    Haven't been as disappointed in a game as in Diablo 4 in a long time. For 200 hours, your monotony has pissed me off so much that the first season, without a new plot act or at least a new hero, is just a spit in the face. I supported you for a long time and hoped that you would not let you down, but from today I will not buy anything from your studio again in my life. Such garbage, notHaven't been as disappointed in a game as in Diablo 4 in a long time. For 200 hours, your monotony has pissed me off so much that the first season, without a new plot act or at least a new hero, is just a spit in the face.     The developers seem intent on draining any sense of "fun" out of the game as they seem to focus on the "semi professional" Diablo obsessives who live and breathe different builds. Folks like me have an hour or two a day and love the story and want to simply enjoy the game instead of obsess over it--we're ignored by the developers.     Do NOT buy this game. Critic reviews have not reached end game. Blizzard has ruined the game with nerfs and artificially slowing player progress to a crawl. QoL features are non existent and there is no end game. AVOID THIS GAME LIKE THE PLAGUE

    sometimes we drop several items on the ground and as the backpack is small we don’t want to pick everything up and in the other diablos I could hold the ALT and hover the mouse and have a visualization of the item on the ground without needing to grab it to decide to pick it up or not

    when I watch a video I don’t know if the player is a hardcore player or not, when I go to my friends list to invite someone to join the group, I don’t know if the player is a hardcore player or not, if it were possible to play together, fine, but it’s not It’s possible so I need to know with an icon or other things if he’s playing in normal or hardcore, as was possible in other games of the franchise…

    the very big interface that gets in the way mainly with huge names on the item floor, horrible for those who play on a larger screen and especially in 4k because you usually play close to the screen since you have no problem seeing pixels because it is in 4k (if you play in 4k super far from the screen you are throwing money away yes)

    and I feel that the game is very focused on the experience of the console player and the PC being left aside , what I said above is just a lot of things , there are several others that bother me and that makes me think that it is because as a console player … I want to know when and if they are going to fix the game to make it pleasant for those who play on the pc and make the most of it and when are they going to start respecting the pc player who mainly made the game what it is today it is being spoiled by people not playing the game and all it has to offer. (I’m talking about the amateur devs involved)
    The only thing that makes me think is that the company only listens to what’s easier to do, which will soon make the game fall by the wayside and forgotten like many who go down that path, if that’s not what you want, I’m just sorry , but unfortunately that’s what the game is currently making me feel

    Game if okay for the first 45 levels or so and drops off a cliff right after.If you manage to stay beyond that and build up a playable build, the devs would go on a retarded nerf spree killing your build, rendering the hours you've put in useless.
    If you think you could get a try out the game and get a refund if you didn't like it, nope its not happening.     Game was covered by an awesome story and animations but once you dig deep itemization sucks which was supposed to be the heart of any arpg game such as Diablo. It’s true that the old Blizzard is dead. Pre-season was decent 6/10 but from there just down the drain. Will not pre order Blizzard games on the foreseeable future.

    Don't support this terrible company. You will get exploited, playing their purposefully worse game just so their "engagement numbers" are up for the shareholders. Yuck! Avoid this like the plague.

    First they messed up WoW, then Overwatch, and now Diablo. That was the final nail in the coffin. It's unbelievable. I refuse to support a company that doesn't care about making a good game and just makes changes that make everything worse.

    40 hours in got my first legendary it was underwhelming necro base attack holds you in place you have to dodge to get out of it ruins necro for me diablo 3 necro was better gems fill up inventory quickly get stuck on random invisible walls needs work but fun over all

    The patch ruined the game. It was alright before the patch. Still enjoyable. After the patch? Trash. Hours of upgrades essentially got trashed after the patch.

    As more and more people reached the end game and realized how truly lacking in depth this game really is, the tone amongst Reddit, Twitter, Discord, and Forums started to shift. That was two weeks ago.

    The fact is, people are getting bored. This is an ACTION RPG with slow-paced action. It's a LOOT hunter with boring loot. This is an MMO with no social aspects. A dungeon crawler that feels more like a game of fetching the stones and putting them on the pedestals.

    The cracks are starting to show in the end game, and people feel like we're playing a paid Beta, you decide now is the time to drop a patch that **** on every build. What better way to push everyone over the edge than to nerf everything?

    Damage? NERF
    Defense? NERF
    Cooldown? NERF
    XP? NERF
    Power Leveling? NERF
    Helltide? NERF

    Sure, some builds needed to be fixed, but you didn't have to completely gut entire classes while you were at it. But the nerfs are not even the point of this post. I don't even care about them. I'll adapt and overcome, I'm not afraid of a challenge. But this patch made me really think, why play season 1 at all? You didn't address a single one of the NUMEROUS valid complaints about this game.

