    Siempre tuve fé en Death Stranding. No creo que simplemente por ser de un creador que admiro, sino porque su peculiar propuesta tenía un magnetismo que me llamaba.

    Su audaz propuesta jugable - ser un repartidor en un mundo devastado tras una catástrofe - me resulta adictiva y entretenida a su manera. Es en ocasiones, un ejercicio meditativo, en soledad, donde llegar a la meta es un    Siempre tuve fé en Death Stranding. No creo que simplemente por ser de un creador que admiro, sino porque su peculiar propuesta tenía un magnetismo que me llamaba.

    Su audaz propuesta jugable - ser un repartidor en un mundo devastado tras una catástrofe - me resulta adictiva y entretenida a su manera. Es en ocasiones, un ejercicio meditativo, en soledad, donde llegar a la meta es un camino arduo y exhausto, aunque también tiene su planificación entre tanta lucha desesperada contra fuerzas antagónicas que escapan de nuestro control.

    Kojima habla de mucho en este juego. Me sobra algo de metraje y ciertos monólogos cargados de exposición se me hacen excesivos y redundantes, su villano me resulta plano y creo que el tutorial está mal estructurado con la trama (los capítulos 2 y 3 son imperdonablemente largos) pero a pesar de todo, termino Death Stranding emocionado y tremendamente satisfecho ante lo que me parece un triunfo de un gran creador.    … Expand

Não é apenas "ficar andando de um lado para o outro." Você tem que ter planejamento das ações, avaliar o melhor caminho a seguir, ter uma ordem racional e eficaz de entregas, saber utilizar os inúmeros recursos que o jogo dispõe para facilitar a jornada (veículos, roupas especiais, trator flutuante), saber lidar com as condições temporais e com o desgaste natural dos objetos. Realmente, não é "divertido" em um senso comum, e além disso é um jogo lento e contemplativo. Ao mesmo tempo é bastante viciante. Entendo quem acha o jogo ruim, as vezes o jogo cria dificuldades desnecessárias, como aquela falha geológica gigante no solo.
    O jogo lembra muito STATE OF DECAY 2 do Xbox One. Um terceiro jogo que misturasse as duas coisas boas desses dois jogos seria perfeito!    … Expand

    Death Stranding é o jogo mais original, diferente e emblemático que joguei até hoje. Ou você ama ou odeia, eu amei. Independente de alguns problemas no ritmo de jogo, nunca imaginei que fazer entregas fosse tão prazeroso e divertido. Realmente é um jogo que polariza muito as opiniões, quem não faz o mínimo de esforço pra entender todo o conceito irá detestá-lo, o que é uma pena.

    Amazing game that clearly you love it or you hate it. I don't think there is anything in between. The visuals are astonishing and the story is brilliant.

    One of a kind experience and is the first Hideo kojima game I played, in case you think there's a fan-boy here. In 30 years of gaming, recently only RDR2 gave me this kind of connection with the characters. Finished the game after 61 hours, and still playing it with 89 hours, making deliveries in pursue of the platinum trophy. Understand some critics as the learning curve is slow. CanOne of a kind experience and is the first Hideo kojima game I played, in case you think there's a fan-boy here. In 30 years of gaming, recently only RDR2 gave me this kind of connection with the characters.     I will never understand why a game like this could ever get a review score below 7, AT LEAST 7. I didn't play it on day one, only now, and I can tell that it easily took the spot of the best game I've ever played, the Last Of Us being the one before it. The emptiness of Death Stranding's world is striking and wonderful, the sense of exploration and atmospheric tension here is unmatched,I will never understand why a game like this could ever get a review score below 7, AT LEAST 7.     A lot of impatient idiots review bombed this game for no reason other than their own stupidity this is not a game for everyone but not a game that deserves less than 6/10 if only for the story i enjoyed the experience and would recommend this game to anyone who i' snt an impatient shooter fan.

Once the story kicks off towards the end of chapter 3 it becomes much less of a walking simulator and d quite a deep heartfelt story about connection in a fragmented world. The ending is very emotional and it’ll definitely take me a while to get over this game.… Expand

