The story moves at a comfortable pace and the characters are all easy to love. Despite the fact that none of them speak a single word and their backstories are nothing extravagant, there is a certain charm to each of them.

Earthlock is a JRPG that is well done in general. The combat requires some strategies and very much so with the bosses. There is a bigEarthlock is a JRPG that is well done in general. The combat requires some strategies and very much so with the bosses. There is a big balanced problem in the end. My characters were top at level 20, but almost all the enemies in the end areas still felt too powerful. That part of the game was frustrating. There is item and ammo creation, powers and some weapons creation...but strangely there is no armor. Your protection relies on an upgrade board that uses switching cards. The warp system is stupid since you always have to come back to the same place to get somewhere else. The NPC interacting are rather slim and the side quest are ok but not that many. I really love the fact that each character had certain ability on the main map, and switching between them is required. The world map isn't that big. You get maybe 20 hours out of this game. I give it a 68%. A good RPG, but it carry some annoying problems. Full Review »
