    A good shooter, but worse than the first part of 2016. It is sad that when playing a shooter you can’t play enough, a generally dubious solution to the restriction of ammunition. But it's still worth playing.

    Я как то писал про игру Doom 2016 и поражался как разработчики смогли создать такую увлекательную игру основанную буквально на одном геймплее, в которой практически отсутствовал сюжет. При том это было сделано без Кармака. Тогда я ещё сказал, что бы Doom Eternal стал лучше, разработчикам надо сотворить чудо. И........... На мой взгляд это им не удалось!
    Первую часть я буквально пролетел    Я как то писал про игру Doom 2016 и поражался как разработчики смогли создать такую увлекательную игру основанную буквально на одном геймплее, в которой практически отсутствовал сюжет. При том это было сделано без Кармака. Тогда я ещё сказал, что бы Doom Eternal стал лучше, разработчикам надо сотворить чудо. И........... На мой взгляд это им не удалось!
    Первую часть я буквально пролетел за пару заходов. А Doom Eternal проходил....6 месяцев. И даже не знаю в чем дело. Наверное в том, что игра на 99% вторична. Играть в неё сейчас просто скучно.
    Но всё по порядку. Начну с того, что игра выглядит, ощущается как оригинал четырехлетней давности. Да добавили пушку на плечо и кошку к супер обрезу, но пушка полное говно (я думал, что будет как у хищника, но нет), стреляет чёрти как, пока сдетонируют гранаты монстры разбегутся, эффективна может быть против тихоходных тварей, есть ещё огонь, но он нужен только для выбивания брони. При том она перезаряжается секунд 60. А крюк-кошка нужна только в определенных местах, подтягиваться к врагам смысла нет так как через 0.1 секунды враг сам прибежит к тебе.
    Ещё разработчики усложнили геймплей. Монстры стали сильней и жирней, и даже на лёгком уровне они более упругие чем в Doom 2016 на среднем.
    Тем более к концу игры авторы практически перестали выдавать боеприпасы на аренах, а взрывные бочки из которых можно их выбить исчезают где то после 8ой миссии. Так что пополнить боезапас можно только бензопилой, а её ещё зарядить надо. Поэтому после той же восьмой миссии иногда просто приходилось самоубиваться об какого нибуть импа, так как остаётся только удар рукой, а он в этой игре бесполезен опять таки если не заряжен.
    Да, появиляется супер меч, но заряды для него тоже очень ограничины и вместо кровавого экстаза на экране получается тоска. Зарядов то нет!
    Может кому-то мазохизм на экране нравится, мне нет. Я хочу веселиться, а меня заставляют страдать. В Doom я чувствовал себя суперменом, а в Doom Eternal Фродо Бэггинсом который должен всю игру бегать от врагов. Может игра рассчитана на кооп? Тогда можно было бы объяснть сложность, но это не так. Авторы просто сделали врагов более жирными и сильными.
    Как по мне чуда из игры не вышло.
    Нам обещали сногсшибающую графику, переработанный геймплей, крепкий сюжет. На PS4 графика точно та же, что и в 2016м, как я говорил геймплей почти не изменился, по мне так стал даже хуже, сюжет.....м даа.
    Поиграв в игру час я просто не хотел в неё возвращаться. И так в течение полугода. Да игру прошел, так как купил цифровую версию иначе продал бы, но это не доставило мне удовольствия. Жаль!    … Expand

    O melhor FPS da geração. Jogo extremamente frenético, com uma variedade muito boa de armas e inimigos para se matar. Muito mais ágil que seu antecessor, mundos maiores para se explorar e trilha sonora andando com a gameplay, recomendo fortemente para qualquer pessoa que curta jogo de tiro em primeira pessoa.

    Ce doom est absolument excellent surtout au niveau du travail qui a été fait sur le level design, les graphismes, les décors, les ennemis, les animations, les armes, les maps, l'ambiance et la musique. Ce jeu est aussi un bel hommage à toute la saga. C'est un régal.

I get you intended for me to go a different way, but you could've just planned your levels so that it doesn't have so many misleading jumps; I shouldn't be pretty sure I figured something out, only for an invisible wall to reject me into a pit... more than once in a level, I might add. I could stand on a moving platform that I would assume sends me to a secret when I cause it to change direction... Instead I get reloaded on the ground floor. I could try jumping towards some very clear horizontal swing jumps... It counts me as out-of-bounds mid-jump and damages me. For a game that's part platformer, I don't think that aspect really holds up on it's own.

