    Great game but still no BattleNet Characters... sorry, while the PC version hits a 9, this version can only get 6 points.I can't understand why Blizzard is doing this?

    Very addictive game! I really enjoyed leveling up and playing this game. Didn't really follow the story, I cared more about the gameplay. The gameplay consists of smashing the controller buttons and just following your health level, if its starts to get low you run away from the battle. Its very primitive. But fun!

    When the game was over, I had an empty feeling. Like I didn't accomplish    Very addictive game! I really enjoyed leveling up and playing this game.     Just finished the game, and now to replay it. It is that good! Story is very basic, bad guys do bad things and you must stop it. It is very basic, but oh man, the demons, the reapers, the loot...oh my!

    I can't believe I'm saying this but this is the Diablo III we asked for. It's far better than the PC version. I can't believe how much fun I'm having.

    Classic Diablo gameplay - which is both this game's strength and weakness. Enemies charge at you in furiously spawning waves, while you grind your character up though the levels and grab ever and ever better kit. Every so often a crazy tough but easily defeated End Of Level Boss will briefly entertain you with their repetitive moves. Local (single screen, multi controller) multiplayer,Classic Diablo gameplay - which is both this game's strength and weakness. Enemies charge at you in furiously spawning waves, while you grind your character up though the levels and grab ever and ever better kit. Every so often a crazy tough but easily defeated End Of Level Boss will briefly entertain you with their repetitive moves. Local (single screen, multi controller) multiplayer, which is a real strength of this game, as well as online - but you can easily defeat all the baddies by yourself or with your choice of AI companion.… Expand

    oh boy, what fun. good ol bird's eye view hack and slash. reminds me of the old days with gauntlet legends. haha. but seriously, this game keeps on giving... every once in a while they just come out with a free expansion that just makes the game challenging and fun all over again. Also, if you are a loot hunter, this game is for you.

    The game has a ton of things to do and explore, and a very long progression. Combat is fun and intense, but becomes very repetitive too. The plot of the story felt quite unsubstantial, I played it 3 times and never really followed its thread. However I think the game's attractiveness lies in the addictive character and gear progression. Which is what will keep you playing it.     All the things I hated from Diablo 3 at release time have been patched or highly improved with Reaper of Souls, making it be the game it should have been at release. I still don't understand how come in 2014 we can't rotate the camera in a game.     Diablo III is a fun game that offers unique rpg elements in terms of customization, classes and dungeon diving. All in all, the story is entertaining, but certainly isn't ground breaking. You get to choose from 6 different classes, although that's the most depth you'll get other than choosing your gender. Repetition might be fun for some, and for those people Diablo III will not disappoint. Personally, I grew tired of jumping into a dungeon, killing off enemies, fighting a boss, and then reporting back to town for a lackluster reward. The real rewards in Diablo III come from fighting enemies on a hard difficulty setting and looting them for better equipment. The enemies will grow old though, and the constant back and fourth of the entire game may very well leave you disappointed. All in all, not a bad game, but nothing worthy of an above average rating imo.… Expand

    I will describe Diablo III in three words: pointless dungeon crawler. I was a big fan of Diablo 1 and 2 but this?! This is a big disappointment. I can't believe that Blizzard is calling this a Diablo game. Awful job. If you enjoy shallow story, repetitive hack'n'slash and lots of loot, then this game is for you. Diablo 2 is loved by many. But part 3 falls short in too many ways.

    There are only realy 2 things it has going for it, the first being the many different kinds of attack moves the player can choose from. You get a fair amount of moves on each class and each move can be adjusted (sometimes quite drastically in function and appearance) by 5 runes. The other thing that it has going for it is the interesting loot system, once you get to the endgame that is. Legendary items are fun to collect and extract abilities from to equip through other means as well. Legendary abilities can be quite creative and fun.

