    Like the windows edition, this also contains all the DLC and QoL updates, so if you have yet to jump into FFXV yet now is the time to do so.

    This might be a down to people who have bought the vanilla version, but nonetheless, the additional content we have received is far good enough. I am certainly satisfied and I cannot wait for more!

    After many similar openworld games that I've played over these years, Final Fantasy XV manages to create a convincing openworld game on the roadtrip theme for the first time. The action gameplay reminded me a lot of Nier Automata, while the world to explore in detail reminded me of Red Dead Redemption 2. Especially in the beautiful dungeons, and in the spontaneous reactions of the protagonists.
    The story is surprisingly rich, thanks to its lore. And the characters are extremely characterized, among which I loved Ignis and the villain Ardyn.
    Outstanding OST and top-notch graphics round off a pretty incredible package of its kind.

    This is the first Final Fantasy that has managed to give me strong emotions since the time of the legendary Final Fantasy IX, and this was already an extraordinary achievement.
    For all these reasons, I can very gladly recommend this FF15.    … Expand

    This was my second Final Fantasy game. It ended up being my favorite out of all the games I've played in my life so far. It's just so indescribably great to me. I feel that it'd be nearly impossible to NOT get attached to the characters and the bond between them. They're a wonderful group. The story is very engaging, and the live battle system was much more fun than I ever thought it'd be!This was my second Final Fantasy game. I felt so many emotions. Of course, it wasn't a flawless game. The last parts of the game felt more rushed, but it was a nice experience nonetheless. to me, it was very perfect in its own way. There was so much happiness. I laughed a lot, and as an easy crier, I cried a lot. This game is truly something I hope to treasure for awhile if not forever.     Дождался PC версии с полной озвучкой, но......... мой комп её еле тянул на низких настройках, а это мучение. Решил забить.
    Но недавно узнал, что на PS4 вышла бесплатная локализация! Ура! Купил Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition за 1000 рублей и не прогадал!
    Игра оказалась просто великолепной!
    Первые 6-7 глав это открытый мир, где ты тупо прокачиваешься. Сюжет простаивает. Но зато это реально открытый мир с множеством разнообразных заданий, по которому интересно путешествовать.
    Остальные главы сугубо линейные и сюжетные, может это спойлер, но они все проходятся часов за 6.
    Кстати советую тем, кто не играл, прокачаться в первых семи главах уровня хотя бы до 45го, иначе будет сложно играть в конце.
    Сюжет в игре... В принципе мне понравился сюжет. Он чисто японский. (Понимайте, как хотите). Я поглядел также невероятно красивый анимационный фильм "Кингсглейв: Последняя фантазия XV", который рассказывает историю "Королевских Глеф", а так же падения Люциса и гибели короля Региса Люциса Кэлума CXIII. Опять таки если кто не видел, поглядите после либо до прохождения игры, а не во время как я.
    Скажу так же о графике, она великолепна. Иногда тормозит анимация героев, но в принципе очень приятная картинка. К стати мне открытый мир планеты Эос, визуально, напомнил чем то Death Stranding.
    Ну, герои типичные анимешно-японские. Очень харизматичные. За них переживаешь им сочувствуешь. А это главное в художественном произведении.
    Не однозначной для меня осталась боевая система. Я, зачастую, не понимал где мой герой находится. Маловато приёмов, их всего два, это атака мечем и телепортацией. Позднее появляется кольцо Люцисов, но это уже самый конец. В принципе оружия очень много, но пользоваться всю игру вы будете двумя тремя видами.
    Теперь противники они многочисленны, от 200 метровых великанов до каких то блох под ногами. Но разновидностей, визуально, всего штук 10. Маловато.
    Кстати о локализации. Она очень добротная, но. Я заметил странность в анимации. У всех персонажей русская речь как то синхронизируется с движением губ. А вот у главного квартета протагонистов, какой то ужас. Они часто говорят с закрытыми ртами, либо наоборот анимация есть, а речи нет. О синхронизации и думать нечего. Это, конечно, ерунда, но очень странно.
    А в целом повторю, игра очень затягивает. Кто ещё не прошел, советую на консоли с полной локализацией.
    Тем паче, что Final Fantasy VII Remake вышла пока совсем без перевода.    … Expand

    this version includes all the dlcs and extra episodes, although visually it is a bit worse than in the windows version the difference is minimal and can not be appreciated

    This is a great value if you don't bought the original game, because it contains all of the updates and the DLCs. The gameplay, music and design is so amazing and finally the story is definitely a top natch.

