Even with that its a perfect game if you want to feel like you're controlling a real football match.

will the goalkeepers ever be able to catch the ball in their arms, or at least deflect it out of the pitch, instead deflecting it in dangerous area or straight on strikers' foot?! but it is the same issue as in any previous fifa or pes so ther you go...

PES 2020 revolutionized the football games industry, a complete masterpiece of a game, the graphics are amazing and the gameplay is realistic, unlike what we see in the last fifa editions.

As someone who tries both PES and FIFA every single year, I'm of the opinion that this PES is really good. Yes, it is true that the game modes haven't changed much and the whole menu system is still far from brilliant (despite the clear improvements). Also, the Master League (my favourite mode) fails to add anything really interesting even with the new Manager story-like thing. Yes, it is true that the game modes haven't changed much and the whole menu system is still far from brilliant (despite the clear improvements). Also, the Master League (my favourite mode) fails to add anything really interesting even with the new Manager story-like thing. But the main thing here is the actual gameplay, as usual. Controls and overall ball behaviour feels a tad more realistic than previously, with more chaotic and unexpected situations (just like real football). Playing versus the CPU does not feel too boring, as they go quite straight to the offense just like a human user would do, not frustratingly passing the ball around their defenders. Playing couch coop is fun as it always was in the old classic PES, and the graphics, phyics, player models... all really good.
Ah, and the licence thing... just download the patches ;)
A really good PES. Many things to improve in menu polishing, game modes and the situations where players seem unresponsive/asleep, but still a very strong entry and clearly superior to FIFA this year in terms of gameplay and realism.

Definitely the best playing PES in a while. Feels like the glory days of PS2. The thing about PES is this. It's all about the goals. The variety of goals you will see yourself and the computer score is astounding. You will never see the same goal twice. You may see similar types of goals, which true of real life futbol as well, but never an exact copy of a goal. That's something KonamiDefinitely the best playing PES in a while. You will never see the same goal twice. You may see similar types of goals, which true of real life futbol as well, but never an exact copy of a goal. That's something Konami gets right with PES and this year the goals are better than ever.

I'm giving the game an 8 though legacy inconsistencies remain and at this point they should have been ironed out. Defending and trapping control issues remain and on higher difficulties it seems as the game takes over at times and your players don't respond as well. It's get frustrating sometimes because it doesn't feel fair when you get scored on in a close match due to AI limiting your own players.
However, this is the same issue that's always plagued PES. I've learned to live with it and fully enjoy the game. Also, you still need an option file but this year they really packed in a lot of smaller leagues so it all feels much more official. You'll only need options for a few missing kits honestly, but's still a pain to set up.

Another minus is the refs have apparently disappeared again this year but the CPU will get all the calls it needs to set up multiple free kicks just outside your box. CPU free kicks are automatic unless you get lucky and knock it back with a wall jump.

For all the glitchy AI problems though, Konami made sure the goalies were revamped and you can really see a difference. They rarely allow any shady goals and top goalies are a terror in some games. A good goalie can save a match for you or vice versa as the cpu goalies are tough.

I think this is the best PES in years and I've pretty much played them all. I'll stick with it for a while but it does have it's issues on the field. Still, it's better than FIfa on the pitch and the revamped ML is pretty fun as always, but no major renovations there. Just a few changes to the presentation that bring the mode to life a bit. I would highly recommend this game for any footy fan since it hits where it counts, in the game-play department. And despite my annoyance with some of the AI inconsistencies, this is still the most polished version of PES I have played yet.

PS. I've been reading a lot of the negative reviews. Not sure where some of these people are coming from except that yes there are a few scripting/control issues which are legacy PES issues. AI certainly does not score every shot and the goalies are very good in this game. Gameplay is pretty fluid and responsive for the most part. The issue of scripting is completely overblown by these negative reviewers in my opinion.

