    Haven't completed the game yet but have played several hours of it and keep finding new things to discover. It's the kind of game you can play for hours until you get tired and then you pick it up again an hour later cause you can't stop thinking about it. If you enjoy soulsborne games then you'll likely enjoy this.

Jeux ennuyeux,boss recicler,banni du pvp à cause d'un joueur qui a quitter,serveur aussi nul que dks 3,fan service immonde,optimisation pvp nul tout le monde one shot tout le monde,ost inexistante,FS intouchable comme d'hab et enfin j'ai préféré jouer à cyberpunk sur ps4 qui m'a bien fais mal au coeur que se jeux qui m'a juste fascinait au debut.
    Et me dite pas git gud ce jeu es trop facile j'ai fais tous les FS aucun n'est difficile..

    GOTY 2022 worthy. My first souls game but definetely not the last. This game reminds me of old games that use to be challenging. The design is epic and the amount of things to do is endless. I am addicted.

    Итак, ознакомился с данным шедевром от Миядзаки сана на ps4 pro. И начну пожалуй с минусов. Не лучшая оптимизация. Из критических багов встретил только зависания в деревьях при прыжке с лошади и последующая смерть персонажа. Фреймрейт в целом приемлемый, хотя просадки есть, они, как и положено, раздражают, но в целом это не так критично. О графике трудно судить ввиду устаревшей консоли, ноИтак, ознакомился с данным шедевром от Миядзаки сана на ps4 pro. И начну пожалуй с минусов. Не лучшая оптимизация. О графике трудно судить ввиду устаревшей консоли, но если говорить о картинке в целом, то она целостная. Ну и конечно же художники постарались на славу, да это не такой целостный мир, как например дс1. Но и масштабы этих миров сравнивать не очень приемлемо, как по мне. Далее о геймплее, некоторое оружие поломано. Из того что я встретил это катана реки крови, которая у меня не получила бонусов урона от скейлов и двуручник гатса, который при улучшении на +25 и закалке на тяжесть выдаёт меньше урона чем при улучшении на +24 и той же закалке, при чем меньше как базового урона, так и урона от скейла(с другими закалками такой проблемы нет). Теперь о хорошем. 65 часов, выбита платина и игра абсолютно не надоела. Боссы, исследование, чувство первооткрывателя, всё это отлично работает, особенно последнее, в силу специфики открытого мира. Играть круто и интересно, билдостроение пестрит новыми красками не забывая об истоках. Прокачаны анимации и касты многих заклинаний(в сравнении с предыдущими играми автора). Нпц и лор, в целом похожи на тот же дарк, примерная концепция та же, но есть больше дворцовых интриг, что наверняка пошло от сооавтора истории Дж. Мартина,но в целом это новый лор, новыми персонажами и событиями, опять же, схожи именно концепция, а не история. Подводя итог, лично мне как любителю серии, игра зашла абсолютно, всё чего я ожидал от игры оправдал себя. Отсылки на берсерка, мрачная, неоднозначная история, упадок мира, неочевидные квесты и конечно же крутые боссы. Смело могу заявить что лучший dark souls это elden ring. А бал минусанул за повторяющихся мини-боссов и самую лёгкую платину в соулсборн серии Миядзаки… Expand

    After almost 90 hours I haven't finished the game yet, and yet it still manages to surprise me. Anyone who says this game is empty or hollow - do you even look around? Do you listen to your surroundings? Do you even play the same game? There's so much things to do, I wasn't even at the first main boss after 20 hours of the game, thats how much stuff there's to do. The only thing that killsAfter almost 90 hours I haven't finished the game yet, and yet it still manages to surprise me. Anyone who says this game is empty or hollow - do you even look around? The only thing that kills this game being 10/10 for me is a repetitive side bosses. Yes, it's graphics aren't on Tsushima levels, but the artistic side it slaps any game to date. The performance can take a dip - but it never happened in a fight or a major story event.

