All the side collection items just are not worth the trouble. Overall, solid installment compared to IV but too short and hollow Expand

GTA V was an alright-ish game. It had an average story without any interesting plot twists. The graphics was also good enough. The characters were generally as expected, however the psychopath was somewhat interesting. This is the only reason the score is as high as 5. I think they tried to do too many things and ended up with a vanilla experience that is nothing special.

    Other things worth mentioning:
    * It is very repetitive.
    * You have to drive everywhere. I do too much of that in real life as it is. We should be able to call a cab ... but wait, there is a cab calling function. Too bad I only found out about it after searching google for a fast travel option. Therefore I had to subtract some points for wasted effort.

The main drawback with making a completely open-world game is that you cannot handcraft everything in the game. This causes it to become repetitive. I am starting to miss the "bad old days" with it's linear game play

Few buildings are fully-enter-able with detail interiors, you die really easily and wanted level builds up so fast that makes random killings of NPCs a chore and no longer fun. There is also so little things you can do, the nightclub gets boring real fast.

The online components is worse. Griefing is prevalent and players kill each other for fun making passive mode a must have to enjoy co-operative missions. The co-op missions are dull and darksoul-ish where players die very easily and failure will demand a full restart from beginning. Makes online very very dull.

Overall its a horrible game just don't buy it.

The game is brilliant in two main parts:

    1) Main story, with he different characters, their lifes, the voice acting, the animations ... Excelent, superb!. Following the main story missions is what makes this game shine.

    2) Open world graphics! Might not be as good as on PC, but depending where you are or what you are doing the graphics of this game can go from good to gorgeous. The lights, details on the streets, the water, flying the plane. Brilliant.

Now, this game can be definitely be improved in these aspects:

    1) The shooting parts. The animations are smooth and look cool yes, but it handles extremely SLOW. Also, whats with the auto aim? It ruins all the fun, seriously.

    2) Driving. OK... how many GTA's have been released now? If one of the main features in the game is stealing cars and driving around, why is the handling so damn BAD?? The brakes are super super sensitive, the handbrake makes the car slide into infinity, and it's just close to impossible to take corners in a satisfying way with a fast car.

Overall, excellent game, well worth the money. But in my opinion it can be improved a lot. I'd rather have a game with less content but good handling.

The most fun I have ever had playing video games was the first month or so that GTAV was released. Playing with my buddies and cousins online was hysterical and just the debauchery, the customization, the real world locations, the vehicles and of course, the guns.
To be honest, we haven't played that much lately - new games come out and the expansion content hasn''t impressed me too much.

Still, when I think back on the times I had playing GTAV and the fact that I still fire it up and get lost in Los Santos I have to give this game a 10. That and I can't imagine why the average score is 8.2...so I inflated my score a bit. tbh, the game is still a solid 9.

My favorite metaphor for the GTA franchise is this: imagine you have a friend who you often meet at parties. Whenever you do, you tend to have an awesome night of silly conversation and drink-fueled, reckless fun. But every now and then you meet them in a more sober environment during the day, and when you try to strike a conversation... it's just kinda awkward and not the same. Likewise,My favorite metaphor for the GTA franchise is this: imagine you have a friend who you often meet at parties. Whenever you do, you tend to have an awesome night of silly conversation and drink-fueled, reckless fun. But every now and then you meet them in a more sober environment during the day, and when you try to strike a conversation... it's just kinda awkward and not the same. Likewise, in Grand Theft Auto V you'll often find yourself immersed in the most crazy, action-filled, over-the-top criminal adventures. But every now and then, an extremely mundane section comes along and ends up feeling like the sober day job part of the characters' lives. Oh well, a night-only friend can still be a great friend if you just focus on what makes the friendship tick, and the same happens with Rockstar's latest.

GTA V has you playing as three main characters: rookie hustler Franklin, retired thief Michael, and complete-freaking-nutjob druglord Trevor. Their stories start intertwining as you make your way through the game's campaign, and the writing is decent enough that the many cutscenes are actually very enjoyable to watch. The gameplay is your typical GTA fare: a very competent action-adventure romp that throws you into an open-world city (or, in this game's case, an entire small state) and tasks you to survive by making it big as a criminal. You'll steal vehicles, drive around town, enter gunfights with rival gangsters, run from the police, and ocasionally pick up a hooker. Controls are mostly intuitive and the action is responsive.