This year Konami has decided to renew its football franchise name from Pro Evolution Soccer to eFootball PES. According to the company, this change, which will continue in the coming years, was due to a greater focus on eSports. But what impact has this change had and what's new in this eFootball PES 2020?

Starting with the new licenses, Bayern München, Juventus and Manchester United (who replaced Liverpool FC) have partnered with the Konami game, meaning that Allianz Arena, Allianz Stadium and Old Trafford are also included. In addition, we also have the fully licensed French 2nd league, and next year we will have the fully official UEFA Euro 2020 through a free upgrade.

About the Master League, when we start a new career we can choose as coach Johan Cruyff, Bebeto, Romário or Diego Maradona. And yes, the Master League have cutscenes (which you can perfectly pass on) where, for example, we see our coach greeting players when we are in a new club. We will also have to give press conferences and answer journalists' questions. I know this is nothing special, but it always adds a lot of content to the game. It should be noted that we can now choose the club's initial budget and adjust the frequency of the transfer market.

Outside of the Master League, we have a new mode called Matchday. This means that we will face players in online matches during the Group matches in order to reach the Grand Finals. And in the end, we will receive rewards regardless of our performance. And one more thing, these same finals will be transmitted via livestream.

Although Konami has not made many changes to the myClub menus, the UI has undergone some changes, such as player stats graphs. But not only. Now players who play well during the games of the week will appear as Featured players, which increases their ratings, gets more skills and earns a unique card design. Another important news in myClub is the addition of the National Team FP's, where we see special versions of players competing in the upcoming or recent national game.

But let's get to the point that matters most in Pro Evolution Soccer: the gameplay. In a nutshell, smooth, fast and fun to play. The only things I have to point out are the pressure from the second and third players to the ball carrier, which is overkill, and the fault criterion is very inconsistent. About AI, I notice that CPU-controlled opponents now do shots outside of the area, which was very rare in previous PES. In previous titles the focus of AI was to cross the flanks.

One of the most favorite and used modes in PES also has news. I speak of Edit Mode. We have more options and more flexibility when editing teams, players, leagues and competitions. We can import the partnership logos that will be shown in various ways, and an example of this are the press conference scenarios. Modes such as Rise to Stardom and Offline and Online Co-op are also present, as expected.

About online itself, I had no reason to complain about the games I played, although it took me a long time to find someone with a stable connection. Graphically it remains a high quality game. The game environments aren't bad, but they could be better, especially at the beginning when the stadiums are full, but there is a lack of noise to make it more realistic and immersive. Who comments on the game in Portuguese are the usual Pedro Sousa and Luís Freitas Lobo. In this chapter, Konami hasn't evolved. Comments are still very repetitive and, unfortunately, the same goes for comments in English. All in all, it's a game with some inconsistencies and things that have long needed to be improved, but overall, I really enjoyed this eFootball PES 2020.

Veredict: Despite some issues, eFootball PES 2020 is a step forward compared to Pro Evolution Soccer 2019.

Personally speaking, I feel like PES20 has made real strides forwards to making this the best game in the franchise to date. The gameplay felt different (and fantastic). I love the new Stadium camera angle (seriously feels like you're watching a football game). The changes they've made to Master League is incredible and the revamped menu design just feels that much more modern. The three main areas where I think they fall short compared to FIFA20 is: 1) the formation/ tactics screen, where they continue to adopt this unintuitive, 2003-style user interface. 2) the lacklustre performance by the commentary team (it's a constant repeat of lines that they have churned out in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.). And 3) the lack of depth, and hence realism, in the minute amount of teams that they incorporate in-game. And I'm not just talking about the lack of licenses. I used a patch to give all the in-game teams a real-life skin. But even with that, there's just not enough teams/ players. There's only so much the modding community can do. I understand that my final point would require KONAMI to invest a great deal of resources to amend but pragmatically speaking, I don't think the former two issues are that difficult to fix. Having said that, I did see a great deal of improvements in this year's edition compared to PES19 so I remain hopeful that the development team will continue making the franchise a worthy investment for gamers to make. A great PES, but it has some problems. For example, passes are TERRIBLE. They are so SLOW and SO WRONG! 9 out of 10 passes are wrong. Another disadvantage is that you have to wait 30 mins to get an opponent in online modes. Apart from these, PES is very good, the gameplay has slowed down giving realism to the game. Surely better than FIFA 20.

