I loved the gameplay as much I loved the Lore.
A Final Fantasy game able to gives me a true sense of adventure, and a really charismatic villain, with a deep lore and a spectacular graphics and OST.
    Pure gorgeousness

One of the best Final Fantasy games out there. Graphics are awesome, music is legendary and the story is captivating. There are a couple of points I did not like about the game, but most important one is that you feel the result of the chaotic development. Sometimes when advancing into the story, you are just like “oh wait, what happened ?”.

Final Fantasy 15 is an open world gaming masterpiece.
Vast, rich, beautiful to look at and beautiful to play, thanks to its majestic atmosphere, exceptionally well-developed characters (I love Ignis), and a very emotional story.
The best game produced by Square Enix in the PS4 era, and certainly one of the best Final Fantasy games

The graphics are stunning, with detailed character models, gorgeous landscapes, and breathtaking environments that are sure to take your breath away. The storyline is engaging, emotional, and filled with twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.

What sets the Royal Edition apart from the original release is the additional content, including new areas to explore, new side quests to complete, and new bosses to defeat. The Royal Pack DLC also adds new features and enhancements, such as a first-person mode and a boat that can be used to explore new areas.

The combat system is fluid, dynamic, and offers a wide variety of gameplay options, allowing players to customize their playstyle and create unique battle strategies. The music is also a standout feature, with a beautiful and memorable soundtrack that perfectly complements the game's epic moments.

Overall, Final Fantasy XV: Royal Edition is an outstanding game that combines stunning visuals, a compelling storyline, and engaging gameplay to deliver an unforgettable experience. With its additional content and enhancements, it's the definitive version of the game and a must-play for any RPG fan. I give Final Fantasy XV: Royal Edition a perfect score of 10/10.

Final Fantasy XV has such a unique approach in the series. Its focus on friendship and the characters interactions give a extra flavour to the game.

Playing XV at launch was a very sad experience, so much potential wasted. Royal Edition turns what was one of the games that made me the most sad, into one of my favorite Final Fantasy games. If you already enjoy this game, you’ll love Final Fantasy XVI.

The only edition of the game that you should buy, including all the listed DLC and Additional Content bundled into one package.

FFXV is one of the most troubled titles in the franchise, even more so than FFXIII, and it's largely due to it's horrific attempts at marketing. For whatever reason, Square Enix elected to make a media medley of different resources to watch, read, and play in order to understand the full story. A book, a movie and the game itself all are, technically, required to understand the premise of the game's lore in and of itself. The game even goes so far as to use some scenes cut directly from the movie, or vice versa.

What's more tragic than the poor attempt to create a franchise within a franchise was the fact that, beneath the clearly unfinished mess that was the game itself, it's actually very fun to play. The character's and cast manage to hold their own, come across as charming and capable of growth; managing to do so without becoming grating even to the last moments of the game is something special.

However beyond our cast of protagonists the world is strangely static and bleak, boring even. Once your hunts are done and you have concluded the story, there is little reason to continue enjoying Final Fantasy XV, and I think that's a shame. Without mentioning the amount of cut content intended to further explain the story, leaving gaps in the narrative of even our main cast, and you can see why this game has generally been forgotten over time.

If you have been looking for an excuse to get into Final Fantasy for the first time, this isn't the worst place to start, but it's certainly not the best.

We know that Final Fantasy XV: Royal Edition won't be the definitive edition of the game, since more DLC is scheduled. This is the most complete and most beautiful edition of the game thus far, but it's asking you to buy into a very good but still flawed experience that is slowly but surely catching up. If you truly can't wait until the real complete edition surfaces, you'll have a decent experience at the very least. Otherwise, pass on this title and wait another year. The mammoth project that is FFXV will eventually come to a satisfying conclusion.

Final Fantasy XV is a must play for this end of the year. It features a concise narrative storyline but a massive amount of side quests in a huge open world to elevate the game's longevity beyond a hundred hours.

Gradual improvements mean FFXV is in slightly better shape than it was when it launched in December 2016, but it'll take more than a few additional cutscenes to make its story feel complete. [May 2018, p.96]
