    Honestly the best football game ever made, even if the online servers are dead.

    PES 2020 revolutionized the football games industry, a complete masterpiece of a game, the graphics are amazing and the gameplay is realistic, unlike what we see in the last fifa editions.

    Even thought the game isn't fully licensed, its very easy to update the game using options files.

    Just to encourage Konami to go on and improve the little design and menu issues around the game , lets go for an eight here instead of a 6 or a 7. If you compare Fifa 21 to PES 20 the big difference is, that you are able to play here as it seems. You play football. Simple but fair enough.     It’s not a ten but people who think Fifa is better clueless, and this is coming from a disappointed and frustrated Fifa fan. This game way better than FIFA 20, 21 and all the ones before. Although Konami could do much better than this as Fifa is still a better product. Pes is a much better football game.     El juego esta genial lo mires por donde lo mires lo único que falla para mí, es que en ser una leyenda si te creas un jugador, puede que te metan en un equipo medio grande y te puedes pasar la temporada en el banquillo, esto lo tendrían que poner de otra forma aunque no fuera tan realista

    This game turned be back onto Fútbol games after many years of skipping out on the same Fifa games year after year. I'm glad I bought the Legends Edition which included Ronaldinho (at 39, but still a Legend)

    Leider hat die Konkurenz mehr Modi mehr Lizenzen
    und ne größere Community... Deswegen wird das Spiel
    immer "ausgelacht". Ganz nüchtern betrachtet
    ist PES insgesamt das besser Spiel .
    Bessere Grafik, Ballphysik und generell das komplette
    Gameplay. Eventuell sollte man es mal porbieren statt immer
    darüber zu lachen und es nie probieren...

    Nu de licenties nog kunnen betalen en het is volledig in orde.

    Pes 2020 is by far better than fifa at this point, pes has great graphics, and the ball moves like a real life game ball, also the new clubs are a great catch. Plus if you want all the real clubs all you have to do is install the option files, and then you have all the clubs.

    Very good game., well balanced, Konami/ PES gameplay is getting better by every year.... PES series and Konami are majestic, . Gameplay is verygood, ball physics is almoust perfect... The future of PES is bright and very succesfull....We would like more options for fullmanual players... I'l give a 9+ score...

    Physics still suck its the same game as pes 2017 that i owned. U cant release every year the same **** make something new in the end. And why does every time score a foul outside the penalty area when its free kick? How is that even possible in real life ...This is not football but ping pong.

    Finalmente chegou um concorrente decente para acabar com o monopólio lixo da EA Games com o ''FIFA'', curti o jogo, é bem realista e muito bacana de se jogar com amigos. Só gostaria que tivessem mais clubes licenciados e mais organização no menu, porém se tu és fã de futebol, compre e desfrute que esse jogo é muito bom.

    O ultimo PES que eu havia jogado foi o 2016, após isso só joguei FIFA, mas a EA só vinha cagando no jogo. Decidi ir de PES esse ano e não me arrependi, o campeonato brasileiro está muito bom, em relação as ligas não licenciadas, um option file resolve.

    KONAMI has refined the Fox engine over the last 7 years and this game is the culmination. The gameplay just feels SO good, and realistically mimics a real football game. There are a couple of issues which can break the immersion, such as defenders cluelessly unaware of the situation they're in, but overall this is the best gameplay in any football game I've played. The ball physics are insane and every pass, clearance, shot feels fantastic and realistic. You will never score the same goal twice. Scoring worldies is very difficult, but incredibly rewarding if pulled off. There is also a very wide range of animations now to the point where it rivals FIFA, and even beats it in some regards (GK animations for example). Overall I have very few complaints with the gameplay.

    The lack of licenses and game modes also doesn't bother me personally, since I mostly play Master League (which is addictive as always), and can use an option file to get the correct teams, badges and kits in around 10 minutes.

    If you're comparing MyClub to FIFA's ultimate team though, there isn't a comparison. PES's offering is much more limited though KONAMI is much more generous with its coins so it's easier to build a solid squad and play online. Likewise my criticism of both modes in PES and FIFA is that they are essentially pay-to-win and you will mostly be lining up against Messi-Ronaldo-Mbappe every game.

    The graphics are superb, and although the same level of matchday presentation isn't present as in FIFA, the faces look much better and generally a higher proportion of the players in the game have their faces scanned compared to FIFA, where most of the scanned players are from the Premier League or La Liga. Fans of the Turkish, or Italian league for example, can enjoy a much more realistic experience with PES thanks to the real faces, despite the lower production value in the cutscenes.    … Expand

    Best soccer game ive ever played, graphics ar phenomenal. It has to improve in the future the liberty of some movements, but it is a proper football game. Hope they could continue on this way.

    Before PES 2020, I only played FIFA, but I'm tired of the fact that year after year, the developers of FIFA hack and release almost the same game.. I tried the game from Konami and I really liked it, I still play it. I was particularly pleased with the thorough approach to my favorite team Bayern Munich. Thank you for allowing patches to be used)

    Been playing PES for 15 years. I can honestly say this one is the best overall. There are still some minor problems with the game however, the series is on the right direction.