Actually, for the first 10 hours, my rating would be 5 at most.. Thanks to quarantine I just beat this game after 62 hours and I guarantee that the last 15 hours will be one of the most original (and perhaps best) video game experiences you willI understand and agree with most of the negative comments here.     Кодзима смог придумать действительно нечно новое в игровой индустрии. "Симулятор курьера" шутили игроки. Но ведь так и есть, игру надо расценивать как очень качественный симулятор: планирование маршрута, распределение груза, качественная симуляция ходьбы, особенно по пересеченной местности, взаимодействие с другими игроками посредством построек и лайков - вот в чем главная фишка игры. ВсёКодзима смог придумать действительно нечно новое в игровой индустрии. "Симулятор курьера" шутили игроки. Но ведь так и есть, игру надо расценивать как очень качественный симулятор: планирование маршрута, распределение груза, качественная симуляция ходьбы, особенно по пересеченной местности, взаимодействие с другими игроками посредством построек и лайков - вот в чем главная фишка игры. Всё это приправлено прекрасным сюжетом в стиле Кодзимы, кинематографичными кат-сценами, великолепными саундтреками, и в целом ощущения спокойствия, медитативности (не всегда конечно, но в большей части времени). Из минусов я отмечу: физику транспорта, хоть иногда "залезать" на мотоцикле на скалы было и весело и необходимо; тупой ИИ МУЛов и террористов, хотя скрыться от них тяжело; несколько моментов игры, где надо было "играть в шутер", а стрельба не очень удобная, да и 30 фпс.
    Понимаю, почему многим не зашел геймплей, и он для них стал дико скучным, но это же не повод ставить очень низкие оценки. Игра ведь сделана очень качественно, лично меня она очень затянула именно своим необычным геймплеем, и я планирую выбить платину    … Expand

But if one can buy into it, like I did, then it will be a most memorable experience. The presentation of the game is phenomenal, it shows that Kojima is still at his usual form for crafting unique and cinematic games. I actually enjoyed the act of playing this gameIt's understandable why Death Stranding is not for many people, given its gameplay concept of delivering cargo to places. The presentation of the game is phenomenal, it shows that Kojima is still at his usual form for crafting unique and cinematic games. I actually enjoyed the act of playing this game because of how unique it is. It was almost relaxing to walk across the rough terrain as Sam Porter Bridges. The mechanics are simple and effective for the most part. Managing the cargo can be a pain at times, but if the game and its world make that connection with you it will be merely an aspect of the gameplay and not a flaw. The game definitely isn't perfect technically, it could use some tidying up in areas, such as organizationally in accessing materials and obtaining vehicles. So the cargo management in this sense has its flaws. The combat is pretty fun, though it is quite easy and one-dimensional at times. For instance, using stealth in 'Mule' sections never really presented itself as an option to me. I almost always had to fight them directly, so that became sort of tedious and monotonous. But aside from the problems, the real emphasis of the game anyway is in its mysterious and thought-provoking story and world. The characters you meet are highly realized and have interesting back stories that you uncover. The atmosphere of the world is incredible, with great sound and visuals. The 'BT' encounters are eerie and intense. The whole game forms into an impressive work of art. If you can find the time to stick with it, as it will draw on and on (though it never gets dull), the final chapters of the game might be the greatest part of the game. It is worth playing to the end because of how satisfyingly the game ties itself up. This is probably one of the most under appreciated games I've played. But again, this statement only has validity to those who don't abhor the gameplay. It requires a different mindset to play than your typical shooting game. It challenged me and made me think in a way that no other game has. It's not for everyone and at times I didn't really love it, but its original style and feel made me appreciate the experience.… Expand

    This story in this game is so wonderfully weird. Not a game I would recommend universally but for me it was an experience that was worthwhile. Took me about 40 hours to finish the game and the story kept me interested until the very end. Could have been better though. The game sometimes is very long-winded. The open world is not very interesting - all of the areas are kind of samey - IThis story in this game is so wonderfully weird.     To me, this is probably one of the best story games in a long time for an original idea story game. I love it I'm not going to say its not a walking sim but it is a walking sim.     Сюжет интересный и подается дозировано и в целом понятно, время от времени игровой процесс прерывается на десятки минут и ты сидишь и смотришь кино, потому что графика на очень высоком уровне.

    Социальная сторона тоже очень кайфово сделана, все эти ништяки, созданные другими игроками очень облегчают прохождение, и приходятся очень кстати, сколько сотен часов будет прохождение игры без этой помощи даже представить страшно.

    Я большой фанат игр от Quantic Dream, там тоже огромное место отводится сюжету, и меня
    DEATH STRANDING очень впечатлил.

    Геймплей тоже в порядке, на первый взгляд - ходи туда-сюда, доставляй грузы, но это не так просто. Геймплей меняется, и он не становится сложнее, так как появляются новые возможности, та же дорога с автомобилями, это было прям кайфово, ее отстроить )

    В общем, если вы любите игры, где нужно думать, где есть интересный сюжет и некий элемент чилла, потому как пересечь гору на своих двух по колено в снегу... это требует выдержки. Игра отличная, даже несмотря на мелочи, вроде бесконечных катсцен сдачи и взятия груза, включение визора тварей... все это нисколько не портит ощущение от игры.    … Expand

    Haven't finished the game yet but it's different from other games and don't go to friends or check the reviews cause it won't help you to know if it's good or not cause it's a game where everyone have different opinions on it so try it out for yourself to know if you like it or not