    Playing on my ps4 slim and it runs well(28-30 fps mostly. Good for 8 year old ps4). Runs better than bloodborne. Thanks to fromsoftware for this beautiful game. What an art design.

    i was sceptical but they did it. will list rational pro-contra eventually (still playing atm, might be the first 100% after dark souls 1 I attempted in the whole souls franchise)

    THIS GAME IS AMAZING. This is definitely game of the year. Fromsoftware has released a masterpiece once again. I am 62 hours in and still haven't finished, but this is definitely one of my favorite games of all time. The bosses all are unique and amazing and have different movesets that are fascinating to figure out. The diversity you get with choosing and creating and build is amazing,THIS GAME IS AMAZING. This is definitely game of the year. Fromsoftware has released a masterpiece once again. I am 62 hours in and still haven't finished, but this is definitely one of my favorite games of all time. The bosses all are unique and amazing and have different movesets that are fascinating to figure out. The diversity you get with choosing and creating and build is amazing, added with the phenomenal weapons and skills in the game already. This is surely one of Fromsoftware's best work on a game and I believe everyone should experience it. The game is also spectacular looking. I am playing on a PS4 slim and even still this game is beautiful, from the golden of the trees and lands, to the space aesthetics, this is such a beautiful masterpiece.… Expand

    The problem with Cyberpunk 2077 at launch wasn't just that it had a bad framerate. The problem was that it would crash all the time, the AI was atrocious, entire features felt missing, and characters would just spawn in random locations sometimes. Elden Ring hasn't crashed for me once, the enemy AI are quite sophisticated, the game is packed to the brim with great content, and mechanically, everything seems really solid. And the performance hitches will probably be improved with patches over time.

    Do these people not remember Blighttown? Would they also give the original Dark Souls a 0/10 because of its occasional hitches? Or Bloodborne, which is locked at 30 FPS for the entire game? Is that a 0/10? Or Skyrim, which still has tons of bugs TO THIS DAY? Definitely a 0/10.

    None of these reviews are serious.

    The game is not perfect, and I can absolutely understand docking a few points for performance hitches or language limitations if those things matter to you. Maybe a 7/10 or a 6/10, or heck, even a 3/10 if those things really, really matter to you. But a 0/10 for a game that is so clearly not garbage is not a useful review to anyone. It's just useless spite from people who want to feel smart for not liking a popular thing.    … Expand

    I've played all the FromSoftware titles and in all honesty, this title ranks bottom with Dark souls 2.

    It could have been a potentially awesome game but it was marred by lack of optimization. I can totally understand if this title was for current gen consoles only (xbox series x/ ps5) nd PC but to release this game on last gen consoles in this state leaves a bad taste in my mouth.    I've played all the FromSoftware titles and in all honesty, this title ranks bottom with Dark souls 2.

    This title was not optimized properly for release, that even the day1 barely does anything to address it. Yes! This is nothing new to anyone familiar with buying from FromSoftware on day 1, but when are they going to start becoming better, it very disappointing.

    Dare I say, Dark souls 1,2,3 run better than this game. Yes! This has more content but that is just an excuse. I have a brand new PS4 console launching it with Elden ring, and the performance is appalling. Frame rate issues every now and then, not to exclude enemies clipping out. Literally any location with a vast number of multiple enemies would drop the frame rate. Heck, I can't even challenge the dragons properly.

    That being said, there would those who see nothing wrong with anything From Software does be it half arsed or otherwise.    … Expand

    This is just another annoying Dark Souls ... George R. R. Martin touch is nowhere to be found. Graphics are not what I would expect nowadays. The whole open world thing is just lame, maybe suitable for 2010. I won't even get into the whole UI thing cause I get the point (they wanted to move away from those typical UI Ubisoft designs) so at least that gets this game the 1 I'm scoring it with.

    No graphics issue on ps5. Stop review bombing this game based on pc performance! Throughly enjoyed my 10+ hours PER DAY in the last three days. Honestly think this is game of the decade. Open world is full of interesting stuff. You JUST NEED TO LOOK FOR THEM!