Passing in general is realistic and smooth when done right, but ultimately how you fare will depend on how you do in the tactical battle against opponents.

    The AI is quite adaptive with how they deal with you. If you get too one dimensional, most opponents will work you out and stifle you. They will look for weaknesses, and if you have glaring ones, they will be found.

    Excellent graphics as ever from the series, and the quality and coverage of faces is the best of any football game ever released.

    The improvements to licensing and editing is also notable, with a number of new teams in the series. Notably, the return of Juventus, Bayern and Manchester United are good to see. With a licenced Serie A, and Serie B, it is the most complete Italian football experience out there are the moment.

    The game will also be the official game of Euro 2020, with a free DLC coming later in the year. Notably, however, all European nations are already in the game and full licenced. This is the first time this has ever happened for a football game, with all previous Euro games not having all teams licenced. PES 2016 had all real players, but some unlicenced teams in the competition, and many European sides missing. Euro 2012 by EA didn't even having both of the hosts licenced, one not even having real players. PES 2020 already has everybody, including Andorra, Gilbraltar, etc. It will be interesting to see the final version of the mode.

    MyClub is fun, but if that's all you're really into it, it would be worth playing PESLite first instead. The game is so much more than it's cashgrab online mode, which seems a requirement in modern sports gaming for whatever reason.

    The online itself is fun, but the game really shines offline. I would recommend it to anyone who misses the days career mode being the main mode in football games.

    Definitely the best playing PES in a while. Feels like the glory days of PS2. The thing about PES is this. It's all about the goals. The variety of goals you will see yourself and the computer score is astounding. You will never see the same goal twice. You may see similar types of goals, which true of real life futbol as well, but never an exact copy of a goal. That's something KonamiDefinitely the best playing PES in a while.     I'm giving the game an 8 though legacy inconsistencies remain and at this point they should have been ironed out. Defending and trapping control issues remain and on higher difficulties it seems as the game takes over at times and your players don't respond as well. It's get frustrating sometimes because it doesn't feel fair when you get scored on in a close match due to AI limiting your own players.
    However, this is the same issue that's always plagued PES. I've learned to live with it and fully enjoy the game. Also, you still need an option file but this year they really packed in a lot of smaller leagues so it all feels much more official. You'll only need options for a few missing kits honestly, but's still a pain to set up.

    Another minus is the refs have apparently disappeared again this year but the CPU will get all the calls it needs to set up multiple free kicks just outside your box. CPU free kicks are automatic unless you get lucky and knock it back with a wall jump.

    For all the glitchy AI problems though, Konami made sure the goalies were revamped and you can really see a difference. They rarely allow any shady goals and top goalies are a terror in some games. A good goalie can save a match for you or vice versa as the cpu goalies are tough.

    I think this is the best PES in years and I've pretty much played them all. I'll stick with it for a while but it does have it's issues on the field. Still, it's better than FIfa on the pitch and the revamped ML is pretty fun as always, but no major renovations there. Just a few changes to the presentation that bring the mode to life a bit. I would highly recommend this game for any footy fan since it hits where it counts, in the game-play department. And despite my annoyance with some of the AI inconsistencies, this is still the most polished version of PES I have played yet.

    PS. I've been reading a lot of the negative reviews. Not sure where some of these people are coming from except that yes there are a few scripting/control issues which are legacy PES issues. AI certainly does not score every shot and the goalies are very good in this game. Gameplay is pretty fluid and responsive for the most part. The issue of scripting is completely overblown by these negative reviewers in my opinion.    … Expand

    This year i wents back to the roots, PES 2020 is a very good game. I really wish they get the teams licences in the future PES games (not in a hurry) and enhence the online experience.

    This game is just amazing ,the master league/ career mode and Become a levend / player's career mode are so funny and imersive.
    The gameplay is better than never cause of the new finesse dribling system andthe new camera angle.
    The worst thing is.my club/ online mode. This mode is way too easy and not challenging.

    Controls are not explained very well and nearly every team has 90+ players. Servers are poor also. Free kicks are easy to concede but difficult to execute. Like FIFA it's pay to win.

    Bought both fifa20 and pes2020. FIFA20 is arcade game. PES2020 is simulator (feels like real soccer). PES2020 is much BETTER THAN FIFA2020

    As someone who tries both PES and FIFA every single year, I'm of the opinion that this PES is really good. Yes, it is true that the game modes haven't changed much and the whole menu system is still far from brilliant (despite the clear improvements). Controls and overall ball behaviour feels a tad more realistic than previously, with more chaotic and unexpected situations (just like real football). Playing versus the CPU does not feel too boring, as they go quite straight to the offense just like a human user would do, not frustratingly passing the ball around their defenders. Playing couch coop is fun as it always was in the old classic PES, and the graphics, phyics, player models... all really good.
    Ah, and the licence thing... just download the patches ;)

Unlike it's rival FIFA 2020, in PES you have to think about players positioning before pinging passes around, is the player on their weaker foot, is your player receiving body pressure from a defender?     PES 20 has much better gameplay than FIFA. The passing and shooting is better. It does not bother me that it does not include some of the teams names since it still has all of the updated players. I highly recommend to buy PES instead of FIFA.

