This game is very you can do just about anything you want!

There are some problems with this game for example the missions can vary from amazing to terrible and the story isn't anything new or interesting. Aside from the bad stuff this is absolutely amazing you get to play around with so much stuff it's insane, the physics are really good, the grappling hook adds a lot to the game,

This is a great toy box of a game but it lacks in story and it's very repetitive.

I've sat and played this game for hours and hours, it is so incredibly addicting to play. Granted, the story is pretty uninteresting, and voice acting is.. meh.. but I love flying around and blowing stuff up. I love the cars, I love the jets, and I love the explosions. My favorite thing to do in the game is fly in the wing-suit. Play this if you're looking for a good time.

Mindless fun. 2 words that sum up Just Cause 3.

Yes it has it's faults. The frame rate is very dodgy & the control system is a pain in the arse but who cares when you can tie 2 goats to a gas tank and launch them into the stratosphere. Just Cause is exactly what a video game should be, creative and fun. The graphics are good for an open world game and the range of vehicles, weapons

The graphics are good for an open world game and the range of vehicles, weapons and destructible items are vast.

The main point of the game is not the story or the side quests, it's just to have fun and be as creative as you can. As an example I latched a car onto a helicopter, flew it over a few gas tanks and dropped it. BOOM! Although the explosion did blow up my helo but what the hell, it was fun.

It's these sort of moments that make JC3 stand out from other similar games.

If you want to have fun and can see past the dodgy frame rate and the decade long load times, then JC3 is one of the best games of this gen.

In a season where Black Ops 3 and Battlefield 4 are my go-to games, Just Cause 3 fills a space well. There are a couple of weird things. The actions slows down in some of the more hectic gameplay. Also, the load times are pretty long. I've been playing JC3 in the mornings and can scarf down breakfast in the time it takes to load the game from the start screen. It becomes a bigger hassle when retrying a challenge - it's enough to make me give up on the challenge altogether rather than wait. I hope they have a way of patching this because the game is outrageously fun. It's a great game in a season of solid releases and it deserves attention - a class act. Expand

I think people are confused about what this game is supposed to be, which is why the score is below 90. This game is an epic "Dude, check this out!" sort of romp. If you like tethering cows to jet panes and ramming them into military fuel tanks as you parachute overhead raining rockets onto tanks, then this game is for you.

Amazing physics, great graphics and an amazing grapple hook/parachute/wing-suit dynamic.
Sometimes I noticed some dips in frame-rate which does not make the gaming experience less enjoyable.
Destroy the military bases is really satisfying and the fact that virtually nothing is scripted, you can use just about anything.

My only real complaint is that the game did not ship with a 3D mode. JC2 had support and while it may require some extra time and extra processing 3D would have put this game at a 9 or a 10. I hope over the coming months they optimize the codebase to run faster and add 3D support.

Just Cause 3 creates a realistic nation with an oppressive government and then let's you right that wrong. There are however drawbacks to a world that's perhaps too realistic/ immersive. There are big open spaces that can be annoying to traverse. The cities are very similar looking which is also accurate to how must of earth is but it can also make them boring.

Despite those limitations, it's an immensely satisfying experience. Every time I liberate a city or destroy a military base I feel a little bit closer to overthrowing the government. It's that kind of compelling game play that can make an afternoon vanish into thin air.

My only real complaint is the online login. So far it doesn't seem to have any use other than showing me comparisons between some achievement I made and those of other players. But it has caused the game to pause several times while it attempts to reconnect. Minuscule benefit, significant inconvenience.

Yeah, it's plot is no better than your standard Bollywood movie, but its obvious that that was not the focus for Square Enix. They decided to concentrate on making a really fun and exciting game instead, and you know what? It worked. I'm about 13 hours into the game and I'm proud to say it hasn't left me a dull moment, even the traveling from point a to point b is exhilarating with the sheer magnitude of transportation methods. The characters are simple, yet somehow memorable, with characteristics that make happy to know them, even if they aren't exactly groundbreaking in depth. Overall, Just Cause 3 is not for everyone, some people prefer a dialogue-driven story or RPGs with tons of depth and character customization, but for those looking for a good game to just sit, grab a snack and blow s*** up cause why not? People seem to want to hold it to that standard, which isn't realistic. GTA needs to raise the bar of open world with every new release, this was never supposed to be that.
The bugs aren't horrific, and people don't seem to understand that games/operating systems/software are released as a 'beta' these days and then patched.
Load times aren't unbearably slow, but will seem so due to slow physical media disc drives and HDs, not to mention the complex game data & graphics. The PS4 is a 5400 rpm hard drive, upgrade it to a 7200 and this loads faster than GTA does now, better yet get a SSHD.
This game is fun now, and will get lots of patches. Its beautiful to look at, and I haven't been let down.

Just Cause 3 is your typical open world-game, and feels like a cross between GTA and Far Cry.
At first I was a bit confused as what to do in the game, as it gives you almost too much freedom to the point where it's too overwhelming to decide what to tackle next.
But after some time I started to enjoy it still.
The open world-map is HUGE! Not only is most of it environment destructable, it's also beautiful to look at. And if you don't feel like blowing stuff up, there's plenty other stuff to do, like collecting different vehicles or flying around in your wing suit, taking in the beautiful scenery.
The frame rate has a tendency to drop quite low from time to time, and it can get a bit annoying, but not enough to affect the game play, at least for me.
The only down side's to this game is that the story is very generic and quite boring, and most of the missions and tasks get repetetive, but not nearly as repetitive as they get in Mad Max.
All in all, Just Cause 3 is a fun game, and well worth a go if you are into open world-games and blowing stuff up, or enjoy a nice-looking game.

It's not a game to obsess over, but rather the kind of thing to put on when you don't want to worry about resource management or slow, plodding traversal. This game wants you to grapple onto an attack helicopter, kick out the pilot, blow up a bunch of conveniently red-colored explosive barrels and towers, jump out of the helicopter, free-fall to within a few feet of the ground, grapple to the ground without splattering into a bunch of giblets, and watch as flaming mayhem falls from the sky as you slow-walk away.

It's a playground, and a damn good one at that. Great for a relaxing game session.
