    Doom Eternal gets a 0 from me for SEVERAL reasons.
    The first one being The marauder. now to preference. i'm good at the game. I can kill the marauder and not have an issue doing so. the issue for me personally is that i don't like being TOLD when to pull the trigger. he is, quite literally, a massive game of Red-Light (Shield) Green-Light (eye glow).
    The other problem i have is them    Doom Eternal gets a 0 from me for SEVERAL reasons.
    The first one being The marauder. now to preference. i'm good at the game. I can kill the marauder and not have an issue doing so. the issue for me personally is that i don't like being TOLD when to pull the trigger. he is, quite literally, a massive game of Red-Light (Shield) Green-Light (eye glow).

    The other problem i have is them sponging up the enemy to have WAAAYYYY Too much health. while all the while choking you for ammo. Yeah, i know that the chainsaw now exists. but now instead of jumping into the fray with my chainsaw ready to tear a demon a new **** with my chainsaw, i'm running AWAY from the fight to find a conveniently placed imp or zombie to get my ammo back. and i'm doing this EVERY OTHER MINUTE. which, suffice to say, breaks the loops of combat and puts you in positions that you'd really rather not be in. often ending with you getting raped in a corner by 15+ demons at once.

    Oh and did i mention there's also an INCREDIBLE amount of enemies per level and you'll often have waves spawning overtop one another which only adds to the problem. oh what's that? use the BFG and Unmayker? Yeah, i would. IF I HAD AMMO FOR IT, AND IF IT DID ANYTHING. The BFG no longer kills everything it passes through anymore. which is QUITE annoying and underwhelming.

    all of this is compounded as well by movement canceling and knockback combined with screenshake so that way your feet are effectively planted to the floor.

    I don't like being told when to shoot, and i don't like having control over my character taken away.

    Oh yeah, and the BFG is on the scroll wheel now and not on it's own dedicated button.

    so yes. you will accidentally switch to it and panic fire it on an imp or zobie when you really just wanted your shotgun. it will happen, several times.

    AND I HATE BEING PULLED OUT OF COMBAT EVERY SINGLE TIME TO BE GIVING A 1 ON 1 TUTORIAL DEAR HOLY **** DO THESE TUTORIALS BREAK THE ****ING FLOW. WREEEE And yes i turned them off and you wanna know what happened? when the witches that possess demons showed up I had no idea how to deal with them with the ghostbuster style microwave beam that was useless in the main campaign. so when the final boss came round, i spent literally 30 minutes just fighting before pausing and googling. so yeah THE TUTORIALS ARE QUITE NESSACARY. they stayed off though and i thankfully didn't have anything like that occur again.

    But it would have been so much better if they put us in scenarios where, maybe you see someone do something similar with them. there is a thing called Show don't Tell. and this game needs to learn to shut the everloving **** up.

    I like the fact that you have a nice base of operations, i like the collectibles and secrets, I like the fact that you can break away your enemies' armor. and i LOVE the fact that you can target weakpoints to shoot off to make them less of a threat! However, everything else that i listed is SO profound that all these few good things i mentioned are null and void.

    AND THE FINAL BOSS OF THE ANCHIENT GODS WAS SO BAD! HE WAS SO SO BAD! he was just a glorified Marauder who regains health when he hits you HE'S THE MOST STALE FIGHT I'VE EVER SEEN EVER. AND I'M PLAYING DOOOOM AGHGHHHHHHH HHAA

    I want to love this game i genuinely do but this game does everything so backward. making itself harder for the sake of making it harder. unessacrly spongey enemies. Choking you for ammo and changing the entire gameplay loop simply by changing how the chainsaw and ammo is dolled out made me so bored and annoyed that i've played the game once out of respect and now i will put the game down and never touch it again.    … Expand

    Worthy sequel to Doom 2016. Improves on just about everything that made the first game great, but the added complexity causes some issues.

    There is a bit of a disconnect between the speed of the game and how many options you have at any given point, especially as the game progresses. You have so many tools at your disposal, and so many resources to manage that it can slow you down. This    Worthy sequel to Doom 2016.     So as someone who absolutely loves Shooters and especially Competitive ones that challenge you to be fully focused and improve in what you are doing... this Game is just for you!
    Are you tired and sick of having to rely on teammates in Competitive Shooters to get the most out of your fun?
    Then play this game, you will have the same Level of Challenge but you rely on nobody but yourself.    So as someone who absolutely loves Shooters and especially Competitive ones that challenge you to be fully focused and improve in what you are doing... this Game is just for you!

