Sep 22, 2014Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes (2.0 Edition) is a great, family friendly game all around.
-
Sep 23, 2014Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes (2.0 Edition) takes last year’s tested formula and adds new features like leveling characters, streamlined editing tools for the Toy Box, and a cast of characters straight from your favorite Marvel comics and movies. While the new Play Sets are only a modest improvement over the ones from last year, the Toy Box is even more amazing, making this the perfect place for those wanting to express their creativity.

Playstation Official Magazine AustraliaSep 19, 2014Well worthy of the 2.0 in its moniker. Bigger, bolder and bursting with unlockables and emergent DIY fun. [November 2014, p75]
-
Sep 25, 2014Disney Infinity has made some massive strides this year, improving on several features that were left in a rough state when the game debuted. Some of those corners are still feeling like they’ve been ignored, but the game does a fine job in promoting that creative spark amongst the younger members of the family.
-
Oct 8, 2014The second installment in Disney Infinity's franchise is more mature and complete, with a bunch of interesting new features regarding character development. Fun for the kids despite not so impressive graphics and a lack of variety in Avengers' main story mode.
-
Sep 21, 2014With video games being blamed for stunting imaginations in young minds, it’s refreshing to see a game that promotes a creative spark.
-
Oct 30, 2014If your wallet can handle the on-going need for new figures, play sets and power discs that this game desperately needs in order to fully deliver its goods, then by all means by this for your kid.
-
Play UKOct 19, 2014The vastly improved Toy Box allows for some incredible player creations. [Issue#249, p.66]
-
Sep 29, 2014Assuming you're willing to shell out the money for the experience, any Disney-loving kid will have fun with this title.
-
Sep 24, 2014Disney Infinity 2.0 has made some big strides from the original release. There is a ton to do, especially when you dig into the toy box, which should keep fans occupied for a long, long time. Things are just a little complicated for the younger gamers to do all on their own.
-
Sep 22, 2014In almost every way Disney Infinity 2.0 earns its sequel badge as it has improved on the original.
-
Sep 19, 2014It may not revolutionize, but Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes 2.0 Edition firmly establishes the property in the gaming landscape.
-
Sep 18, 2014Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes is still an excellent upgrade to both the single player and content aspects of the game.
-
Sep 18, 2014Depending on what you want from Disney Infinity 2.0 Edition you’ll either be underwhelmed or overjoyed. Maybe both. You can see exactly where improvements have been made, and where the series still needs to grow. We’re disappointed in the lack of diversity from the available Playsets, but there is still a ridiculous amount of stuff to collect, and it’s now more accessible, customizable, and fun than ever.
-
Sep 18, 2014There is plenty to keep even the most ravenous Marvel/Disney fan busy for a long time.
-
Sep 18, 20142.0 feels like a natural evolution, and that's a good thing if you liked the original.
-
Sep 18, 2014A complicated beast, and easy to write off as a money grab for this lucrative new market created by Skylanders. However, see the game in the hands on young players and the different pieces fit together coherently.
-
Oct 7, 2014The addition of Marvel superheroes isn't quite enough to make Disney Infinity feel super yet.
-
Sep 25, 2014With 2.0, Infinity has become a little more adult, thanks to a deeper fighting- and level-system, a more expansive Toy Box with a lot more possibilities and the addition of multiple types (‘genres’) of games, which can be created as well as played. It’s a shame that the single-player content has become less exhaustive compared to the former Starter Pack, otherwise this was a big win on every front. Not in the least because of the emphasis on Marvel Heroes.
-
GamesBeatSep 19, 2014This one has the potential to have some staying power in your living room, as long you don’t mind coughing up some money to feed the beast.
-
CD-ActionJan 9, 2015It’s a game for kids, therefore it doesn’t surprise you with complexity, but the figures are awesome. [13/2014, p.43]
-
Playstation Official Magazine UKNov 16, 2014It's just a shame that the gameplay at the heart of its Story content hasn't pushed on. [Dec 2014, p.83]
-
Nov 4, 2014The game suffers from a few technical hiccups in frame rates and broken quests, but there’s a wealth of content here waiting to be unleashed by your own imagination.
-
Oct 12, 2014Despite some improvements, Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes is still a very basic action game beside to an intricate and frustrating editor. The atmosphere and charm of the characters are still not enough to convince us about the quality of the franchise.
