    great graphics and that's it, lol, the gameplay is the good old way of far cry but, weak plot, and the main villain had everything to be the best so far, and unfortunately it was just mediocre.

Completely gone are the towers for exploring the surroundings, which is solved here so that you simply accidentally find a building or something like that on the blind. It is the first part where you can create your character yourself, which is basically a small insignificant plus. Joseph Seed is a pretty interesting villain who has a pretty good motivation, but even so, his fanatical **** started to piss me off pretty quickly. The gameplay is a lot of fun and I didn't have time to get bored. Each boss fight was original in its own way, just like the bosses Faith, John and Jacob themselves. The arsenal of weapons here is great. There are definitely as many weapons as you will ever need. Activities in the open world like blasting tanks, liberation and others make the game even more fun and you can be helped in your journey by a friend you play with online or companions you get during the game. Unfortunately, the story here is downright subpar and it's better to ignore it. Physics lags behind, and you can't avoid repetition here either. Furthermore, complete illogicality... So 10X per game your character faints and appears next to the opponent. I can't say that, unlike its predecessors, it's a Masterpiece or an amazing game, but it's definitely a fun action ride that doesn't just get tired with its gameplay, but at the same time doesn't exactly excite you twice. You see... Far Cry 3 has always been my favorite game in the series. I played it for the first time some 5 years ago and I really enjoyed it and it set my mind on other Far Cry games. However, now a few years later, I have to say that Far Cry 4 is something unreal and that even Far Cry 3 does not reach it. + Negative + Gameplay and bosses + Arsenal of weapons + Open world + Possibility of multiplayer - The story - Physics - repetitiveness - illogicality 7/10… Expand

Tends to become a bit repetitive which makes you progressively focus more on main missions rather than go for completionist. Playability is good, replayability interest is very low. Far Cry titles have a history of fascinating villains, Joseph is okay but far fromKeeps with the tradition of previous Far Cry titles. At first I thought Joseph was a bad villain but to be honest he redeems himself as a good villain in the end with a huge twist that will definitely suprise any first timers, so definitely look forward to it. Overall a solid game, but falls short in certain aspects that could've used more effort.… Expand

    I just finished Far Cry 5 and wow ! This game is amazing and exceeded my expectations who were average after my experience with Far Cry 4 a few years ago. I did a 42 hours playthrough with most of the side content completed. Actually, the sandbox elements are really well done and don't feel like chores (I know Ubisoft has a bad reputation for that...). The open world is organic and fun toI just finished Far Cry 5 and wow ! This game is amazing and exceeded my expectations who were average after my experience with Far Cry 4 a few years ago. I did a 42 hours playthrough with most of the side content completed. Actually, the sandbox elements are really well done and don't feel like chores (I know Ubisoft has a bad reputation for that...). The open world is organic and fun to navigate into. I feel also that this game has a solid identity and a really unique story (weird, funny, deep and « over the top ». This is the type of game that will leave you some memories afterwards. The soundtrack is way better than average and the graphics are solid (I played at 60FPS on my PS5). The game still has minor glitches but nothing major IMO. This game is really underrated and deserves certainly more praise and attention. I found it better than Days Gone who was really good also. The game is not perfect tough...By moments, it can become pretty chaotic and apparently, the AI is not that good. It can be challenging also if you want to play clean and stealthy. Overall, the game is really good and a big step forward for the Far Cry formula who was getting old after Far Cry 4 and Far Cry primal.… Expand

Can Ubisoft even program?
    Edit: okay I forced myself to finish the game. I think this game's story is written by a mountain troll. By far the weakest story in the far cry franchise, for crying out loud even in the whole gaming history.    … Expand

    A solid 7.8 Very nice FPS single player. Just doesnt offer anything different from the other Far Cry games.
    The Story and atmosphere are amazing and the villains as always brilliant, theyre always the peak of the franchise.
    Also very good and immersive, beautiful open world and music, but like I said, nothing much different from 3 and 4.

    I've played through all the far cry games after two and this is the worst on by far. I enjoyed new dawn more than this rubbish. It was a huge let down for me because I love the far cry games.

