    A great and engaging story with fun game-play implementation. The world truly feels haunting and lonely which adds a lot to the experience.

    I was really hyped for this game but still it managed to surprise. It has beautiful graphics, excellent performances from All the actors, “Mads Mickelson” and “Tommy Earl Jenkins” we’re standout for me. and as sci-fi nerd, I loved the story. I have heard people complain about the gameplay but it was just right for me and I enjoyed the loop.

    This game is just amazing. Everything is awesome, good to look and balanced. The gameplay is “always” the same but is pretty funny because you have full control on own your actions. The storie is beautiful and stunning. Reedus, and other actors, are amazing, also the BB (your baby). Every time you reconnect the America, the gameplay change and different form the past thanks to your actionsThis game is just amazing. Everything is awesome, good to look and balanced. The gameplay is “always” the same but is pretty funny because you have full control on own your actions. The storie is beautiful and stunning. Reedus, and other actors, are amazing, also the BB (your baby). Every time you reconnect the America, the gameplay change and different form the past thanks to your actions and new items like vehicles, weapons, gadgets and other things.     The game is simply great. It is certainly not for all types of players, but for those who enjoy a great atmosphere, good music and interesting characters with unusual dialogues. Yes, it is not perfect, and sometimes it feels repetitive, but it is compensated by the great development of the story and the great performances of the protagonists.

    Exactly the game I was expecting, and i couldn't be more excited to play something different for a change. For years now I've wanted something to rival the experiences that MGS left with me. I can gladly and wholeheartedly say this is what I wanted and more. Super refreshing to have a change of pace.

    I enjoyed the game a lot. Its like meditating and living the game. As kojima said this is a new genre and dont listen to the reviews, just play it. You might love it. But i can tell you will get an utmost satisfaction after completing the game and it will stay with you for years to come.

    If you play the game good you will enjoy it. If you play it bad you fall and you cant enjoy. I had read many reviews and most of them are saying the baby is crying and there is nothing but walking. What i say is baby cries when you play bad and there are multiple ways you can make your own path to complete a mission and after a Long stretch you feel the satisfaction if you played it well.
    Yes sometimes the gameplay gets repetitive but you will find peace in it and that repetitive ness will never stop you from playing it. Death stranding is a masterful creation where it stands on its own starting a gateway to new genre and stays with you for years to come!    … Expand

    man.. i've been playing this for about 4 hours already and I gotta say, for a FedEx simulator, i'm having fun just discovering things, the exploration, the graphics, and music. All really good. I knew going into this that this game wasn't for everybody and I guess I'm one of the lucky ones having fun. It's a slow...slow.....sloooooooooooow burn. A type of game where I turn on a podcast andman.. i've been playing this for about 4 hours already and I gotta say, for a FedEx simulator, i'm having fun just discovering things, the exploration, the graphics, and music. All really good. I knew going into this that this game wasn't for everybody and I guess I'm one of the lucky ones having fun. It's a slow...slow.....sloooooooooooow burn. A type of game where I turn on a podcast and just go about my missions. The combat is a bit shallow and too far in between and during some side missions where the world seems empty, it REALLY feels like it. There's a **** of small details, there's no way i'll probably ever see them all.

    Currently playing on a regular PS4, digital version. Haven't ran into any crashes, weird bugs, or game breaking glitches. But im sure they are there. This game is too big NOT too have them.

    FACT
    After that time you rarely walk and when you do, your walking is enhanced by various different tools. Also, the game is as polished as God of War was when it released. You'll have a hard time finding a game that runs this smooth without any hiccups, crashes, glitches and so on.

    The menus feel a little overwhelming when you first start out, but as you get to know and navigate them, everything makes sense.

    This game creates a level of immersion that I haven't felt in a video game before. Even though the game is in 3rd person, you feel like you are Sam Porter Bridges.

    Another thing I really like is the attention to detail when it comes to weapons, gimmicks l, quality of life improvements and vehicles. You get so much cool stuff, you'll have a hard time picking the tools you want to use.

