Sep 11, 2015Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture transports the player back to the brief moments leading up to the apocalypse to explore the choices people make when they’re faced with world-shattering events beyond their control.

Aug 27, 2015The game to end all games. Everybody's Gone to the Rapture is a first-person non-linear interactive story. There are no puzzles to be solved. You look around for clues while walking through an astonishing environment and listening to a wonderful soundtrack.

Sep 21, 2015An enjoyable game in the vein of Gone Home. I am definitely in the mood for a game like this every month. I appreciate the diversity in gaming. This game lets you meander around and tells a story in whatever order you discover it. It was a solid game but not for everyone.

Aug 21, 2015This Game is set in the County I was born and raised in. So I had an immediate interest. Shropshire in England I can tell you for a fact is the greenest county in the UK. The game shows off the Shropshire countryside In fantastic detail.

Aug 28, 2015Great game or experience might be a better word.
Although it's not action packed, I enjoyed this game as one of the best of 2015.
The atmosphere is excellent with beautiful graphics and even more amazing sound and soundtrack to add to the experience. -
Aug 31, 2015The view in this game is absolutely fantastic. Peace and quiet. But when you go deeper in the lore, you'll find touchy moments of townspeople's life. If you're looking for sightseeing - that's the right game for you. But it might feel a little bit too slow (you literally crawl through the whole game).

Aug 11, 2015Just completed the game and I was close to tears in parts. I have never experienced such an emotional journey within a game before. The graphics, music, sound, writing and voice acting are stunning. Great story with a heart wrenching ending. I can't recommend this enough.

Aug 29, 2015I was unsure about this game but the more I played the better it got. It's a beautiful game and a solid 9 and a must play at the $15 price. Another great new IP for the Sony PS4.

Aug 11, 2015An beautiful visual and emotional journey.
If you like Visual exploration games, with an amazing atmosphere and a unique sense of calm then get this game. do it. its $15/£12 not much of a gamble.
however if you don't care about story line and aesthetics, then pass.
it's that simple. if you like it you will love it. if it's not your kind of game then it will be a 'Meh' kinda game. -

Mar 25, 2016Everybody's Gone to the Rapture is a fantastic game. Not your typical game but beautiful to look at and a brilliant experience and one that should not be missed. The music is sublime.

Dec 31, 2016BEAUTIFUL!
Seriously, I had to stop a couple times and just stare.
The story can tug at the heart strings if you take the time to learn everything.
Yes, a walking simulator, but a great one! -
Nov 7, 2016From the intriguing story and great visuals, to incredibly well designed characters and voice acting, this is a fantastic journey.
The only reason i'm not giving it a 10/10 is walking/running speed. While it's understandable for this kind of game, as someone who likes exploring places more than once and considering the world is pretty big, pacining could have been a bit faster. -

Oct 1, 2017It's a very beautiful walking simulator. Great graphics, weather effects, environment design and atmosphere, if you enjoying slow walking through the beautiful virtual locations you would like this game.

Playability 5/10
Entertainment 9/10
Story 10/10
Overall 10/10
Wow. At first I abandoned this game (it was little boring for me) but than I try it another time... and it was breath taking experience. -
Sep 11, 2019Intriguing, haunting, and unique. I had chills (in a good way) the whole time playing this. Couldn't believe how outstandingly well put together this was for such a simple concept.
-
Apr 21, 2019I enjoyed this one. The story and mystery were both interesting, and the music and graphics were beautiful. I just wish you had an option to move a little faster or run, because it can be an ASS of a time to back-track if you've gone the wrong way; the character is very slow.

Jun 5, 2021An enjoyable story made into a wonderful experience by Jessica Curry's soundtrack.

Jun 29, 2020Story and graphics are beautiful and perfect
But the gameplay is so limited
Other walking simulator games have more things to offer in gameplay -
Jul 11, 2020What a journey! If you enjoy story driven games, this one is a hidden gem, I'm happy i didn't listen to most reviews. Give this game a chance!

Oct 30, 2022A fascinating, eerie game with a clever storyline and believable characters. The graphics are super-realistic and really draw you in, I particularly enjoyed the mysterious observatories and the sense of mystery and thick atmosphere. It's somewhat of the walking sim genre, so might not be for everyone, but I found it gripping and really good fun. I was delighted to manage to complete the game.

Nov 10, 2015The things I like about Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture are many: the self-paced discovery and chronological asymmetry, the significance of entangling yourself in a visually “complete” environment, the poignance of a well-crafted, well-delivered character exchange. I’m just not sure how often I’d want to repeat the experience.
-
Oct 28, 2015The slow, idyllic exploration, paired by some good narrative make Everybody's gone to the Rapture something that should be played, but only by those with patience. It's a sluggish walk to the end, that pays off, but probably not enough for many players.

CD-ActionOct 17, 2015Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture claims to be something more than a game, but that claim is completely groundless. [10/2015, p.50]
