    I still love this master piece and replaying it again on PS4 enhanced the experience.

    Keep in mind that the title originally came out in 2011, so "remastering" does what it can.

    If you didn't play the original release, now is a good time to do so.
    One of my favourites.

    Playing Heavy Rain today is an interesting experience. While the story has plot holes it keeps you on edge and the possibility of characters dieing and different endings created a whole new genre in 2010. 10 years later the clunky controls and robotic acting are frustrating (especially the motion controls).

    An absolute delight from beginning to end. The baton-passing style of storytelling they used always kept the plot interesting, and every named character was always unique that when they were introduced in the story, you wanted to know more about them. I loved every character you played as throughout the game, which made some twists towards the end especially great. Mix all of this in withAn absolute delight from beginning to end.     Heavy Rain is an interactive crime mystery based on human relationships that feels like it was made by someone who has never interacted with human beings, witnessed any sort of emotional responses or watched anything other than cheap B-movie thrillers. Ok at best, laughably bad at worst.

    At first I didn't really like this game, but then, after a couple of hours, it became already interesting what this story would end with. Everyone says that it’s not completely clear who the murderer is and this is absolutely true - this is actually an unexpected turn.     Mark Twain, once golf a good walk spoiled. The same can be said for Heavy Rain. An OK story turned into a slow stumble of quick-time events. Also features unimpressive voice acting and a non-intuitive set of controls.

    This was one of the worsts experiences i've EVER had playing games. The game has such a boring and no-action story, with a weird gameplay (I know it's a "interactive film", even because I played Detroit: Become Human and i LOVED it) and grafics sucks (considering it's a remastered). Here we can see how Quantic Dreams' games have evoluted, every little detail of Detroit is better than this.

    The things I dislike most about this are the voice acting and the huge plot holes. The children sound incredibly French and that's down to the developers being French and not hiring talent from other countries instead. It gets really annoying and just feels cheap. It ruins the world of the game and doesn't make it seem real for you to immerse in. Their voice acting isn't even good, it feels as though they got one of the production staff's children to do it rather than actual voice actors. This had a good budget so why cut corners like that?

    The plot holes are so annoying. They expect you to just understand it and work it out yourself but some stuff just makes 0 sense. You would only know if you knew about the deleted scenes. So they just left stuff that was only significant with the deleted scenes and on its own it's just unclear. They should've really cleared those bits.

    The controls are a bit funny and they're not as good as with Detroit. Then again, this did come out years before Detroit on the PS3 so I can let that slide.

    Overall, the plot is okay. I enjoyed playing through it and this was quite fresh at the time it was released. Your inability to meet QTEs can actually result in the main characters dying so the stakes are high. But this is only during certain parts of the game, it's not like Until Dawn where there are several moments where characters can die. Of course, if you just don't do anything then it just looks very comedic and unrealistic as it can take a few failed QTEs until you finally die, but the idea of failing and consequently dying is still there regardless. So if you're in for a good crime thriller plot, I'd recommend this. After all, it's the plot you play for in these kind of games. But expect a lot of plot holes like characters suddenly knowing others despite never ever meeting them or knowing of their existence.

    I feel like there are some plot holes and inconsistencies without spoiling, so I do have to dock points there.

    This was a decent effort by the developers, however this has definitely not aged as well, especially compared to Detroit which is much better on all levels.    … Expand

    After completing the game in a ps4 pro, here are my review for the game. The graphics is literally like ps2 and the control movement and camera are as bad as ps1 classic perhaps maybe worse. But i scored it fairly high because its story is absolutely fantastic dragging the whole game really fun to play. The characters are memorable and charming specially Madison. My score is supposed to beAfter completing the game in a ps4 pro, here are my review for the game. My score is supposed to be 8 but end up 7 because i dont understand how finishing the game where nobody dies with the best ending possible and i didnt even get a gold trophy achievement.     Ported Heavy Rain was one of the PS4 system sellers for me. Amazing branching story with characters that each have their own problems. The mystery of the Origami Killer suprises you with a nice plot twist. The soundtrack of the game has some great pieces and the graphics aged pretty well.