    The only problem is licenses which can be easily solved with an option file in pc and ps4.

    Since the resurgence if PES back in 2015 it looks like Konami have done a really decent job with this installment.

    Not a big fan of the online aspects of this as MyClub is just confusing.

    However as what I've done this year as every year, I have a fully licensed PES and this is because of the massive and really talented devoted community making top quality Option Files. Master League never disappoints but this year feel even better with a step in the right direction

    And to compare it with Fifa'20 career mode, which is in a shambles, this is way better.

    No football game is perfect but this is close. Every match feels different, gameplay is top notch. I haven't enjoyed playing a football game as much as this and cant wait to see where they take it next on ps5

    AMAZING! This is the first pes game I've played and owned..... And my goodness what a game. I've been playing FIFA for over 13 years. I must say this is the best football game I have ever played.     The gameplay is absolutely amazing apart from a few bugs but it's much ahead of FIFAs repetitive gameplay, the master league mode is much improved and is more challenging than ever, the online is okay and the rival match day mode is great

    the best PES ever for me, coz' game has lots of improvements if we compare it to previous one. also graphics looks amazing as always. ofc there are quite of bugs n' things that have to be improved. but I think that Konami will fix that kind of mistakes as soon as it possible. coz' we all wanna see the best football simulator ever. peace!

    A true football simulation. A return to form and back in front of FIFA for the first time since the PS2 days, The physics of the ball are sublime and scoring goals is truly rewarding. Do yourself a favour and pick this up. It really is the beautiful game.

    Konami has finally came up with the best pes since pes 13 it lacks fun game modes and myclub is still stale as ever but master league is my fav mode and they added new cool features might be repetitive but still adds up and with the improved gameplay it certainly lives up to the standards hopefully next year with ps5 arrival will see a new engine and new features in pes 21

    Muito Bom . Voltou às origens da franquia : Controle total , realismo e cadencia. Como entendo o quanto é complicado licenciar novos times , ainda não vi nenhum ponto negativo no jogo, pois a questão de licenças seria o único ponto a considerar.

    I dont buy PES since the 2012 edition, but this year they really improve, the gameplay its awesome, it give you a great experience, graphics arent the best, but the first thing makes me consider to buy it after a long time, in addition to FIFA 20 embarrasing starting.

    Realistic moves, realistic players, realistic stadiums.
    Has a few bugs, wich does not impacts in the gameplay experience.
    Not perfect, but close to.
    A huge advancement from last edition.
    I Left FIFA bugged series to join PES and saved money and gained happiness moments.
    PES is evolving every year. Fifa is doing the opposite, since 18 edition.

    Really good game. Step in a right direction and its a huge one. Hopefully people will start to use their brains and forget that piece of crap EA garbage.

    Thank you for the realism! The game is much better than fifa and far more addictive. The official club names are missing but that did not not hinder the gameplay

    This year KONAMI made a lot of improvements,PES never had any real problems with game-play and graphics ,this year at the beginning referee was a bit retarded blowing whistle for every single thing while letting a rugby like tackle slide on the other hand,this was fixed with the 1st update.

    KONAMI also did some work on edit part ,where generic team names were replaced with names of the cities making it a lot easier to find your club rather then browsing through Merseyside Red and Blue,also kit colours actually match the real colours of the teams ,there is also an easy fix for unlicensed teams called Option files ,allowing you to install custom logos and kits fixing the unlicensed part of the game.(Microsoft prevents use of third party files so this unfortunetly doesn't apply for Xbox)
    Master league is amazing ,konami followed EA in addition of press conference interactive scenes where you answer the questions.
    MyClub is still behind Ultimate team but closing the gap ,it's a lot easier to build the team in MyClub.
    The parts where Konami can and hopefully will improve are presentation for licensed leagues ,like scoreboards and league graphic.
    Commentary needs to be a bit better as it seams like Peter Drury is having a delayed reaction to what is happening on the pitch.

    Great game, if you want a realistic feel to football then this is the game, be prepared to think about where you are going to pass the ball, how you will break down the defence. With the option files you cannot go wrong! If you want the arcade feel then go for Fifa 20.

    The game is solid. Great graphics. Fast and easy menus. (Little dated tho) SolidMaster League experience (career mode) Its not that its amazing compared to recent PES games,its just that compared to the last years FIFA THIS is the only football (soccer) game thats worth your money.

    This is just facts.

    The score i would give is a 8. But will submit a 10 because so many IDIOTS give it a 0.

    The 2020 edition is the most realistic virtual football I have ever encountered. After learning the gameplay’s basics you get a lot of fun and each passing hour makes it even better. Shame that after finishing the career, checking out the multiplayer and playing a few exhibition matches there is nothing left to do here. [12/2019, p.64]
