    This game was very cool, I played it for about 40 hours and it becomes very challenging with time, the ideas are very well thought out and honestly I'm not the type of person who likes games to sit for hours with certain bosses, but here it was nice, I can't wait the next game.

    It's a very fun game with challenging bosses and platforming.

    But a lot of times it feels unnecessarily punishing and may be too unfriendly to casual players. Things like sparse benches (save points), the map of each region needs to be unlocked first, current position not available on the map with a charm and a notch (a precious resource), etc. I beat a fairly hard end game boss (NKG)    It's a very fun game with challenging bosses and platforming.

    But a lot of times it feels unnecessarily punishing and may be too unfriendly to casual players. Things like sparse benches (save points), the map of each region needs to be unlocked first, current position not available on the map with a charm and a notch (a precious resource), etc. I beat a fairly hard end game boss (NKG) but there're still various content I don't even want to start just to avoid frustrations.

    I'd really love some more accessibility so people don't get locked out of contents, especially that consoles don't have mods    … Expand

    Juego de culto, recomiendo probarlo al menos una vez si se tiene ocasión. Si conectas con él es imposible echarle menos de 100 horas.

    Arte e design simples e linda, jogabilidade muito boa, história ótima e uma dificuldade balanceada (na minha perspectiva) em grande parte do jogo. Um metroidvania impecável e melhores do que muitos por aí, simplesmente meu jogo preferido.

    Hollow knight is a game that went beyond my expectations. It's clear that Team Cherry put a lot of love and care in their game. At first, I was a bit afraid by the game's difficulty but I can reassure a lot of casual players that the difficulty is fair. I found the level design to be really great and there is an interesting variety among the enemies types. I completed my walkthrough inHollow knight is a game that went beyond my expectations. You will get a lot for your money by buying this game. For me, Hollow Knight is a strong 8/10. I think the game still has a few weaknesses like the story and the graphics that are quite basic (I understand that most people will still like the game's presentation. For me, it's just a matter of taste). Finally, I think this kind of game gives hope for how much quality small studios can deliver. I recommend this game and I will try the sequel if it get released on PS5 in the future.… Expand

    The best indie game i have ever played in my life, it's nice for all the people, a balanced game in difficult with very hard challenges in the post game. A big world to explore and be amazed with the beauty scenery and beauty songs with a lot of mobs and boss to fight. The feeling of exploration is extraordinary, you will not want to stop playing and try your harder to beat the game andThe best indie game i have ever played in my life, it's nice for all the people, a balanced game in difficult with very hard challenges in the post game. A big world to explore and be amazed with the beauty scenery and beauty songs with a lot of mobs and boss to fight. The feeling of exploration is extraordinary, you will not want to stop playing and try your harder to beat the game and all the challenges it has to show. I think it was my hardest platinum trophy to achieve, too hard but too gratifying.

    Metroid-style platform explore 'em up with cute cartoony graphics. The sprawling levels mean it can be a little too easy to get lost and the combat gets a tad repetitive, but a good example of the genre...it's just nowhere near as good as the Metroid games on the GBA.

    One of the best metroidvania that exists. It is addicting and satisfying. The way you learn is amazing and when you stop playing you want to come back to it asap. Graphics and soundtrack are 10/10. Hard and challenging bosses and a very interesting lore.

    I want to love this game but I just can’t give it any higher than a 6. The art style is gorgeous, the music is delightful and the gameplay is typically tight and responsive. There are 2 main things holding this game back though.

    1: It’s easy to get lost in, and not in a good way. The game just throws you into its vast underground labyrinth with absolutely no indication of where to go or    I want to love this game but I just can’t give it any higher than a 6. The art style is gorgeous, the music is delightful and the gameplay is typically tight and responsive. There are 2 main things holding this game back though.

    1: It’s easy to get lost in, and not in a good way. The game just throws you into its vast underground labyrinth with absolutely no indication of where to go or what to do. You’ll spend a lot of time backtracking through the same sections of the map because you have no idea where you’re going. Or you don’t have the necessary skills to advance yet. Once the novelty of the art wears off this can become incredibly tedious and boring. Not to mention the map in this game is atrocious and you will have to spend time grinding just to buy basic things for it like a simple compass.