    Everything else about the game falls short, the storytelling, the cutscenes, the graphics, the music. But their biggest sin is the lack of a real challenge in this game. This game lacks any kind of real balance. You see, many games will design a game in such a way that things can actually go wrong because you made a mistake during combat. In Diablo 3, however, if you die it's probably just because you have to pick a lower difficulty level (out of the currently 17 available to you, yes you heard that right). And even if you do die the loss is completely negligible and you can just respawn right where you died. The only time you'll manage to find a challenge anywhere in the game is during rifts where the clock can become your enemy. The player is completely overpowering every enemy in the game, and the enemies fail to ever fight you in a very interesting way. They only really have two ways of attacking.. one of them just being attacking you directly, which you should survive (again, or just lower the difficulty level) the other is with targeting rings (from boss type enemies) on the ground you should avoid.

    In conclusion, this game does not offer up enough variety in its gameplay to keep the game interesting. The attack moves are fun, and quite varied. But cool attack moves with no real challenge on its own should not make up an entire game. The game being a grind is one thing, but it also being a grind with no real purpose, challenge, or variety.. makes it such a waste of your time.    … Expand

    To me, this is the diablo RoS as it should have been.
    With trade, gifts, no full online. Local coop is FUN. No seasons ad no leaderboard, but i don't miss them.

    Yes, it's full of online modders/ cheaters, beware ; so, if you plan go on public matches, have a backup first.
    Better to have a list of trusted friends and play together.

    This is the definitive version of diablo 3 , graphics look even crisper , the added content will keep you coming back for more , overall its an amazing and addicting game , enough said

    The failings of the PC version removed. That was a great start. Addition of support for 4 players on one console was the best idea they made with this title. Graphics are great even on my 60". I kind of ignored the story after act 2 because it's pretty basic.

    What a surprise ! The game is so enjoyable to play and watch
    Graphically it's gorgeous and finally never tired to restart a mission in multiplayer

    The game isn't perfect. It is however one of the best games on next gen right now. The loot is the perfect balance of chasing the carrot and getting a carrot. If you enjoy dungeon crawls with friends or randoms this is for you. It can be as casual or hardcore as you want it to be.

    Probably not worth $60 dollars if you already own D3 on PC or the old gen. However, if you are a hardcore    The game isn't perfect. It is however one of the best games on next gen right now.     Own this game on PS3, PC and PS4. PS4 is the best version of the game. Graphics and controls are MUCH better than PC version. I play it on a 43" 4K TV that I use as my computer monitor and also have my PS4 hooked up to and it looks great.

    Oh did I mention there is no load times? Graphics are nothing to write home about but this is a game that is all about the gameplay. And the LOOT of course.

    A bit late but I have finally played it. Diablo 3 is a solid hack-slashed game but not as good as Diablo 2. It run well on PS4. Game mechanic is still fun as always. Storyline is good too. The major problem is the difficulty that is SUPER EASY if compared to Diablo 2 or 1. I played as Barbarian and I wrecked everything in my path like breeze. On normal mode, I never died, no boss can putA bit late but I have finally played it. Diablo 3 is a solid hack-slashed game but not as good as Diablo 2. It run well on PS4. Game mechanic is still fun as always. Storyline is good too. The major problem is the difficulty that is SUPER EASY if compared to Diablo 2 or 1. I played as Barbarian and I wrecked everything in my path like breeze. On normal mode, I never died, no boss can put up a good fight with me. The fight always ended in 3-10 sec. Only the final boss can endure my attack a bit longer than that but still no challenge. If not because I wanted to know the story, I would have quit halfway . I started a second playthough with Wizard on hard mode, it felt better this time but still easy. Diablo 3 ditched out many good mechanics from Diablo 2, such as NO UP SKILL and STAT, no health potion (Drinking potion becomes a skill that has cool down.) No mana potion eithter (it regenerate itself), free town portal and identifying scroll (so what's the point of identification then ?). There are a lot of tools for you too use. Very few AI companions (only 3 from story and 2 are guys), no hiring system anymore.