    Ni lo pude terminar.
    Juego aburrido que no explora mas la jugabilidad, misma historia que el 4 y el 3 pero de peor calidad.
    Buenos graficos y nada más.
    El resto de cosas son negativas.
    No lo recomiendo a menos de que seas un fan toxico de Ubisoft

    This game has got to be the best Ubisoft game ever! The story is so cool, I really loved the characters and the pets…But the missions, they are awesome! I had so much fun beating this game and I don’t think I even got bored a second…Must play from me!

    So baaad, the smallest fov ever making the sensitivity feel like **** it s like looking through a zoomed camera. Worst gun placement on screen, you only see the barrel of the weapon! So many bad design choices, limited gun selections, you only have a few weapons in a shooting game! The story it s like it isnt even there!

    Better than Far Cry New Dawn and Far Cry 6. (haven't played any FC games before 5)
    I normally don't play games after defeating them, but I've gone back several times using New Game+.
    I even go back from time to time and play 'Outpost Master' to clear them again. A wonderful, immersive open-world game in rural Montana with such an American flavor. (oh... and the music is ridiculously    Better than Far Cry New Dawn and Far Cry 6. (haven't played any FC games before 5)

    Very good open world, a lot of good mechanics, great side chararacters ( like pastor Jerome), good side missions, gameplay is just 10/10 but the story and ending is like 7/10, and protagonists are just good. One of the best ubi game of all time

I liked some of the exploration... but some times, you'reok... so you start with a nearly one hour film (no skipable)... why ?? it's should be a game, we should be able to play it if we want.... It's like if you wanted to watch the Last of us series... but YOU HAVE to play one hour of the game before...and then, it's feels like a much much lesser good version of Tom Clancy's Wildland. I liked some of the exploration... but some times, you're parachute in a world where you HAVE TO do some challenges (yes, it's changes the pace... but, again, not skippable, and very often the same challenges (escape a house in fire...)). It's not an entertaining game. There are so much bugs (enemies you killed come back when you look the other way around, or animals you just killed disappear because you looked, for an instant, in another direction...… Expand

    Follows the classic far cry gameplay of a mad maniac controlling a specific area and the user must run around the map destroying propaganda, animals, outposts, and anything that stands in your way. Overall game is fun if you like the far cry series, but it definitely gets tedious and repetitive. The score gets brought down due to a absolute terrible ending.

    Janky AF. Wanted to like it, plot has a good premise even if it’s completely unbelievable. But after a full day of playing I’m struggling to push on. Buggy, overly complex, boring level design, thin storyline… the list goes on and on.

    This game is great. The cooperative factor to the game allows for great fun as I did indeed play through the game a total of 3 times. The first time was with a friend but the buddy system in the game does not make you feel lonely.

    Kinda fun gameplay and it looks good. The story is just kinda bad honestly, The characters are boring. The structure of the story just makes it seem unimportant. There's zero depth to the story, or it isn't comunicated well. the open world is fun to explore which is a plus. I recommend it if you like far cry games but it doesnt offer anything new or intersting.

    Relentless random combat that escalates forever, disjointedly fast story pacing where you can't digest an event before another starts, annoying set piece battles that always end up as a defense against a bum rush making the special weapons provided for the set battle pointless. Worst of all, a progression bar that triggers main story cut scenes and battles seemingly no matter where you are or what you are doing. The context of the cut scene triggers makes no sense, literally pulling you right out of immersion without any way to stop it.

    A spoiler free example of what to expect.
    You're walking and get spotted by random enemies, as you fight more enemies keep arriving, randomly and enemy called support teams. It amounts to a slowly escalating population of a small town coming in on foot, cars, ATVs, planes, helicopters. Fight meh combat until death or run, like you are suddenly a walking U.S. airport on Thanksgiving day. As you run you get into another random fight just seconds later with the same exact people still chasing you, rinse repeat, no escape, what is happening. Tactics, strategy? No, this is Sparta. What seems like random fights might have an unrecognizable minor NPC killed that somehow moves the progression bar. Just don't free any captives during the battle, they are actually supposed to be separate encounters but large battles can end up involving these bar movers and that triggers cut scenes. Cut scenes just trigger when the bar is full no matter what.