    This game is getting way to much hate for how good it actually is. I found that the story was compelling and confusing and I believe that most of the people who have played this game and hate, have never played a Kohima game. Kohima really hits the mark with this one as the whole point of the game is a mediation of self and how to de cone t a broken and isolated world. The game looks incredible and I found that managing the inventory was a lot more simpler than say managing Mother Base in MGSV. In terms of combat I actually found it engaging, and when I took down my first BT I was HYPE. With more and more experience I found I was able to face almost any challenge the game threw at me. I found the boss fights to be very engaging and found the traversing the obstacles of the landscape to be extremely satisfying. Yes the gameplay is simply “deliver this item to this location” but the story is very compelling once you get to know the cast of characters and who they are as people. Every character has their flaw and failings and that’s what makes getting to know people compelling in a game where you’re connecting everyone to you and each other. Yes the game is sometimes tedious but when is a Kojima game NOT tedious? In my roughly 40 hours with the game I found I was able to overcome challenges through experience and thinking outside of the box. There is no other game like this game and I think that that is the game’s strength. No this game is not for everyone, but for me I like a slow burner with a well designed map and world. I recommend this game to anyone that has played Kojima’s games before or to anyone who simply likes to traverse challenging worlds. I can’t wait to see what Kojima does next!… Expand

    Oh my god!!!! An absolute must play. Its slow and bit repetitive for first 4-5 missions but after that kojima does his magic and you fall in love. All the menus and complexity (like witcher 3) seems overwhelming initially but soon it turns into very logical comfortable must have thing . Plus the phenomenal sound tracks make you live the game. . I think it’s honestly hilarious. This game is the perfect example of “The Journey is greater than the Destination”. Patience is rewarded with one of the most polished and beautifully relaxing games you’ll ever play. I’m ~30This game has my heart and my soul. Look past the shallow reviews you may read.     Gameplay is simple, its not about the destination but the journey and the route you choose, not a walking, but a hiking simulator, you must take note of where you walk and wether Sam can maintain    This game is not for everyone, and is not perfect, Kojima tells a simple story in a way too complicated way, there are too many unecesary cutscenes, well detailed and impresive, but unnecesary.

    Gameplay is simple, its not about the destination but the journey and the route you choose, not a walking, but a hiking simulator, you must take note of where you walk and wether Sam can maintain balance, the terrain is the real enemy in this game, one of the key aspects is the asynchronous multiplayer component, it wasn't well advertised, it really compels you to go out of your way to build and complete structures helping other players in the process.

    The main enemies, the BTs at the beginning where dounting, but later become an easy to avoid nuisance (thank god for the update that lets you skip the alert sequence), mule camps are fun at the start but become easy to manage thanks to exploitable IA

    Ambience is key, the sounds and visuals really transport you into an alien like world, even though its locales are taken from New Zealand, the music is really spot on, the techno sounds really emphazise the esterile environments from the distro centers to enemy encounters that feel bizarre. Lisence tracks are cool too, Low Roar might not be in everyones alley but it sure fits Death Stranding whole motive

    At the end it depends on every person tht plays it, some people are goona dread this game, telling its an overhyped piece of garbage, others are gonna love it just because its a Kojima game, other people like me gave it a fair chance, acknolegde the bad and apreciating the good in it, Again this game is not for everyone, its a really niche and pretentious game but given the chance it might trap you in its zen state where you know what you are doing might be pointless or not that important (deliveries like toys, aphrodisiac and pizzas for christ sake) but you do it anyway just for the satisfaction of doing a good job    … Expand

Buckle down for the first section of the game as it includes A LOT of cut scenes and can be a bit tedious. Perhaps the gameplay is the least polished thing in the game (the sunplay with supernatural creatures are quite cool, the human enemies on the other hand are very uninspired) but on the other hand, it has some of the best stories I´veI loved it, but I get why so many peole dislike it too, it´s definitely just for people who like games with a heavy story and a rather slow paced gameplay.     Sadly, they could give us an unforgettable cast of enemies, as any Kojima production, instead they are kind of plain, however, this does not overshadow the rest of the game.

    Gameplay... That's very arguable thing. Personally I liked process of delivering cargo. Not only because that's pretty meditative but also because as your plot progress grow (and you get new devices) then you will be able to diversify delivery process. Also I highly recommend to play this game with Internet because of infrastructure sharing between all real players. That's very good feeling when you got like for you building from real person.

    But my problems with gameplay was linked with enemy encounters. That was pretty boring (although suddenly stealth is more interesting then open encounter because of environment audios and sinister atmosphere but boss battles is the most boring battles that I've ever played, sorry, Kojima).

    So I liked this game. But I would not recommend it everyone. And definitely not for the full price.    … Expand

    highly under rated game, no clue where these negative reviews are coming from, there is plenty of shooting after you get a couple missions in, the story is so good, the suspense created by the bad guys are crazy. lots of created features to this game, great characters I think most people didnt finish the game and didnt play it.

