    Excelente aunque no es para todos, el juego empieza lento pero mientras más y más avances mejora muchísimo en gameplay ya que se desbloquea una gran variedad de artefactos y vehículos, y no se diga la historia junto con el soundtrack, excelente.

I have the game since it got out, and damn the game is unique , everyone talking bad about the game because the prologue is long and the two firsts episodes are "slow", soo many games are like that, they sorta start slow, and for real dont mind by me, i loved and sometimes i really take my time and enjoy the game and everything in it.

Great story and interesting gameplay, another masterpiece of genius.but the game was accepted ambiguously because such bold experiments always entail misunderstanding, but even if the gameplay turned out to be too ambiguous it is still a game from Hideo Kojima, which means that the game has a brilliant, interesting and confusingit’s very rare in our time to see such a bold experiment. If the menus were streamlined, the action a bit more difficult, the stealth slightly more compelling and the mid-game grind just slightly more trimmed (which is a difficult balance to be fair because the grind is what prompts the investment into other players) the game would have been a masterpiece. Whatever you think about this game - you cannot disagree with the fact that you have never played anything like this and in an age of Triple A yearly rehash this kind of willingness to take risks is sorely needed. At the very least - wait for a sale and see what all the fuss is about. Vote with your money even if the game-play is not for you. This game rewards you for helping others. In a way it is a repeat of the same emotions people felt when they played journey. Cannot recommend it highly enough.… Expand

    10 hours in I hated it and was ready to put it down. Then it slowly interesting things started happening, and before I knew it i was on the edge of my seat. It's not an action game, and it never becomes one. However, it is definitely interesting and enjoyable.     This game might not be for everyone but it's slow paced gameplay keeps getting better and better overtime and if you don't like slow paced games you won't be pleased by this game In my opinion I loved it and enjoyed every minute of it and it deserves to be game of the year

    I bought this on day of released, I just finished still on the credits. I did not want this to end. I really enjoyed this game. Visually stunning with a story that had me on the edge, thinking, and sad, too close to crying. When I thought it was finished it was still going, awesome. Game had different elements like no other.     Basically Death Stranding is an awesome game. It is stunningly beautiful exploring the varied landscapes which are complimented by a haunting soundtrack, a mind blowing storyline and excellent gameplay.

    I'm in awe. This is everything I wished for, amazing adventure and incredibly fresh story. I finally got something fresh, completely new and different from gears of war and call of duty mindless shooter chewing gum kind of games. This year was amazing for single player games and this is a main title to crown them all. Must have title.

    A game with an addictive gameplay loop, beautiful environments, interesting cutscenes, stellar cast and that classic Kojima weirdness make for one of the most engaging gaming experiences I've had in a while.
    Love it or hate it, it's a game you have to try at least once in your life.

They'll resonate with you even after 50 hours of gameplay.
    Dont know about everyone else, but me, the game was solid. Sure it gets tedious. But if you're a completionist and want to do every delivery there is, then of course it'll be tedious. Finish the main story first. You have time to do whatever after the game is over.
    Walking through scenic landscapes while planning routes , dodging BTs, soothing BB, navigating through the terrain with a low Roar track playing in the background is something else.
    The game becomes far less tedious as time progresses, literally. You'll see more and more ladders about the place, from other people. Helpful PCCs, charging stations for your bike and roads.
    I'd say in a weeks time, the while world will be populated enough.

    Why is it a 10? The gameplay is a refreshing change from the norm. At certain points it'll be extremely repetitive, at others you'll find a well done system of asynchronous online function that actually works, an unforgettable story, memorable characters, and a gameplay loop that has more depth than you'd think.