    You may encounter a small grain warehouse or other type farm/town like structures that are small enemy bases. Clear them and your allies arrive in numbers, after the battle of course, in standard Far Cry style, and you have a new base. Then, almost instantly, in the middle of your fresh won base, in broad daylight, surrounded by friendly armed forces, totally out of context, a cut scene starts and your a prisoner in a van at night engaging with main villains. What is happening? The van is struck by a something and tumbles over, a person pulls you out talking as if they have known you for a long time but you have no clue who this person is. Before you can try to get a grip on that mess instantly a set piece battle begins. Man the stationary weapon or we'll all die. Its an overhead targeting mode weapon so you can't see the immediate area around your body. You aim and fire the weapon in this top down mode and suddenly you are being beat to death as you man the weapon but you can't see the enemy doing it. You must exit the weapon mode to live and its now a standard gunfight for the rest of the banzai rush battle. The cool weapon mode was pointless when it could have been great.

    While this game somewhat had the basic repeated formula of previous Far Cry, the ridiculous combat pacing and insane random cut scenes made me feel like the game was washing me along like river rapids while I struggled to get a breath. Its even worse when you come back after a day or two and the insanity starts right off again. Its was enough to give me an anxiety attack just anticipating giving it another shot in hope it improved. I was relieved to give it up and uninstall. I have no clue about the story, I was to busy trying to understand how I got plucked out of the game into a cut scene that may as well been on Mars. I loved 1-3, skipped 4, so I can't say Far Cry fans will like this iteration. If you can get it free, try on the feel, but I would not pay more than $10 for this nightmare. Nice graphics though and a good fps test for PC builders.    … Expand

    Far cry 5 is an average game, developed by an average studio. So if you want to spend an average moment, it is perfect ! The gameplay is repetitive, with no real challenges. It is a classical Ubisoft game, with the same gameplay mechanics for years. However the boss fights are not so bad, and the real ending is clever. Es una historia contada de una manera distinta e innovadora, un mundo abierto en el cual vas avanzando según vas consiguiendo puntos realizando otras tareas para poder pasarte las misiones principales. Algo que no me gusto pero es    Far Cry 5, otro juego éxito de Ubisoft.

    Algo que no me gusto pero es posible que a otros jugadores les encante es que según avanzas por el mapa tienes que ir esquivando enemigos/eliminándolos, con lo cual no puedes ir tranquilo por el mundo abierto sin que te empiecen a molestar.

    En resumen: Historia muy buena, libertad de avanzar cuando quieras haciendo lo que quieras y en el orden que quieras, gráficos tremendos, buena jugabilidad.

    9/10 Tienes que jugarlo SI o SI sobre todo si eres fan de "Far Cry"    … Expand

    i have played both farcry 3&4 and I enjoyed 5 much more. the setting recreation in the dunia engine was superb, all the gun and car models were highly detailed and the soundtrack was absolutely fantastic in general the overall sound design was top notch. it lacked a bit in its storytelling also it wasn't as grotesque and gory as i would've liked it to be.     Ну честно говоря после унылой Far Cry 4, ждал возвращения формата трёшки, но Ubisoft Montreal разработали то, что разработали.
    И так, что мы имеем. Разработчики всё таки посидели и подумали над харизматичностью новых антагонистов. И у них это, на мой взгляд, получилось. Иосиф, Иаков, Иоанн и Вера Сиды на мой взгляд очень хорошо    Ну вот и вышел Far Cry 6, а я решил вспомнить Far Cry 5!