Every year PES is taking it to a different level of football simulation.
The physicality is emphasized this year, physical contacts between players are more realistic; However, dribbling is less effective, and counter attacking play is favored over possession game because of the physicality aspect.

The graphics aren't bad, yet in 2020 they could do better, especially when it comes to the spectators in the stands. The AI is sometimes incomplete, with certain questionable referee choices and dubious fouls.
There is not much more to say, avoiding making excessive comparisons with the Canadian rival.
Despite some flaws, PES 2020 is one of the best soccer games out there. Objectively this would be just sufficient. Considering it's a sports game, I'll add a vote.

Player faces are awful outside of the best ones (which are excellent). The menus are still miserable to use. And then don't get me started on the licenses and the poor effort Konami put in on the licenses that they do have.

The menus are also a chore to navigate (just adding R1 and L1 to navigate left and right will already make it a lot better). There are a lot more that bothers me, but these were the worst for me. Pros:

    * The game is super satisfying to play. Every goal feels deserved and satisfying(even the little goals)
    * The passing and dribbling is so smooth. Even the small shoulder drops are super effective.
    * Pace is not broken like in FIFA
    * The game does feel really realistic.
    * Crossing is just on a whole other level. Header and cross-in goals are just, I literally get moist when I score one.

This is all nice and good, but we can't look over the HUGE problems(I'm not gonna count licenses a problem cause let's face that's not a game mechanic problem)
PS: these are MY honest opinions about the game based on master league.

    Cons:

    * Defending. Defending in this game is horrendous. Not even kidding. Even tho my defending tactic was set on wide(so LB and RB would stay on the side) my wing-backs just randomly decide to go into the box and leaving HUGE gaps. I don't know but if you ask me in real life the coach would scream the hair off the wing-backs if they do that in real life.
    * Defending. On higher difficulty holding down 'X' or 'O' is basically worthless and suicide. They do have place on lower difficulty, but on higher, you just give away free goals.
    * More defending. Your defender can literally be 10cm away from a ball that has been passed by the opposition and your defender won't even try to intercept. He just watches it, Won't even try to do something.
    * Goalkeepers are like 50-50. Sometimes they make incredible saves, and sometimes I just sit there and say "even I could have saved that". Enemy striker just turned on my defender and did like a fade-away shot which had barely any power and Ter Stegen (89) rate goalkeeper just let's it go in.
    * Free kicks are too easy to score. 34m away from goal, the power on the shot was like it'd have on a 22m away free kick and the goalkeeper does 1 step, when he could easily have enough time to run to the far post, and does like an over dramatic failed save.
    * Players do not make runs unless you previously done a L1 pass to someone. Or they start to make a run to get behind the defense and after .2 seconds they just be like "NAAAAH"

Everyone's saying that the game is super realistic and if you want a football game like that PES is the wayy to go. While the attacks are realistic the defending is just horrible. Once again this is MY opinion.

Also there are still some stupid things in the game, defensive AI is retarded at times, still no 360 turning and some issues have been around since they used this engine and it looks like they can't be fixed by the team.

Master League had an overhaul, sadly its mostly cosmetic and doesn't impact the mode or your career. Regens are still there so you will get a 16 year old Messi when he retires. But it has more realistic transfer values now, that's a big plus.

Myclub didn't get an update at all, which was needed. The new mode called Matchday is fun but overall the modes need an update or even a complete overhaul.

They changed the homescreen and it was needed, but now it doesn't feel consistent looking at all the other menus and ingame screens. Commentary still feels dated and comical, stadium atmosphere lacks severely and the edit mode could use more options like ad boards, custom chants etc to give a better experience.