Like in pretty much every GTA game since the first one, the real star of the show is the seamless open-world exploration. GTA V's state of San Andreas features a whole bunch of different environments, from the bustling metropolis of Los Santos to small villages up north to vast patches of mountain wilderness. There are a lot of cool details waiting around for your attention, such as the entire episodes of fictional TV shows you can watch. Just wandering around can be pretty great; at one point, I stole a jet-ski and went around the state, just looking for stuff. I found a deserted beachside camp with more jet skis, then tried to find my way back to civilization while terrorizing wild animals and unsuspecting citizens unlucky enough to be driving nearby. It's this sort of mindless fun that's arguable the game's greatest strenght.

But of course, there are also more structured missions. This is where the game (the franchise, really) fluctuates wildly in quality for me. I mean, stealing a top-secret army weapon or torching a competitor's meth lab can be fun enough. But then you end up doing stuff such as operate a crane, tow a car, or going drinking with a friend for no discernable in-game benefit... and frankly, those can get so dull that it beats me why they're even in the game (and worse, some as mandatory campaign missions).

Some other missions have different problems: the worst offender in my eyes makes a minigame out of a brutal torture section. I fully believe that game violence can be done in a mostly harmless way, especially when it's as wonderfully overblown (and tongue-in-cheek) as it generally is in GTA. This sort of thing, however, feels like taking a turn for the disturbing just for the hell of it, especially because the actual gameplay in the aforementioned mission is completely dull and uninteresting.

Controversies aside, it's hard not to admire GTA V for what it does well. It's a game that is fun a lot of the time, especially because it eschews any sort of faux-serious vibe, opting instead for the serie's trademark penchant for the zany. It may be overrated in my eyes, but it's still worth your time.

I had GTA V pre ordered way back in 2012, long before it's initial release because I knew it would be something special, I knew that Rockstar, the greatest games producer on the planet next to Bethesda , would not let me down. And they didn't, when I played it for the first time on PS3 it was magical; a huge, detailed immersive world with a rich, powerful story and unforgettable characters the likes of which could be found nowhere else, but sadly there was no multiplayer and once I hit 90% completion I got a little bored and I strayed, and traded it in.

Then they re-released it for 'new-gen' and my god is it now perfect.

Everything has been upgraded, the visuals, as beautiful as they were before, have been overhauled to the max; rays of light penetrate tree leaves and hedgerows, cars glisten in the sun and the rain, textures look incredibly detailed, water looks real and everything just FEELS real. Draw distances have significantly improved. The world is more populated now, enhanced traffic and NPC modelling makes the world feel more alive, grassy areas have been improved so they they now appear to be fields rather than flat bits of dirt with the odd patch of grass. Overall the reworked world model appears more dynamic and real, as though it isn't a game at all.
Attention to detail is present in the game now more than ever; tides come in and out, car drive trains work as they would in real life and the first person screen tints if you are wearing sunglasses, which brings me onto the first person mode. GTA has historically been a third person game, which has always been fine but imagine a world that made you feel part of it. Switch to the first person viewpoint and everything changes, movement feels fluid and real, weapon detail is enhanced, the whole system just works.
The story-line and side missions all remain the same, there's nothing new there other than the same set of reworked visuals, you'll notice details you didn't before and the characters feel all the more real as a result; however the story is so good I happily played through it this second time.
The multiplayer again, remains more or less the same, only this time it feels sometimes like call of duty, as you switch into first person for deathmatch modes and the like, but again, it was done so well the first time round it was still as much fun to play, you can even bring your character over from you PS3 account.
The one main thing that Rockstar have stuck to is the deployment of free content downloads; there's no DLC and any extra content that's added for the multiplayer like cars and guns, carries over to the single player world. Meaning that your purchase of GTA V is a one time only event, you'll always be able to enjoy the full experience, it also means that the game world is always evolving, dropping in new cars to acquire or new weapons to play around with.
I'd like to say this is the part were I make the review sound more balanced and point out the flaws but there are literally no flaws in the game, none that I've found anyway, so I guess I'll just have to sound like crazed fan or Rockstar spokesperson, but that's okay with me. GTA V, the best game you can buy right now.

