I've spent over 100 hours with the original D2, ran bots, etc. Looking forward to this but knew this would in no way match the PC original. No chat, cant browse online games in a lobby. No chat, cant browse online games in a lobby. Matchmaking is difficult & poorly spreads out the fan base playing, making for quite a lonely experience. Progress is hampered not by gameplay or the characters but simply by the difficulty of finding a proper game with others trying to achieve the same tasks. The last con is the binding of both pick-ups & the attack button being the X button. The graphics & shared chests is a nice upgrade. Expand

On one hand: It's Diablo II.
On the other hand: ....It's Diablo II.

Severe technical issues and a distinct lack of design or quality-of-life improvements leave this dusty nostalgia trip choking on the dust and cobwebs from 23 years ago.

For who played the original D2 back in 2000 I can say that this remaster is quite good but not really what I was expecting.

After 4h of gameplay, I saved my progress and turned off my console. When I came back, my character disappeared. During these 4 hours, I returned to the encampment through the scroll of the town portal sometimes and at a certain point, the frame rate dropped

After 4h of gameplay, I saved my progress and turned off my console. When I came back, my character disappeared.

During these 4 hours, I returned to the encampment through the scroll of the town portal sometimes and at a certain point, the frame rate dropped considerably. The game was still playable but, come on, a ps4 pro can't handle it?

The frame rate issue was solved after I restarted the game on my ps4 pro. It wasn't necessary to restart the console, only the game and the frame rate went back to normal.

I couldn't play with an online character because the lag was so high that after I hit an enemy it dies seconds later, so I switched to an offline character then.

Anyway, honestly, it's the same game from 2000 with some improvements in the visuals and I still think that D3 looks better than D2R when it was released.

It's challenging, looks good and controls feel responsive, however, It feels like a cash grab. Server is never available and I have been trying to join a MP game for a while to no avail! Activision/Blizzard need to up their game drastically! They keep making mistake after mistake, and simply trying to join an MP game shouldn't be one of them!

Blizzard certainly achieves its goal to remaster Diablo 2. With slick graphics and solid gamepad support Diablo 2: Resurrected is a more than enjoyable action-RPG. It, however, does show weaknesses in the inventory and user-guidance that come along with the 21 year old classic.
