    Horrible..
Take the old Fallout games. Make it multiplayer though its singleplayer and not multiplayer anyway. Remove everything else except looting, crafting and shooting.
There is no content what so ever. No ultrawide support. 60 fps.
I have never seen a finished product so empty than this.

Contrary to most of the gamers, I loved Fallout 4 more than FO3 and New Vegas. But this is a rip off, they are giving me the SAME game with a bigger map, NO NPC'S (where are you Preston?!?!?!), the game engine is old, the enemies have the SAME LOOT, and there are the worst MICROTRANSACTIONS I've seen lol (5 dollars for a hat?!?! There's a lot of issues with the scripting, and I bet there are gonna be a lot of hackers if Bethesda doesn't fix that.

They really could have just made Fallout 4, play with a buddy edition

I've been a fan since day 1 of Bethesda. I do totally enjoy Conan Exiles (which people yell at it is unfinished and buggy as well), BUT Bethesda can do more. This feels like a early mod. Yes the world is huge, and while reading some information here and there it sadly is the only way of storytelling. This in addition to an aged engine and even more bugs than usual. Worst game of the year, especially for one of the last gaming bastions.

I love the fallout series and i feel that bethesda took advantage of that to push 76 on me. I keep trying to enjoy it (and genuinely did at first) but it fights me at every turn. The bugs are game breaking and the in game systems are the worst I've experienced. I don't even think it's salvageable with a years worth of updates.

I really wish they had given this game more time in develpoment, just way too many game have a "content roadmap" just make a game then sell it. This is some poorly coded mess that has a micro transaction store... unethical

I have played every Fallout, first to last, and from my time in the beta (friend key) this game has few to no redeeming qualities. Ripping out the (humanoid) NPCs, with narrative and quests tied up with them, populated settlements, choices and consequences, and companions with personality and story arcs, was a terrible mistake and kills this title on arrival. Ripping out the (humanoid) NPCs, with narrative and quests tied up with them, populated settlements, choices and consequences, and companions with personality and story arcs, was a terrible mistake and kills this title on arrival. It's what most Fallout players play for. Not shooting, looting, and building/crafting, or whatever godawful way that 'loop' was describied. The lore and the living, breathing, and rebuilding world. Not to hear some dads kids screaming at him that he is 'doing it wrong' all through character creation, exploring a world where everyone you might have wanted to interact with or things you might have wanted to do are already dead/over, and then spending a dozen hours seeing glimmers of what could have been amazing but was a total wasted oppertunity in reality.

Fallout 76 feels like you are playing the aftermath of a much better Fallout title. Factions and probably heroes fighting to survive, events and great battles and personal struggles playing out, before someone messed up and got a Game Over and everyone died. Then you arrive. You spend the entire game cleaning up a mess/messes left by extinct factions, in a dead and lifeless map, with the end goal of stopping/killing what caused a second mini apocolypse, probably with an alliance made up of a guy eating chips loudly down his mic, a silent dude in a dress and part hat, and someone who can't stop jumping for two seconds. If you are lucky enough not to be met with stony silence and people totally ignoring eachothers existence which was all I found.

Made single player, with a populated world full of NPCs, where the stories on the holotapes actually played out in front of you and you could take part, this could have been vastly better than FO4 or even Skyrim. It could have taken the crown of best Fallout from New Vegas without a challenge. Instead, it commits the worst sin of all, in that while being bad, it isn't even interesting. It's just so very, very boring. It feels more like a chore simulator than a video game.

And all this is without all the wonderous technical issues.

Avoid. I'm only giving it a 1 because nothing that even launches is worth a 0.

