Aug 18, 2023If you love digimon and loved their OG style (aka tamagochi mons), then this is the game for you. Feels like an upgraded digimon world worked from the ground up.
-
May 27, 2023This game is very polarizing and like most other Digimon games is mostly for fans.
A LOT of patience is needed but you will be rewarded for it. Plays slightly like an MMO in some ways, as you must complete your dailies for best results. -
May 18, 2023Coming from Cyber Sleuth, coming back to this game is very disappointing, it's broken in every aspect and the pinnacle of mediocrity.
-
May 18, 2023One of the worst Digimon games out there, they shouldn't have remastered it.

Aug 7, 2022This is a blast of a game that will give you tons to do it’s not perfect but it’s great and addicting.

Jul 27, 2022This game is very fun but very challenging. It doesn't explain any of the main core training mechanics you need to not make the game feel like a slog. Many people hate it because your digimon don't live forever, they have a decent lifespan after upgrading your tamer talent tree, but half the fun is exploring and see what evolution lines you happen to unlock imo.

Jun 14, 2021One of the best digimon games I've played. Also, it so nice to have it to play in my ps4. I am really enjoying the game, and I will definitely play it over and over. I totally recommend this game!

Dec 20, 2020It's an incredible game, kind of tiring to platinum, but the main story is perfect

Nov 14, 2020Not a game for everyone, it has problems and its a very specific niche. But it is still a great game, very competent in what it want to do, and one of the best Digimon games to date. If you play it, please consider taking breaks and coming back later, its a game about patience and progression.

Jul 19, 2019A great game for fans, but bad for novices.
Positive: the focus of the game is about take care of your partner, and the way you do it interferes at the evolutions. Its the essence of digimon, the reflex of your personality at your partner.
Negative: cruel grind. Up the stats is way too repetitive. -

Feb 19, 2018The best Digimon experience in the current gen. Tons of Digimon to choose from and a nod back to one of the most original monster capturing games combined to bring both old and new generation Digimon lovers joy. The ExE mechanic is a very fun addition that makes for some very climactic scenes. A must-have for any Digimon and JRPG fan.

Dec 19, 2017Cool Game! Looks Great!
The Battle System is a real let down, especially after playing Cyber Sleuth which is so much better in terms of battle system and all around mechanics. -
Oct 14, 2017Very good game and enjoyable game. It was very nostalgic for me due to the fact that I have play every digimon game that was release in the US. One of the best game I very play only thing that was missing for me was the PvP against other players.

Sep 11, 2017With solid JRPG gameplay and surprisingly accessible mechanics, I was shocked by how much I got out of my time with Digimon World: Next Order. I will say, however, that the game will probably be most appreciated by those with a strong affection for whimsical nonsense — two of the game’s main characters are a dignified kung-fu cat and a tiny caveman whose hair completely obscures his features, and the most bizarre transformation involved a spike-shelled walrus evolving into an axe-wielding Frankenstein. This is a solid game, but more than that, it’s a strange one, and that strangeness has to be played to be believed.

Apr 10, 2017After Cyber Sleuth got our expectations real high, Digimon World: Next Order is crushed under those expectations. Although they are parts of two different series, Next Order still feels like an old and less fun game.

Mar 31, 2017Next Order isn’t without flaws, but it's exactly the kind of game the Digimon World series needed after a regional hiatus. While the unconventional combat and grind-heavy skill training aren’t likely to deter fans of the franchise, newcomers might find some of the game's quirks unwelcoming. As such, Digimon World: Next Order likely won’t appeal to everyone, but the game is something longtime fans of the series will have no problem dumping hours upon hours into.