    The game is still fun nonetheless, that is why I give it 8/10. I suggest start playing with hard difficulty if you want some little challenges.    … Expand

    I've played the PC and PS4 versions extensively and while the PC version is better overall the PS4 version is definitely a solid port and the game plays wonderfully with a controller. The main negatives compared to the PC version are:

    - No seasons - Not online only so a lot of people cheat by using modded gear so you need to be careful who you play with - Nephalem Glory gives double    I've played the PC and PS4 versions extensively and while the PC version is better overall the PS4 version is definitely a solid port and the game plays wonderfully with a controller.     The game is constantly being updated and the updates are coming quicker and quicker to PS4 so there's not much disparity between PC and PS4 these days, the amount of free content they've added is quite impressive and they don't seem to be slowing down any time soon. There's endless replay value so I don't think you'll get more bang for your buck elsewhere considering how cheaply you can get this game now.    … Expand

I must say I found it a bit too easy on Normal mode dying maybe once, twice max, and crucifying the bosses with ease, however the pull with Diablo is to keep coming back and back and back.
    Performance-wise its spectacular running at 60fps I haven't noticed any issues or glitches and the controls are smooth, responsive and easy to use (I wish the recently released Wasteland 2: Director's Cut would've taken a page out of Diablo's book when it comes to controls and menu navigation). Sound and voice acting, from the crunches to the dialogue are excellent and it may be story light however what has been written fits the game perfectly well.
    There is reason this game has been given 100s of rave reviews and that's because it is that good, it doesn't get old, you just take a break from it and dive back in for more a while later.    … Expand

    First thing first / i played diablo III on PC first , the played it on x360 , and now again im playing it on PS4 this game takes me with him every where he goes , im enjoying like my childhood when im playin diablo , blizzard knows what he is doing- this game simply deserve 10 and i recommend it to all diablo lovers

    They have updated this game to hell. I got a legendary item belonging to the first boss before I even got to him..... god this is lifeless. You can stand still without taking damage, it feels like a dead MMO

    Okay the PS4 is the 4th console I have played this through on. I played it first on PC on release, it was the first Diablo I played and I liked it on PC, but wasn't hooked. Then it came out on console I played it on PS3 and 360, and the game was even better. I'm not saying PC is terrible, but on PC you had to click where you went, the hot keys just weren't that great. The controllerOkay the PS4 is the 4th console I have played this through on. I played it first on PC on release, it was the first Diablo I played and I liked it on PC, but wasn't hooked. Then it came out on console I played it on PS3 and 360, and the game was even better. I'm not saying PC is terrible, but on PC you had to click where you went, the hot keys just weren't that great. The controller mapping on console was surprisingly phenomenal, and they added evasion with the right stick which wasn't that big of a deal but could save your life. Then last but definitely the best console I have played it on is the PS4. There are many new features, the 3 most impressive are the mailing, nemesis, and gifts. They added mailing so you can mail your friends items or gold. Nemesis system is that if you or your friend were to die, the character that killed you will become stronger and appear in one of your friends games. The way you know they're going to become a nemesis is that when they kill you, they will jump into a red rift and disappear then you know they're going to a friends game. You also get warning of when a nemesis is about to appear in your game which is intense and you're ready to fight. Some dark and omniscience music will play, your controller will vibrate like something big is making footsteps (like a T-Rex from Jurassic Park), then you will see what I like to call a blood rift and out comes the creature. If you kill this creature your friend will receive a gift. Which leads me to the gift system, occasionally monsters will drop an item that says gift for (friend) and then you can pick it up and send it to them. It is usually a legendary item. Diablo 3 has become my favorite game and in my opinion is by far the best out there. A lot of people do not like dungeon crawlers, but to me this is the greatest game made so far. There are many rare events and so many things I still haven't seen. Now about the graphics they may not be the greatest, but they are not as bad as everyone says. If you just walk through and area take a look at the background detail it is actually fairly impressive. I highly recommend this game especially if you were ever a fan of Dark Alliance, or Champions on the Playstation 2.… Expand

    This game is easily the best couch co-op game for your PS4. I did play it for PC but it didn't hook me at launch, and I hadn't played the previous iterations. That being said I haven't had this much fun in a game of this genre since playing Baldur's Gate on GCN. Yes the story isn't wonderful, and the graphics may not be mind boggling that that's not the point. This game    Probably a 9.5.