    -Elden Ring à gardé son approche de type Dark souls. (C'est ce que les adeptes veulent)
    -Le décor est varié et remplit de mystère et de nouveauté.
    -La jouabilité est resté un élément important pour Myazaki. L'avatar est facile à utiliser.
    -Les boss sont imprésionnant et amusant à faire. Même s'ils nous tue à répétition. Nous avons l'impression d'avoir la stratégie idéale au bout des doigts, ce qui rend le joueur plus confiant et donc plus persévérant.
    -La grande quantité de site of grace. Le jeu nous fais un cadeau et place des statuts ou des site de grâce près des boss. Ce qui rend la "pratique" plus plaisante.
    -Une série de nouveaux sorts et attaques puissantes. Fort bien.
    -La musique de boss est très bonne. Dès l'ouverture du jeu, j'ai pris le temps d'écouter l'œuvre musical du menu. Cela met le ton du jeu. On ressent déjà sa tristesse, mais aussi la nécessité d'être courageux. Comme si l'un nourrissait l'autre.
    -Torrent, notre monture est un beau cadeau en monde ouvert. Il est aussi utile en combat et rend le jeu plus facile, et ce, significativement. Par contre, il ne peut pas être utilisé contre certains boss ne faisant pas partie de la zone ouverte du jeu. Excellent pour l'exploration.
    -Les sous-terrain sont aussi des mondes cartographiés.
    -L'adition des esprits (spirits) est très bien. Utile pour faire distraction et sera plutôt apprécié par les nouveau joueur qui auront besoin de répits lors des gros combats.
    -L'histoire reste énigmatique, mais cela fait partie du style de Myazaki. Toutefois, elle est plus claire dans Elden Ring que dans ses prédécesseurs.
    -Avoir à d'découvrir les cartes cachés est plaisant.
    -L'approche punitive aux erreurs et gratifiante aux réussites : Comme tous les souls games, le jeu invite le joueur à être persévérant. Réussir les boss demandera de l'observation, l'élaboration d'une stratégie (qui s'améliore à chaque expérience) et de comprendre comment "l'ordinateur" est programmer. Certaines attaque sont des algorithme précis dans certaines situation. Ce qui offre une ouverture certaines aux joueurs pour ne pas être punie et, profiter d'une frappe.

    Points faible:
    -La musique de la zone ouverte est bien, mais aurait pu être mieux.
    -Personnellement, j'ai faire le jeu en solo pour le défis. Par contre, ce qui serait plaisant, c'est d'avoir un "multiplayer" ou "coop" mieux élaborer. Plus libre et moins restraignant. Quite à ne pas permettre les trophées.    … Expand

    Dont get me wrong the gameplay mechanic is good, the graphic are fine, some environments are beautifull to watch and I like the idea of an open world soul games, I always wanted that.

    One major problem is, its not rewarding, the ennemies are not giving anything worth the time it take to kill them including the boss, its grindy to a point that it is boring just to level up once.
    That make the random coop to help peoples killing their boss almost useless.
    Many hard and massives ennemies are giving around 50 runes (souls) even if they take 5 minutes to kill, when you need aroung 10 000 runes to lvl up its dumb.
    Thats why so many peoples are relaying on a stupid runes run like the boulder that drop around 2000 runes when you let it fall of the cliff, what a joke...

    Is it me or almost every big monsters, mini boss and main boss have now a sniper attack and an aoe that smash the ground creating a blast of wind destroying everything around them for a 15 feets radius, so many boss are difficult just because of that, its cheap and lame.
    There is a lot of giants in the first part of the map and they all do the "Dovahkiin" scream attack that can hurt you and make you fall from your horse even if you are 500 feets away from them.
    Many monsters seem to have unlimited stamina and will lend an never ending serie of hits on your face and many of them seem to move like a ninja even if they are obese.

    That bring me to the horse, since nothing is worth killing I found myself just running aroung with the horse avoiding the monsters who are not worth my time just to collect items and find dungeons, this make the concept of open world pretty boring to me.