Small things like the weekly maintenance of an hour or longer, summer transfers not ready at release and still not fully correct and the scripting in Konami's FUT alternative Myclub makes the whole game a bit underwhelming.

Licences can be fixed on PS4 and PC so that won't be a negative, they got back the second divisions from Italy and Spain, also great for a lot of players.

Still the best PES ever, but it could and should have been even better and felt much better in the demo. Konami needs to step up for the following generation of consoles. There is just not enough done in a full year of development in my opinion.

If I couldn't compare it to the demo and earlier games it might get a 7, but for me it's a 6 out of 10.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Man, this game is..weird(am not going to describe the drawbacks and pros, i will post a suggestion hoping someone really gets it from konami), i think that is the best word to describe it, at least for me. I've been a fan of PES for years , even though i haven't played since 2015...PES 2020 (PLEASE no epes what is this?????) Even though it has good graphics, the environment ,colours etc. My opinion is..it lacks fun and imagination! What i mean is in ML and BAL, dude come on, add some frustrating moments in the locker room when you lose a game, or in halftime when you are behind the score. ML at least has some cutscenes during the season it does not lack THAT much in comparison to BAL!!! BAL doesn't even have locker room cutscens. They could add the captain of the team having a talk with you if you are performing good or badly (like they used to do back in pes 2011!!!!!!!) Having a talk with the coach, I don't know, maybe ADD A SCENE where you get the first scorer/assists/MVP(??) of the league/cup, trophy instead of constantly receiving a such an annoying message (YoU hAVe bEeN sELecTed fOR tHE StaRtInG 11 on every damn game!!!!!! Or "is he going to win?"). I know if they add all these is going to be repeatative but , isn't it already?? At least add some imagination into the equation make me feel like i am living it inside and outside the pitch, it is 2020 i mean...2011 did it wayyyyy better cmon!!!!! Another thing that bothers me is the defence mechanism. Long pressing a button feels dumb....you just press that thing until you get the ball automatically and in very few occasions you get dribbled, or the game just FORGETS to change to the closest designated defender even if you press the button (???) and conceive a goal(If YOU try to dribble the AI, i admire you sir, for me is impossible except some body fakes, they know what you are going to do before it is animated!! Dribbles are useful only on PvP and yet again in some rare occasions, because of the almighty LONG PRESS BUTTON). And last but not least, DRIBBLING SYSTEM....it sucks, it sucks aaaaaall the way (again at least for me) if i to brake my fingers and pray the player gets to pull off the dribble...i am going to play some FIFA(which i enjoy only because it is just FUN nothing else really. its dribbles are so easy to pull!!!) I am not saying they should do the shame...but AT LEAST be useful and go through the enemy defence with some style!!! Not having to wait for the player to make a turn for 3 decades....I need to see some passion, imagination, they are already better than money sucking FIFA almost at everything, why not make a step further and give us the ultimate experience...because that is what is supposed to be!!! The game feels, at times, a pleasure to play, when a well worked goal is finished off you cant help but smile at how superb it all came together with some delectable animations. However I'm going to concentrate on the many negatives.

The players ignoring the ball, letting it go past them while they just stand there oblivious.

The passing, shooting, everything seems overly assisted, you pass or shoot at times and it gives a power, and often direction, that you didn't give it, like the A.I overrides you and just does what it wants while you sit there pressing buttons like a monkey wondering what real input you're having.

The input lag is unforgivable, it affects everything, from dribbling to getting in a shot, and what's worse is it actually feels like it's a deliberate code rather a game engine issue or any fault with your connection or reactions.

The scripted momentum is still there.

They have added literally nothing to MyClub apart from a few new sound effects and the way some menus appear.

Close control feels worse than PES 2019 despite Iniesta's best efforts.