    As someone highly invested in level design, it seems kind of lazy to keep blocking off areas I should otherwise be able to reach if the platforms were just rendered to match their physical appearance. There is such a thing as a natural flow to a level, and the developers seem to rely way too heavily on just putting up walls and boundaries in places to keep forcing level designs to work. The Doom game from 2016 had impressive maps where I really had to think out my route in order to come across secrets; Applying that level of care to this game often makes me feel like I'm overthinking and wasting time. It kind of feels like they're just putting me in a playground with a coat of hellish paint over it. I mean, it works to an extent; It's just not the most immersive Doom game I've played.

    While the level design isn't awful as a whole, it can be a bit disappointing that a lot of the most visually pleasing aspects of levels are areas you probably won't ever reach or interact with, whereas the maps consist of a lot of deathmatch-type areas connected by platforming that comes off as somewhat rigid due to the detection of the environment. Overall, this contrast of gameplay dynamics seems a bit less fluent than in the last game, with the closed off rooms getting repetitive kind of early.

    Overall, Doom (2016) was slightly better. This is still worth getting if you played that game and want another, though. Not particularly disappointing, but not really groundbreaking, either. Kind of just more of the same, but at least they didn't mess up a working formula.    … Expand

In Doom Eternal he has green hair too, Cacodemon has blue blood and other refs to original Doom.
    Story - 8/10. In Doom Eternal we have interesting story and huge lore, finally!
    NO MICRO-TRANSACTIONS (at least not yet) - 10/10

    DOOM will always be DOOM don't need to change anything about the game loved the increased speed, gameplay is great as always it's a great game to release all your anger into it with smashing and blowing up demons but one thing I hope they add in the future is that I would love to see a DOOM coop campaign mode or just a survival mode but overall the game is awesome

    Was great, but felt way too short. There was a deeper sense of exploration in the first one that was great. I don't know, maybe the pacing was off. Something didn't feel as good as the first. Maybe in my old age I'm getting tired of games trying to enchant by throwing everything at you. It just gets boring after awhile, but you do end up wanting to come back.

Weapons have been balanced dramatically altering their effectiveness, and ammo is now much more scarce in an effort to make the game feel more strategic. Pacing is out the window, as most of your abilities and upgrades are provided immediately. The music is a huge letdown, due to the failed attempts of Mick Gordon to execute his deadlines on time. The whole game is now very platform based and arcade like.

    While still a respectable shooter with lots of good things going for it, this is not the Doom series that re-emerged this generation.    … Expand

    Do not try to play this game with your controller. This game is only available for keyboard and mouse. Aside from the graphics, the game is very good and skill-dependent.

    you need to change the language of your console or the game does not start but worse you have to create an bethesda acoount or you can only play this game offline which means your console i not connected to the internet and you cant play multiplayer - and no one tells you that before you buy

    Eso no es DOOM. Es otra cosa. Metieron una historia sin sentido. En un juego donde la dificulta es que te acorralen injustamente solo para aumentar la dificúltales. Lo pase porque realmente lo compre. Porque sino lo dejo abandonado.

Graphically, although it is not the precise point on which we expected Doom Eternal, it remains very pretty and it gives credibility to the sublime artistic direction which itself gives credibility to the level design. The gameplay during the fights is frankly fun however we would have done without phases of funny platforms for five minutes but which become very heavy in the long run. Otherwise the sensations are almost the same as in 2016 and that's what makes it hard for me to do better than Doom 2016. There aren't really big differences between the two games and it's that's what disappoints me a lot, apart from the new sublime music and the new weapons I haven't really seen much difference except I expected much more ... But otherwise yes, Doom Eternal is a good game and it will please any nag or fan of FPS… Expand

    Doom eternal is an 'ok' game if you want something braindead to waste time. If you are looking for an interesting, thought consuming, game then do not play this game. The gameplay is repetitive and tedious at best.