    The style is the best part. If you liked the metal gear series, it is most likely because you like the way Kojima makes his creations look on screen. The characters and the vehicles all look so cool. I wasn't going to review the game, but seeing it sitting at 5.9 user score is beyond ridiculous. It is above a 9.5/10 easy. I'm so glad I get to play this awesome game and seeing it being downvoted by, I don't know what to call these people, is just sad.
    It's disrespectful towards a free and creative mind like Kojima. This dude is a blessing for the gaming community.

    Don't let anybody fool you. If you like open world,
    If you like post apocalypse,
    If you like single player games,
    If you like Kojima's style,

    This game is an absolute must have in anybody's collection.
    Among the top 10 of this generation, hands down.

    El ritmo lento y la "monotonia" es la tónica del juego, pero que esto no te engañe como un punto negativo, aunque habrá gente que así lo vea (Porque repito, no es un juego de acción ni para todo pichi) Aquí realmente está la miga del juego y donde realmente es fresco, y no encontrarás nada igual en cuanto a gameplay. El juego transmite tranquilidad por cada uno de los poros, si eres el tipo de jugador que se jugó Journey y le encantó la experiencia, Death Stranding te va a enamorar, si eres el tipo de jugador que le gusta probar y experimentar con nuevas mecánicas, te va a gustar, y si eres una persona que sólo juega a Shooters y juegos en los que se transmite la sensación de recompensa rápida, lo vas a odiar con todas tus fuerzas. Yo no me canso de andar y observar unos paisajes dignos de un portento gráfico apabullante, de conectar con otras personas y ayudarnos unos a otros a completar este viaje y no, no me resulta repetitivo en absoluto y sólo por una razón: Lo disfruto. Es un juego que desde mi punto de vista es inviable que te parezca divertido al verlo en Streaming, pero que una vez coges los mandos te transporta directamente a su mundo y te hace pensar y meditar sobre el mismo. No te creas lo que digan los análisis negativos, ni tampoco los positivos como el mío, sólo quien lo prueba y realmente entiende que es una experiencia nueva puede dar su opinión, ya sea negativa o positiva, ambas totalmente respetables.     Woooow don't know what to say actually, this game is phenomenon, I played more than 50 hours until now and still in episode 5, this game ruined my life, it is addictive, genius and well designed even if u decide to play offline which I'm playing now, thanks genius Kojima.

    Easily One of the best games of this generation. It asks a lot fron the player for the first two chapters. If you stick with it till the chapter 3. It becomes much more rewarding and entertaining. The characters and story are great. Its a bit jarring at first but starts to explain a lot by the end. The ending is just WOW!! The story is lot weirder as depicted in the trailers. The gameplayEasily One of the best games of this generation. It asks a lot fron the player for the first two chapters.     Absolutely the best creation in a long time. Everything is refined and polished to maximum. Great story and very dark world. IMPRORTANT! GAME ONLY FOR HIGHER IQ. don't play it if you like call of duty or fortnite.

This game touched me like no game has in a while, so I especially registered to leave my first review specifically about this game.

    I believe that the hype, erupted around this project, raised the bar of expectations too high. Players were fantasizing about new breakthrough genre, revolution, new Silent-Hills-like comeback or something. In fact this game is not a revolution, of course, but an evolution of the modern concepts. Let's be honest - it is a social network. It allows you to be alone online, but feel the presence of other players at the same time. And as you begin your journey, you feel alone, but then you start encountering other players via all the gear they have set up: ladders, ropes, roads, other equipment. You interact with them and feel their support, which makes you want to leave your mark in the universe. So you grab materials and dedicate some time to build and upgrade in order to make others' playthrough easier. This what bonds and unites the gaming community, whilst on practice we are still alone.