    Next the coop, that is my biggest deception in the game, its like the old system, you summon somebody in a restricted zone, kill the boss then they are kicked out of your game.
    Me and my friends were mad when we found out that there was a massive fog gate stopping us from getting acces to an entire island just because I killed the boss at the end of the castle, this is pathetic, no evolution whatsoever even for a so call open world.
    When you take a look at some great coop game like (Remnant from the Ashes) where you can coop with the same two peoples from start to finish without interruption, getting refreshing health, potions and ammunitions at the checkpoint togetter there is no excuse to give us the same old crappy coop system like in Demon Soul on the ps3.
    This is lazy and weak.

    And the checkpoints make no sense at all, sometime you will find two checkpoints close to each other with nothing dangerous between them and sometime you will face hordes of dangerous and aggressives beast hoping to find the next checkpoint 10 miles further.

    In conclusion Elden Ring is not bad but its not great, it could have been one of the best game ever but there is too many flaws and stupids concept to make it what it should be.
    For me its a 7 that could have been a solid 9, sadly its not.    … Expand

    A brutally difficult game that continues to wow even after 30 hours plus so far. Rarely can a game capture that feeling of elation at beating a difficult boss, Elden Ring has you feeling like this many times.

    I've been playing video games since 1986, 42 years old and i think i know how to regognize a bad, a regular, a good or a masterpiece game and to be short, elden ring is that kind of a game , a masterpiece, it's simply incredible.

    If you activate multiplayer features in this game you also get the invasion system which is nothing but a feast for grievers and can‘t be deactivated. Which makes it impossible to play a relaxed coop session. If you don‘t care it might be a great game.

Between Sony support which is the worst in the universe, and these morons releasing a game a Chinese, I somehow end up the stupid one that gave these trash pandas my money.

    Im a huge fromsoft fan and trust only them for day 1 preorders. I've platinumed all their games.    I have played this on ps4 ps5 and pc so have a good idea of the lay of the land. And if a Fromsoft game ever needed 'Patches' (sorry) it's this one haha This game should be rated higher but due to the serious technical issues on all systems it has to be a red score...for now. Let me explain.

    Im a huge fromsoft fan and trust only them for day 1 preorders. I've platinumed all their games. Buy It really worries me that blupoint demon souls remaster can launch at 4k 60fps or near to it but elden ring can barely hit 30fps and often dips as low as 15 in sadly the areas where you need consistent performance. Ironically on ps4pro on a ps5 it runs at a solid 60fps but at luke 1800 using checkerboard and looks good. On ps4pro it's not so good sadly. I bought a ps5 for improved graphics but all I get is decade old issues which on pc ive left behind with a 3080 though I've Elden ring runs worse on a 3080 than on a ps5 lol So you can imagine the ps4 version is alot worse without that sad drive.

    There is a whiff of cyberpunk about the game where fans are blindly supporting and conveniently ignoring the serious technical issues which also include a few progression stopping glitches / bugs and the occasional game breaking issue.

    And post launch the patches are not addressing these issues. It still looks and runs like a...ps3 gen era game but tlou was ps3 and that ran and looked far better so...elden ring just looks ugly. Great art design but everything else is far from the beauty of sekiro or the grandeur of bloodborne.

    The open world simply fails in 2022. If it was 2010 then I'm sure it be far more impressive as it has 2010 graphics. It's not remotely as good as botw or rdr2 which are games that existed before ER development even started. The latter alone is worrying but the large empty space which witcher 3 dlc would laugh at...isnt much fun to play. Yes You can explore but you'll only find Skyrim like identical copy and paste areas. Forget the wildlife of most open world games or npcs with compelling stories.

    The George Martin element is inexplicably non existent making the game effectively a dark souls 4. The latter isn't a bad thing but it's not as good as ds3 in visuals / performance or gameplay so where does this leave us?