    Разработчики всё таки посидели и подумали над харизматичностью новых антагонистов. И у них это, на мой взгляд, получилось. Иосиф, Иаков, Иоанн и Вера Сиды на мой взгляд очень хорошо прописанные, реально мотивированные персонажи. В отличии от того же Пейгана Мина из четверки, чья мотивация была с родни мотивации злодея из какой нибудь Just Cause.
    Структуру прохождения изменили. Разведовательные вышки исчезли, теперь это открытый мир, но поделённый на три части, со своей структурой, своими врагами и своим боссом в финале. Я не скажу, что мне это жутко понравилось, особенно десятки сваливающихся тебе на голову врагов в финале каждой части, но это было хоть какое-то нововведение за долгие годы. Хотя вышки мне в принципе нравились.
    Действие из джунглей перекочевало в смешанные локации, что пошло игре на благо.
    Но вот собственно и всё, что по сути выгодно отличает Far Cry 5 от предшественников. Теперь не об очень весёлом.
    Перестрелки не изменились от слова совсем, это не плохо, но и новшеством это не назовёшь. И вообще с оружием в Far Cryах до New Dawn, на мой взгляд, всё очень грустно. Его какой-то сонм, но в 99% случаев это просто хлам, тратить деньги на который не имеет никакого смысла. Во 2ой, 3ей, 4ой и 5ой частях я подбирал себе весь арсенал в первой трети игры и проходил с ним успешно до конца. Покупать новые стволы просто нет смысла, так как отличия столь мизерны, а цены так высоки, что просто теряется вся рентабельность данного действия. В New Dawn это изменили, игру просто невероятно трудно пройти с оружием 2го уровня сражаясь против врагов 3го.
    Это же касается и напарников их много, но пользоваться вы будете только двумя - тремя. Особенно полезен напарник пилот. Так как в игре появились враги лётчики. Они выслеживают тебя с воздуха, от них практически нельзя спрятаться, сбить самолёт с земли ну практически не возможно, а летать на самолёте самому в Far Cry это также удобно, как засунуть себе большой палец левой ноги в правое ухо. А напарник их отвлекает, а иногда сбивает.
    Кстати протагонист теперь по сути трансгендер, можно играть как за девочку так и за мальчика отличий "0". И то и другое глухонемые.
    Визуальная часть не изменилась совсем, прокачка по большому счёту тоже.
    И так вывод. В Far Cry 5 мне понравилась история семейки Сидов, особенно если проходить вместе с New Dawn. История цельная, не глупая и в дополнении имеет логическое завершение. Неплохая атмосфера игры держит довольно крепко. 98% геймплейных механик перекочевали из Far Cry 4, так что кому всё это нравится, советую.    … Expand

I ignored most of the side collectable activities because I did not find them very fun. These involved finding ways to get into underground bunkers to collect magazines for perk points and map exploration destruction targets (shrines and beacons). I did enjoy assaulting and taking control of cult outposts and the stunt devil activities. The companion system was a bit lackluster with active companions randomly disappearing. Instead of automatically re-appearing when their death/random disappearance timer expired you need to actively re-slot them which ended up just being annoying. Also, the companions control options were very bare bones and sometimes nonfunctional (example: controls of the helicopter companion involving landing). One constant annoyance I ran across was the number of interruptions by cultist aircraft. No matter where you are or what you are doing, the cult air force will make it their mission to interrupt quest progression activities (primarily interrupting turning in a quest or progressing NPC dialogue). My most memorable moment has to be the games’ ending. The game concludes on an interesting twist and provides a nice contrast to an otherwise mediocre tale of generic story villains.… Expand

    This is truly the last great Far Cry experience since Far Cry 6. I love this game so much that I bought all the rest of the far cries and played them with love. It was the way the story was depicted that made me care so much. The fact that I am a new sheriff trying to take back a town that was taken over bunch of crazy psychopath was more than enough of a reason for me to get sucked intoThis is truly the last great Far Cry experience since Far Cry 6.     Far cry to dobra gra z dobrym antagonistą i fajną historią, ale nie stety po paru godzinach gry albo przejęciu paru terenów gra na singleplayer staje się strasznie nudna a zadania są powtarzalne i takie same na każdym terenie, to jest uciążliwe i nudne jeśli nie ma się kolegów do grania w tą grę to ciężko ją przejść.