    Then play this game, you will have the same Level of Challenge but you rely on nobody but yourself.

    As for the Music of this Game, one could say you buy an album and the Game comes as a Bonus!

    Story could be argued about, but it is all a matter of preference, to me it is a sweet addition to a Game that does not even need a Story.

    What can i say, just buy this Game, you will not regret it!

The gameplay is absolutely flawless, and it makes you feel incredible as you move through perfectly made maps at superhuman speeds with powerful and unique weapons. Nothing can describe the satisfaction you get when you chainsaw a demonic soldier in half, rip out a Cacodemons eyeball andThere is absolutely nothing like this game. The gameplay is absolutely flawless, and it makes you feel incredible as you move through perfectly made maps at superhuman speeds with powerful and unique weapons.     This game slaps ass. Seriously, if you want to have a fun time, buy it. Much better than Doom 2016 and that game was also amazing.

    The best way I could describe this game is that it is pure testosterone fueled mayhem. The music is great, the gameplay is great, and the graphics are great. You actually start to feel sorry for the demons in the game as you rip and tear your way through everything. 10/10 would play again.

    Brilliant, fast paced and pure FPS. I have been playing doom since around 1996. I play through Ultimate and Doom 2 yearly and this game easily scratches the same itch.

    This is my favorite game! The gameplay is fast paced and have a lot of emphasis on movement. All enemies and weapons are very well designed and fits into the combat loop nicely. You need to have good situational awareness and plan your attack within a few seconds of entering an arena, and good ammo management is very important or else you will be running out of ammo a lot.     This game is incredible, insane graphics, plenty on customization options to tailor to your play style, a gr8 soundtrack. I really cant say enough good things about this game.

    This game is a MUST have:
    1: Graphics are AMAZING I have never seen a more detailed, crisp and dark environment like this before.
    2: It´s optimised as hell
    3: Story hella great
    4: Pacing: EXCELENT pacing, with intense battles and a great story
    5: Glory kills: Do I even have to say something?

    This is what a quality game is. This is without a doubt my favorite game. I've bought this game in its entirety 2 times and have played the campaign at least 5 times since its release. There is not a single thing i dislike about this game, it can present a real challenge at times.

    This is the best dang DOOM you are going to find. The combat whips ass, and so does everything else. The lore is enormously stupid but in the way that the liner notes to a prog metal album are enormously stupid, which is to say it fun and rules. If this game were a person I would marry them immediately.

    I struggle to find anything to take issue with. After a decent learning curve, de-programming    Eternal is gold. It takes the best parts of 2016, amps all of it up, and tosses in various new mechanics resulting in a game that is so exhilarating, fast paced, and gruesome that you just can't look away. All of the controls are tight, the game runs well, that incredible soundtrack is back...

    I struggle to find anything to take issue with. After a decent learning curve, de-programming previous DOOM muscle memory and play styles, you get into such a flow of ripping and tearing. It's satisfying and thrilling.

    I can't recommend it enough. If you're on the fence, just go for it. Give it a chance. And enjoy.    … Expand

    IT IS BY FAR THE BEST GAME I HAVE EVER PLAYED IN YEARS!! My dad played the original doom back in 1997 so i wanted to play this game to carry on his legacy.

    This is what video games should be. Fast, precise, wide array of gameplay, tactics if you want; a good story thats makes sense for the overall pacing and has very interesting lore thats told through the environment n such. Ambient audio, etc. They put heart into it - its fun. Truly fun.

    I'm posting this review since it will permanently say that I had 69 hours at time of review. Good game, fun core gameplay loop, decent-ish story, well optimized. Very very very rarely drop frames outside of Super Gore Nest even with most settings on Ultra-Nightmare and in the year and a bit that I've been playing it on and off its never crashed on me. If you like fast shooters that aren'tI'm posting this review since it will permanently say that I had 69 hours at time of review. Good game, fun core gameplay loop, decent-ish story, well optimized. Very very very rarely drop frames outside of Super Gore Nest even with most settings on Ultra-Nightmare and in the year and a bit that I've been playing it on and off its never crashed on me. A violent, gore-filled love letter to FPS gamers everywhere, DOOM Eternal will have you reinstalling it months later to relive the glory kills, chainsaw more Imps, and BFG your way to hell (and heaven) and back.