    A highly misunderstood game, and one that's been unfairly attacked for doing something different. In a world of Free-to-play games, overly competitive shooters, esports, predatory business models, redundant franchises, monetization schemes, corrupt companies that ruin notable franchises... Death Stranding is one that breaks the mold in a good way, and is almost therapeutic by design.A highly misunderstood game, and one that's been unfairly attacked for doing something different. In a world of Free-to-play games, overly competitive shooters, esports, predatory business models, redundant franchises, monetization schemes, corrupt companies that ruin notable franchises... Death Stranding is one that breaks the mold in a good way, and is almost therapeutic by design. Anyone calling it a walking simulator, was unable to dive deeper, and for arguments sake it's not a walking simulator. Just because the focus is to walk, or climb, doesn't mean that's all there is too it, and it's a gross misclassification of a noble venture by it's Creator Hideo Kojima. Anyone who gave it a 0, didn't seriously play it, anyone calling it perfect, the game has it's flaws. I am thankful a game like this exists, and truly think it transcends the genre of video games, and will stand the test of time, as well as attacks on it's existence, and creators. Review: Death Stranding is truly a work of great care, the world is fantastic, and the struggle comes from simple things, like crossing a landscape, or taking on additional challenges on missions. It tells a fully unique story, about life, death, our political landscape, and what happens if we don't take care of the world around us. Boss battles are tense, the shooting mechanics are fun, and somewhat unique in their own way. Killing is not the objective here, but connecting, and being better than just an average killer. Killing can carry consequences in this world, and the world by design is treacherous. Nobody wants to venture out into the world, so it stands that the hero of this story is someone who is brave enough to battle the elements, as well as the undead, to ensure people have what they need to survive this post-apocalyptic dystopia. It's a beautiful concept, and is very under-appreciated by the current generation of gamers who seem to settle for cheap, quick thrills. Death Stranding does demand your attention, that you take your time with it, and learn about the world, it's origins, as well as your (Sam's) role in saving that world. There are flaws in the game, and without saying anymore about the game, here is a list of what I found to be the draws, and setbacks of Death Stranding. My NO SPOILERS Pros and Cons list:
    Pros:
    Graphics are something to behold, my mouth was open the whole time, it is stunning

    Acting -Top actors like Norman Reedus, and Lea Seydoux portray their respective characters, they do so well, and you really get drawn in by their performances

    Gameplay - Well thought out, you use the entire controller, this was carefully mapped out. The game is actually addicting. Anyone claiming it's just fetch quests think games are only one pattern, that you only fight, or shoot, and this is all they know. Games can be anything, Death Stranding reminds us of that - look up Paperboy for the original Nintendo if you don't know what I mean...

    Music - Original Soundtrack, as well as included artists, fit the world perfectly, the music is it's own awesome experience
    Sound Design - is absolutely delightful, the ruffling of clothing, sounds of vehicles, or machines, it's all crafted brilliantly to fit the game

    Cons:
    Redundant little scenes every mission (Pro: You can skip these if they grow tiresome)

    Pacing - this was my main problem with the game, while I enjoyed the story overall, I do feel like the pacing could've been handled a bit better. I think if you don't get sidetracked it's alright, but getting sidetracked is part of the fun as well. There's a balancing act with the pacing

    Lots and lots of reading - I like reading, and don't mind it in games, but some of the reading could've been better handled like audio records (Similar to MGSV), and this is where the pacing could've been handled better. Some of the reading you do fills in gaps in the story, it would've been better served spoken like in a podcast. Still plenty of story, but this is a downside for me personally. Small story bits that fell flat, or felt cringey/forced. They don't affect the overall story but I definitely didn't feel anything from specific performances.

    Sponsors/Commercialism - There is some commercialism in the game from brands, it's such a minute detail in the grand scheme, but worth mentioning. I believe if it had to be in there, it was done appropriately and probably helped fund the game. Verdict: 8.7
    Similar to a movie like Blade Runner, it stands alone, and does something unique. There is so much re-playability, content, unique addictive gameplay, a positive message, and a truly mind boggling story which takes it's time to really be understood. I hope more people play this game, and prove to game developers, we don't want the same 3 games over and over, we crave new experiences, and shouldn't be so spiteful when we get them. There are enough Marvel Movies out there, but not enough Blade Runners.

I am a fan of Hideo Kojima, Norman Reedus and SiFI genre, because of that I wad pretty satisfied by the time credits rolled. There always will be another GTA or Call Of Duty, but the games like DS is far in between.     Yes it’s a walking game, on paper that sounds like a bad concept, but somehow the mechanics and the world you’re in keep you going and let’s face it Kojima is a bit on the bonkers side.

    I’d imagine that if AC Odyssey had a more developed system of getting around instead of holding a button to climb everything, this style of ‘walking mechanics’ would have been far better received and that’s ultimately what’s holding Death Stranding back from main stream praise, the delivery of boxes ideally need to be broken up with different activities.