Konami think a "remaster of Master League" is putting in a few manager cut scenes that after five minutes you want to skip. Remaster it is not, in fact it's a downright lie.

A lot of crap from earlier games still being here, the lone players in co-op, the nonsense "We Believe etc." banners adorning every stadium, having the same button control skip and pause, the replays every time the ball goes out of play, the poor audio etc. etc. etc.

Knowing Konami and knowing they probably wont patch any of these issues.

Overall when I'm playing this game I'm often thinking three things "PES 2019 did it better", "So scripted", and "This isn't worth £40".

This is my honest opinion on the game, is you disagree that's fine, but there is no vested interest here for me - ultimately I just want to play a good football game and this year, sadly, neither franchises offerings are something I could recommend people purchasing.

PES offline is a better game in my opinion although the regens being players who have retired is, despite fans wanting it changed for years, ridiculous - the most immersion-breaking thing possible and almost enough, by itself, to warrant not purchasing this game if you're a dedicated offline player. Aside from this is it good, my biggest irk is with the game play which has serious issues that people just aren't mentioning:

    - the passing is wildly erratic and constantly goes to the wrong player. This is frequent.
    - the referees treatment of the AI, compared to the human player, is completely skewed (already many games were the cpu never made a single foul, ridiculous)
    - the overall feel and touch of the players feels very unresponsive and not at all intuitive responsive, it's like every player now has a first touch and reaction time like me (and believe me mine is bad), weird
    - switching players has serious issues, namely either switching to the wrong player or stopping the player you switch to dead in their tracks, hugely annoying
    - there is a slight input delay, even offline, which seriously hampers the feel
    - the mini-loading screens, unnecessary replays, and manager reactions from the sidelines are hugely irritating in game and need altering, PES has gotten this wrong for years now

The list goes on and on but for sure this is not a flawless game (10 out of 10, seriously?) and being better than Fifa doesn't make it so. Fifa is so poor that to be even compared to it should be shameful in itself, not some sort of barometer to be compared against. PES and FIFA are both substandard games in my opinion and it is a shame that is the case - I long for the day a new developer takes a crack at making a football game, because it is clear EA and Konami are going backwards,

I would say play a demo first but as the demo's of both PES and FIFA this year have been different from the reality presented I would say wait a year and see if things improve, I'm personally disappointed I dropped the money I did on PES only to dislike the game play so much I already feel like not wanting to play it.

No more football games for me. Konami and EA are making games for casuals. This games have nothing to do with being a sim. Although, Konami was really close to it, with the demo. Don'

    1) Every aspect of the game feels unfinished and unsatisfying. You have to spend a lot of time in edit mode to even get a tiny hint of autencity. But unfortunately, KONAMI ruins everything simply by having small features that easily could have been removed. By this, I mean how ALL the generic stadiums have the same adboards and banners. "These colours don't run", "ATTACK! ATTACK!", "kampfgeist", "Calcio" etc. etc. You can't even see the banners you create by your own. When you play an international match in Sweden for example, all the banners will still be in English. Its stupid, and should easily be fixed. Purple scoreboards in a Europa League match sums up the laziness.

    2) Master League is a lot better than Carreer Mode. Menus are good looking, but the functionality is bad. Its boring to scroll and press X several times just to check the top goal scorer. Another annoying thing is that you can't even see have many matches you have played. This could also be fixed easily.

    3) All this licensing, and they don't even use the them properly. This has always been a huge problem. Chants are boring and repetitive. When I play Champions League games, I actually play the anthem on my phone to get the right feeling. The funny thing is that it feels exactly the same as when they had the CL license. Barcelona actually use PES mechanics in pre game formalities in real life, but you won't see these animations in the actual game. This could easily be implemented, but Konami doesn't care.

    4) My Club is pointless. I packed Messi as my first (!) player, and I had a world class team after only one day. Menus are horrific, and I actually don't see any point playing it. They should create a completely new game mode, rather than competing with Ultimate Team. But first: fix the servers.