    Simply gorgeous game.
    Wonderful and exceptionally rich.
    Beautiful gameplay, a unique and original story, and a beautiful world to be explored.

    Probably the best jrpg action game I've ever played.

    This game finally reach it's best with this Royal Edition. It's a must. A great adventure with a great storyline and great mechanics. I like so much the fact that contents is still in develpoment and 2019 will bring many dlc's.

    This is the definitiv FF15 experience the main character cast is one of the most human ones in gaming, they are total relatable in their emotions and struggles and you can easily understand what everyone is going trough. Yoko Shimomura known from the Kingdom Hearts series outdid herself with some of her best Soundtracks she ever created in this game. DLC, it really ought to just be part of the main game, we waited 10 bloody years for this to come out and another 2 odd years for the DLC episodes -half of which were cancelled anyway-, why do we have to pay for the same game twice through DLC add-ons which reveal crucial parts of the story?

    Also, I don't care if it sounds a bit SJW-esque, but, it could have benefited from a bit of diversity, even though the choco-bros are all fantastic characters, I can't help but wonder why they all had to be conventionally attractive, young pretty-boys?

    *spoiler* Ignis's blindness was a nice inclusion though since few games include disability in an illuminating way, but Ignis in the story was handled quite well after he lost his sight!- *end spoiler*

    Still, final fantasy has some pretty weird characters in previous installments (a talking ancient animal-creature -Red XIII in FF7, Fran the rabbit woman in FF12, whatever Cait Sith is supposed to be ...-) I find it a bit of a missed opportunity not to include different colours, shapes, sexes, maybe even SPECIES in the FF15 crew, especially since FF13 included Sazh (a black man) as a well developed playable character.

    What FF15 does well, it does EXTREMELY well, stunning visuals, music, storytelling, a huge complex world to explore, silly mini games ... but it lags behind in some areas, particularly representing any kind of diversity which is a shame since previous endeavours (Barret and Sazh for example) showed that black characters are much beloved in the franchise. A friend of mine agreed when we discussed the lack of diversity, as a white woman it doesn't personally affect me, but I thought of HER and she agreed that it was disappointing that after 15 games, FF hasn't highlighted any beautiful black women!!!    … Expand

The negative part of this game was MAYBE the lack of storyline (i saw in it great potential) and DEFNITELY Square Enix milking profits with the launching multiple DLC's to complete the game (they solved this with royal edition but meh that was dishonest I think).

    The positives? One of the greatest soundtracks imo. I loved fighting in this game and really enjoyed the battle system (despite the messy camera sometimes). The story (with DLC's) I guess it is sufficient but something that has space for improvement in the next FF game. Overall a good game. Excited for the next releases in this franchise :)    … Expand

    I didn't play the normal version. This royal edition is just simply "perfect". There are so many things to do both in the pre- and post-endgame. I finished the game in 80 hours, trying to do all side quests before fighting the last boss in the story. Yet, post-endgame has many more dungeons to crawl and many things to do. The fighting system is a lot of fun. I think the downside is theI didn't play the normal version. This royal edition is just simply "perfect". There are so many things to do both in the pre- and post-endgame. I finished the game in 80 hours, trying to do all side quests before fighting the last boss in the story. Yet, post-endgame has many more dungeons to crawl and many things to do. The fighting system is a lot of fun. I think the downside is the magic crafting system, but I can live with that.     I got this game within the PS Plus Collection, it plays wonderfully on PS5, and I am having so much fun. For someone like me that didn't play the original this is an excellent game.

    really liked it a lot. the first final fantasy I played was 7 remake on ps plus and i enjoyed the story but not the gameplay but I really liked the open world gameplay of 15 and it definitely sold on the series and will eventually pick up 16 when its on sale or they pack all the dlc after a year or something. What really made me mad and probably stops me from getting 16 on day on is thereally liked it a lot. the first final fantasy I played was 7 remake on ps plus and i enjoyed the story but not the gameplay but I really liked the open world gameplay of 15 and it definitely sold on the series and will eventually pick up 16 when its on sale or they pack all the dlc after a year or something. What really made me mad and probably stops me from getting 16 on day on is the final chapter (14) which had 37 different boss fights almost quit the game but came back and did it on easy just for that chapter. The dlcs were great. enjoyed those a lot more than I though and the best part was just free roaming and doing side missions which brought it up to a 8 for me… Expand

    A mesmerizing game with a stunning world, a good combat system, an excellent soundtrack, an interesting partner system and many ingenious Japanese mechanics. Side quests leave much to be desired, the plot is not bad, but for its disclosure you need to go through the villain and your partners.