To be honest, GTA Online sucked so bad when it came out. But now I can say GTA Online, has become a great multiplayer aspect of this game. It has ironed out most of the bugs that it previously had, it has added many more missions and other DLC. Heists made a big impact on online as well, and I played on that for a while. It has established it's foundations, but it has more potential to be reached.
    What needs to be done:
    1. Free-mode events, was a good start, but you just need more things to do in free-mode, so constantly keep on adding more things.
    2. More missions, this needs to be done, especially ones for higher levels because I know the highest level mission is 81 and there are a lot of players higher than that, who want to earn RP faster.
    3. Add more Heists, this is an obvious one. I mean all the heists are enjoyable and I love replaying through them, 5 heists ain't enough.
    4. GTA 4 gamemodes, Cops and Crooks,Turf War,Deal Breaker,Hangman's NOOSE,Bomb Da Base II,Mafiya Work and Car Jack City

GTA 5 is the best game of 2014, the story is amazing, the world is huge, and the gameplay is great fun, the new first person mode makes it a must have even if you bought it on the ps3. The online is also great fun and is the best multiplayer game i have played.

Sometimes you will find yourself driving in highway through the desert listening to your favorite radio station, chasing UFOS, customizing your favorite car, enjoying a private dance in a nightclub, killing enemies or just might happen to be in a beach at night and met a cool guy playing some beautiful chords with his guitar. Its really big game.

Graphics, sound and presentation are superb.

The story mode starts really well, but gets repetitive after a while. Pace is a problem, since there are so many different plots, and the game don't let you choose where you will focus your attention. Its not easy to get involved in what is going on.

Some of the games controls are also problematic, specially when we talk about airplanes and helicopters, sometimes you will spend a good amount of time trying to not crash your plane while landing. Gun fights rely heavily on auto aim.

Online mode is pointless and is a stripped down version of the whole thing.

Despite pace problems with the main story, Trevor, Franklin and Michael are easily one of the most remarkable characters ever seen in a video game, even if you don't like some of them.

Rockstar games also deserves credits for creating truly new experience on PS4. The new graphics are more than just better textures. Its unbelievable how detailed this world is. PS4 is yet to see a better looking game.

    A classic.

Certainly one of the best games you will ever play. The story, side missions are extremely fun, and there are endless things you can do that you can play the game even after completing everything. The graphics are beautiful, the cars are great. If you are a fan of the series, you will love this game. Radio station commercials are extremely funny, pay attention to them ;)

    CONS:

-Probably the worst soundtrack I have seen in a game. The radio stations play the same boring songs most of the time. Metal and rock are almost non-existent.

-Disappearing vehicules... Now, this is a frustrating one. If you steal a vehicle, leave it and walk a bit to get something, most of the time, it will disappear. That left me in the middle of nowhere a lot of the times, and it is very frustrating.

-AI drivers are stupid, slow, and they don't know how to drive.

-Online play is no fun. Every one just kills each other for no reasons, there are bunch of kids yelling and saying stupid stuff with their mic, which is very annoying. Nobody is available to play in team and actually make missions or heists, unless you join a crew.

Other than that, this game is perfect!

