Apr 20, 2020The art, universe, and story-telling are brilliant. Gameplay is satisfying and holds well with time. Definitely quite a few glitches and wrinkles where I had to full restart to get 'unstuck.' A lot of the puzzles are challenging, but make sense, however there are definitely a few that I'm not sure how anyone would ever think to use this item in that location.

Jan 30, 2015I rate it 9 . not because of good remastering.
Because it is in my top 10 of best games.
It deserves more investment. The grim fandango universe deserves more attention. They could make more money. but they didnt -

Jun 12, 2016Never has a game made me legitimately smile within the first 5 minutes... until I tried this game. (Thanks PS Plus) The characters, dialogue, and story are all well crafted in a way that you won't want this adventure to end. I didn't try the original, but this remaster is certainly great so that more people can experience this wonderful gem.

Jan 27, 2015A Wonderful remaster of a game lost for ages. One of double fine's best work yet and surely an instant classic for generations to enjoy. 15$ has never looked so wonderful

Mar 2, 2018I grew fond of Grim Fandango's world and characters but the unintuitive puzzles frustrated me too much. Too much moon logic.

Feb 4, 2015Grim fandango has to be one of the best Adventure games I have ever played, and this remastered edition does not change my opinion about the game itself, but as a remastered piece, does not reach up to my level of expectation.

Feb 4, 2016I thought the art style was very unique and I really loved Glottis and Manny, I thought the two were hilarious as I found myself chuckling out loud a few times. However, half of the time, I had no idea where to go as this game does not hold your hand which can be considered a positive rather than a negative for some people.

Feb 14, 2017Nice game comes with some improved graphics, and some different ways to approach the game when you can listen to the developer's comments. The game is great cult classic very funny, but really hard if you are not used to these kinds of games.

Oct 22, 2016Grim Fandango Remastered is a graphic adventure developed by Double Fine Productions.
+ Good Story
+ Good Characters
- Frustrating Puzzles
- No Hints -

Jan 15, 2016When you complete a puzzle, you feel such a sense of achievement, you keep playing to feel it again. You need this game in your library and, with this remaster, there has never been a better time.

Games Master UKApr 9, 2015A wonderful, undisputed classic, but one that has dated significantly over the years. [April 2015, p.72]
-
Play UKMar 31, 2015The technical quality of the remaster might be in question, but the quality of the game itself is not. [Issue#254, p.70]