    Для меня данная игра останется лучшим творение квантиков. Даже столь нашумевший Детройт не сравнится с ней. Очень сильный, а главное интересный сюжет. На протяжении всей игры вас держат в напряжении и ставят перед различным выбором, который в дальнейшем может кардинально перевернуть всю игру. Больше всего понравилась история Нормана Джейдена. Каждую его миссию проходила с огромнымДля меня данная игра останется лучшим творение квантиков. Даже столь нашумевший Детройт не сравнится с ней. Очень сильный, а главное интересный сюжет. However I can't get past both the clunky living-mannequin feel for the control ( seriously which decade are we in) or the over-the-top emotional manipulation with a sledge-hammer. This game sunk with me within the first 3 hours.     And turns out I had reasons for that. What an tremendous story! What a twist! I could never imagine Shelby being the Killer!
    My only problem was gameplay-wise. Sometimes it feels clunky and responds badly.
    Overall, it's a great game. Anyone who say "this isn't a game" should rethink their concepts.    … Expand

Me ha gustado igual o incluso mas que Detroit lo que pasa que yo me caracterizo por un sistema de puntuación muy alto, con lo cual hay veces que no puedo dar mas puntuación, pero creo que ambos juegos se merecen un 10, son juegos muy innovadores.     Las decisiones que tomas son muy importables porque pueden llevar a la muerte de tus personajes, el juego no tiene un único final.

    Teniendo en cuenta el año de lanzamiento del titulo tiene unos gráficos muy buenos para la época.

    La jugabilidad, es muy buena pero si que es verdad que hay veces que no detecta correctamente el movimiento del mando y da errores o como pulsar el R2 para poder andar, puede llegar a ser molesto pero te acabas acostumbrando...

    En cuanto a la historia me ha parecido impresionante, impresionante como se ha ido desarrollando y al acabar el videojuego me he quedado boquiabierto por el final del mismo. Todos los personajes aportan algo a la historia sean jugables o no (especialmente los jugables).

    Yo recomiendo que juguéis este juego, sobre todo a las personas que le encantan los juegos interactivos que este titulo no os va a decepcionar.

    Controls suck big time, but other than that an interesting story. Graphics are OK on the PS4. The voice acting is decent but cringe worthy in some segments.

    Overall an enjoyable but painfull ride control-wise

    The game is something unusual and unconventional compare to all the games out there. The story is remarkable and irrespective of the fact that it might not involve "fighting" and "killing" it is a game that you should not miss. The story will make you cry, to say the least.

    Dentro de todo un buen juego , eso si , nada del otro mundo. Graficamente muy bueno. La historia es bastante buena, lo malo es que el comienzo es realmente muy aburrido, casi dejo el juego ahi. Una vez que pasas esas primeras horas, el juego va tomando ritmo y al final vale la pena haberlo jugado.

    This game reminded me how much I like story driven and narrative video games where your choices play a role in the story development.. I couldn't put it down until I finished it in the middle of a night.

    This game has some cringy and funny moments which is not good considering this game is supposed to have a serious tone. But I did for the most part like this story.However remember this is not really a game more like a movie you make choices in.

    This game is an absolute masterpiece, well besides the game. Cinematically, story-wise and thinking about graphics, this game is amazingly good, gripping and just overall a massive achievement. My only complaint is that the gameplay is pretty bad, but really, since everything else is so good, I didn't even really notice while playing and I've certainly never found a game that I've enjoyedThis game is an absolute masterpiece, well besides the game.     This game is pretty good. It's a really good crime thriller and it has a interesting story. You play as four characters, leading up to the end. Each character can die if you mess up too much, or if you mess up too much you get extra chapters following up on what happened. Some of the achievements are a little bit weird so be cautious of that.

    mbitious but limited game trying to be a movie and ending up as a joke. The cascade of choices is an illusion for most of the game, pushing the protagonists onwards on rails to move the plot forward. It's a rip off of Se7en just with lots of plot holes.

    Absolute masterpiece! The story is so thrilling, I couldn't get my eyes away from it. The detective work is one the best in gaming industry. And some choices are so hard to make, I was sitting half an hour, thinking about my next step.

    Solid game, with a good story, but very uninteresting in terms of the whole "game" aspect. The controls are dreadful. Still would definitely recommend it as a one-time playthrough.     Heavy Rain is one of those games that was simply ahead of its time and wasn't fully appreciated by many people.
    I'm into this story-based game and Heavy Rain delivers big time. An awesome psychological thriller to say the least.

