    You're a lil dude wandering the desert and some ancient ruins, on the way discovering what happened to a lost civilisation i guess.

    ---{ Gameplay }---
    This is at best a walking simulator with light platforming. The reason I've given a low score is the end. You make your way through most of the game and when your each the mountain at the end your lil dude gets cold and loses his scarf and starts walking slowly, and... it's so bloody slow. I keep reading how it's supposed to portray the hardship of old age, or the struggle or whatever, but it DOESN'T because you're SITTING at HOME, PRESSING a BUTTON. For TEN. MINUTES. And quite frankly that's some hipster ****

    Very unique game at a very cheap price. The game is gorgeous and it can very well be a metaphor of many things in life. Any goal, any adventure is a journey. Life itself. And it's as if this game depicted the beginnings, the highs, the lows... and of course the ending. I won't rate it a 10 because in my opinion it's not that much of a game, more like an interactive experience. But totallyVery unique game at a very cheap price. The game is gorgeous and it can very well be a metaphor of many things in life. Any goal, any adventure is a journey. Life itself.     I picked up the game when PlayStation gave it as a freebie but didn't play it until after a while. Who knew I had a hidden gem in my library all along. Its short gameplay length caught me off-guard, which is not necessarily a bad thing. I did however struggle to complete the trophies. Maybe another playthrough can help me get the trophies.

    The aesthetic is incredible. It's mysterious and beautiful and atmospheric. Gameplay is straightforward but fun. Star is the drop in drop out multiplayer, which created some unexpectedly emotional moments. Downsides are length and replayability.

    Captivating exploration game that I'd describe as an arthouse videogame with a similar vibe to PS2 cult classics Shadow Of The Colossus and Ico. Adrenaline junkies may find it a little too ponderous but it's a rather unique experience with some truly special moments.

    Remember that this game was made in 2012. This game is not meant to surprise you with its amazing graphics or game play. The game is simply beautiful in its own way. It may be boring or short, but it was only made as a piece of art. The visuals are by far the best part of this game, and surpasses a lot of other games.

    Great examples of games as art. The atmosphere and artistic vision of this game is absolutely astounding. The multiplayer is great. The soundtrack is exceptional, and the level design is solid.

Todos os cenários apresentam características únicas, o que faz o player sentir que está progredindo na jornada. Já é a quarta ou quinta vez que eu zero, e duas delas eu joguei com um companheiro aleatório. Journey consegue mudar as emoções do usuário de forma impressionante, principalmente na queda do personagem naquela vala sombria; antes de cair, o jogador fica relaxado com horizonte, mas depois isso troca bem rápido para um estado de medo. Outra coisa interessante é como o co-op tem seu papel importante. Jogar sozinho é uma experiência totalmente diferente, então recomendo zerar single e multi.     It's meant to be short and simple. There's nothing wrong with that, and I think this is the best kind of that game I've ever seen. Replayability somewhat exists in the achievements and the experience of meeting different people (although it's pretty dead now.) Almost cried at the end.

    Unusual gameplay that requires to use only one stick and one button, but I can’t say that this lack of button usage has affected to its quality.     Of course there’s almost nothing about the plot, but visual narrative makes you empathize the characters, and sometimes you can meet some players, that are playing in the same as you.I’ve been playing this game when COVID-19 started, and Sony were giving away this game.And during the quarantine many players where playing this game, and approximately at the half of my play trough I met a player who were playing right now, and we’ve got to the end of the game together.None of the games I’ve played provided me such pleasant and relaxing, and at the same time friendly experience as much as this game did.

I also really appreciated the careful detail that went into it, such as volume of your character’s “voice” during the more trying parts of the journey.     The set pieces and the mechanics are absolutely fantastic and the visuals are ahead of their time for sure.
    The music reminded me of Skyrim and I like it!
    I'm impressed...
    Even the multiplayer is cool and really interesting.
    My only complain about the game is the very limited gameplay.

    I can see why this gets positive reviews, for sure. The graphics for the environments are often amazing and the music is incredible. I also really liked that the puzzles are fairly easy and the game is not overly long. But I'm not a huge fan of the inferred and artsy story.     The gameplay - the gameplay in the journey is very simple and fun, the game lets you use only two buttons - holding X will make your character fly, a short press on a circle will make the character make sounds, and holding a circle will make the character make a big sound that will attract pages The character's flight (yes the character has limited flight) and illuminate everything around him, the sounds the character emits when you click on a circle are like a light to the world of the game. To sum up the gameplay in the game is very basic but it does not need more than what it offers, because the story and adventure that you go through in Journey is the main and most important thing in the game.

    Final score - 8.5 / 10

    The story - the story in an amazing game, the adventure you go through is very fun, exciting, and touching. Without making you spoilers for the game, because this game is very short and the story is the main thing in the journey.     I understand some people are desperate to have video games be considered as art, but you can get this exact same experience of immersion and wonder, even more and better actually, in games like Genshin Imapct. It doesn't have to be an "artsy" game to make you feel immersed, and to be honest, it's shameful to even think that games are art when they're so much more than that.

