    Let's just start with the fact that, whenever i started playing video games and God of War 2018 happened to be the leading way in video game making and basically most of the games would have been like    DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT LIKE THIS GAME AT ALL, BUT I'M GIVING IT 10/10, SO YOU CAN'T ACCUSE ME IN REVIEW BOMBING, SO FOR THAT REASON ALONE, PLEASE TAKE YOUR TIME AND READ WHY I DON'T LIKE IT.

    Let's just start with the fact that, whenever i started playing video games and God of War 2018 happened to be the leading way in video game making and basically most of the games would have been like God of War 2018, i would have choose different hobby. I'm dead serious, if that was the main appeal of gaming, i would have never even cared about video games, that's how much i dislike this game. Or maybe dislike is wrong word, maybe i just don't care about it at all and that would be okay, because there's thousands of games i don't care about, the problem is that God of War is treated by some people as something deep, amazing, innovative, masterpiece, one of the best games of all time, etc. I disagree strongy disagree with all these statements. It just isn't any of these thing, no matter how you look at this game.

    I have a strong feeling that people who hype this game up have never even played actual masterpieces like GTA 4 (2008), Resident Evil 4 (2005), Red Dead Redemption 1 and 2 (2010/2018). I can give examples even about "just good" games like for example Days Gone (2019), i enjoy that game about million times more and i think it's way, way more innovative than God of War 2018. Even Final Fantasy 7 Remake is better game than God of War 2018.

    So what's the deal? Why the hype? Is it just people following hype without even caring? With same logic Studios managed to create so big hype for Cyberbug2077, that even when it released as extremely buggy and broken mess, some people still refused to believe that it's bad and some to this day call Cyberpunk 2077 best game of all time, because they just can't handle reality after months (even years) of extreme hype.

    So what really is God of War 2018? It's a game with heavy focus on movie-like long cutscenes (not as bad as Uncharted 4, but still, a lot of cutscenes). Other aspect of this game is extremely simplistic, you just smash 100s of enemies with you EPIC axe. And of course there's boss fights with HUGE enemies, like in literally every modern game (not an issue by the way), just pointing out what this game is. So by that logics, where's Guardians of the Galaxy GOTY? It's basically the same game with guns as weapons. I'm asking that ironically, because none of these imo deserve to be called anything extraordinary, fun? Maybe. Nothing special tho. But here's the thing, these cutscene heavy, hack and slash games were never the reason why i started to play video games. Never. So to put it short, my main issue isn't the fact that these games exist, my issue is that God of War 2018 out of all these games is treated as something extraordinary, better than all the others, not even in same genre, people in general call it best game of all time. That is my issue. In my opinion there are so many better games, way deeper, way more gameplay and less cutscenes and to me it feels like, most of these God of War fans don't even know about these games.     The story is simply astonishing and the plot is well told. Nevertheless, the boss fightings are all similar to each other and some glitches on PS4 made me think that 10 is not the right score for this game. Well done Santa Monica! Let's wait for the sequel now.

    One of the greatest games of all time. Innovative combat, excellent story, awesome, hectic and engaging boss fights. Kratos and son Atreus make an outstanding father and son example in video games.

    Without a doubt, it is the best game I have ever played. You don't have to like action and fighting games to enjoy this masterpiece. Recommended in all aspects: a story of 10, perfect durability expandable with secondary missions, and non-stop emotions with its deep story. In short, the perfect game.

    play with axe is so entertaining. story perfect. first boss fight is AWESOME, but it haveincapable iconic boss fights. you wait iconic boss fight but it didnt comeing. Graphics are so good. perfect gameplay with axe and so many differnent enemy. kratos and atreus is perfect duo. if atreus not exist we didnt understand who kratos is.

    A very enjoyable game. The story is exciting making you think most of the time. Even though a lot of missing information is present and we do not know how Kratos went from greek to norse mythology, how his wife died and etc... The ending itself wasn't that great but then i noticed there is another ending which gives us the sequel. Gotta try it out!

    The story is immense and so fulfilling right to the end. The characters you meet along the way are some of the best branched out characters in modern gaming. Their own personal stories intertwining with each other.

    When a God of War game was announced I was very skeptical at first. Reviving a dead franchise is very risky and very hard, there are many expectations and many challenges.
    How can you possibly continue a character that whole idea is to kill stuff mercilessly? How can you improve a universe that has virtually been destroyed?

    Great game with amazing gameplay and graphics. Since this was my first God of War i thought i would be very disconnected with the story but that wasnt the case - only thing was that the ending was a bit confusing for me. Wouldve liked more bosses though and the boy was a bit annyoing.

    Un des rare jeu ou les combats sont tellement bien fait qu'on cherche vraiment à se battre au lieu d'éviter pour ne pas perdre de temps.
    Histoire prenante et très bon duo entre Kratos et Atreus.
    Les éléments concernant la mythologie Nordique sont bien intégrés et très intéressants.

    boi. Its a good game indeed, the story and graphics are brilliant but i don`t get why most fans think that its the only god of war game with good story. The whole francize is a masterpiece and it shouldn`t be praised just for that game.

    I really like this game. I see why it won goty, but I still feel red dead should’ve. This game has such repetitive combat and enemies. The game looks amazing and the story is also great. There are SO many puzzles. And some of them are very, very hard. I like puzzles, but I wish they made them a bit easier and more related to the story

    The Atreus addition was just the right sensible touch.
    Playing it was a wonderful experience, could not be happier.

    One of the best games i've experienced in the last 10 years and perhaps top 5 in my 30 year gaming career.

    Gameplay, Story, Graphics, very well put together. The single shot camera throughout the game really grew on me, and brought the experience together in a unique way. Only thing I could say negatively is, I wish the gear was a deeper system. There was nothing wrong with it all    One of the best games i've experienced in the last 10 years and perhaps top 5 in my 30 year gaming career.

    Only thing I could say negatively is, I wish the gear was a deeper system. There was nothing wrong with it all all. But personally I like more complicated gear systems. This was a very streamlined system because they certainly wanted this to not be a focus of this particular game. So I cant in good faith hold that against its score from me.

    10/10, an experience that shows the best of the PS4 Generation of games.    … Expand

    Los valores de producción son inmensos, pero a pesar de ello me parece un juego un poco sobrevalorado. El control de kratos es tosco y la navegación por el mundo es un engorro con mucho backtracking, habrá quien eso le guste pero a mi me aburre profundamente. Gráficamente es un portento y la banda sonora es muy buena. La historia cumple.

    I haven’t finished it yet, but I’m really enjoying this game. I was frustrated initially, simply because the combat mechanics took some getting used to. It feels like there is plenty to discover and explore even though it isn’t “open world” in the technical sense. The banter between the dwarves is very entertaining. This isn’t a game I feel compelled to keep playing to further the story,I haven’t finished it yet, but I’m really enjoying this game. I was frustrated initially, simply because the combat mechanics took some getting used to. It feels like there is plenty to discover and explore even though it isn’t “open world” in the technical sense. The banter between the dwarves is very entertaining. This isn’t a game I feel compelled to keep playing to further the story, but it is very enjoyable. I feel that I am out of the loop with this being my first GoW game, and I’ve had to do some reading on the Internet to get some history to feel like I have some understanding.     This game made me buy a playstation, and it gave me a pleasant 3 months, It was the best game I've played in a long time, then I played a lot of games, but none of them took its place, it's ready to be played on the pc side, definitely get it and finish it.