-
Oct 10, 2014The Marvel-expansion is the biggest addition, though there's a hell of a lot more new stuff to experience in this Disney-flavoured sequel. It's still not great though; the graphics are disappointing, the loading times rather long and the co-op mode unresponsive. Still, if you love Disney and Marvel... why the hell not.
-
Sep 26, 2014The Lego games have shown that kid-friendly games can have a fantastic creative spark, but Disney appears to err on the side of safety.
-
Sep 24, 2014Overall, 2.0 may not have the impact of the original but it’s still one of the best “toys to life” gaming experiences on the market.
-
Sep 23, 2014Disney Infinity 2.0 Marvel Super Heroes is a step backwards for the Disney franchise. The Starter Pack gives only one Play Set and the gameplay in more flat and straightforward. Toy Box 2.0, on the other hand, is still a lot of fun and gives players a lot of tools to increase game longevity.
-
Sep 22, 2014It still has some legacy issues, but the improvements go a long way. The Marvel fan-service, along with the constant small moments of delight and whimsy, more than make up for a few remaining weak spots.
-
Sep 22, 2014A nearly game; good ideas and intentions scuppered by a desire to cram in as much stuff as it can. Yet despite this, Infinity still provides a lot of fun.
-
Sep 19, 2014Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes features more variety than its predecessor, but the campaign content included in the base set is still quite repetitive.
-
Sep 19, 2014It’s going to cost you a fortune, though, because once you start to enjoy dashing through the air as Iron Man, you’ll want more of those pricey heroes to throw into your game, because they’re wonderful little toys that look and feel good.
-
Sep 18, 2014It takes time and actual, honest-to-goodness skill to make anything remotely playable, which makes the new additions to Toy Box in 2.0 extremely welcome ones.
-
Sep 19, 2014Uneven and undercooked, Disney Infinity 2.0 isn’t the major upgrade I expected. It lacks the playful fun and diversity that made Infinity 1.0 so great last year.
-
Sep 18, 2014The end result is a tale of two games: One that crushes the dreams of people hoping to wear spandex or a cape, and another that gives artists and creators more power. Stay away if your hopes lie with finally playing a great Avengers or Guardians of the Galaxy game. Come play if your ambitions lie mostly with building worlds.
-
Oct 22, 2014As with its competitor Skylanders, it’ll cost you a fortune to get the most out of the game – but if you’ve already invested in this franchise, there’s no reason to hesitate over assembling those Avengers.
-
Oct 16, 2014Bland missions, exiting toy box.
-
Oct 8, 2014Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes improves on the problems of the last game but still has a bit to go. The concept is as genius as ever with the toy box mode as it's biggest source of value and fun. Too bad you have to play the lazy campaign to unlock stuff for it.
-
Oct 1, 2014While fundamental gameplay problems make it difficult to create a truly exceptional gaming experience, Disney Infinity 2.0's real strength lies in the creation aspect itself, something which makes it ideal for a younger audience.
-
Sep 30, 2014If you can handle the rough and ready and are focused squarely on making your own content, there’s something in here for you. If not, ignore Infinity 2.0 and hope Avalanche iron out the kinks for next year’s release.
-
Sep 29, 2014It’s not a great all-around experience but it gives you the tools to make some memorable moments.
-
Sep 25, 2014We thought Disney would address some of the problems Disney Infinity had. Unfortunately, that's not exactly the case and it's logical with only a few months of development. Adventure packs remain the same, the game's still disappointing visually and the gameplay is far too uneven. Nevertheless, you'll enjoy playing those super heroes, above all, with their interesting capacities.
-
Sep 19, 2014A game of two halves: the new Marvel adventure is awful but the improved Toy Box is good enough to inspire kids to make something much better themselves.
-
Sep 29, 2014Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes 2.0 feels like a failed attempt at rushing a game out to cash in on a trending genre, that ultimately suffers from too little development time and polish.
-
Sep 18, 2014Disney Infinity 2.0 tries to do too many things, and ends up not being very good at any of them.
-
Oct 20, 2014Grand Theft Auto may be more graphic, but I'd rather have kids play in that fully realized world, with the wealth of side-missions, beautiful views, and more authentic vehicles, than in this dumbed-down cartoon catastrophe.