    This game is just pressing the joystick forward and jumping. It has no philosophical or intrinsic meaning at all, that's just a veil that people put in front of them willingly to pretend their experience was anything but that of pushing a joystick forward.     You play as a mysterious robed figure, you find yourself in a huge desert, the only thing you know to do is head towards a mountain in the distance. You will see other players also on their own journey, but you can't communicate with them. As you play you will soon figure out that you need to "activate" seemingly dull pieces of cloth, into vibrant colourful ones. You will collect things that will allow you to jump, and almost fly for short periods, you will run along desert landscapes, and then find yourself almost surfing down the other side of a hill. When I say it is hard to describe, it really is.

    You will explore ancient caves, as well as activate those aforementioned pieces of cloth, that will allow you to reach high up ancient structures, which in turn allow you to activate relics, that allow you to progress through the area.

    Although the game is relatively short (a few hours at most), there is a feeling of wonder as you traverse through the landscapes, if anything this feels more like an emotional experience than a game. When you finally reach the mountain, it truly does give off a feeling of wonder and accomplishment.

    I won't spoil the ending, and I have been careful not to give away too much, as this really is a game that you should experience.

    The Good
    The graphics are stunning, the soundtrack is beautiful. And if you were lucky enough to add this game to your account during Sony's "Play at Home" promotion, then you really do have a classic on your hands. I say this, as I did just that, back in July of 2020, Sony made a couple of games available for people to download and keep for free. I added the game to my account and then forgot about it, and only now have I started playing it. And I am happy I finally did, but annoyed I never played it sooner.

    The Bad
    The game is quite short.

    Overall
    Not many games can be sold on the experience it gives you to play, the emotion it provides, this is one of those games.
    It has won countless awards for being great, and I will also lavish praise on the game, a true classic I score 9/10    … Expand

This game lasts 4 hours or so, but you should do yourselves a favor and play this game even if it is rather short. It's quality that matters, not quantity.

    As a side note, the PS4 version technically runs better (1080p and 60 fps) than the original did on PS3 (720p and 30 fps). There is a minor downgrade in the way sand is rendered compared with the PS3 version, but most people won't even notice. The game's still beautiful.    … Expand

    A beautiful game, which although short is really enjoyable throughout. I have completed this game multiple times just because I can. To complete the game you are looking at roughly 2 -3hrs and it's not challenging which means you can look at the world that has been created and enjoy it.

    This brings my to my only real criticism of the game - your companion is a random person who is also playing at the same time as you are. you can only communicate via chimes. I would love to be able to add friends from my friend list and to play with them as my companion

I know all of this is supposed to ressemble the Journey etc but it is not enough to my liking. I played similar typed games that caught me a lot better.

    I think for many people that like calm atmospherical games this game might be interesting to discover. I personally cannot recommend the "game". It has no replay value, it is very slow. Playtime is around 1-2hrs. I got it with PS+ for free so I wanted to try it but for the regular price of 14.99 I dont see the price tag fitting. That is at least my very personal opinion. I can see why this game is fascinating for others so probably it is up to everyone individually to test it out and see whether it clicks or not.    … Expand

    Es un juego precioso, se que es un remaster y no llegué a jugarlo en PS3 pero a mi me ha gustado mucho tanto los gráficos al ver como se ve la arena, el ambiente, las ruinas, todo y su banda sonora que te mete dentro del propio juego.     Hands down my favorite game, it always puts me in a good mood and the reason why I give it a 10/10 is that there is nothing to add to it to make it better. It knows exactly what it wants to do and does it well. It might not be for everyone but I keep coming back to it every few months.

    Went into this blind. Was a bit confused at first as people who got thrown in with me would do the puzzle for me. Once I got past that, WOW what a stunning game. Soundtrack is incredible, especially near the end where it nearly made me tear up. Very uplifting experience.

I like everything about it, story, graphics, music, feeling, the gameplay is very simplistic but it works for what type of game it is.     After getting 100 percent I can't think of anything I liked about the game. It's short with subpar graphics. The story is nearly non-existent and it forces you to play online as long as you have an internet connection with probably the most rudimentary options menu I've ever seen.     Contemplative game, without difficulty or challenge for the player. Just pick up your controller, turn off the lights and relax. Like other games in this genre, its great virtue lies in its beauty. It's short, very short, I finished it in an afternoon. It's beautiful, but I like games with some kind of challenge. Even so, it's a recommendable game, you don't lose anything for finishing it.

    It's a decent game, but it's less than 2 hours long and offers no replayability. The gameplay is solid, albeit extremely simple, and you can tell it's been designed to be played once and put aside. Not BAD, but not great.

It will take you a little bit over one hour to complete your Journey or maybe you could stretch it to three hours if you want to observe every single corner of the world. It has no text or any speech at all, yet, it deliveres a beautiful story accompanied by a nice orchestral music.
