    They really know how to take the fun out of racing. After playing it for several hours, the campaign is bare bones and mediocre, the licenses are incredibly strict with some being impossible. The driving HUD and options are unintuitive and poorly designed. There are better racing games out there than this one, don’t play it.     It feels like a mobile game: auto-drive, auto-brake, auto-steer, auto everything; requires a constant internet connection, even for singleplayer; infested with all sorts of microtransactions you can imagine, and even with some more on top of it. The game manages to both look dated, and still lag like hell. And those loading times are just ridiculous.

    Been a huge fan since GT2 but this game really doesn't do it for me.

    The low payouts, the forced cafe campaign, not being able to sell cars and buy the cars i really want.
    The always online, the unpredictable physics, lack of AI and proper races.
    You're only doing time trials and grinding to get the cars you want, the fun GT4 and GT2 used to bring me are completely sucked out of the game.

    GT 7 va muy bien en la PS4 y se ve muy bien y va muy fluido.
    Los gráficos mejoran bastante. increíble PS4 si que tiene potencia para correrlo tan bien y tan suave

    GT7 is a pure example of disgusting greediness. I play GT series since the first installment on PSX, I stopped after the 4th. I was hopping for GT to come back to it's original spirit.     What is the point of not being able to play solo mode when there isn't Internet connection or the servers are down? What a joke.

    So the patch 1.07 and 1.08 cut the earning by half? Seriously? And Kazunori Yamauchi said "I want to make GT7 a game in which you can enjoy a variety of cars lots of different ways, and if possible would like to try to avoid a situation where a player must mechanically keep replaying certain events over and over again." So why you cut earnings by half?

    The engine swapping system is outrageous: you need to get engines with their stupid roulette?
    The cars are nice looking on PS4 but the tracks are really bland and feel empty.
    I have to say it: Gran Turismo is dead, Forza is way better since many years now. I'm glad I can play it on Steam.

    Nice game really but making the game so that it’s always online and changing the credits lower and saying it’s not about the micro transactions BS I tell you . I enjoy the game but damn this way it becomes a grind even more then it all was

    Other than beautiful graphics, the predatory nature of forcing micro transactions to get the best cars is a huge turn off. The tracks to make money were nerfed making it even harder/impossible to grind for the best cars. This is a $60 game and that makes it even more ridiculous.

I could list more, such as car maintenance, and purchasing them using credits among others. Whilst multiplayer features going offline are understandable, singeplayer features being unavailable is a a mahore worry and for a game costing as much as it does, is unacceptable. Secondly, the credits system has been changed from previous entries in this series, to payout less per race. Combined with cars costing at time 8 to 10x what they would compared with previous titles makes it a grindy mess which is evidently due to the presence of microtransactions. Finally, the singplayer content is lacking when compared to GT2, 3, 4, 5, 6 at launch.… Expand

    Played though story. Gameplay is good, but everything else sucks. I hope to get to have fund and not grind for no reason. This could have been a f2p game, then it would be ok

    I thought I bought a racing game. Instead I bought a platform for mtx. Greed toke over at PD and Sony. Had all the versions in the past, but this is my last one, both the game and console.

    Where to begin? I would have given it a zero, but racing is racing. Until greed steps in and then it’s all for one and one for themselves. Polyphony just keeps getting worse. They’ve not changed since gt sport nor has the game play changed. Blah, I believe this is my last time with this franchise.

    Utter **** I picked it up at half price and still feel ripped off. A great sim with loads of cars locked behind an egregious paywall. Some cars I want I know I'll never see.

    They lowered some races prizes of races players grind.
    Always online for single player.
    To get some cars you have to grind and their reason is that they are expensive and difficult to get in real life so you can’t get them in the game unless you buy micro transactions.

THEY screwed up their own game with their own update 1.07 and now they have shutdown the game for an "extended period" during primetime and have the nerve to ask for our patience!     That's to say nothing that if the servers go down for any reason you are out of the entire single player experience as well. That's to say nothing about this so called car collector game with 1/3 the cars of the last gran turismo entry.

    Any one of these could be an overwhelming reason why you wouldn't want to buy this, but when you slap it all together this is actual insult to anyone who's played literally ANY GT title before this one.     Cafe is the worst idea ever, it's a bunch of nonsense conversations for old men who consider themselves "cultured" or whatever, it's certainly not for people who just want to enjoy the freedom of racing in fast cars. Because of Cafe you can not progress in the order you'd like. Tracks have to be unlocked over time. Custom races are possible, but earn you a ridiculously low amount of money. Also, I've had crashes on GT7, I've had freezes and framedrops, it's playable but it's not a first party 70 euro/60 dollar (ex tax) experience.

