    Forget the idiots giving this game a negative rating. They probably don't even own Pes2020.

    On a serious note the game is amazing. Its football at its finest. Install an option file and you are sorted with licencing issues.

    Cant wait to start My Club

    Quality game! Master League is a dream, no issues with transfers, good challenge with signing players. Gameplay is superb, physicality is awesome, feels like you're in a real tussle. You have the ability to play different styles of play, top drawer!!!

    Great gameplay. Great graphics. Super Ball Physics. Improved Master League. Excellent artificial intelligence. Great player modeling. Great face of players. Many licenses. Fantastic lighting.

    AMAZING! This is the first pes game I've played and owned..... And my goodness what a game. I've been playing FIFA for over 13 years. I must say this is the best football game I have ever played. The authenticity is absolutely remarkable. It actually feels like youre playing football. Thank you KONAMI

    A true football simulation. A return to form and back in front of FIFA for the first time since the PS2 days, The physics of the ball are sublime and scoring goals is truly rewarding. Do yourself a favour and pick this up. It really is the beautiful game.

    No football game is perfect but this is close. Every match feels different, gameplay is top notch. I haven't enjoyed playing a football game as much as this and cant wait to see where they take it next on ps5

    good graphics, but gameplay is MEH. player AI is trash. makes no fun at all. if KONAMI improves AI and gameplay, it would be a much better game. but they dumbed it down for the masses.

    Definitely the best playing PES in a while. Feels like the glory days of PS2. The thing about PES is this. It's all about the goals. The variety of goals you will see yourself and the computer score is astounding. You will never see the same goal twice. You may see similar types of goals, which true of real life futbol as well, but never an exact copy of a goal. That's something KonamiDefinitely the best playing PES in a while. That's something Konami gets right with PES and this year the goals are better than ever.

    I'm giving the game an 8 though legacy inconsistencies remain and at this point they should have been ironed out. Defending and trapping control issues remain and on higher difficulties it seems as the game takes over at times and your players don't respond as well. It's get frustrating sometimes because it doesn't feel fair when you get scored on in a close match due to AI limiting your own players.
    However, this is the same issue that's always plagued PES. I've learned to live with it and fully enjoy the game. Also, you still need an option file but this year they really packed in a lot of smaller leagues so it all feels much more official. You'll only need options for a few missing kits honestly, but's still a pain to set up.

    Another minus is the refs have apparently disappeared again this year but the CPU will get all the calls it needs to set up multiple free kicks just outside your box. CPU free kicks are automatic unless you get lucky and knock it back with a wall jump.

    For all the glitchy AI problems though, Konami made sure the goalies were revamped and you can really see a difference. They rarely allow any shady goals and top goalies are a terror in some games. A good goalie can save a match for you or vice versa as the cpu goalies are tough.

    I think this is the best PES in years and I've pretty much played them all. I'll stick with it for a while but it does have it's issues on the field. Still, it's better than FIfa on the pitch and the revamped ML is pretty fun as always, but no major renovations there. Just a few changes to the presentation that bring the mode to life a bit. I would highly recommend this game for any footy fan since it hits where it counts, in the game-play department. And despite my annoyance with some of the AI inconsistencies, this is still the most polished version of PES I have played yet.

    PS. I've been reading a lot of the negative reviews. Not sure where some of these people are coming from except that yes there are a few scripting/control issues which are legacy PES issues. AI certainly does not score every shot and the goalies are very good in this game. Gameplay is pretty fluid and responsive for the most part. The issue of scripting is completely overblown by these negative reviewers in my opinion.    … Expand

    Game full of script, akward player movement and poor passing. When you have more than 500 online games at the start of the match you can notice if you will win or lose

    the best PES ever for me, coz' game has lots of improvements if we compare it to previous one. also graphics looks amazing as always. ofc there are quite of bugs n' things that have to be improved. but I think that Konami will fix that kind of mistakes as soon as it possible. coz' we all wanna see the best football simulator ever. peace!

    I’ve been a FIFA player all my life, this is the first PES game i play and it’s completely amazing, it has nothing to do with fifa, in this way it’s like fifa is an arcade game made for 5 year old kids. PES 2020 is the best ever football game of all, the ball and players physics are completely realistic, seems that you’re watching a real game, graphics are truly amazing, fifa it’s like aI’ve been a FIFA player all my life, this is the first PES game i play and it’s completely amazing, it has nothing to do with fifa, in this way it’s like fifa is an arcade game made for 5 year old kids. PES 2020 is the best ever football game of all, the ball and players physics are completely realistic, seems that you’re watching a real game, graphics are truly amazing, fifa it’s like a Xbox 360 game with that graphic level.     The gameplay is absolutely amazing apart from a few bugs but it's much ahead of FIFAs repetitive gameplay, the master league mode is much improved and is more challenging than ever, the online is okay and the rival match day mode is great

    The game is solid. Great graphics. Fast and easy menus. (Little dated tho) SolidMaster League experience (career mode) Its not that its amazing compared to recent PES games,its just that compared to the last years FIFA THIS is the only football (soccer) game thats worth your money.

    This is just facts.

    The score i would give is a 8. But will submit a 10 because so many IDIOTS give it a 0.

    Great game, if you want a realistic feel to football then this is the game, be prepared to think about where you are going to pass the ball, how you will break down the defence. With the option files you cannot go wrong! If you want the arcade feel then go for Fifa 20.

    This year KONAMI made a lot of improvements,PES never had any real problems with game-play and graphics ,this year at the beginning referee was a bit retarded blowing whistle for every single thing while letting a rugby like tackle slide on the other hand,this was fixed with the 1st update.

    KONAMI also did some work on edit part ,where generic team names were replaced with names of the cities making it a lot easier to find your club rather then browsing through Merseyside Red and Blue,also kit colours actually match the real colours of the teams ,there is also an easy fix for unlicensed teams called Option files ,allowing you to install custom logos and kits fixing the unlicensed part of the game.(Microsoft prevents use of third party files so this unfortunetly doesn't apply for Xbox)
    Master league is amazing ,konami followed EA in addition of press conference interactive scenes where you answer the questions.
    MyClub is still behind Ultimate team but closing the gap ,it's a lot easier to build the team in MyClub.
    The parts where Konami can and hopefully will improve are presentation for licensed leagues ,like scoreboards and league graphic.
    Commentary needs to be a bit better as it seams like Peter Drury is having a delayed reaction to what is happening on the pitch.

    The 2020 edition is the most realistic virtual football I have ever encountered. After learning the gameplay’s basics you get a lot of fun and each passing hour makes it even better. Shame that after finishing the career, checking out the multiplayer and playing a few exhibition matches there is nothing left to do here. [12/2019, p.64]
