    I'm 12 hours in and it's already the most unique and imaginative game I've played since Bloodborne/Dark Souls. Regarding the negative reviews, I think a lot of kids don't like it because they play video games for a different reason, namely to turn their brains off and overstimulate themselves. This game is meant to engage and immerse you the way you would do with a timeless film or novel.I'm 12 hours in and it's already the most unique and imaginative game I've played since Bloodborne/Dark Souls.     The world building is insanely cool and strange, I've never seen anything like it. The environmental design is fascinating, it manages to feel like familiar American landscapes and completely alien terrain at the same time. The dialogue is a little cheesy sometimes, but easily overlooked. There is mindless entertainment (Call of Duty) , and then there's entertainment infused with serious art, and this falls into the latter category.

    Highly recommend to anyone who would enjoy a very unique and artful experience. Wouldn't recommend to teenagers who play games to overstimulate themselves with video game crack and scream at each other while point-and-click shooting and dying a million times a match.    … Expand

    A very unique and exceptional Game, very good story and very good experience. Everyone has to try this Game and give it a chance. You just have to be patient and you will very likely enjoy it.

    This game is really good, though certainly not for everyone. If you are looking for a good variety in gameplay, this aint it, but if you are looking for a really good adventure game, this is it.

    O que dizer de Death Stranding, um jogo incrível com uma ótima trilha sonora e a cada nova entrega eu sentia que estava evoluindo. Nas missões principais, e a cada novo terreno que eu chegava queria andar com calma pra prestigiar o local novo.

    Uma excelente adição foi foi esse sistema de ajudar os outros jogadores eu sinto uma importância com cada novo escada, ponte ou qualquer outro    O que dizer de Death Stranding, um jogo incrível com uma ótima trilha sonora e a cada nova entrega eu sentia que estava evoluindo. Nas missões principais, e a cada novo terreno que eu chegava queria andar com calma pra prestigiar o local novo.

    que em certos pontos acaba sendo chato o encontro repetitivo com eles, mas com novos equipamentos fica menos chato passa por eles sem deixa as entregas danificarem.

    A atuação dos adores esta impecável em especial ao Mads M.
    Uma historia sensacional merece muito ganha o GOTY desse ano, kojima sempre trazendo aigo diferente isso e o que mais importa em um mundo onde tudo se copia e nada se muda.    … Expand

    I`ve never been a fan of Kojima`s work but Death Stranding blew me away. It´s a completely unique gaming experience, from the beginning to the end.

    this game is NOT for the call of duty fanatic type .
    this IS for those who love the finest art and best work that cinema and mistery books have to offer.

    Can't say why but this game keeps pulling me in.
    Amazing world, cool story, solid gameplay.
    Really good game to zone-out with.
    Not all people will enjoy it, but I really do.

    If you are calling Death Stranding a boring game you don't even deserve to play it, you just don't get it. Most of the negative reviews here are from people who haven't even played the game just watched some gameplay stream and then calling it boring and repetitive.

    This is more than a game it's an experience you really should give it a chance.

Очередная шедевральная игра от Кодзимы-сана, можно сказать, самая шедевральная. Сам подмечу, что играть для нормального восприятия всего что говорят персонажи в игре лучше в английской озвучке,Захватывающая, интересная сюжетная линия, которая вызывает абсолютно разные, но определённо очень сильные эмоции, новые для индустрии элементы геймплея, запоминающиеся персонажи, потрясающая музыка.     This game isn't for everyone. I understand the complaints people have about it. But after investing some 80+ hours into it, I have to agree it's a very unusual experience worth the journey.

    pro: great game, beautiful graphics, original story, a lot of interesting and mind blowing chapters, moving and climbing seemed almost perfect. cons: a bit grinding, vehicle controls are disappointing, BT and boss fights have the tendency to make the camera stuck upwards, the menu is huge and takes a lot to get used to ( not necessarily a    Death Stranding -

    Fantastic game that requires a lot of thinking, and some intelligence to follow what is going on. Which explains why a lot of people don't get this game.. lets face it, most gamers are low IQ clowns whos simple intellect draws them to simple games like fortnite. I'd give this game an 8.5, but I will leave a 10 to make up for these losers 0's

For me, this point alone is something that has caused some players (especially action genre-oriented gamers) got bored only after playing several hours and gave bad scores. BUT if you're like me and dare to "waste" 10-20 hours of your life to play this game, you'll find that this game is really addicting and challengingly fun to play (for me at least until midway of episode 3 which is where things get really interesting, considering this is the part where you acquire some cool new techs, weapons and vehicles).