    The story, as a whole, is really what makes this game enjoyable. The player is constantly second-guessing their assumptions about the characters which makes learning more about the characters an immersive experience. However, the immersion is broken when some of the issues of the game are brought to light:

    Heavy Rain è il miglior gioco del genere Film interattivo che abbia mai giocato. Per quanto il gioco sia un giallo con alcuni plot hole dati da dei tagli fatti al progetto, trovo che la storia funzioni comunque bene e che abbia una buona dose di finali alternativi che possono punire chi gioca male, come possono premiare chi sia stato più attento con le proprie azioni. è l'unico gioco diHeavy Rain è il miglior gioco del genere Film interattivo che abbia mai giocato.     Dark and hopeless atmosphere of pouring rain and mysterious killer kidnapping kids on the streets.
    There is very few games I played till the end, but this is one of them. Beautiful graphics, deep dive into game great story. Controls and cameras are sometimes weird, but you get used to it very quick, and they are not ones, making    Magnificent action adventure in interactive movie style.

    incredible story, isnt much there in terms of gameplay (which can even be boring at times... screw the stupid scene at the park) but the story is its main focus and it delivers signifcantly

    The neo-noir world with a dash of sci-fi is pretty interesting, but it is the horrible writing, acting and very annoying attempts to make the story more interactive that really bring the experience down to an absolute low most of the time.
    There are so many god awful shallow characters here that are easily B-movie Netflix quality, but yet the game takes itself super seriously so you just sit there as an observer while the head of the screenwriter disappears in his own ass.

    There is a moment when you need to hold a baby as a character and really carefully move the controller left and right to make it fall asleep which makes you reattempt it after you fail. You can't actually progress the story if you didn't make the baby fall asleep so it really isn't a narrative choice but just a really really dumb chore you have to finish. Why this just wasn't a cutscene is beyond me.

    I failed to rock the baby around twenty times and kind of wanted it to smash it and my controller to the wall because I was so irritated at that point, not only because the controls are horrible but also because the only reason I wanted to finish that task was to get to more toe-curling bad writing and cringy acting performances.

    The only thing the story has is the twist at the end, but even that I disliked because it is just set up with cheap manipulative writing tactics.

    3/10 because of the world and visuals, the rest is really bad in my humble (personal) opinion.    … Expand

    Even though this is just re mastered Heavy Rain is a breath of fresh air into what games use to be story wise but also bringing a lot of new perspectives to it at the same time. If you have never played Heavy Rain and are looking at getting it, I would highly recommend it in

    I heard about Heavy Rain on PS3 when I was a kid. I knew I was good at that time. But after beating this game, I was amazed by how good this game is. Every second of it is dramatic and I couldn’t put the controller down. I know the control is clunky. But still, it’s one of the best games I have ever played.

And for some unknown reason you need to hold R2 to walk in a game that requires constant walking. But it gets worse.     This is a masterpiece in 2022. Is one of the best games that i ever play. This game is simply perfect mainly because of its creative plot, the character development is incredible and personally I had a great time playing it. It's such a good story and so creepy. I highly recommend it to this day it will be a masterpiece

    Although the controls are not very good, the story is very good and has multiple different endings and multiple characters. Your characters can die or survive according to your choices, it depends on your decisions and instant actions.

    4. The strip club scene is completely unnecessary and the female character (Madison) is needlessly sexualized with the camera constantly showing her behind all the time for no reason.

    I did relatively enjoy my playthrough with Heavy Rain. But the issues prevent me from giving this a green rating. So 7/10. Certainly will never play this again. If i want to see the other endings ill just watch them on YouTube or replay the last few chapters. Same with a particular change in chapter. So the reply value isn't that strong in reality.    … Expand

Main characters are good enough but I’ve seen better and I also had a „why are you doing this” feeling in few moments during the game.     It's a good interactive film which choosing the wrong decisions consequence the characters. The graphics and the narrative are the best points meanwhile the music is not memorable. The most I like it is the end and the way of the characters change their mentality.
    I recommend to everybody but I would say that the version of Ps4 (remastered) is exactly the same as the Ps3 game.

    It doesn’t offer anything new for anyone who already played the original. On the other hand, the graphics are significantly overhauled, making this remastered version a safe choice for anyone who didn’t had the chance to experience this excellent interactive drama.