    The game isn't suitable for noobs or non fromsoft fans. It's a game seemingly more for fan boys, prepaid journalists and shills to scream "goty!" while they wait for gameplay saving 'Patches' (sorry ;). It's not a bad game by any means but it has bad aspects to it or lazy maybe. Bloodborne launched in a rough state so this is nothing new but it's still not acceptable.
    Wait for a sale a year from now when it's been fully patched. Eventually maybe 7-8 /10 but a 4/10 !t launch due to poor technical state :(    … Expand

    A wonderful port. This is easily From Software's best running game on the PS4, after completing the game, I had 0 bugs and it had a really smooth framerate.
    Gameplay wise, it's a masterpiece. Hidetaka Miyazaki has delivered again.
    Elden Ring is not only the best game of the year, it's quite possibly the best game of all time.

What's the point of putting a bow an arrow in the game if you never have arrows or have to grind 10 hours to get a quiver. Just senseless difficulty. Just a genuine torture to play. Game has no true content it just bogs the player down with senseless grinding.

    The story is so silly and half baked, it feels like a teenager wrote the script. The graphics are laughable in 2022. And it's not a true open world game.    … Expand

    Fantastic game! From Soft used everything they learned from previous titles to craft this game. The combat is tight with way more variety than I've have seen from previous games, the open world is huge and populated with tons of things to do, horseback gameplay is awesome inside and out of combat. Already one of my favorite games of the past year and maybe one of my favorites of all timed!

There is an extreme boss structure in the game, but after a while the side bosses are repeated. The main bosses are very difficult. My Friend is one of the hardest Souls-Like games. Very small-scale battles take too long to hit this incremental boss, whose combos are weak. This causes you to get very angry with your personality and alienate you from the game a little bit. There are a lot of technical problems in the game. Instant FPS, little bugs, long loading screens. But in game play, it's one of the best games of the year, even the game of the year.… Expand

    "The world is dead and theres nothing to do", if your dumbass had played the game for more than 5 minutes you would know thats not true.
    "There is no story", literally just play the game, you skipped every cutscene and now want to blame the game for something you did.
    "Soundtrack is bad", if you had at least played the game up until the first boss you would know its not bad.
    "Extremely buggy and unstable", I have to agree a little bit here, but not much, I have 50+ hours into the game, and the only bug I found was one I jumped near a cliffside, my character suddenly slides down the cliff without me touching the controller and takes damage but doesnt die, that was a one time thing, never happened again, and about Fps, yes, it does have some Fps drops some times (and very rarely), but they are almost unnoticeable, if those little drops annoy you, youre probably some **** that thinks 120 Fps is bad.

    I've never been a fan of Dark Souls games. I tried Bloodborne because it was so highly rated but gave up after not making it through the tutorial. However, I'm kind of loving Elden Ring. I feel like I've died so many times and lost so many runes that I'd probably be maxed by now. That's kind of on me. Getting better

    un juego bastante god un mundo gigantesco con boses desafiantes y la dificultad es lo que hace que cada vez que llegues a matar a un jefe que te costo mucho sea mas satisfactorio una sensacion que muy pocos juegos logran en el jugador deben probarlo y tener paciencia ademas tiene distintos metodos para que puedas derrotar a un boss ya sea con un amigo o las invocaciones del juego :´) 10/10

Having grown up on D&D and CRPGs I expected to have a fair idea ofI have never played any of the Souls games before, but being a connoisseur of RPGs and hearing of this supposedly legendary RPG series I felt it was time I finally bit the bullet. I figured with Martin penning the game's story it would be rather grand involving political intrigue and riveting tales of man's inner folly. Having grown up on D&D and CRPGs I expected to have a fair idea of what I was getting into.

    Much to my surprise, I found a vast open world filled with nothing to do. I created my character to wander around some lifeless void. Oh, it looks rather grand the art direction is quite phenomenal though the textures muddied and the game is plagued with pop-ins as well. I am able to forgive the occasional jank for a good and true RPG. I however did not find one in this game. I'm not sure what constitutes for an RPG these days amongst the general public, but generally it's a game with roleplaying options of which this game seems to have none other than building your character's stats and skills.

