Hitman's purest stealth episode so far is a white-knuckle ride of espionage and action amidst the backdrop of enemy territory, as Agent 47 finally begins to uncover the threads of a season-long conspiracy.

This chapter isn’t the best (Chapter 2’s Sapienza still reigns supreme) but it’s a worthy addition. Four targets in heavily populated territory is a new twist for Hitman, and the fact that it was done without unfairly kicking the difficulty up or sacrificing player-paced preparation should be commended.

The fifth episode delivers a rather high difficulty spike, which was honestly needed in the episodic Hitman. It is an improvement over the previous episodes and deserves to be played by Hitman fans and stealth fans in general.

Hitman: Episode 5 strips everything right back in order to focus on stealth, stealth and more stealth, but this shift is exactly what the series needed. Another triumph.

The targets are harder to kill and the environment isn’t as pretty as previous missions, but Colorado offers excellent gameplay and tons of replayability.

A challenging episode, but it never hits the level of Paris or Sapienze. It's fun for a while, but nothing all too memorable.

Not the most visually appealing episode, but Colorado has its own charms and sees the story come to the forefront, if a little too late to have the impact it desires.

Deus Ex, Dishonored, Metal Gear Solid and Hitman Blood Money being examples. From the very start I've not enjoyed this episodic release schedule and I think it has hurt the game as a result. I can't find a story here and it's very hard to get absorbed in something split up like this.

Compared to earlier levels such as Paris and Italy this level is a mixture of brown and green. It's ugly. I also felt there was little room to experiment here as literally everyone is on alert. Filling a level with more enemies to increase difficult is lazy.

Come back soon hitman, ditch this release model and go back to your roots like Blood Money...

There is freedom in the episode, but the NPCs or in this case - highly trained paranoid soldiers, won't let you use that freedom as much. A good challange though. Full Review »

It completely undermines the whole game and makes it feel Mickey Mouse. The people in Morocco all spoke with native English speaker North American accents, and now that the game has an episode in Colorado the mercenaries guarding the place are all speaking with British accents...??? Has anyone put any thought into it at all? Even though I've paid for all the episodes I've given up on this game. I didn't finish this episode and don't intend to try the Japan one either. The Sapienza episode was fairly enjoyable, but overall this game is a massive flop. Don't waste your money. Full Review »