    Игра просто бомба, пусть в меня не кидают камни фанаты финалки, но хотелось бы что-то подобное в следующей. С огромным удовольствием проходил местные данжи и следил за сюжетом. Правда финальный бой меня немного огорчил сложностью, но это скорее из-за того, что    Не играл ни в одну последнюю фантазию до этой.     This is my 2nd final fantasy game, FF7 remake was first, but this game is really fun and soundtrack is awesome. The menu takes time to get used to but its worthwhile once you learn the controls and all the elements and weapons, etc. I downloaded this game for free on Playstation + and its absolutely worth it. Not my favorite final fantasy game though.

    After having reach the ending credits, I've started to cry.
    Because I'm started to be heavily connected to Noctis and his friends.
    And this is that kind of sentiment that only a masterpiece game can truly give me when I'm playing.

    Ich war eigentlich nicht der große Fan von FF15, habe es mir zweimal gekauft. Beim ersten Mal zum Release habe ich es nicht geschafft es durchzuspielen, da mir das Kampfsystem nicht gefallen hat.
    Als die RE rauskam habe ich es mir nochmal im Sale gekauft. Ich meine, dass ich es für 29,99€ gekauft habe. Leider habe ich es im Jahr 2020 wieder nicht geschafft es durchzuspielen. Nun habe ich    Ich war eigentlich nicht der große Fan von FF15, habe es mir zweimal gekauft. Beim ersten Mal zum Release habe ich es nicht geschafft es durchzuspielen, da mir das Kampfsystem nicht gefallen hat.
    Als die RE rauskam habe ich es mir nochmal im Sale gekauft. Ich meine, dass ich es für 29,99€ gekauft habe. Leider habe ich es im Jahr 2020 wieder nicht geschafft es durchzuspielen. Nun habe ich mir vor zwei Wochen eine PS5 gekauft und dort habe ich es nun zum dritten Mal in Angriff genommen und endlich die Hauptstory (nicht die DLCs) durchgespielt. Zum Ende wurde es doch sehr linear und ein bisschen "öde". Trotzdem war es ein gutes Spiel.

    The world is massive, and the graphics are top notch. It's all very creative, including the various animals and monsters. The main story is fairly good, if somewhat confusing.     There is very little gear in the game, and what gear there is doesn't really make a huge difference anyway.

    Exploration, apart from the scenery, is unrewarding. There is little to discover. Side quests are uninspiring - mostly lame FedEx-style quests.

    The game has a somewhat strange structure. It begins in a large open world, but then becomes progressively more linear and restrictive. It's a strange choice.

    The game also gets more and more tedious. The last few chapters were a real chore tp get through, with endless running around and endless fight after fight. And the game feels more and more rushed, with the quality of the story and the world going downhill.

    I will skip the DLCs, and doubt I will play more Final Fantasy games, but it was a somewhat interesting experience.    … Expand

    The story is confusing, all of the side quests are painful fetch quests with no story, empty world, half of the game is a linear corridor, the dlcs are separate games, combat is chaotic. The main protagonists and interactions between them is what makes this game acceptable.

Those items can not be removed and permanently clog your inventory. The menus are no fun to navigate and the worst is, you are expected to utilize something like 8 different weapon and 4 magic categories and only have 4 usable slots available. So adapting to different encounters requires pausing the game and navigating through cumbersome menu screens. And then the gind ... seriously, at one point you would be expected to grind something like 24 hours, for 2 items you don't need, by WATCHING, not playing, a totally mind numbing betting "game" over and over ...

    Graphically it's nice, the warping in fights and generally the first 2/3 of the game offer many missions and challenges. Especially the dungeons are full of nice little dialogues. But 2 of your 3 "friends" have an annoying Know_it_all attitude, wheres the main protagonist hardly does anything else then sulk.

    The story is plain confusing and does not make much sense and character development hardly exists. Not even the main atagonist is really explained. A lot of this is because of the ripped content. Some of it you can access be leaving the game at the right point and jumping into the episodes. It's ok for the open world part, but against the end it really spirales down into a depressing and quite unsatisfying end. And then there is the issue of total overleveling and that just by daring to do a few side missions. Ofcourse I did all I could before the end. In result, for the last third of the game I was about at double the levels I should have been ... nihilating any kind of challenge in an already far to easy game.

