    One of the best games available on any platform.

    Huge play area, tons of content (includes 3 DLCs) and tight and responsive combat.    One of the best games available on any platform.

    Absolutely amazing game. This game is only 20 dollars CAD (15 dollars US) and it is worth every penny and more.

    Each enemy and area is unique in their own way, and the boss fights are really cool. It's 40+ hours of great content. The music and art were done very well.

    The combat isn't anything special (though it fits well with the game) and you do have to backtrack a lot, but those were very minor issues for me.

    Hollow Knight also has a very interesting story with characters that are very likable.

    Addicting. Challenging. Frustrating. Metroidvania. Platforming. Grind/explore to get better. Rewarding. Boss simulator. Dark souls. BasicallyAddicting. Challenging. Frustrating. Metroidvania. Platforming. Grind/explore to get better. Rewarding. Boss simulator. Dark souls. Basically this game in a nutshell. Exhilarating boss fights, and the feeling of major accomplishment everytime you beat one, especially if you've been struggling against one for a long time. Huge world to explore, when I still see new areas and enemies/bosses 30 hours into my playthrough; the developers did something right. The story was gibberish to me, but I could'n't care less about it, i just wanted to kill more bosses and find new charms and areas. Warning: this is very much a game inspired by challenging gameplay like dark souls.. so if you don't like those type of games...this one is a tad bit more accessible than a souls game.. just a fyi.
    Also, you're not buying this game for the story or combat, your buying this game for the metroidvania elements and the challenge. I liked it a lot, the reward was worth the frustration.    … Full Review »