Кого убивал и куда шел? Не знаю. Честно, я пытался понять. Начинал читать лор , записки, Но так ничего и не понял. И забил. И просто наслаждался гемплеем. Смело беритеВ этой игре превосходно всё.     This game is so good! Doom Eternal surpassed Doom (2016) in evert aspect. Fast paced frenetic gameplay filled with action, great graphics and delicious soundtrack.

    really fun game enjoyed more than the first tho not as much as I expected. To me Doom 2016 and eternal none of them are as amazing as to everybody else but they are a lot of fun to play through and would be one of those few games that I return to later on

    Doom Eternal is Doom, but better in almost every single way. Doom Eternal’s biggest accomplishment is somehow giving you more options on how to approach each encounter. If you liked Doom (2016) then you are definitely going to enjoy this.

    This was something new! This doom was very short and I don’t like the story why the HELL IS ON EARTH? Whatever I loved more the 2016 DOOM that was original retro game for the fans this eternal is some promo mainstream game.

    Instead of in most FPS games, where you play as... a army man, in doom, you play as this badass green guy who goes to hell and slices demons in half with a gun that is also a chainsaw. It’s just way more unique than other FPS games. This also is reflected in the gameplay. In games like call of duty, what you do is find some cover, shoot some guys, find more cover    This game is amazing.

    Instead of in most FPS games, where you play as... a army man, in doom, you play as this badass green guy who goes to hell and slices demons in half with a gun that is also a chainsaw. It’s just way more unique than other FPS games. This also is reflected in the gameplay. In games like call of duty, what you do is find some cover, shoot some guys, find more cover ahead, and repeat. In doom, you are jumping all over the map, getting in demon’s faces, and just absolutely demolishing them. It does a service to the classic doom games that pioneered the first person shooter genre while not dwelling on the past. It’s just a super fun game. I’d recommend anyone to get this game, but I personally think the best way to play it is on the PC version, with a controller, with gyro aiming. (Not as much the switch version though. That one has gyro aiming built in, but it probably runs like crap, because it’s the switch version)    … Expand

    This game has certainly earned a place in my top 10 FPS titles of all the time !
    Such a challenging game, but it won't stop you if you'd prefer to take a breezy tour through metal album landscapes and demon guts !!
    And dont forget to put the difficulty on Nightmare ...asdad

    The plot is a **** but who cares it’s a Doom game, all you care about is shooting the demons! Gameplay and demons kinda become repetitive towards the end of the game, imho. Also soundtrack sounds great!

    this game is the definition of KILLING EVERYONE,doom was never so perfect untin doom eternal,the strong point of the game is probally the soundtrack not only they are badass for gaming here and in other games, but they even are great memes;PERFECT.

However, some opponents are just impenetrable, and missions take like 1-2 hours if you go for every collectible and combatThis game makes you feel like a total badass, as with every other great DOOM game.     Still not finnishing the game, cause i do all 100% but its so good if u like fast fps, to me one of the best on his kind, go ahead, runs perfectly and so good graphics and gameplay, bethesda and especially id Software u done a rlly good job out there !!!!

    Just completed it today, and it's quite a satisfying sensation. All in all, it's a fun little game despite some imperfections here and there (one of them being the platforming) which don't manage to ruin the game if you're looking for some action and challenge.

    Bethesda & id have done it again. They've managed to make an amazing sequel to Doom 2016 by building up on 2016 gameplay and adding more depth. The end result: one of the best shooters on the market, and one of the best shooters of the last 10 years.

    The Doomguy is back, full of anger, lust to eviscerate demons and wanting to show off his impressive gymnastic skills that can rival a soviet gymnast.
    Technically this game is solid as the Hell's gates and on PS5 is really a pleasure to play, with the last patch you can choose now between ray tracing or 4K resolution , frame rate is always stable no matter how many rockets, demon limbs    The Doomguy is back, full of anger, lust to eviscerate demons and wanting to show off his impressive gymnastic skills that can rival a soviet gymnast.
    Technically this game is solid as the Hell's gates and on PS5 is really a pleasure to play, with the last patch you can choose now between ray tracing or 4K resolution , frame rate is always stable no matter how many rockets, demon limbs and explosions are shown.