    With all the dlc included, FF XV is a lot less unfinished than what it was at launch. Unfortunately this can't fix the empty open world, the one dimensional characters and the poor writing. Thankfully this game offers great visuals and decent combat which keeps the experience enjoyable for the most part.

    I’d have given the game a 9 if it wasn’t for the horrendous camera movement during combat. Hopefully they solve this issue in FFVII Remake.

    Trop de chose à redire autrement, l'histoire écrite avec le c*l, personnages pas attachants, gameplay brouillon qui devient chaotique face aux ennemis aériens ou nombreux.     Les DLC sans réel intérêt (je n'ai fait que ceux inclus dans le Royal, pas envie de payer 5 euros pour Ardyn), le seul que je vois est celui de combler quelques lacunes du scénario original (en dehors de Gladiolus complètement inutile) mais puisqu'ils sont essentiels pour comprendre l'histoire pourquoi ne pas les avoir inclus dans le jeu??? Gameplay qui se veut différent du jeu mais laborieux, et pas très fun.

    What happened to Square Enix? They used to put so much effort into they're games. FFXV is one of the most boring and bland games I have ever played. The characters were so uninteresting. Remember characters like Red XIII from FF7 or Vivi from FF9. They were characters that everyone loved and cherished. I didn't care about the characters from FFXV one bit. Pull you're S#!T together Square Enix.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. You see FF15 skips the prologue because Square decided to make it a movie, so you begin the game not knowing what is going on. You are thrown in this open world that is empty. There are barely any NPC's, only 1 town and several gas stations. That is all there is for the majority of the game.

    You go from gas station to gas station doing busy work. You pick a hunt, go kill the random monster then to the next gas station. Finally you get to the one and only town in the game, a really tiny town. There for the first time you hear about what happened to your hometown, the events of the movie, and they don't show you even a single cut-scene, just some radio station talking about it and a piece of paper.

    Then some aid from Noctis' father appears and tells you need to go raid these 8 temples to get some swords in order to beat the bad guy. Now instead of gas station to gas station picking hunts now you go from temple to temple. These temples are dark, linear and practically as dull and empty as the open world itself. After like 30 hours playing this shtty game you finally get all the swords. Then you get on a boat to a city, then a train and then a time skip to the end of the game.

    This was the vanilla experience but then there is Royal with a bunch of Dlc. You had to wait like a year for the Ardyn Dlc to finally get to know who the fck the main baddy of the game even was... Crazy right? It was that bad. The rest of the Dlc are all disconnected from the game and focus on the other 3 characters accompanying Noctis. It all take place during the time skip of the main game.

    Overall combat is trash press one button win. And I'm not exaggerating when I say you cannot lose in this game. Because if you do the game allows you to use one of your 99 potions or even call a summon to finish the fight for you 99% of the time. Characters are trash with no depth. Story is absolute trash and barely told within the game. FF15 was not a good game. Easily one of the worst games in the series.    … Expand

Finally, years after release I picked up FFXV and 76 hours of playtime later finished the game. 76 hours of exploring, getting to know my guys, driving around and generally having an awesome roadtrip. I loved it and it took me 76 hours! 76 hours to realise I had absolutely no idea what was going on and I'd apparently missed the entire story!

    So I started New Game Plus and I went through it with a fine tooth comb. I literally turned the game upside down and shook it till every last little bit dropped out. I even managed to get a Cactuar in the shot for a Prompto Selfie. That's how much time I sank in to it this. So now I'm totalling about 200 hours, a Platinum Trophy and roughly another 20 hours on Reddit. I still didn't have the full story!

    The way this game works is that you are you. For the majority of the time, if it doesn't happen around you, you don't get to know about it. You only hear about it and read about it, or deal with the fallout from it. FFXV is certainly one hell of a jigsaw to piece together and I must admit I loved doing it.

    Luckily for me the Royal Edition gives you the DLC. Each brings a unique style of gameplay and more importantly another piece of the jigsaw. Not to mention a boss on each which I expect has caused a few thrown controllers and possibly even a couple of TV replacements. Just for the for the record you don't mess with Ignis, he's not just the cook!

    I can definitely understand the frustrations from the Day One edition and even later versions. I'm lucky, FFXIII made me steer clear of the franchise entirely for years. So by the looks of it with all the extra content in the Royal Edition I got to explore the world thoroughly, collecting every last bit of the Datalog to work out what actually happened. Even then I got my ass handed to me by Omega, until I awakened the True Power of Kings and became part of the 0.7% to take it down.