    I am really having tons of fun with this, Its hard to put this down one you start, Its that good..... I cant wait to crawl the dungeons tonight and see whats around the next corner and what loot may come around. Awesome game.

    I echo the sentiment of a good value buy. Perhaps wait for further price drops even still... Console players who have yet to try Diablo or similar dungeon crawlers might enjoy this thoroughly. I'd recommend watching bits n pieces of a lp if ya don't know what to expect.

    I played as a wizard on both PC and Console, and this character is really not optimized for the console: all AoE spells but one (black hole at lvl 61) are useless, you can't really aim in the console version, also no free button binding, and finally the useless aim button. Having the title on PC also, it's really made me aware of just how much more care and polish Blizzard have put into the console Ultimate edition. The framerate has never dipped for me, despite being what looks like high PC settings. The added tweaks to the controls are most welcome. It also drops loot smartly and contrary to what many say, the managing your inventory with the console UI isn't difficult. You can learn it in no time.

    Sadly, I don't know if the game will get many updates. The PC version has a season ladder and other end game content added lately that I'm not sure will make it into this new gen version. That keeps me from rating the game a 10, it just seems a bit divisive on Blizzard's part. I can understand making a new control scheme and UI that works with the console but why not make sure each version has the same content? If ever they do update the new gen version, I may change my score. I don't believe the last-gen owners even got a choice to upgrade to ROS without buying the game again, so it doesn't look good for any future updates.

    In the end, best version of what has become a great game after a terrible launch.    … Expand

While it was enjoyable, it was plagued with problems from launch that made playing the game more of a chore.

    Fast forward to the PS4 launch and I've rediscovered my love for Diablo and this entry in particular. The game is massive and the customization options make the journey to leveling up fun and interesting. Most of the problems from the PC release have been addressed and either corrected or tweaked to preserve balance while providing a user-friendly experience. Graphics are nice, but obviously doesn't push any boundaries - but this game isn't about being pretty, it's about the game play. The story is mostly good vs. evil based and is fairly predictable and basic, but again, the game play and the quest for loot and the next level keep you hooked.    … Expand

I was playing Alienation which is really good game but I started to reminiscing D3 and in comparision Alienation is simple, unpolished and well only the setting is better - and thats only because I'm more into sci-fi.

Yes you can increase the difficulty, but then you get better loot almost immediately that takes it back to being a button-mashing exercise... I don’t remember what difficulty level I was at but it was somewhere in the upper half ( the developer leaves it completely to the player to adjust the difficulty with dozens of difficulty levelsNever understood this game's appeal, it was very easy.     havent played the pc edition but i feel like u arent losing out on anything...greater rifts offer a lot of gameplay if you are done with the main story and like to play with diff characters .....you will spend a good amount of time trying to get the items/sets u want but that is all part of the fun/challenge

    Having had a quick look at standard Diablo 3 on Xbox 360, I think they've made some great amendments to this version.

    MULTIPLAYER - It's been a long while since we've actually had a good, couch coop game. This is where the game earns it's 9/10 for me. It has a brilliant Apprentice System where anyone can play with you and if they are a lower level their stats will be boosted whilst they are in your game. They have made all the right decisions with both the local and online game and that's rare to see nowadays. I've had hours of fun on this game with all my mates.    … Expand

    Very rarely do I spend more than a few hours at a time playing one game but this one just had me coming back for more. My initial play through I played on normal and it just felt way too easy and kinda lame so I decided to bump up the difficulty to the hard and things got way more interesting. I would say a must play for anyone who likes playing dungeon crawlers, rogue likes, RPGs and action games.

    This game is awesome. I play diablo 3 a hour everyday with my wife. There isnt too many choices for local co op gaming in ps4 . This game is enjoyable if you play with your wife.
    in my opinion ps4 version better than pc version. Gaming controls are very practical.

The only complaint I could have is that the game on normal mode is way too easy, but the difficulty can be changed anytime during the gameplay.

    The move from mouse and keyboard to controller flips the game on it's head making it an incredibly enjoyable experience.

    Tonnes of content. Tonnes of achievements to unlock and with a very active developer who are still pouring content into this title (free extra content) this stands as an absolute modern classic.