    "There's no way walking through the map, delivering cargo with minimum combat actions can get interesting".
    This is also what i said to myself before I arrived to that point of the game I mentioned above, and boy I was wrong. This game has its portion of action if you want it, e.g fight MULEs and BTs with your cool weapons in open combat or stealthily knock them out (or eliminate them, if you fight BTs) and cool mini-boss fight that rewards you with resource to fabricate new equipments or build new infrastructures (highway, generator, shelter, zipline, etc) to make your journey more exciting.

    The last thing that I want to point out is, if you decide to give this game a chance, please play it online. This is where Death Stranding is all about. To connect with players around the world to help each other and progress forward.    … Expand

    A masterpiece by kojima.combat and traversal and just about everything is fun.The positivity of the social strand system is commendable.Its just an amazing game and the "boring" part ends with chapter 2 even though I personally found the first 2 chapter amazing

Ever since the Announcement 3 years ago when a something was brought by non other than Hideo Kojima and his new studio “Kojima Production”, they surprised all of us with a brand new IP called “ Death Stranding”. I will be honest I was expecting the revival of “Silent Hills” knowing before how I was just skeptical but the more trailers they brought into other Gaming conventions at the point I was very interested even though we don’t know what it is or what was even the gameplay going to be? But knowing how kojima keeps his subtlety into his games and teases his fans including myself. We cut now to 3 years later and the game is finally release in public. Before I talk about the game, game journalist got there copies of the game first before us and majority of game journalist gave the game mixed, bad, and even calling it a masterpiece. But I was worried from the most part is the gameplay since I’ve seen a few videos online. I only had high hopes if the game worked for me and.... it turns out it actually did. Now I’ve only have two issues of the game but we’ll get to that later. I would like to talk about the pros.
    I thought the story was really bizarre but at the same time engaging to see, sort of like you watching an arthouse cinematic experience. The music makes it feel like your connected with the world your immerse in. Acting performances and the cast did a phenomenal job. The graphics they used from the decima engine is very detail and very stunning to look at. And last in my opinion I thought the gameplay was really addicting, but here’s the controversial about the gameplay? Only 50/50 would any gamer would either like the game or not. But surprisingly I enjoyed it, later in the game it rewards you with upgrades to make your journey convenient, there is action parts in the game but not to where it would exaggerate a whole lot, just to where it needs to be or in this open world you can take down the BT (Beach Things) or The Mules. BT’s are describe as an entity that surrounds your area and if you get caught by them immediately they’ll sink your character down to where they can kill you. The Mules are enemy in the game that takes your cargo and kills you as well, they’re not the only enemies you have to kill in the game but there’s bosses in the game and some require skill and ways to kill them. And finally I thought the finale of the game is very well handled. If I had to issue two things about the game, it is in the later episodes you start to be bombarded with a whole lotta exposition to where I couldn’t sink in all the information what is has given me, and last this might be a minor spoiler but after you completed connecting all the chiral networks all the way to the West.... the game forces you to walk all the way back to East depending how long you get there, to where I was beginning to feel allot stressful. But overall I fully enjoyed this experience throughout and I also appreciate the game for being different and fresh. I am looking forward to the future for another Hideo Kojima game.    … Expand

It is a brave work thanks to its novelty, which fortunately is not a bragging right for its creators, as it may have seemed, but an exceptional title that will reward the brave who play it.     This game does manage to be fun, even if it is one of the heaviest experiences of 2019. Everything from story to gameplay is begging to be dissected, filled with imagery and symbolism -- just like so many Kojima games before this one. Entering Death Stranding, it’s likely that we all thought Kojima’s calling card was lengthy cutscenes and stealth and action gameplay.

    Death Stranding stands as a powerful author’s game which drives a strong message of how our over-connected society is evolving, and how we can help other players. Unlike many AAA games, it shines on a truly spiritual level. Well written, engaging and visually magnificent, it offers, despite some pacing flaws, an astonishing solo game with elegant multiplayer elements. A unique representation of Hideo Kojima’s talent.