This game taught me that GTA isn't about running over pedestrians, beating on old ladies on the sidewalk, going to strip clubs and watch subpar character models shake em, like what most "lets play" videos on Youtube led me to believe.
I barely scratched the surface of the game since I mostly did main story missions, but just from that part I thought it was a great experience.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Grand Theft Auto IV was about as much fun as watching The Godfather through a dirty coffee filter, and I had expected its successor to do much better. I must say it has, and it has a lot more color than the others. This game centers on three criminals hoping to make it big in the world of bank robberies. My favorite character was Michael, since he was the most relatable of the three. Franklin just came across as a sarcastic snob and Trevor, was well, Trevor. Michael seemed like an actual human being and responds to situations in the most fitting way possible. The story was pretty engaging, but it lost me a couple times in terms of pushing the story along. For example, one mission had me torturing a guy for intel. Afterwards, he said he would have just given it up. It left a question, why didn't he? And what was the information for anyway? All it said is that the other agency was going to get it first, so we could have been killing Miss Daisy for giving one of the agents a funny look at the intersection for all I knew. I also realized another plot hole. Couldn't the whole FIB thing have been avoided if Michael had just said screw you all and walked out the door? Trevor didn't seem to inconvenience him at all when he returned, even when he found out about his secret. His presence in Michael's life made as much of an impact as his long lost dog returned home after running away for being used as a weapon to smash yet another TV. After the campaign ended, the game got bland pretty quick. Doing side missions made as much difference to my experience as the fly that landed on my shoulder while I was driving down the highway, so I didn't even bother after about two of them. After the campaign, you pretty much don't have to do the stock market thing since I had more than enough money to buy whatever I wanted without having to worry about running low. Despite all this, I still had some fun in playing the game. Overall, the game was about as appealing to me as a cold pancake while holding back the syrup until I had eaten all the silverware first. The rules of this game mode is to see who can lock on the first which is boring as f u c k and really cheap. Races are pretty good. The community is an absolute cancer, you are guaranteed to meet; that 12 year old the brags about KD and money, Illegal alien, small mexican children, one old ass man that will try to troll you by following you around in passive mode in a car while constantly honking the same d a m n horn sound (and yes I am speaking from experience). With that gotten out of the way, this is one of the best looking games I've ever played. Considering the size of the game and everything in it, I can forgive the rare blurriness or pop-in. The game is a third (or first if you're NOT like me XD) person shooter with TONS of things to do. Activities include murdering people and fighting the police, skydiving, flying helicopters, stealing cars (it's in the freakin' title of the game!), racing, ATTEMPTING to break into Fort Zancudo and steal a tank, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. The story mode has plenty of missions to keep you occupied, accomplishing tons of different tasks to get you through the stories of three different characters. Franklin, a street hustler who says the N-word way too much (I know you're black and it's a bit more acceptable, but come on man!), Michael, a retired criminal thrown back into his job, and Trevor, who is... Trevor.
The controls are a little strange at first, but you should get the hang of them really quickly.

The classic signs of stardom in Los Santos, the likable and realism of the characters and the many hidden secrets behind this twisted city of poor decisions have made this one a winner. Rockstar does it again. The same basic concept of a 3rd person shooter and driving with twists of filthy humor but lighthearted (to an extent) content mixed in with conspiracy theories will make any gamer cringe and shake with pleasure. An amazing game doesn't come without its great artistic integrity. What makes this game seem even more worthwhile than the heinous crimes is its ability to keep gamers pulled in with its great scenery and color of the background which makes the little details stand out. However, even though GTAV is a great game that is providing me with lots of fun, i've gotten way more fun from previous GTA titles. GTAV is an undeniably an amazing technical achievement. It is just the map, the story and lack of content that lets it down. My favourite GTA game is GTA San Andreas from 2004. I'm still playing it 11 years on. The map was huge, extremely varied and well made, the story was brilliant fun and the gameplay and game world was brilliant fun. So when i heard GTAV was returning to San Andreas i got super excited. But then after i got my hands on the game and made my way around the map. It just isn't that varied. They say it is bigger than GTA San Andreas and several other game worlds combined. But it doesn't even feel bigger than GTA San Andreas. The original GTA San Andreas map is so so varied it never gets boring, even 11 years on. GTAV's map got boring pretty quickly. The story is real bad and just plain boring. It is knowehere near as deep as previous GTA games. Maybe because in GTAV you have 3characters to play which bounce off each other. So there really isn't much time or room for them to develop. My favourite GTA story was GTAIV and the character Niko Bellic by a long way. That story was amazing. Sadly GTAV is probably the worst story in the series. The missions simply aren't as fun or as varied as previous GTA games either. I found them a boring chore rather than fun. This time the missions involve planning and prepping ready for bigger heists. The planning and prepping is just plain dull and very basic like the story. The story seems far shorter than previous GTA games too. And there isn't as much to do in the gameworld compared to previous games. The graphics are very impressive, the game world is incredible, the sound is good, just a shame about the map, story, lack of content and characters. Expand