Bethesda, I'm curious. How could you tolerate a pathetic piece of sh*t like this to wear the Fallout name in the title? The only reason I am giving this a 1 is because the game at least starts when you launch it (though, whether or not the game decides to crash in the next five minutes is questionable at best.) I tried to go into this game with the most optimism and open mind that I could manage, despite knowing this is online only (a practice I am 100% against in this industry since as soon as you decide to turn the servers off, everyone is left with a $60 coffee coaster), yet you managed to make this dingleberry hit every sh*tstick on its way down the toilet. Outdated textures that look comparable to Morrowind in some areas (seriously, did you buy some of these enemies from the Unity Asset Store?), uninspired and boring weapons like the Pipe weapons from Fallout 4, a complete lack of story that carries the other Fallout games, lazy animations/complete lack of animations for some enemies, a nauseating V.A.T.S., and player interaction that is about as good as it was when The Elder Scrolls Online launched. I did not take this amateur hour school project back for a refund, instead I took it outside and fired 76 rounds of .40 S&W into it because I didn't want someone to see it Pre-Owned and think to try this cancer for themselves at the discounted price. Not only was the game bad, but you have also included microtransactions, false advertising on the collectors edition, made the game grindier post-patch without informing anyone, and disclosed people's credit card information. That, on top of the fact that you want to use the same engine for the new Elder Scrolls, has successfully ensured that I will never purchase another game from you ever again. Way to ruin a franchise with a great amount of potential. Expand

To be be perfectly blunt and concise, do not buy Fallout: 76 and steer very clear from Bethesda for a few years. If you get burned by them again, please help yourself to a Darwin award.

If you don't follow the game, I'm sure you're wondering what went wrong: was it the unplayable launch, packed with glitches and bugs from the Beta that they didn't do anything about? Perhaps you've heard of the very literal scam that Bethesda pulled with the canvas bags. The pathetic follow-up gesture by their incompetent PR teams offering some pocket-change of in-game currency? Even more impressively, customers silly enough to buy the $200 canvas bag bundle then had their personal information leaked, including home addresses. That should be enough reason to-

Oh dear, you want more? Very well. . .

There was the hilariously out-of-touch stream with Ninja, Justin Roiland and some random rapper filling every human on the planet's cringe quota for the next century. How about the gratuitous duplication of legendary/rare items that they can't stop? We also have the completely broken PVP system that the developers looked at each other and nodded, saying, "Yes, this is a good idea," in a completely unironic tone. There is also the constant issue of disconnections preventing you from being able to actually play the game, along with losing your camp that you built over and over. In closing-

Really? I have to keep going?

Yes, they're selling Pay-to-Win power-ups in the store now. (As of January 30th, bonus health). Yes, the game is recycled Fallout 4 assets and engine, with the same flaws and glitches. Yes, they sell slightly-altered armor skins for $20. Yes, Bethesda will completely destroy your character's skill build (which you pour countless hours into just to get) with random "balance" patches without offering anyway to respec. Yes, they are actually banning people people for speaking out against them, including closing their Bethesda account so that they cannot play any other Bethesda game that the victim owns. Finally, yes, they managed to correct some bugged content. . . but due to their gross negligence, brought back all of those same issues that they "fixed" in a calamitous patch. You may have originally believed that giving the game a 1/10 if too harsh. I hope this laundry list of issues proves otherwise.

I'm honestly not sure who to blame at this point, this whole enterprise has been a disaster, thoroughly dragging the Fallout series through the mud, perhaps never to shine brightly again. My working assumption is that those corporate heads grinded their greasy palms together, twirling their rat whiskers when they saw how successful those games like Day-Z and H1Z1 were. What better way to attempt to replicate that with Fallout-76? All they had to do was make a co-op game for the series- just a simple, honest, 2-player adventure through the apocalypse.

The real tragedy is that most people with common sense knew this game was going to be terrible at the reveal and yet the all-too-common faceless, mindless consumers that seem to always lack critical thinking still fell for it hook, line and sinker. . . a story too often told nowadays. Be the change- don't buy Bethesda.