    All problems are solved through this game's languid, ponderous, and clunky combat. No non-combat or social options in this supposed RPG. The exploration as as dull and lifeless as the world in which it inhabits. Some scant crafting materials to create some mediocre items with minimal stat gains. Undoubtedly the usual carrot and the stick seen in the MMO sphere influenced this trash itemization.

    The dungeons were quite interesting and a more linear experience and I killed Margit after ten or twelve tries. The game's molasses combat was made even more frustrating due to the various technical issues that plague this supposed RPG (Hint it's not an RPG it's just combat pornography) Your character's hitboxes are far too large causing the enemies to strike you frequently when you're clearly outside of their swing radius. There's also numerous frame rate drops making the game's sole feature of combat extremely difficult since the technical execution of the developers lack of talent is holding you back further than the difficulty of the game is.

    All in all this game is not an RPG, there are no roleplaying options. It's just combat pornography for the youth's violent masturbatory sadist rituals. If you have any class avoid this buggy mess like the plague it is and cast it into the fire! I for one got a full refund from my local gamestore, but I hope to save others the expense. We all know this game doesn't deserve a perfect score.

While it can be immensely challenging from the start, the ability to explore a richly populated open world means that it’s not as relentlessly oppressive as the drudgery of reaching an impasse in previous titles. The revised combat and play forming mechanics imbue this game with a fluidity that makes it a joy to navigate, and the art style, visual effects and sound design are beautifully cinematic.

    It wasn’t until I defeated the first major boss that I caught a glimpse of the immense scale of this gaming world. What’s more impressive is how organic and living the environments and encounters feel. I am truly awe struck by this sublime creation.

    Admittedly I didn’t partake in much of the hype leading up to its release, and more or less bought it on a whim (usually I’d wait a few months until the game comes down in price); however, buying this game at launch is truly a worthy investment as the sense of community and discovery experienced by partaking in such a cultural phenomenon is nothing short of exhilarating.     Dodge mechanics are pretty clunky and don't seem to work quite right.. Seems like your character's hit box is larger than Nancy Pelosi's slush fund. Clipping seems to guarantee that the enemies kill you through walls and rocks and other crap, but you never seem to go through them. I presume it's some intentional feature to create a faux sense of challenge to the game. The alternative is that the programmers lack the technical wherewithal to pull of what they're striving for. Now that I think on that though it's probably the latter with the number of bugs this game has. Frame rate drops are pretty harsh and consistently occur on boss encounters.

    Maybe it would have been a cool game if the story was any interesting or if the developers were worth a lick, but they seem to be reaching for the stars when they can't even grab the dirt off the floor very well. Play God of War any of them and hard if you wanna play a real good game. I'll be taking this back to gamestop and telling them the damned thing is broken to get my money back because it's just awful.    … Expand

    Bosses have huge hit boxes… This game feels unfinished, like Anthem. I’m really not sure what music the reviewers are talking about, it’s the same combat music throughout the game. Repetitive…
    If you guys ever played dragons dogma, that’s basically the graphics. It’s especially noticeable on cloth clothing. R.R Martin really only gave suggestions, BTW not sure if they’ll get sued but a few of the enemies are from Game of Thrones… Example the tall soldiers with long white hair, frozen skin with ice javelins.
    Masterpiece… No… Decent maybe. I’ve lost a lot of respect for many of these profesional reviewers. It’s an okay game. There’s a formula to masterpiece games and Zelda nailed it. Мир большой, но при этом наполненный врагами, интересными событиями(персонажами, боями гркпп врагов против друг-друга, неожиданными стычками с боссами). Мультиплеер обрадовал простотой и удобством, хоть и играть с другом в Dark Souls с открытым миром оказалось не очень увлекательно. Порадовали и враги. Их много, они разные, но примерно 20-30% редизайн или копия врагов из других игр компании. Боссы пооучились разнообразными, красивыми и что самое главное - геймплейно интересными. Говоря о красоте и геймплее просто хочется сказать о восхитительном и красивом мире новой игры, ОН ВЫГЛЯДИТ ПОТРЯСАЮЩЕ! Как итог получилась хорошая игра на 100+ часов, полная контентом(который увы находится ближе к началу игры и чем дальше - тем его меньше), полная врагов и интересностей. И наконец это первая игра за 10 лет в которой открытый мир не состоит из вопросиков на карте(привет Ведьмак 3).