The missions in games like GTA 2 were much more funny or exciting. The graphics are good, but not special either. It is the quality of graphics yopu may expect from the new generation consoles. This game is very long, so if anybody tells you that it is short, please punch them. Then hand them the game, because they haven't played it if they think it's short. The story it's self is extremely long, not to mention the massive world and side quests. The first person machanics in my opinion were decent, but I'm not a huge first person shooter fan. It is very cool when your driving though. The gameplay is very smooth and not too hard, though I believe that Rockstar amped up the difficulty jus a little bit. The driving at first was bad, but I believe they've fixed it. The story is outstanding and the characters fell so real. You develop a love for each character. You fall in love with the whole world. I was sad when the credits rolled. Even though it took me over 2 weeks to beat this game, I still wanted more. I always turn my games back into gamestop and I decided to keep this one forever. That says something, and I've parted with some good games. This is probably the only game I felt comfortable paying full price for. You feel like it's worth every penny, even to the point to where it seems like a bargain. For parents, the game does have a lot of bad language, sexual references. Strip Clubs and Hookers are completely optional, but sexual references will still be in there. The worst thing is language. It is still a great game as is every Rockstar game. Buy it. Expand

I have spent hours, days, even weeks playing this game online. It is incredible fun. Using a virtual version of yourself to run riot around LS is an incredible feeling, and being able to team up with your friends is even better. The only let down, and not a fault of the game but rather the users of the game, is the ability to play heists. You can connect to a game, watch the cut scene and somebody will drop out, subsequently ending the mission. This doesn't alter how much I have enjoyed the game though at all.

I was skeptical about the online mode at first when playing on PS3, but the PS4 copes with it much better, as well as allowing twice the people in one session. Playing tennis or golf with an online friend is a great laugh, and even cruising in a friend's car is somewhat relaxing.

Technical stuff now. Graphics have been given a drastic overhaul, though it's only evident when you go back to PS3 after playing the PS4 version. Draw distances are better, weather effects are greatly improved and the cars and environments look hugely improved. The crack on Trevor's phone is a small detail I particularly like. Car interiors are not so pleasing on the eye, but it doesn't really detract from the overall experience of the game. At the moment, it is the game to end all games.

STORY: Not as good or engaging as the GTA 3 series or GTA 4. The fact you can rotate between three characters is really neat, but depersonalizes the experience and I don't feel as invested in three characters as I felt invested in Tommy, CJ, or Niko. Aside from that, it's what you've come to expect from a GTA game. Drugs, sex, money, violence.

GAMEPLAY: Nothing different here; the same ol' GTA formula, with a plethora of somewhat entertaining minigames. Things are upgraded, a version of the skill system is back in, but not as nitpicky and precise as getting fat with CJ in San Andreas. There's a nice attention to detail with how the world works, and does have a few improvements to the sometimes Stupid AI. The First-Person Mode is a gimmick feature. This isn't a FPS, and it doesn't handle like one.

GRAPHICS: A step up from the last generation, and almost on par with the PC version. The game looks really nice, but there is a noticeable drop in framerates on the console. Why they couldn't make it a 60fps release like many other re-released games (Dark Souls II) is beyond me.

ONLINE: Hit or miss. It was a fun gimmick to try out, but hearing a 13 year old cuss you out after he's mowed you over with his chrome-plated trumpet-blaring bulletproof Urban Assault Vehicle while you're trying to figure out how the hell to get money with a generic 9mm pistol isn't the best experience. Leveling is a grind of fetch quests based on some of the single-player missions and get boring after a while. I would only recommend Heists (the complicated, difficult missions online) with a crew you know; otherwise, you'll be frustrated when some punk screws it up and fails the mission. The load times are awful, and the connection issues are noticeable when you have to wait another minute to get out of your empty Lobby.

I'm not really sure where to begin with a game like Grand Theft Auto 5. To say it's a masterpiece is an understatement, if anything. To say it's a masterpiece is an understatement, if anything. The story is incredibly well written, the game looks absolutely amazing, and it plays like a dream. The world is incredibly open and immersive, with so many things to do, see, and experience, and it easily makes this one of the best games I think I have ever played.

