is its true "power".

    The Limited Edition of Life is Strange doesn’t introduce anything new. The graphics are the same, as well as individual episodes that form this wonderful adventure. The art book and soundtrack are still a nice plus that could push some collectors to purchase this edition.