    Here’s hoping that any Death Stranding sequel builds upon this formula and adds more (a lot more) different gameplay mechanics around this frankly awesome idea.

    The game is incredible. Unlike everything on the market. The story has an exciting and surprising ending. The soundtrack makes all the difference and made me a fan of the band Low Roar.
    I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys exploring in huge, incredible and beautiful settings. You end up getting addicted to making deliveries and connecting the country.

It's a long, arduous process that's made difficult by the weight of your cargo taking a toll on your balance and stability, as well as the path forward being rife with obstacles like highwaymen, destructive rainfall, supernatural entities, and even the terrain itself. While new items and features are introduced at a steady pace to ensure things get easier as you progress, traveling across the vast, empty expanses for miles on end doesn't necessarily become any more exciting. As a result, this is very much one of those love it or hate it kind of things.

    I can see the game being a tedious slog for some and a straight shot of melatonin for others. There is an audience for this though. Personally, I was enamored with the story, themes, and overall originality of the mechanics. I enjoyed the sense of serenity that came from the slow-paced traversal so much that I was actually bothered whenever action would take center stage. I had no problem with the various enemy camps spread across the gargantuan map as I could deal or not deal with those as I saw fit. However, at several points you're forced into boss battles and the coverless third-person shooter system makes them more of a chore than anything. I was impressed with the scale of each encounter, but the game is definitely at its worst whenever guns are involved.

    The online component makes the journey a little less lonely. You won't get to actually interact with another person, but structures built by other players will appear in your world to act as helping hands. Coming across a bridge or zip-line someone left behind not only makes your trek less of a hassle, but also allows you to feel strangely connected to individuals you'll never see. These random acts of kindness inspired me to not take up my own placed ladders or climbing ropes after using them with the hopes that they might prove useful to anybody else came that way next. Sweetening all of this is the "likes" system which allows you to award others with bonus experience points at the touch of a button whenever they've built something that's pleased you. Seeing that somebody not only used a road or safe house I crafted, but saw fit to reward me for it always brought a smile to my face. It's easily the best multiplayer experience I've ever had.

    This is another meticulously crafted work of singular vision from the biggest auteur in the gaming industry. It transported me back to the PS2 era where you could find titles like Mr. Mosquito and Katamari Damacy that were entirely their own unique things. Because of this I believe Kojima delivered on his boasts of having created a completely new genre. I've certainly never played anything like this before. It's the kind of radical experimentation we need nowadays, even if the end results always end up being this divisive. While I definitely have a high affinity for the game I must admit not everyone will be as enthralled with it as I was. So despite the high score I'm giving it my ultimate recommendation is that you find a way to try it before you buy or even rent it in order to make sure it's for you.    … Expand

    Played this game all the way through and i can see how the new ideas for the game put people off but it is about the experience of Sam’s journey and how he adapts throughout the story. It is an incredible game from start to finish and the ending is something I have never seen before and simply blew me away.

    I resist giving anything full marks. But it's been two days since I was dumbfounded and in awe as I finished it at 5.30 in the morning and I still cannot stop thinking about it. The fact that I didn't even realize that I logged in 87 hours before completing is a testament to how engrossing it was to me.

    If you're looking for a unique gaming experience with a cinematic and existential twist to it, this is for you.    … Expand

Another weak point is the stealth and fighting against the "MULEs", most of which can be skipped thankfully. But overall, I really enjoyed the gameplay and the story.     Finally, an original AAA game. If you like slower paced game and a new genre, you should really love this game. Felt a bit like Breath of the Wild. The acting is amazing and the gameplay foundation is solid.
    It's not complex at all, you don't have to manage your inventory as stated somewhere else, there is an automatic triage option.

    red dead redemption 2 и Witcher 3 симуляторы наездника на лошади, DEATH STRANDING симулятор куръера. Вот только в тех двух играх, это ни как не работает на погружение, лишь вызывает раздражение как лишний элимент. Сдесь же каждая доставка уникальна, и вся рутина необходима для того чтобы игрок    Великолепная режесура, отличный сюжет, увлекательный уникальный геимплей. Что еще надо от игры?