I'd say that the biggest component of this game would easily be the single player story mode. Unlike other Grand Theft Auto games, where you would play a single character throughout the game mode, Grand Theft Auto V differs in the fact that you're able to play one of 3 different characters (An upper class ex-con by the name of Michael, a gang member living in the slums of Los Santos going by the name of Franklin, and a drug and gun runner by the name of Trevor) and you get to play through the story of how they killed a lot of people, made a lot of money, and made a lot of enemies. It sounds like a weird concept to start off with, but this helps to increase the immersivity immensely, as you've got several characters weaving around the story and changing from and because of it.

Another thing to help immerse the player even further is the amount of detail that was put into every part of the world. Not just in terms of graphics, but almost everything that comprises the world. Every single radio station has its specific set of hosts, every car has its specific way that it handles, and with the addition of the new First Person mechanic (which is a little iffy, in all honesty) adds a whole new level to that. You can see the radio station in the car, you can see your character pull up his cell phone whenever you use it, you can see your character flip the bird whilst driving down the highway, and it helps to further how much you are being put into this world. There are even phone numbers for various people within the world (celebrities, realtors, just about anyone and everyone) which you can actually call and interact with. You can go to a myriad of different websites and use them as though they were a real site (my personal favorite is the Republican Space Rangers website, which contains an actual 30 minute long cartoon). It's one thing to talk about how a game plays and whether or not you like the characters, but the amount of painstaking detail in this game alone is making me enjoy it even more.

Another good thing about the game is that you can see how your actions affect the world around you, in some way or another. There's a mission in the campaign where Michael ends up destroying a house, and the house will still be there, utterly destroyed. Missions where Franklin carries out hits for another main character in the game, Lester show effects in terms of news articles detailing how the person was recently found dead. Not only that, but these hits also affect the stock price of whichever company the person was in charge of. That's right, a freaking stock market! There's one for the single player mode, and another that's controlled real-time by members of Rockstar's Social Club.

Considering that the majority of people playing this game are more than likely to be young adults, I think it works perfectly. There are a lot of references to and parodies of events that are happening every day, all around us. Whether it's highlighting corruption in the higher ups of the police force (the FIB and the IAA doing unspeakable things to get more money for their departments) or a jab at the recent controversy with police and race relations (some cars have 'Obey and Survive' put on the side of their car, Franklin gets targeted by police more than his Caucasian counterparts, etc.). It provides an interesting, sometimes comedic and sometimes insanely dark look into the world around us. Sometimes it provides a more political statement (the race relations, drug legalization, so on) and other times it's the same old Grand Theft Auto, in which you steal cars, blow some stuff up, and go to a strip club.

To say that this game is a masterpiece is an understatement, and if I'm being completely honest it's without a doubt one of, if not THE best game I have ever played.