    I must have played about half of the game or so (probably not mor than 10 hours) doing only main story missions but I found a couple of places being too difficult for me even playing on easy mode and that's why I stopped playing and why I gave it only a 5. Gameplay is good but I think the game should be shorter or to put more story things during game because if not you can lose interest in the game.     The gameplay is pretty fluid however but not something that i havent seen in previous far cry games so the mechanics get a 7,5/10
    Level design however i think it centers on more big but forgets the fun, challenging and engaging part so really mediocre on this one 5/10 idk.
    Open world: this has to be on of the laziest map in far cry, it feels like it should be explored more but actually you just get more swarmed with enemies on a really flat map so that wasn t fun at all the exploring but ig graphics pretty decent so a 7/10 6/10. Its nowhere near the witcher 3 or red dead 2, or net even far cry 3 witch came 6 years prior

The gameplay is repetetive and doesn't do anything to set itself apart from other games of the genre or from previous entries. The visuals aren't bad but I experinced visual bugs and missing textures. AI is as dumb as a bag of nails. The characters are a hit or miss, in my opinion, the only good antagonist is John and the rest have no depth to them, Jacob is a dumb soldier, Faith is a manipulative hippie basicly and Joseph is your stereotypycal zealot with Charles Manson vibes. As for the main character and everyone around you, they're forgettable and have nothing to add to the story. And my god the story....... What can I say it's a trainwreck from start to finnish. It gets interupted everytime you reach a milestone in RP or resistance points by you getting kidnapped and you not being able to prevent it. It has no nuance and it's too preachy about the way we live, but it falls apart because Joseph is a huge hypocrite. And in the end, no matter what you do YOU lose and he has WON. And as a last slap, in the "good" ending HE IS RIGHT ABOUT EVERYTHING. Don't buy this game there are so many better ones out there and cheaper in 2022.… Expand

    I am a big fan of the Far Cry series and i have to say Far Cry 5 is the very best. Absolutely beautiful scenery, hilarious and intense dialogue between the characters, smooth mechanics, superb story, wonderfully gameplay. I never had so much enjoyment and satisfaction in one game. Forget Far Cry 6 big disappointment just reply this one.

    But now I have to admit this game is pretty fun. This game resembles 2 in spirit and is really fun to play. Even the vehicles feel pretty good but the world looks great and I love the setting.

    The story is nothing special but the cutscenes are all produced well and some of the characters are cool. It's alright and gives you a reason to push forward. I like how this game is a little more tightly focused. It's witout all the extra crap littering the map with boring repetitive things to do like in the 3 and 4 and basically every ubisoft game from the past ten years, LOL. Otherwise, it's vintage Far Cry action offering you a variety of ways to take out foes by going stealth or frontal assault and everything in between. I like flying a plane overhead and then jumping out and gliding down to a nice safe roof top to survey the field. Or you can just ride in guns blaizing and blow up everything in your path. Either way, you'll be having fun, and that's the whole point.

    Off course the game still has microtransactions which is annoying but looks like they toned it down a bit and there absolutely no reason to spend extra money in the game. You can find everything you need in the game world.

    A solid return to form for Far Cry and a really good open world shooter with a few small issues in the way. I am pleasantly surprised by this one and since I got it for free on Plus, I'm super happy I didn't spend a dime on it.    … Expand

Теперь возвращаемся к Far Cry 5. Главные антагонисты получились очень классными и интересными, но не получились второстепенные герои. Мне на них было вообще всё равно и эта главная проблема их, они очень плохо прописаны, не запоминаются. Второстепенные герои - это болванчики, к которым ты подбегаешь и берёшь задания и всё. Система прогрессии мне более или менее понравилась. Идея конечно классная, но реализация плохая. Чтобы открыть доступ к убийству антагониста, нудно выполнить не только сюжетные задания, но и выполнить дополнительные задания, зачисть аванпосты, сломать постройки секты. Но уже ближе к середине игры это становится скучно. Сплошной и не особо интересный гринд. В целом игра мне понравилась, она лучше, чем Far Cry 4, идея на тему религии, секты и конца мира - очень крутая, но это Ubisoft, и они такой потенциал упустили. А так, в правильный руках, эта игра была бы наверно шедевром!… Expand

    The American countryside environment charmed me, although I wondered why someone doesn't just get in a helicopter and fly to the nearest town for help ? Out of the whole story I have to single out the tragic story of Faith and I was further surprised by the way Jacob Seed brainwashes you (not your character, but you), since I don't want to write spoilers I won't elaborate more.