    By no means a game everyone should play and definitely not one everyone will like, Death Stranding is the most unique gaming experience I've ever played and at least deserves recognition for its originality. It hardly fits in a genre and as much as people have boiled it down to a "delivery/walking simulator", this is ultimately true. It hardly fits in a genre and as much as people have boiled it down to a "delivery/walking simulator", this is ultimately true. This does not however capture what makes this game special. Its control scheme is unlike anything I've ever used, its story is complete insanity, the graphics are extraordinary, the atmosphere is melancholy and the philosophical implications are pretentious yet important.

    Death Stranding makes no apologies for wasting your time, and will often see you travelling for miles with a package for delivery. The environment is harsh, challenging and dramatic, with huge cliffs, raging rivers, endless deserts and packed forests standing between you and your destination within post-apocalyptic America. The journey is, in my opinion, riveting despite the lengths you need to go to. Travelling with your companion baby-in-a-jar (I repeat, the story is insanity), you use ropes, ladders, vehicles and your bare hands to make your way to the few remaining human outposts. It's a lonely, pensive experience punctuated by truly terrifying encounters with BTs, the monsters of the story. They appear at random, with the real-time weather system, and never fail to send me into a blind panic as they attempt to drown me in a lake of oily shadow. Your carefully balanced package (this is a whole game mechanism) will almost certainly fall, become damaged and battling the monsters is never an easy feat. The sense of danger is palpable at all times and truly one of the best horror experiences of late. Gunplay isn't amazing, but does the job.

    The act of 'connecting' the country by travelling its width and setting up communication towers is really cool and the passive co-op play, in which you can provide structures and items to other players and vice versa makes for a truly individualistic approach where your whole game is constantly evolving. You can co-operatively build roads through a rocky terrain, send supplies to your friends, deliver their dropped packages and so on, and communicate with them through 'likes' - how dystopian.

    The story is typical Kojima pretentious nonsense and I absolutely love it. Technology, religion, paranormality, society, politics, history, science, it's all here. And trust me that it is worth it. The origin story of the Clifford character is one of the most intense, thought-provoking and well-written arcs in a game to date, for me.

    Playing this game cannot be succinctly described and I can't fit it all into this review. I'll just say that it isn't like anything I've experience and I loved every second. It's frustrating, alienating, lonely, confusing and mimics the emotions of every day life, but also contains sparks of joy, accomplishment, drama and intrigue. It's one of the best times I've had since buying my PS4 and must be experienced on a personal basis - don't listen to me or someone else's opinion as gospel. If you're willing to accept something out-of-the-box, go for it. The amount of detail and love put into this dazzling audio-visual experience is staggering and it's as satisying to complete as you'd imagine. Beauty in monotony, a sense of pride in humble actions and the sense of scale in the smallest of areas, Death Stranding contradicts what games have always been and lays the road for something completely new to take its place next to the big-shots.     Pretty solid game (no pun intended) but it has some issues. Sometimes can feel a bit boring and most of the missions are basically fetch quests. The story it's confusing at the beginning but it kinda makes sense at the end but yeah there's plot holes too. Soundtrack is my favorite aspect of the game and it was very dissapointing that America its pretty empty and looks exactly like Iceland.Pretty solid game (no pun intended) but it has some issues.     Death Stranding is creating a new game genre and therefore paves its own path towards more interactive experiences. It is a brave work thanks to its novelty, which fortunately is not a bragging right for its creators, as it may have seemed, but an exceptional title that will reward the brave who play it. [Issue#299]

    This game does manage to be fun, even if it is one of the heaviest experiences of 2019. Everything from story to gameplay is begging to be dissected, filled with imagery and symbolism -- just like so many Kojima games before this one. Entering Death Stranding, it’s likely that we all thought Kojima’s calling card was lengthy cutscenes and stealth and action gameplay.

    Death Stranding stands as a powerful author’s game which drives a strong message of how our over-connected society is evolving, and how we can help other players. Unlike many AAA games, it shines on a truly spiritual level. Well written, engaging and visually magnificent, it offers, despite some pacing flaws, an astonishing solo game with elegant multiplayer elements. A unique representation of Hideo Kojima’s talent.