    It's too much for just a "Big Dark Souls" it's more like the evolution of Dark Souls. The only down for the PS4 version is the loading screen that sometimes take more than 1 minutes.

Lot of side characters, and funnily enough the situation you meet them are so much unique. You can build the character you want. Dual wielding, knight, assassin, mage, priest there is not limit of what you can do. There is endless replayability.

    The game is alternating between challenging and easy, depending of your skills. And the liberty it give you is rewarding. It does not take you by the hand and tell you what to do. No it is your aventure! In that mindset, you will have a lot of fun.

    The world is so rich. Things are hidden everywhere, each situation is unique, the amount of details they putted into Elden Ring is insane.

    There is fps issue on pc and ps5 that I hears of, but on every other system tye game work like a charm.

    It is the best game I played since rdr2. No easy mode 10/10 would buy again.    … Expand

    If you haven't played a Dark Souls game before - there's a steep learning curve ahead. As a seasoned DS veteran even I had a rough time starting this game. But for those newcomers, those who give up early and those who "don't get it" - you need to understand that it's your second attempt where things really kick off. Typically in a souls game you get crushed, you lose your souls, you invest in the wrong stats, but on your second attempt when you "get it", and you whack your souls in to your favourite weapon of choice you will breeze through what was previously difficult - and that's the hook to these games.

    For Dark Souls fans like myself - it's an odd start. It's unusual to have the wide open world, however everything else plays very much like Dark Souls. As soon as I found my first cave, learned how to summon and whacked a few points in Dex - I was hooked. You can open your map - find something that looks odd, whack a beacon there and travel. You will gladly get distracted by interests and oddities along the way - and every little settlement, cave and outpost feels meaningful, with great rewards.

    You have to trust in From. They have your user experience at heart. You have to know that these guys excel at hiding away incredible locations, quests and items for you to discover, and you're just not going to see any of that with 10 hours of gameplay. People are too quick to pick up a controller and give up nowadays. In the 90's when you had one game a year, you'd explore every inch. And that's how you play this game. It's a marathon not a sprint!

    Ultimately - it looks, plays and feels like Dark Souls in an open world, with lots of smaller interesting dungeons and bigger set pieces. No - the graphics aren't incredible, but the atmosphere is there. The souls series has never set out to be a graphical masterpiece - and I'd rather they keep doing what they are doing, producing compelling, stellar games - than bust out one boring yet graphically impression EA / Ubisoft title per year.

    You might be daunted by the big open world, whether you're a dark souls fan or not. I know I was - but trust the process and let it sink it's teeth in to you - and you'll be coming back to drop a 9 in these reviews.    … Expand

    This is probably the best Action RPG I ever played so far, it's challenging, always surprising, artistically stunning, I can't really find any gameplay flaws, it's just a joy to play for hours and hours.

    A big map doesn't make a better game. Uninteresting, bland and boring. Doesn't deserve any of it's perfect scores. Heck, doesn't deserve more than a 6 if you stretch it a lot. The controls are just as bad as the "story" and visuals. The character feels heavy and moves so slow. Feels clunky. Sound was also uninteresting. Nothing sticks to mind.     Absolute masterpiece, as someone who loves the other SoulBorne games I am so happy to have this. I feel it is a good start for new comings to these types of games and for me personally believe this will be my game of the year as I find it hard to focus on one game for a long period of time but this game has already had many hours sunk into it.     If you’re a fan of high fantasy, open world rpgs and the soulsbourne genre, then this is the game of your dreams. The world & character design is amazing. The scale of the world, the density, the verticality are incredible. There’s nothing else like it. Ignore the trolls reviews binging this game, it’s a masterpiece.