    The side missions each have their own mini story, it's not just go in and kill so and so, or kidnap so and so and save so many people. It's always underpinned by a mini story.

    I was a bit disappointed that I would have to play Arcade mode to complete the game for the platinum trophy. So I gave up on getting the platinum trophy.

    If you like far cry, buy it. The reason i'm giving it a eight is because they skipped the protagonist part, but the villans are fine. Overal its just a good old far cry game.

    What a wonderful game. The story, the faces with extreme detail to feelings. It really makes you feel what other characters and passing through. The story is wonderful and every enemy has its own personality. Highly recommended!

    I feel like the game content wise is a huge improvement to Far Cry 3 and 4, but I want to know who thought it was okay that you're forced to progress through the main story by getting drugged by poison arrows when you're flying a helicopter 10 kilometers in the athmosphere.

    Coming into this title right after FC4, and i seen a masive improvement. The game itself is realy fun and enjoyable to play. Graphics looks really nice. This time there is a, maybe still naive, but yet good plot which i was into. The game starts really sweet and you are pulled right away into the game. For me magic dissapears somewhere after 3rd blackmail, which introduces you intoComing into this title right after FC4, and i seen a masive improvement.     Playtime : 45 hours To be clear, i completed this game just to get over with the franchise. If this is how far cry goes, then the franchise is a trash for me.     To be clear, i completed this game just to get over with the franchise. If this is how far cry goes, then the franchise is a trash for me. The game is garbage and before i tell you why, i will first give the very few good points about this game. You can say this is a triple A because of its sandbox system and it does feel good specially if you ride the chopper and vehicle but thars about it. Why i think this game is trash:

    1. Whenever you progress the game, very often i guess 10 times per region? you will be dragged to this very awful, linear, not very immersive ugly, and very very repetitive mandatory shooting story system. Im guessing it is how they progress the story? Its the worst idea. Its not immersive at all and to make it worst, very repetitive.

    2. Everything about how they execute its story, narrative, is god damn cheesy in a very bad way specially when they play the song "only you" while you are out shooting enemies over and over. POOR TASTE

    3. You couldnt care less about the characters, and their dialogues. Everythings feels like just fillers.

    4. Its a re-skin of Assassins Creed i guess UBISOFT as a whole. Dont trust this awefull developer. Overall, its a TRASH.    … Expand

    Одна из самых моих любимых игр. Антагонисты, космос, иосиф просто класс. Геймплей приятен, прошел раз 7. Купил почти на каждую систему ps4, xbox series x, pc. Игра офигенна, мне зашла

    I personally love this game, great world great gameplay mechanics sure some people are tired of the open world ubisoft formula I for one love causing mayhem and liberating enemy outposts and alot of the story missions were really well done aswell.

    O melhor Far Cry, tem a melhor gameplay da franquia e gráficos lindíssimos. Suas expansões são muito boas e o modo Arcade fornece um fator replay maravilhoso e muito divertido. Jogar em co-op com algum amigo também é muito divertido.

    Sad thing is this game could be really great if they developed on the ideas they had properly instead of producing half-cooked copy paste Far Cry games every 2 years. But to be fair, they multiplied the cringe out of touch ""humor"".

    This fresh take on the Far Cry franchise is clearly visible content-wise, but a tad more discrete on the style. If you're not bothered by the slightly repetitive formula, you'll enjoy the many strengths of this episode.

    Far Cry 5 established itself as one of the best in the series, The game features some gorgeous scenery, an engaging story and the overall story is great fun and the theme is very realistic. The game mixes up the missions so it doesn't get repetitive halfway through the game. Far Cry 5 is a great entry to the series for newbies and veterans alike.