    FFXV is an amazing game but it does have it's flaws, even at the end of development. As soon as you perform a Warp Strike you've broken the game and combat becomes too easy. It would have been nicer to have more customisation on the party, especially for the weapons. Not to mention quick swap between party members in combat so you could use them properly.

    Which brings me to Comrades. If only they had put the weapon system from Comrades into the main game! I wasn't going to play it originally as it was multiplayer and not what I wanted. But it turns out it was so broken that getting multiplayer matches is impossible and you actually use AI instead. Comrades is a brilliant insight into the story of FFXV revolving around what happens when your party beggars off from the NPC's lives, leaving them all up the creek. Shame about the load screens but getting to see the world from a new perspective and pick up more story is well worth doing. Tip: If you talk to Vyv Dorden start a new game and thank me later, save yourself!

    Summing up, FFXV Royal Edition has a massive open world and a beautifully tragic story (detective work required). I loved my time with Noctis, Ignis, Gladiolus and Prompto and I've the photos to look back on fondly. This game contains possibly the best party interactions in ANY game to date either in the heat of combat or bored on a long car journey. If you haven't played it yet, give it whirl. I'm truly glad I finally did.

    Even after all this remember you've another DLC and Kingsglaive to watch to fill in more blanks. Lastly as far as villains go Ardyn is going to be a tough act to follow, my new FF favourite.    … Expand

    Fantastic game in his "Royal Edition", the story is rotten with plot holes but the emotional impact kinda manage to save the whole thing. Yoko Shimomura gives us one of the most beautiful scores in video games.

Концовка выбивает душу, отдельно лайк за Ардина Люциса Кэлума, он - прекрасен, украшение игры. Что до DLC - эпизод Промпто это чистый проходняк, эпизод Гладиолус уже получше, эпизод Игнис очень даже, а эпизод Ардин - вау. В общем на игру почти со всеми доп. квестами и DLC ушло 70+ часов.     The animation and art design are great as well. This is the first game that have the hack and slash gameplay style, and I'm glad about it.

    The combat mechanic have no hard-lock target when fighting and the summoning mechanics is like playing gambling, Only one or 2 can be summoning continuously.

    The first half of the game focused more on the open world and the characters, while the second half of the game focused more on the story, and the story itself is good in my opinion; it's not perfect, but it had some amazing moments and the last chapter in particular is my favorite part of the game by far. Also, the DLCs gave the story and the characters more depth.
    The characters are awesome as a group and the main antagonist is arguably my favorite antagonist in the series.
    The gameplay is nice; the combat system isn't very deep, but it feels satisfying and it looks really cool. Also, the ability to switch characters made it better.
    The music is absolutely phenomenal! It's so good, it exceeded my expectations and it's probably my favorite in the entire series.
    The CGI cutscenes are jaw-dropping and the graphics are breathtaking! Final Fantasy XV came out 4 years ago and it's still one of the best looking Open World games I've ever played.
    Like most videogames though, Final Fantasy XV has flaws... noticeable flaws.
    The first half of the game is not engaging at all, while the second half of the game is way too linear; the structure feels very inconsistent.
    The gameplay, while fun, it's a bit too easy in my opinion.
    Lastly, the open world is just... empty and dull for the most part.

    + Enjoyable gameplay
    + Fantastic music and visuals

    - Inconsistent pacing

    I felt love for the protagonists of the story, for the tragedies passed by Noctis and Luna.     A varied and rich gameplay, and which I find quite underrated, given how it contains inspiration from games like Zelda and Chrono Trigger.

    In my personal top 5 of the best PS4 games ever played.
    Absolutely recommended, especially if you love action rpg games and explore gorgeous worlds.

    Interesting and fantastic game undoubtedly.
    It certainly is very different from what one might be looking for compared to old turn-based Final Fantasy. But despite this it still manages to capture the player thanks to the atmosphere and dynamic gameplay and above all a lot of fun to master.
    If you love Action games, you should definitely play this too, imho.

    We know that Final Fantasy XV: Royal Edition won't be the definitive edition of the game, since more DLC is scheduled. This is the most complete and most beautiful edition of the game thus far, but it's asking you to buy into a very good but still flawed experience that is slowly but surely catching up. If you truly can't wait until the real complete edition surfaces, you'll have a decent experience at the very least. Otherwise, pass on this title and wait another year. The mammoth project that is FFXV will eventually come to a satisfying conclusion.

    Final Fantasy XV is a must play for this end of the year. It features a concise narrative storyline but a massive amount of side quests in a huge open world to elevate the game's longevity beyond a hundred hours.