    I'm new to Diablo but I'm really enjoying this one the dialog is a little stale but that doesn't really take much away from the game for me. There is a lot of customizations as far as weapons, armor, and moves that aren't overly complicated to switch around for the style you want to achieve. Definitely worth playing.

    I loved Diablo 1 and 2 growing up. I couldn't wait for the remastered ps4 version to come out and when I did it was the first game I got. I've been playing it consistently since the day it released and it still continues to entertain me.

    Blizzard has given this game a LOT of updates over the years and they finally took care of some of the issues with hacked gear in public servers which plagued the console version since its release, and while hacked gear isn't entirely gone it's been reduced significantly.

    They finally released Seasons now also so it gives you a reason to level up a new character each season so if you pass a level 70 Greater Rift you get the seasonal rewards which is pretty awesome. It's no easy task passing a level 70 Greater Rift, let me tell you. I have a 600 paragon non seasonal softcore fire wizard that still has trouble doing level 70 GR's. I like the incentive though.

    The upper ceiling for this game is basically unreachable. They make so many new changes to the gear that a build you have now might be irrelevant in three patches once something better comes out. The constant drive to push just one more greater rift level through new gear with better stat rolls or new paragon levels is what keeps you playing for the long term. Some might get bored, but for me, it's a perfect game to kill an hour on.    … Expand

Nice detail in scenarios and monsters, but doesn't reach the level of addiction that bliizard has accustomed us, but it's not that far to get there. Still good game to play solo or multiplayer, and well elaborated classes.

    I really tried to like this because I liked the original one long ago. But how much can you like a game in which you can't die even on the hardest level. It's almost like this game is made to be the next game kids play after Minecraft. It becomes incredibly repetitive very fast. Also the voice acing is terrible.

    Beautiful looking game. Its major problem is how easy it is. The music, the graphics and actual combat are fantastic and on the money but that desired sense of dread just ain't there. It is epic and not at the same time. Yes, I can hike up the difficulty but for me normal is how the games should be played and difficulty should be adjusted accordingly. Gorgeous game all the same.

I have a twisted admiration of the top grinders of the Season but I was not interesting in engaging with post-endgame "best of the best" theatrics.

    Fantastic, engaging storyline ... but nothing genuine to offer for RPG gamers in the endgame. Its a game to play, enjoy and finish.

    I have no regrets to this year's return, but I have not continued and will not likely return.

    Pra quem gosta do estilo de jogo com visão isométrica, Diablo é o jogo certo. Como aconteceu comigo, ele pode te viciar (estou atualmente no level Paragon 650), porém é sempre a mesma coisa: escolher um modo e... matar monstros até o tempo acabar ou até chegar no chefe... nada mais do que isso... matar monstros, matar monstros, matar monstros...

It is because these games are so **** addictive it is unreal. I never played Diablo 1 or 2, I played 3 on the Xbox 360 and then again when it was originally re-released on the PS4. I must say replaying through this game again is just like when you watch your favorite movie again it; you may know it beat for beat, but it is still an experience you continue to enjoy.

    The story of Diablo 3 is all about the Black Soul Stone, and defeating the last of hells lords. You play as one of six different classes, but ultimately everyone just ends up calling you Nephilim. The story is serviceable it isn't bad, but this isn't the next Lord of the Rings if you know what I mean. For those who've played it time and time again tend to skip all the dialog. It is fully voice acted and has these story drawings inbetween anytime you did something crucial; mostly going through the acts. First timers to this game I would recommend actually listening to the story and diving into it because it is worth at least that.

    The sound in this game is a lot of background noise honestly. It has the sound effects you'd expect, but no real music to it outside of the CGI cutscenes. The voice acting is anywhere from bad to just barely getting the point across. I played as the Crusader who was a new addition to the game on the PS4, and he sounded like he was reading his lines, not the voice acting you'd expect. The game looks good on the PS4, but if you own this on a previous console it isn't a vast enough improvement to go out and grab a new copy.