    5) E.....(Loading screen).....verything is slow. Loading screen pops up everywhere. Gameplay is slow (realistic, but kinda boring). Replays takes way to long time to skip. The sound effects and the commentators are boring and pale. They could easily improve the sound aspects of the game, but they never do it, and never will. The way the stadium speaker pronounce the word "substitution" is so annoying I had to turn it completely off.

    6) Edit mode is my favorite "game" mode. I love it. The reason why I bought the game. It could be A LOT better though. We should be able to edit even more. I want to change ad boards and banners and the bloody score board. If they improved the edit mode just a little , the game would have been a lot better. Theres so much potential, but sadly they don't allow us to edit stadiums or more than just a handfull teams. What a shame.

    7) gameplay and graphics are alright. If they focused on other things than game faces and shooting animations, the game could have been a solid 10. Yeah, the animations are not as good as FIFA. But I don't care as long as the game modes are fun and the menus are working properly. Gameplay has been good for many years now, since its realistic and looks realistic as well. Better controls and functionality could help A LOT, but Konami rather focus on dribbling and shooting mechanics. Yawn.

Long time PES players with friends who still LAN play together and all have refused to keep playing it and gone back to PES 2019, and we still play the classics 6 etc. This is the worst instalment Konami have produced.

In truth, eFootball PES 2020 for me is the same PES 19 game but with the passing mechanics tweaked wrong, goal keepers nerfed to PES 16-17 versions, and updated graphics, menus and player models. If Konami wanted to make something even more closer to real soccer than PES 19, they went about it in the worst possible way with eFootball PES 2020.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Hi Konami it's that honest man you love to hate again.

After more and more days of playing this horrendous excuse for a pes game i think it's time I wrote you a perspective from a player who had played your franchise since the beginning.

I know you dont give a **** that's been made very clear by now but here it goes anyways. Pes was once the diamond of sports games and was made by a team who loves what they did, aspired to be the best they could be and always wished for customers to be happy and content with the game you created.

The current team is not only making a mockery of this classic franchise but they are doing it with zero love, care or energy. 5 months now into yet another iteration of pes and still to this day the game is littered with bugs from players stopping mid animation, goalkeepers refusing to ever save a tapped ground shot, free kicks made so easy that stevie wonder is a specialist, none existent defensive system that exists of running into a player to tackle being the only viable option, world class players feeling no different to league 2 nobody's, defenders catching players 20 yards in front of them due to catch up mechanics still present, skills absolutely unusable and defunct due to superb slow animations and players simply running into you as mentioned, through balls that float like balloons and and always land on defenders head ( zero difference very animation). I could go on but paragraphs getting a bit long.

A menu system designed to be as unintuitive as possible. Having to go back menu upon menu simply to change controls, loading of every single screen in game, bland menu and color design that a first year design student could improve upon. Every single aspect of pes 20 (now called efootball which is funny) is poor. Onto the name of efootball as you chose so hilariously. How in 2020 can you possibly market your game as an esport yet have servers that can't even offer a stable game maybe 2 in 10. Its almost as if your calling it e football as a joke. I can't possibly think of any other reason unless the guy behind the decision of game title is really that silly.

Now onto content. The content on the game is so lacking it makes the ps2 versions look like massive rpgs. Literally nothing on myclub apart from a couple tournaments per week and new players to milk cash from people. The amount of plain laziness behind the online aspect of pes is enough to win an award its almost comical to think a company such as Konami hires a team of such incompetence.

99 percent of the playerbase literally only play 2 way, hold speed burst to tackle, tap x to reach box then tap shoot. There is no other way to play if wanting to be effective because the game is simply to broken with bugs to Warrant playing actually football hence why 99 percent of players play in the same way.

You clearly have no love for the actuslly disc version that's blatantly obvious when pes lite is released so quickly. You care about cash on myclub a mode which even though u want the cash you wish to put zero passion into. Your an embarressment to the franchise, customers, the gaming industry and every game designer out there.