    Overall, definitely a game you'd wanna go back to, after finishing it.    … Expand

    Lo jugué todo el fin de semana, es extraño que entregar paquetes pueda llegar a hacer tan adictivo, la historia esta genial, y la calidad gráfica ni se diga, algo que he de recalcar es que no me encontrado con bugs y los frames se han mantenido perfectamente estables (lo estoy jugando en un PS4 fat), hay muchas variables al momento de hacer una entrega y hasta le agarras cariño al bb, laLo jugué todo el fin de semana, es extraño que entregar paquetes pueda llegar a hacer tan adictivo, la historia esta genial, y la calidad gráfica ni se diga, algo que he de recalcar es que no me encontrado con bugs y los frames se han mantenido perfectamente estables (lo estoy jugando en un PS4 fat), hay muchas variables al momento de hacer una entrega y hasta le agarras cariño al bb, la única pega que le encuentro es que las letras de las entrevistas y correos son muy pequeñas y tienes que leertelas para entender mejor de que va la historia… Expand

    Although the gameplay of death stranding is definitely not enjoyable for everyone, the game provides a well-designed new system and a fantastic story. I would not recommend it to everyone but this game is one of the greatest games in recent years that try to explore the possibility of gaming and innovate things that are never been created before.

    Modern games like the overwhelming and oversaturated shooters leave something more to be desired, and that is where Death Stranding comes in. Instead of fighting off other players and trying to prove a digital dominance over the other via mind-numbing twitch reflexes in a game that leaves players like myself in the dust, you can't help but become excited at a game that engages the player to try something new and to utilize something popular games tend to neglect: thought-provoking gameplay. Hideo Kojima is a man that builds things not for just senseless play that would insult people when played, but something that has seasoning and sustenance. His games usually have something important to say, be it the Metal Gear franchise's anti-nuclear stance and shady behavior of politics and such, or anything else the man has directed, you know you are in for a treat. He makes games that you can play multiple times and catch something you missed in dialogue, body language, and events with the first playthrough. There is always something to be further understood.

    If you are looking for artistic genius and something new to bring to the table, then look no further and try your hand at Death Stranding. Go into it with an open mind and intent to try something new. I pray that you will give this game a shot. I for one cannot shut up about it!    … Expand

    Probably the best game of generation. Tha game enginne is incredible. The game physics are pretty good, in special the fact that the gravity axis changes due the charge and the way the character carries them. The incredible soundtrack can change the entire game.

    As someone that played the game for 50 hour on Very hard mode and beat the game to clarify i did not complete since you might need 200 hours more i hazard to guess to do that.

    I was half tempted to give this game a 10 to counter act the zeros, A game to me with a zeros, means to me as if the game doesn't work, hell even a 1 Thru 3 means it's playable but is a buggy and the game may be    As someone that played the game for 50 hour on Very hard mode and beat the game to clarify i did not complete since you might need 200 hours more i hazard to guess to do that.

If you rated the game 4 or 5 at least you gave a crap to rate it some what fairly even tho the 4 rating is bit on the low side but I could not logically figure out disqualification for such a number.

    With that being side I would like to review the game by making counter points to some of low rated comment/scores Heck I might even agree.

    Counter point : I would argue the "gameplay" which is fun, rewarding (At Least to Connection Bond 4) slightly addicting and is integral for what the story he wanted to tell so it is important. The way I feel about the gameplay which some say is "unique" is almost akin too Harvest Moon games in my opinion in stead of farming for hours to get money, you deliver packages to get materials and new building/equipment. instead romancing and befriending villagers, your do that with cities and since you can get max bonds with every city (they give you a star to put on your leg when you do)

    Counter Point: Most of the time doesn't need be a grind unless your going for max bonds on every city if your a completionist then yes a grind is waiting for you but most of the time drooping off one sam package order is enough to keep the story moving (but I will note I said most, since sometimes you need to do 2 sam orders)

    As for the "Meaningless cut scenes" in general I would say their is meaningless ones but most don't involve characters. Example going back to base to heal your fatigue can consist 4 mini cut scenes if you bring a vehicle to get healed and that's just to get into the room. To max your max stamina you will need to drink 3 cans and that is 3 mini cut scenes. Then leaving the base you can get 1 to 3 more mini cut scene, but I would argue that one of them the "Shared BB28 Memories" (I would like to highlight it's quoted for a reason) are not meaningless, but you can end up watching the same one over. since that is on a loop for the most part. But guess it's worth noting you can skip the mini cut scene, but I wish their was more quality to life features, like auto skip viewed cut scene and auto can feature as this just becomes tedious and might just be their to waste the players time.