    The campaign has the perfect duration and takes you through levels with a completely different atmosphere, medieval inspired ,alien, hellish, etc. while blowing up the classical doom demons and some few new ones. The difficult level is really well adjusted and every one apart from the easiest is challenging and rewarding.
    The structure of the game is basically the same as with the Doom 2016, traversing an intricate level with arenas full with demons while searching for collectibles/upgrades.
    Eternal has filled up the space between arenas with platforming sections to break the monotony and they are interesting but I personally disliked them because for me they did not fit the ambience well and were just places to potentially lost a live or get your armour/health reduced before the next arena.

    Due to my personal taste this game is a step below 2016 because I liked the tone, music, demon design and atmosphere there more, closer to the horrific Doom3. Eternal has more Doom2/Quake3 vibes with a more vivid colour palette. Also some new demons like the Marauders are interesting to fight the first 3 times you cross them, but the 14th time they are just annoying and break the combat flow.

    Nevertheless is an excellent boomer shooter that you should not let pass.

    If you liked DOOM 2016, then DOOM Eternal is going to satisfy you. There's some slight differences and some new mechanics that make it feel more modern. While I prefer the old school style of DOOM 2016 for the simplicity, Eternal is still an amazing addition to the series.

    While the story is trying to take itself seriously and it really doesn't work, it's not an important part of the game anyway. It gets a bit frustrating at times but once you understand how everything works, it plays like a dream and it's undoubtedly one of the highlights of the game.
    Another highlight of the game is the music; it feels like it's part of the gameplay, and it's awesome!
    Also, the graphics and the audio design are amazing too.
    Despite being a solid FPS game though, DOOM Eternal features platforming elements, however, they're not executed well; there's too much unnecessary platforming.

    Pros:
    + Exciting, fluid & challenging gameplay
    + Fantastic music
    + Beautiful visuals

    Cons:
    - Very weak narrative
    - Excessive amount of platforming

    If you like feeling like a complete and udder badass making demons cry at the mere mention of your name, then get this game. However, one thing i must add is even though the game offers a very good challenge on its hardest difficulty, once you beat it you are basically done with the game. Its a one and done type of game however offers a very good experience.

    Instead of just seeing targets, they see priorities. Instead of just dodging, they're thinking about the order of their actions, which resources to manage, how to most effectively keep them up, when to engage, when to run, and who to kill first. Every encounter is like a new puzzle to solve.

    Every arena consists of two categories of enemies; fodder, and heavies. Fodder enemies, typically imps, soldiers, and gargyoles, are hardly threats. They have small health pools, make little effort to dodge your attacks, and generally go down in a few small-arms shots. However, they serve a different purpose; they are easy prey to use your various resource-management abilities on. Use a glory kill on one to get health back, use a chainsaw to get ammo, or use the flame belch to get armor. Because these enemies are quick to kill, respawn indefinitely, and pose little threat, they exist not as targets, but as resource nodes to fall back on after running your guns dry, or getting low on health and armor. No; in a given arena, the real threat are the heavies.

    The heavies and super heavies are the real center of an arena. Unlike fodder, they have much larger health pools, more mobility, and generally much more dangerous attacks. The doomslayer's priority on entering any arena is killing the heavies as fast as possible. Doing so is not always so cut and dry; each heavy usually has a unique weakness or strategy to exploit, with which the doomslayer must respond to accordingly: cacodemons can be made to swallow a sticky bomb with precise timing, staggering them instantly; the hell knight has a particular weakness to the chaingun, making him falter more than any other weapon; and the most contentious enemy of all, the marauder, must be fought one-on-one in a very particular manner, countering his attacks and staying at a specific range. Taking all of this into account while fighting the heavies, as well as considering your ammo, health, and armor, and where the nearest fodder enemies are should you need to temporarily retreat and restock, makes up the bulk of the game's combat loop. Mess up once on nightmare, and you're a dead doomslayer.

    That's not to say you don't need a good base in FPS skill to play this game well; actually hitting your targets is just as important as knowing which targets to shoot. That skill floor might put off some less experienced fps players. But if you think you can handle it, the challenge DOOM Eternal presents is well worth it.    … Expand

    Ripping and tearing through demons in DOOM Eternal is a great time! The mix of platforming and combat is extremely well done, and I enjoy it a lot! The soundtrack gets you perfectly into the mood for wrenching off the heads of demons and punching through walls, and the overall sound design does a great job overall.

    Probably the most fun single player fps campaign out there right now.
    Quick switching and mastering weapon combos and tactics makes the game immensely replayable and in-depth.