I guarentee on behalf of every single player that your next release will be not only refunded by every single player but you as a company will be facing so many lawsuits if the game is again in an unfit state that you won't want to release another one.

And please do not think I'm just an angry redditor with no experience. I am a long time customer as stated, a passionate gamer and a very very clever man.

    Sincerely

    Your nightmare

    Based on Demo version:
    Great graphics.
The most annoying thing is whistling for every contact. Every little contact between 2 players are fouls and referee stops the game for nothing and ridiculously every foul can cause yellow or red card.

USA online players beware! This game has serious problems with control response. If you are new to soccer gaming do yourself a favor and avoid this game. I have been playing this game series since 2003 and, with the exception of the 2007 release, this game is the worst online. Other reviews are not based on online play. Trust me. There is no excuse for this in 2019.

Pes showed what a great game it can be when the demo came out. Amazing dribbling, a lot more skill-based, and this showed online playing an opponent. Better players won. I don't play much offline but online is an absolute disgrace. The game has continued its scripted nonsense, where if you go on a few wins, your players become unresponsive and fail to do any of the basics correct. Massive delays in passing and shooting, also much weaker, this results in you having to cheese exploits in the game to get to high ranks. You will find yourself frustrated and throwing you controller at your window as your 94 rated defender decides he wants to go for a wander somewhere for no reason leaving their striker for a tap in. Their new addition Matchday is this nonsense on steroids. Granted I've only played the mode a few times as they decided to release it between 3-6 pm every day when most adult humans have to work. Another massive KON. The games feel forced if you score then all the scripted nonsense is notched up 500% to try and support your opponent equalise. I'm not a pro but I'm currently ranked in the top 1000 in my region ( out of about 110000 ) so I'm not bad. But my patience has run out with Konami, this will be the last Pes I buy. They teased so so much with the demo, and then basically destroyed the game. The people who write good reviews online are either lying or are not good players as no human in their right mind can enjoy this crap. Expand

If you're looking for an alternative to Fifa games just keep going, perhaps outside with a real ball. "Football simulator" is a very exaggerated phrase in connection with this game. Official licenses is the least problem you will have with this game.

First of all: AI is nonexistent, in fact it should be referenced as "AN" ("artificial numbness") furthermore - cause it's so awful that you're gonna wonder if there's any progress since ISS Pro Evolution at all. Players you do not control often just wonder like blind zombies totally unaware of the action happening right in front of them. If only selecting the right player would work properly, but it doesn't.

Secondly, gameplay wise, refereeing is probably the worst in any sports game ever made - it feels that after couple of murders on the pitch referee blows the whistle randomly just to remind you he exists. Usually this happens right after a clear tackle you've made. And lots of times you're going to concede a goal from this made-up free kick. Also don't get me started about offsides...

Is it worth playing? With friends occasionally just for fun? Sure. But if you're looking for a real football simulator, you'll have to keep waiting, cause you won't find it here.

The gameplay in the demo was absolutely solid, upon release this had been replaced by a fast paced, pace only style of play forcing everyone to play the same pass diagonally to a fast forward tactic employed now by 99% of the community. A far cry from real football and a dammed shame to this games heritage of realism and brilliant gameplay.

The offline modes have also been neglected for MyClub. Become a legend hasn't been adapted in years, and Master League is borderline unplayable with a regen system out of the nineties using retiring players as 16yo youth players and the inability to even create your own manager. Today I managed to sign Lionel Messi for 20M and and Lingard too. This is a far cry from the "realistic transfers" we were promised.

Players will never be taken out on loan, you can build super teams far to quickly, and the pre season tournaments are just a joke as Rotherham will never play in the ICC Champions Cup, it's just utterly ridiculous and gimmicky that this is the only major license they have to flaunt.

If you're thinking of making the change from FIFA don't, this series now is as bad as FIFA, if not even worse
