    This game is absolutely despicable, I never though I would see a worse instalment to a franchise than the previous years. They love to encourage under age gambling within FUT by allowing you to buy fifa points and by packs with the false hope of getting something worth a lot of in-game currency.     No major changes. All the ai updates have made the game worse to play. Its no longer fun.

    The game is completely broken, I enjoy the mechanics of FIFA which is why I play it. Those mechanics I like are a part of the franchise so I will not consider them in the review of a single title, it's like giving a car a good review because it has an engine. Since Fifa 16 the gameplay has actually got increasingly worse every year, there has been attempts to add some nice feature but each year EA have a habit of making the game suit the player who does nothing but play FIFA. To elaborate on that, I mean that they release the game with some decent new functionality and then a YouTuber finds a way to exploit a problem and then it becomes the only way to win. I thought that they might have learned from FIFA 20, the game went the entire run without 2 main mechanics ever working, heading and timed finishing. Last year stamina was a joke, people used team press and constant pressure to win games, the main issue being that for some reason those tactics effected the opponent's team and AI , misplaced passes from 2 yards, AI teammates running away from play and to make it worse there was no effect of the users stamina, it's the same this year. The free flowing and fun football experience is destroyed by every single player using the same completely unrealistic tactic. The worst thing is that when EA do fix it the same players start to complain because they don't know how to play the game without an exploited tactic and then EA change it back and call it "more balanced". FIFA 21 is another lazy, badly designed and maintained game that we have come to expect from a money grabbing company like EA. Will I play it, of course, it's FIFA and I will complain about the broken mechanics and refuse to use exploited tactics each time. Hopefully PES use this year off to bring a big challenge to Fifa. They have already showed how easily a major patch could do everything that FIFA does with its yearly title release.… Expand

    I havent bought it, but played at my friends. We both are really good players, eve though we were able to score easily 6-7 goals. Defending is just shambles in here. Like last year the game is scripted towards the end

    I've been playing fifa for nearly 20 years and this is the worst one they've made yet. They release the same terrible game every year now. I've never had so little fun playing a game, especially one that is based on something I love so much. If they removed the pay to win scheme in FUT the game wouldn't sell a copy.     Just everything is so bad the passing the gameplay so scripted every ball is coming back to the opponent to score the perfect rebound goals every game just no logic anymore just money for the company nothing more

    Absolutely terrible game. Been a user for almost 15 years and i can say I'm switching to pes. I've been ranked the last 6 years and been making excuses for this game but not anymore. It seems that when the game decides you are not winning you can't win easy passes go off, steal the ball but goes straight to the opponent, easy goal hits the bar or they take an extra touch so the defender orAbsolutely terrible game. I was expecting Fifa 21 to be the opposite of its predecessor, and help EA rise to glory again, but oh how I was wrong. This is easily the worst Fifa game I've ever played. Playing in the days of Fifa 12 and Fifa 13 with players like Welliton, Eminike, Agbonlahor, Dede etc. Instead of improving every year, the game is becoming worse and worse.     Absolutely awful. The animations, defending, ball physics...everything is so exaggerated and unreal. They have done nothing to improve on the previous instalment in the series. It’s a joke what they do to this beautiful game of football.

I haven’t played PES for 10 years and I asume that clubs don’t have their original badges and kits.     If the developers were just learning to code, they would've made a better game. I can't imagine how low fifa got this year. (No wonder they didn't give us the demo)

Lee Dixon is the worst commentator of all time. In career mode it bugs out where the manager you create t gets lost and replaced. The worst game not just for football but any genre ever made.     Game for fans who either need to work online at FUT every day, or instead want to try a modified career mode, which is starting to really look like Football Manager. Otherwise, it's a decent update for the full price. [Issue#307]

    The FIFA series desperately needs a fresh start. Right now, it relies mainly on the Ultimate Team mode and marketing, while going around in circles. Instead of leaping into the future, FIFA 21 takes half a step forward and two steps sideways in an attempt to differentiate itself from its predecessor well enough to rationalize spending money. If you already own FIFA 20 and are not addicted to Ultimate Team, you can sit this one out. [12/2020, p.44]