First of all, we released a buggy piece of code, then continued with various fixes for 50 gigs, deleting the game because the client wanted it, not correct positioning of the product itself, just the worst communication with fans, with a price tag like RDR 2. I think that for such an attitude to their fans, they do not deserve not a single cent.

The bad: Build limit, stash limit, lag, quests, no npcs, items, crashes, etc.
    The good: cinematic.
This game needs more work. They should have hired voice actors and added NPCs. The programming on the stash/inventory/vendors just causes lag outs. Either this is intentional Lag, or horrible/lazy programming. Inventory that isn't even rendered graphically should not lag the system.

Inventory that isn't even rendered graphically should not lag the system. They could have easily separated it more into pages so that only 10 or 20 items load in at once. There is appears to be an issue with over processing of the inventory.

And if "ARK" can handle better builds than Fallout 76, that's pretty bad.

It feels like no thought went into this game.

It's unbalanced. Enemies are either extremely easy or next to impossible.
One quest even says "recommended 8 players". That's just horrible. You would have to get groups from some obscure gaming website to be able to do that. There is not a group-up mechanism in game. And the levels of players on server are to varied. A level 4 is not going up against scorch beasts. You're lucky if you get two people in the same area, let alone 8.

This game should not have been sold. Waste of money. And this is coming from a guy that has skyrim tattoos. I love Bethesda. But this game is horrible. The only reason I keep playing it is so I get my money's worth and drudge through the npc Void story.

I think of Tenpenny Tower and Megaton, the Brotherhood and the Enclave, the NCR and Caesars Legion, heck even the Railroad and The Institute. All of these great rivaling factions interacting with each other and the characters within them telling their story, not through notes and holotapes, but through actions. The idea to do a Fallout game with none of that to me seems to me to be a terrible idea but i gave it a shot anyway. And after playing it for a few hours with a friend i can safely say that i will not be purchasing this game even if it somehow manages to get great reviews. The combat is so too weak to compete with any "decent shooter" and the pvp feels awful even with 2 separate teams fully committed to the pvp it just was a mess of poorly optimized laggy impossible garbage. While yes this can and will probably be fixed over the next 2 or more years of Bethesda fine tuning their game. The overall feel of the PVP combat itself was just boring and useless. And then there is the base building of this game that i just don't get at all, i don't remember seeing any positive reviews about building bases or anything with base building really in "Fallout 4" except maybe people liking what the modding community was doing. So i am really confused by Bethesda doubling down on the building aspect of "Fallout 4," and while yes they did make some minor improvements to this system, it still feels boring and empty if anything more so for the lack of NPCs floating around. If anything this will teach me to stop just throwing money at Bethesda for crapping out anything with the name "Fallout" on it and that is the only reason i am even giving this a score of 1 is because at least with this B.E.T.A. i was able to realize all of this and refund it, so it cost me nothing but taught me a great deal Expand

So utterly disappointing and flawed in every possible way… The first few hours, most of it can be ignored, and occasionally the flaws can be forgotten, but only briefly before they come storming back to the forefront. An awful, boring, empty, pointless experience. There is, however, a glimmer of hope. It's worth mentioning that there has already been a Bethesda title that was equally as unimpressive: The Elder Scrolls Online - but looking at it now, it has transformed into one of the best MMOs out there. There's always the hope the Fallout 76 develops the same way and becomes something special, but for now, that seems impossible. It's a world away from that.

Fallout 76 isn't your typical fallout experience. You don't have NPCs or dialogue, but instead get real players that should fill this void - that ultimately fails to do so. It does some things right, but as of now I cannot recommend getting this game as long as it stays a broken and boring mess that it is right now.

Fallout 76 is the series’ Freshman introduction into the world of online, multiplayer games. As a result, we are experiencing all of the awkwardness and clumsiness associated with that season of life. It is imperfect and a bit uncomfortable, but I see opportunity for Fallout 76 to be more than it presently it - to be a truly great, rich Fallout experience.