    6 new uniques? If you think adding 6 new unique items for every 3 month season is an acceptable pace to bring some depth to the sorely lacking itemization in this game, I might as well not play until season 30.

    No leaderboards? No in-game trading with an option for self-found mode? No paragon board reset? No Occultist changes? (Cost or listing possible outcomes) No group finder? No stash tabs?

    Nothing, in fact. Not a single thing to shine a bit of light on this **** sandwich. You made the game slower. Mobs take longer to kill, and yield less xp, and we're now gated to lower world tiers until the "recommended" (now mandatory) levels of 50 for WT3 and 70 for WT4.

    So on Thursday, we're expected to start over, but this time it's all slower, less fun, time & experience gated. And all to get to the end and realize what an unfinished and lacking game this really is. Again. Still.

    Maybe if you spend less time trying to "balance" a SINGLE PLAYER PVE GAME WHERE NOBODY CARES ABOUT BALANCE, and more time adding things that are actually fun and immersive, you might sell more battle passes and cosmetics.

Not only did they not address ANY of the community concerns (more bank space, Sorcerer survivability, Necromancer minion help), they reduced EVERYTHING… This is a clear bait and switch, they took our money and made game worse.     It's clear that Blizzard has no idea what they're doing. They've completely forgotten how to make a good game, let alone a good arpg. I'm never buying another Blizzard game again. Diablo 4 was a waste of my time and money.

    The campaign was decent, but the developers seem to not know how to balance the game. They simply take the highest usage mechanics and nerf it, but they do not take account for the fun factor. Games are supposed to be fun, but the developers have forgotten that.

    Was "ok" at launch, got this as birthday present from my wife.
    We played perSeason 1 on launch, Patch1.1.0 really fKd this game.

    Just look at any reviews for the patch or reviews here...

    The only good thing about this is the lore and the art like there is obviously bugs still in the game like they released a unfinished product and they scedule to fix bugs and unfun gameplay instead of doing it after they tell us, I'll give them props for atleast telling us what they are going to change now

    I've been waiting so much. I was a fan of D2 and D2-R and even played D3 regularly. I waited. First of all, the game is boring. Secondly, it's hard to play. I'll start with the graphics: I changed the color adjustments, sharpness, and color saturation several times. Nothing helps: maps are poorly readable, characters in cities are almost invisible, ARMOR has barely visible details,I've been waiting so much. I was a fan of D2 and D2-R and even played D3 regularly. I waited. First of all, the game is boring. Secondly, it's hard to play. I'll start with the graphics: I changed the color adjustments, sharpness, and color saturation several times. Nothing helps: maps are poorly readable, characters in cities are almost invisible, ARMOR has barely visible details, including a stash - you can't see what you hover over with the cursor, what is the special symbol, color, etc. Skill tree - graphics hopelessly smaller than game settings, it's hard to see what you choose in the next level. The whole game is grey, unreadable when playing in cities and in combat (and I have good eyesight!). Playability: you see almost no change in damage when you add levels to a skill, getting the items needed to level up your gear - again, the graphics! it takes a lot of effort to see lying items worth collecting during the game, it's best to hit everything you see and it slows down the game. Navigation: tasks (subtitles are especially small, I tried to change them) do not suggest where to go, sometimes you don't know which way to go after leaving the city in order to complete the main task. Script: I don't know what the character is doing. I don't know what motivation he has to look for something and push himself into this nightmare at all, instead of buying a horse and going to warmer countries. Another thing (I thought it affected a small number of people but I read the reviews that it doesn't): the game increases the problems with nausea. In my case, it is possible to play for a maximum of 1.5 hours, then the headache and dizziness begin. I don't know why this happens, it's not my job but with D-2, D-2R and D-3 I've never had such problems. And the price: for such "something" that I don't want to play, I paid 100 dollars. I regret the money spent. I've been waiting so much for this game.… Expand

    Based on the franchise’s history, Diablo IV has large boots to fill, but does an admiral job of meeting this longtime fan’s expectations. Diablo IV maintains the core gameplay that made it popular while combining the best elements of the the previous games. The continuous open world is an improvement over the completely separate acts with an intriguing story that feels more nuanced than the previous entries. All the elements of of a great action RPG are present, most importantly Diablo’s reward loop system where players can spend years playing through new seasons and characters to experiment with different builds and try to collect the best equipment. The gameplay is repetitive and simple but is still a joy to binge play, especially with friends.