    But enough complaints: I'll give a solution too: get GT Sport. It's cheaper, it works better, there's still freedom there, the racing UI is the same, the tracks are the same but a few are missing (which aren't fun anymore since the updates anyway) and you'll hardly miss the few cars which aren't in it, since you won't be able to afford those for probably months anyway. And even if you do, you won't find any real use for them in GT7. GT Sport is in retrospect a slimmed down and improved version of GT7.    … Expand

Yes I could make my gr2 car slightly worse to use it on the 800 pp race but then I would be going up against **** cars that are miles behind me. They added a new track with a race where you can actually use gr1 cars holy **** but never mind because theSo many cars are unusable.     microtransactions on a free to play game are fine
    microtransactions on a budget game are bad
    microtransactions on a 70$ game are awful
    microtransactions that aren't even that macro make the whole thing a joke

    there's something good behind all this... but it's just not worth playing

As soon as all the reviews went live and the game released, suddenly after every race, you were reminded that you could buy credits for real money on the PSN store. Huh. I wonder why they didn't do that while all the major publications were reviewing it...that's one heck of a coincidence.

    3) If you get a ticket as a reward for completing an objective, when you go to cash it in, you're presented with a roulette wheel with 5 prizes on it, and it starts spinning. You instinctively believe that you have a 20% chance to win any of the prizes. NOPE. You always win the lowest prize. The game is fixed. Look, if you're only going to give me 2000 credits, that's fine, but don't tease me into thinking that I might win a lot more.

    4) Invitations. So, a random manufacturer will send you an invitation to buy a special vehicle for a limited time only. This is more pressure for you to spend real money on credits, otherwise you won't have time to grind out the money for this car before the invitation ends, because the race payouts are so low.

    5) Exactly 14 days after the game's release, patch 1.08 cut just about every race's winnings in half. You read that correctly...IN HALF. This was already a grindy game with fairly low payouts before the patch, and now they're just slapping you in the face while yelling "GO BUY CREDITS WITH REAL MONEY AT THE STORE, DUM-DUM!"

    This is too much. No matter how quality the game is, you get the distinct impression that these people are trying to milk you of every cent possible, and have no respect for your time. Well, up yours, Polyphony Digital. If you don't fix this, I will never buy another one of your products. These issues were all self-inflicted. Don't be so incredibly greedy (and creepy...allow offline single player campaign, please.)    … Expand

    So a new patch for the game came out !!! Yayroght and Playstation cut the money you get from the races in half so now its so much hard to do anything.... Well the game is meh.. sometimes it looks beautiful.. but really there is a lot of better games out there to play..
    Xboxs Forza different racing game but it's fun and beautiful! Really play that instead if you can.. I give it a 3/10...

    Looks like a upscaled PS3 game (Even on Ps5) Microtransactions. Always online. This game is n itself a good game (Even if the graphics is kind of outdated and the soundtrack is awful) But it is totally destroyed by microtransacions and the always online is just horrible.

    I loved Gran turismo before this game. If things dont change i will not buy Gran Turismo 8

    Single player cannot be played offline.
    Riddled with microtransactions.
    Updates keep breaking the game.
    Updates make it harder to win money for cars.
    Game has been under "server maintenece" for over 24 hours (3/18/22), stripping you from even playing single player modes.

    Requires Internet connection for most basic things and game is plagued with microtransactions. With the lastest update they even nerfed race payouts to so bad even obtaining a decent car takes hours. Sony and PD shows us how greedy they are.

    Crashed 2 times on my PS4. Had to play it on my brother's PS5. To be honest, the game is a huge disappointment even on next gen consoles.

    This still plays like a ps1 game with poor physics. The game view has the car look too small and far. The characters look like ps1 polygon models. Poor designs poor gameplay. Car is more like it keeps going straight and camera turns itself along racetrack. Even an old racing game Real Racing 3 is better than gt7.

With the car selection there's a suspicious lack of cars newer than 2017 and there's a super small collection of old Carson the game. It's supposed to be "the real driving simulator" but it lacks features even a more arcadey game like Forza horizon has. This game definitely feels like it should've come out before or alongside gt sport, not after. Can't play when you're offline, cars cost $40 irl dollars for "realism".     Very beautiful game for that 10 Points BUT for this price is the singleplayer part a shame.
    After 10 h 49 min and 59 sec and 1.882 km racing the story part is finished. And now? I dont need the multiplayer!

    In GTS im not finished with the singleplayer but i have there 2.879 km driven.

    Predatory microtransactions are predatory. And for them to patch-nerf the in-game payouts two weeks after release, and after most publications have finished reviews, feels an awful lot like a bait-and-switch tactic. Steer clear and please don't financially reward this kind of unscrupulous business practice!

    Awful game, you can't play without an internet connection, and the pay outs for races were bad when the game launched, and Sony updated the game to make them WORSE to push you into microtransactions. I've never felt more insulted by a company when I payed full price for a game. I've played free mobile games that treated me with more respect. Do not buy.

    DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. They purposely kept microtransactions hidden from reviewers to get favorable reviews then lowered most of the credit rewards so you need to grind for hours sometimes hundreds of hours just for a single car. I never would have bought this crap if I had known they would change the game like this.

    Gran Turismo 7 strikes the perfect balance between accessibility and realism in a way that caters to casual players and veterans. It's a gorgeous racing game with a surprisingly addictive gameplay loop thanks to the new Café and Menu Books systems. While some modes are certainly not as strong as others, Gran Turismo 7 checks almost all the boxes of what a driving simulator should be.