    As for "meaningless cut scenes with characters we don't even know" I would argue that is the point of a cuts scenes so you can get to know them and their involvement within the story.

    One more part of his statement to pick apart "There is no connections between us and Sam bridges and his friends" Ether this reviewer is miss guided and didn't beat the game or he's telling bold face lie. When you begin the game one might feel this way but I would say what links you to Sam is the time you spent on the journey West and as for his Friend the game dose a good job of showing the links if played to completion.

    As Tubey's Review is well written and it seems like he has a better grasp of the game but I see Things I can counter point and he did give it 3 unless he changes the score once more and sadly it's so big that I may not be able to cut thru all of it but I digress.

    Tubey -" let's just say that there is zero subtlety throughout. There are characters such as Fragile and Die-Hardman - they are their names, not nicknames as you'd expect, and they are presented as such with not a hint of sarcasm or self-awareness.     Counter Point: The thing I see wrong here is that Die-Hardman is a nickname but it dose show his traits but Fragile is 100% a birth given name at least that's what story seems to say and dose not highlight her traits it sort of spits in the face of that notion.

    Counter Point: I would say yes you run form them, but if you played on very hard, they are not harmless they could spell death easily if they catch up to you or a few stray bullets hit. But I will say the ai is stupid with Bola Gun you can hide in the grass take out the whole camp

    Death Stranding is amazing. I believe this is my new all time favorite game. I can’t recommend for youngsters or gamers looking for a shooter. I can recommend for those with the intelligence enough to understand the game and it’s mechanics. This is more than a game. It’s a beautifully made masterpiece focused on the more mature audience. It starts off very slowly and builds up. TheDeath Stranding is amazing. I believe this is my new all time favorite game. I can’t recommend for youngsters or gamers looking for a shooter.     If you ever went hiking, or just walked into a valley, mountain or whatever else, you will get exactly what this game feels like. This is a first time for me.
    Walking in Skyrim was cool, but this is another level.

    Finally a game that isn't run of the mill, its hard for developers to break from standard practices as they often know its a $ risk. While certainly not for everyone. The atmospheric approach in this game to thrust a player into a world that doesn't exist is quite impressive, all the while reminding them how human we are.

    BUT!! in spite the fact that its tedious, bad AI etc... its still a great deal of fun and its realy captivating.
    i got so hooked on this game that i couldnt think of anything else for weeks. if only for the completelyUNIQUE experience this game CANOT get a score of 5 and lower.    YES! this game is NOT perfect. all of the things that the good people of metacritic are saying is true....

    I just felt so bad for those reviewers who have to rush the game in order to give a quick review in time, but this game is not for quick beat, you must take your time not thinking about beat it in a couple of days like a COD campaign, just take your time to discover the little interesting details in the enormous world, I'd say there must be surprise for everyone who put a relaxing mood on it.

    Graphics (9): One of the best looking games I've seen (rivals RDR2). I played on a Pro and experienced no frame rate issues (locked at 30). There is some pop in but it's very minimal considering the draw distances. Once or twice textures didn't load in right away. I didn't try HDR.

    Controls (8): The game has fantastic controls through the menus and traversal. The button mapping is intuitive. It controls similar to RDR2 with a weighty feel but with more contextual traversal animations that can't be canceled (i.e. stumbling). The combat controls are a little too sluggish.

    Sound/Music (10): Some of the best music I've heard in a game. Most songs are original scores. The songs are often dropped in at perfect moments to elevate the moment. The overall sound and sound effects are very well done and thorough.