    2: This game does not respect your time. When you die (which will be often), you will respawn at one of the sparse save points on the map. These are typically very far from the location of the boss that just killed you so it can add up to a good chunk of time spent walking back through the enormous map just to make another attempt at a difficult boss. This does not take long to become a frustrating and tiresome endeavor. Not to mention that this game borrows the souls mechanic of losing all of your money when you die. So you have to return to your previous point of death where you will fight a shade of yourself to reclaim your belongings. And if you die before you can reach it, there goes all the money you spent hours collecting. It just feels like a way to artificially pad out the length of the game by making something difficult that really doesn’t need to be.

    There were a few other gripes I had with this game. It’s opening hour or two feels like a slog, Your character feels vastly underpowered compared to everything around him and the combat, while responsive and fun, isn’t really that complex and starts to feel boring after a while. There are also some very cheap deaths scattered throughout that feel less like a challenge and more like a cheap way to punish the player.
    I don’t usually quit on a game that I’ve put 5-6 hours into but Hollow Knight just began to feel more like a chore to play than a fun game. Which is a shame because there are things about it that I really love. The hype has really oversold this game in my opinion. If you like games that are truly punishing and require a lot of time and repetition sunk into them to get it right, than Hollow Knight might be right up your alley. For everyone else this game will feel more like a chore than anything resembling a fun video game.    … Expand

    I completed this game, even all the side quest. It's basically Dark Soul in nut shell. There are good things about this game, good map, different style of storytelling, character designs, etc. But, I don't think the game system is fair and balanced, it's punishing system discourage players to play through the game, and action and movement are quite stiff to me.

    After playing on Playstation and Xbox and finishing hollow knight on Xbox: I would like to recommand this game for it's high quality, zero glitches,a lot of enemy types, intresting atmosphere and overall being a masterpiece.

    Played a bit, got lost, didn't pick it up for another year, then I got sucked in. It's got it all. Huge world full of secrets, atmosphere, and challenges. Frustrations a plenty, especially with some late game bosses, some ludicrously demanding platforming. And yet consistently fun at the same time. I adore this game, even though it pissed me off at times, and think its amazing for such aPlayed a bit, got lost, didn't pick it up for another year, then I got sucked in. It's got it all. Huge world full of secrets, atmosphere, and challenges. Frustrations a plenty, especially with some late game bosses, some ludicrously demanding platforming.     Stile grafico curato e originale, personaggi e trama intriganti, mondo di gioco vasto ma pieno di segreti da scoprire.
    Giocabilità altissima e alta longevità.

    Hollow Knight genuinely surprised me, from a small indie company I wouldn't have expected such a polished experience. Throughout my journey through Hallownest I fought through what felt like a huge variety of enemies and bosses, which was challenging to say the least and definitely made me want to quit on more than one occasion, but fighting through the blind hatred and defeating each boss made me feel more and more satisfied with my progression even when I thought I had hit a wall, and collecting the massive arsenal of charms and abilities that I earned from exploring every nook and cranny, made me feel like I was getting better and better while my timing and use of spells improved over time.
    The story of Hollow Knight was one that took me some time to get used too, without a quest board to guide me I definitely felt lost at times, but with the drive to explore the amazing environments that could completely change the tone of the game in an instant, I was able to get really enveloped in the story of the Hollow Knight.
    The community surrounding Hollow Knight is one that cares greatly about the detail and deep lore, I have enjoyed spending hours surfing its reddit and YouTube to find Easter eggs and theories about the characters, as well as the incredibly strong community of artists who have created some of the most impressive art I've seen, which all added to my overall experience and drove me to push through the difficulties to complete the game and experience everything it had to offer.
    The music is a such a big part of Hollow Knight as they have beautifully handcrafted each fight with its own musical piece, which I have began to listen to outside of the game and have grown to really appreciate the alluring symthany and how it instantly immerses me in the environment I am exploring.
    In conclusion, the world of Hollow Knight is one filled with great challenges and a mysterious beauty, with the art style being so unique and the music being exceptional throughout my journey, it all combined together to great an incredible game with a sentimental and exciting story, which makes me incredibly excited for what team cherry has for the future!    … Expand
