Feb 28, 2019Fimbul offers a compelling narrative and a beautiful world, but it is hindered by poor controls and a loosely weighted multiple choice system.

Feb 28, 2019I think I just really wanted Fimbul to prove it had more to offer. It’s not a must play, but it’s a game that, if presented to you as a player or spectator, is worth charging through.

Mar 11, 2019Although Fimbul has a great universe to explore and some fun gameplay elements, it still fails as a package. The gameplay is good but short, the story is not so appealing, combat is repetitive and the game suffers from tons of technical issues, and the only ones who will probably enjoy Fimbul are the hardcore fans of Scandinavian myths.

Feb 28, 2019A nice looking adventure, Fimbul is ultimately a bit of a hollow and forgettable experience.

Feb 28, 2019There's a great deal to like about Fimbul, from its luxuriant vector inspired visuals to the solid combat and an interesting interpretation of Norse Mythology. Whilst the delivery of the plot in a comic book format disappoints, it is the failure of the frame rate that provides Fimbul's fatal and final blow. Without this issue being remedied, despite the many reasons I like the game, Fimbul is difficult to recommend.

Feb 27, 2019Fimbull is a video game that is slow, not very stimulating and not lacking enough technical and design failures along the way.
-
Feb 28, 2019Overall, Fimbul is a mess. I wanted to like it due to its use of Norse mythology as it truly felt like a journey to Jotunheim, not just an action game with some Norse stuff thrown in but with combat that never felt satisfying, an annoying uncontrollable camera, a handful of glitches, and gameplay that I definitely don't want to dive back into, it's a hard game to recommend to anyone.

Feb 28, 2019Though the setting is evocative, the poor combat, raft of bugs and meagre duration all conspire to ensure that Fimbul fumbles its setting and results in disappointingly poor roaming brawler.