A lot of people will say it's a glorified walking simulator and there's certainly parts of the game that feel like it - one of the biggest challenges is terrain traversal. But instead of thinking of it in terms of walking simulator think of it as something of an evolution of a 3d platformer - it's a beautifully crafted, naturalistic world in which your objective is to get from point A to B. As the game progresses you find yourself in possesion of a growing number of tools to do that, so in the middle part of the game you actuall mostly drive around in trucks and motorbikes, while in the latter you mostly fly around on zipline. Now terrain traversal is fun and does make for quite a challenge. Another thing that makes for a lot of fun is new tools that are being introduced almost literally every half an hour. Some of them you might never use, some of them you will find yourself using constantly, so there are many ways to approach an objective. Another strong aspect is story - this game hours upon hours of beautifully realized cutscenes. How good is the story? It's good, although some dialogue lines are just badly written, mostly it's well versed. In an industry where most products have a throwaway story just for the sake of presenting cool graphics and mechanics, this one definitely stands out. Coupled with it's insane soundtrack and action heavy intervals, you get a one of a kind masterpiece. Most critics, even if they praise it suggest it could've been shorter, but I don't agree with them. I was actually surprised when the story started to wrap up, I wasn't ready yet - haven't delivered enough packages, haven't finished building all the highways (very satisfying activity btw), haven't encompassed mountains with my network of ziplines, haven't unlocked all the extra equipment... In the end story left me crying... this game certainly is a tearsqueezer. Does everything in the story make sense? Kinda, you just have to accept that it follows dream logic more often than waking logic. Buy it, it's worth it.… Expand

    - Acting: the acting is great, I cried in many scenes
    - Online mode: The online gameplay goes inline with the idea of reconnecting people, of helping each other to save América and the world. You never compete against other players, but you can help them make their journeys easier.

    The bad:
    - Game is too long, in Episode 3 you spend like 20 hours connecting dots by making deliveries and the story doesn't progress at all.
    - Fast travel: you lose all your cargo when you fast travel (well, it's stored in a private locker but you each private locker in each location is independent, so you must go back to the initial location to access your old cargo)    … Expand

    После финальных титров Кодзима снова заставляет меня сидеть с открытым ртом. Стилистика, графика, музыка, герои - на наивысшем уровне! Одним из минусов лично для меня - это искусственная "затянутость" игры.

    The only issue was the slow pace of the gameplay itself.
    Other than that, good game but due to the terrifing and boring game play, i wouldn't replay this game.
    55 hours of game play and the first 15 hours was the an absolute torture.

    I loved the game and it was my first from kojima. I later played metal gear solid 1 and i loved that too. Death stranding is an amazing journey that will scare you, make you cry but also appreciate breathtaking landscame. The gameplay is a cool rpg but maybe the environment should have been upgraded with some animals

    Una propuesta Novedosa ,y excelente a nivel técnico. He de decir que no esperaba nada de este juego . Muy buenos gráficos, banda sonora e historia . Tiene bastantes cinemáticas pero son muchas horas de juego 51 he hecho yo para acabarlo . Grata sorpresa , muy recomendado si no eres de los que les gusta solo la acción. El juego trata en su mayoría de llevar cargas pero tiene que llegarUna propuesta Novedosa ,y excelente a nivel técnico. He de decir que no esperaba nada de este juego .     It’s pretty good, defiantly takes a while to get going, but it has a pretty intriguing gameplay loop, Stunning graphics, great soundtrack and solid voice acting. The plot is pretty weird and hard to follow at times but I enjoyed it far more than I expected. I’d say worth a buy at some point.

    Death Stranding offers a truly beautiful and completely different experience. I would like to recommend it to everyone, but unfortunately not for everyone. Not everyone likes to carry cargo, but I liked it and had fun when its story was beautiful.

    Death Stranding is creating a new game genre and therefore paves its own path towards more interactive experiences. It is a brave work thanks to its novelty, which fortunately is not a bragging right for its creators, as it may have seemed, but an exceptional title that will reward the brave who play it.     This game does manage to be fun, even if it is one of the heaviest experiences of 2019. Everything from story to gameplay is begging to be dissected, filled with imagery and symbolism -- just like so many Kojima games before this one. Entering Death Stranding, it’s likely that we all thought Kojima’s calling card was lengthy cutscenes and stealth and action gameplay.

    Death Stranding stands as a powerful author’s game which drives a strong message of how our over-connected society is evolving, and how we can help other players. Unlike many AAA games, it shines on a truly spiritual level. Well written, engaging and visually magnificent, it offers, despite some pacing flaws, an astonishing solo game with elegant multiplayer elements. A unique representation of Hideo Kojima’s talent.