In case its your first time, youll be amazed by the irony, the free world and all the rest - buy it. But if you know the older games theres pretty much no way you will enjoy the game for more than, say 30 hrs of gameplay. Singeplayer: The Characters are in some way cool but more like CSI guy cool - superficial, dumb, stilted. You wont ever care for them, especially for Franklin, hes plain boring and pointless. The story is okay in the beginning and than turns to extreme stupidity. I had more than one wtf and facepalm moment. The world in general is as said ok but not as good as the predecessors. What happend to car physics. You can now carry as many guns as you want, but as the guns are just upgrades you can throw away 20 of 30 guns (not literally). Most of the map is pointless nothing and the city offers less than ever. Side activities often lead to new hights of boredom. Like riding around in a slow submarine for hours or doing the easiest "quick" time events in yoga.
Now to the multiplayer: You dont ever say anythhing but thats no problem as theres no story. Everyone looks almost the same and everyone will drive the same (the fastest) car. The missions are 90% kill/retrieve with alway the same cutscenes for certain questgivers. I personally disliked races a lot due to the horrible physics, graphics and the lack of speed. Even the bugatti feels very slow whilst the average traffic drives with nearly walking pace. Tdm and the story missions used to be my favourite aspects of the gta4 multiplayer. As said theres no story this time and due to bad mechanics tdm cant get quite as good. But this tdm is massive garbage. New players come to a game with 25% maxhealth and a pistol. On the other hand more advanced players can buy radar for ingame money and usually have the strongest rifles with unlimited ammo and additional silencers. WHAT THE **** this is in no way excuseable. The game is designed just around the idea of the player buying all the nice stuff ingame. But this is only possible through either playing this **** game for hundreds of hours or buying ingame money with real money. A good example for this that in free roam - usually the main playground in gta - you constantly burn money trough dying, destroing cars and shooting your ammo. Or simple clothing like a black shirt n trousers outfit priced at 50k. A 500k sharkcard is 10$. So 1$ for this one ulgy, pointless outfit out of like 30. A maximum tuned out top car costs about 2 mil. - thats 50$ for the 3,5 mil sharkcard. But hey you got 1,5 mil for other stuff. Likely the next update will just bring a better car wich you should buy then. Now lets make thia point more obvious on the military vehicles. You just bought the only attack heli in the game the "buzzard" for 1,75 mill (bout 25$), but its okay cause now youre the king in town... but the last update brought the 2 mill savage heli wich is much better. Now theres even a jet for 3 mil and an amored car for over 1 mil. So you DEFINATELY would have to buy atleast one 99$ 8mil shark card to get the full gaming content. RIDICULOUS pay to win right here. I wouldnt even play it agian if it were free to play. This used to be the best gaming series, now I appeal to everyone who made it this far to boycott R*s new politics and therefore this game

    1. The Story: I love the switching between the three major characters, Michael, Trever, And Franklin. Each one has their own unique story, and in making the story follow each character, all the missions are fun and varied (except for a few duds revolving around a pier) and I actually played a few over again to try and get all gold missions. The heists are by far the best part of the single player mode, and in multiplayer s well! The side missions are fun as well, and there's so many activities, like golfing or racing, that you can get lost in the game, which is something all good games should aim for. While not as good as Red Dead Redemptions story, this is definitely one of the best Open World stories in a while.

    2. The Setting: Los Santos is by far the most expansive and diverse world ever created in video games. The insane detail is put in every part of the map, and the game is just so beautifully realized. Having spent most of my life living in LA, its insane how much effort Rockstar went to create a video game form of it. From the depths of the ocean, with orcas and dolphins and kelp forests, to the awesome and realistic vehicles, to every part of the map, this setting is amazing. If GTA 4's Liberty City felt like a living city, GTA 5's Los Santos feels like a living WORLD. And the in game radio stations are fantastic as well.

    3. Multiplayer: While I see multiplayer as a bonus, many people skip single player altogether to go play with their buddies, which is understandable. Starting off, the much-improved character creation finally makes your characters just like how you want them, unlike its PS3 and 360 counterparts. Again, everything about it is excellent, the game challenges you to level up and unlock new guns, or you can just go and create havoc and start wars with friends or strangers, or skydive with twelve of tour friends and try to land in a swimming pool. The possibilities are endless. The heists are an amazing new addition, and the monthly updates are great. There are many connection issues that spoil multiplayer quite a bit, but its a fun experience nonetheless.

So that's my full review. Almost everything about the game is spot on and perfect, the first person setting is tons of fun, the single player is great, the multiplayer is great, Trevor is great, everything's great. If you don't have this, Get it. NOW!!!!!!

A huge improvement over its last gen counterpart. I would highly recommend you try it out if you found the game to be disappointing on last gen much like I did. Higher player count in GTA online and boosted textures/performance make for a more realised and achieved experience than the previous versions.

Gta 5 is a good game but it is extremely overrated. The fact this game is getting perfect scores is ridiculous. The story and characters are great but the gameplay is clunky. The graphics are decent but nothing special. The 3rd person shooting is mediocre at best.

The definitive version of what is quite possibly the greatest game ever made. It's worth reliving. [Feb 2015, p.58]

The best game on PS3 is now the best thing on PS4. A loving, comprehensive remaster of such quality, it's damn near as essential as oxygen. But it. Yesterday. [Jan 2015, p.91]

An excellent remake of an outstanding game that doesn't merely come with cosmetic improvements. What does it mean? You certainly need to have this piece at home, even if you have the original version. [Issue#248]