    The gameplay is a dungeon crawler. What I notice throws some gamers off is the top down perspective, if you are one of those people who have seen gameplay and thought that maybe it wasn't for you. Play it. Seriously go out rent, borrow, steal I don't care just get your hands on it because it is damn near instantaneously addictive. The game keeps you playing mainly on the leveling up and the promise of bigger and better loot. The enemies don't serve much of a serious threat for the most part. This is a lot like playing the lottery. Most of the time you will get either crap or maybe something slightly better, but that one time that you get a legendary item than it sets off those endorphins that make you never want to stop. The game is long and with infinite replay value. I've beaten the game on two of the 12 difficulty settings. Each setting doesn't just make the game harder but it gives you better and better loot. The level max is 70 but it doesn't stop there with the paragon levels you can continue to make your character into a unstoppable killing machine. Then you add the Reaper of Souls on this and you get one helluva game experience.

    It is safe to say Diablo has something that few games are able to muster. I play it for so long my eyes turn bloodshot and I realize that I was dehydrated. Overall while the story is serviceable, and the sound is just noise, the graphics being good for what it is (excluding Blizzard Cutscenes). The gameplay is why people love the Diablo series and if you are new to Diablo 3 or just want to play it again this remastered game will not steer you wrong. I give this a 4.5/5.     very well made and polished game. I don't normally play this type of game but game Diablo a go and it was great! if this is your type of game im sure you would love it.

    Really good game for players who enjoys loot hunting and local coop games. Story is good although not that long but still really good. I just wish the necromancer class was not a separate purchase though but it is what it is, Activision just messed up an almost perfect Diablo game. Thankfully the season updates keep the game fresh and interesting to play again so give it a shot and IReally good game for players who enjoys loot hunting and local coop games.     simply amazing game love the graphics love the effects new characters in series is so amazing there is no weak point in the game but game is bit easy.traps should be more effective and if you just go play on torment+ you just randomly die but just lovley piece of Masterpiece !

    Excellent game on the PS4! Played on a 10' projection screen and it was an awesome experience. Loved every part of it, the atmosphere, the gameplay, the level designs, all of it was so good. This is game you can play over and over again - can't wait for the next one!

Reaper of Souls changed all that, and it was an excellent package. Story was cool, new bosses and areas were great, and the music was awesome.     I'd been watching a friend play this a lot lately and decided to just start from the beginning and run through it with him since he kept asking me to play. I had tons of fun getting trophies and actually found some stuff I didn't know was in the game. I almost maxed out my fresh seasonal monk in the process. Demon Hunters and Monks work really well together.

    Got a game together with a friend for local co-op. The game itself seems absolutely great and fun, all the abilities, magic, item collection etc. feels absolutely great, however, once we found out that that you cannot die without any negative consequences - it kind of killed it of for us altogether.. there is no challenge whatsoever! Hardcore character doesn't fix it either, because it's a permadeath, and once you die (which you will most likely) you have to start from the very beginning.. ot just doesn't fit in my head how they could not make a middle ground between "permadeath" and "god mode".     I played the hell out of Diablo II in the 2000's. In my humble opinion, the gameplay suffers of time-aging. Out there there are a lot of games like this one from little studios and this game doesn't offer very much in term of action. I can't even finish it! Maybe it doesn't match my tastes anymore, i prefer From Software games or Ni-Oh. Art style and Design isn't great It has theI played the hell out of Diablo II in the 2000's.     But there is one serious problems - the game requires grinding too much.
    The world is not massive, in fact there is no    Diablo 3 is great and must-to-play game. Все твои действия не останутся без вознаграждения как минимум ты чуть чуть поднимешь уровень и чуть чуть повысишь силу персонажа. Может быть найдётся и вещь получше.     A very good arpg. Different from D2, but with its own charm. Recomended for any who want to play a great multiplayer game on arpg genre, probably the best experience on its kind.

    Huge throwback to Diablo 2 days playing on my pc
    Bought this on a PS4 for 30 bucks, the whole collection, it felt more like a nostalgic trip than anything majorly new, not that am complaining. The last game worked wonders, and the new npcs added certainly helped enhance the experience.