    Story (9): When the game sticks to the more grounded material it is truly a work of art, but some of the more metaphysical elements are needlessly obtuse and long. But the build up and pacing is masterfully done. There are several significant plot twists. The cinematics are some of the best I've seen in a game. The main characters are very well written and voice acted with the one exception of the main villain, who is poorly developed and lacks believable motivations. A few side characters had cringe voice performances but most were good.

    Gameplay (9): This generally consists of embarking on numerous mini journeys (America's east to west coast). These journeys consist of: gather info>preparation>navigation>traversal>destination. This is a much more methodical and slower gameplay loop with only occasional action sequences. The challenge derives from proper planning and traversing treacherous terrain. The reward (fun factor) is much more psychological, where the stimulation of a "journey loop" will register with some personalities and not with others.    … Expand

The game is more or less a third person adventure with item management and terrain navigation features. At first the game starts very slow, walking everywhere you deliver random things to holograms inside waystations and the like. The opening is cinematic heavy with an emphasis on getting you confused with terms and pseudoscience that wouldn't and couldn't make sense to the uninitiated. However, things become less confusing the deeper you go,assuming you can pay attention long enough to put plot points together. The navigation is difficult at times but may be trivialized by clever placement of tools like ropes and ladders and bridges. This is intentional as the game is really more a commentary on modern society as a whole rather than a conventional video game. The act of placing a ladder to scale a cliff to ease your journey is not only a statement, but also a strand of social commentary on what it means to be human. We use tools to not only convenience our lives,but the lives of others as well. The asynchronous multiplayer accomplishes this task well. The first time you see a ladder or bridge somewhere you had difficulty crossing before,brings a sense of togetherness in that we all attempt to accomplish similar goals.     First off, everyone is open to opinions. People are allowed to love and hate this high budget and very high profile release. I find it very unfair to developers and potential suiters to this game that people review bomb it for whatever reason. I can understand why this game can be viewed as BORING and DULL, and people are allowed to have that opinion! - I absolutely despise Overwatch, Fortnite and Apex - I believe they are dull and boring!

    Now that's out of the way - lets settle another issue - I am not a huge Hideo Kojima fan - yes I think his vision has no rival (I'm not saying his vision cannot be trumped, i'm saying the style of his vision has no rival). I am a huge fan of the metal gear series (did not buy survive), didn't like Zone of the Enders very much.

    So without further delay, here is my honest and personal review of this unique piece of art.

    When I booted up the game and saw the intro cutscene and to find a beautiful transition to actual gameplay which felt seamless, I was blown away by the beauty of its visual design and sheer attention to detail. I was also VERY confused, but I found myself itching to know more about the mysterious world of death stranding - I was already deeply (but not blindly) drawn into the game.

    The moment of the first BT encounter, the shivers down my spine and my hairs standing on end mimicking Sam's reaction to them (this is reflected in every BT encounter - I almost hold my breath in real life with the character)! Then the first score kicks in as you are walking, this is a highlight of the game and it is implemented to perfection, I could not make an argument about the quality of creative vision the developers had for this game. For visuals, audio and graphics design, this game is a top tier 10/10 - the best visuals on ps4 to date.

    But I had yet to be won over with gameplay! Sure I walked to central knot city - but this was not enough yet to captivate me. When you get sent out into the free world and make your way up and down the mountains taking on what deliveries you can, and absorbing and embodying the meaning of each and every delivery. This is when you realise the meaning of the gameplay, and this is when you start to get excited about crossing every obstacle and just exploring the world, AND most importantly connecting the broken and isolated people. This game makes you appreciate the connections to people, the positive atmosphere of making people feel connected is amazing. From hearing a reply to your voice from other players who make indentations in your gaming world, to finding a sign that tells you not to give up, just when you think you may have to ditch all of your precious cargo. Encounters with BT's are never tiresome and always make you stop and think. MULES who are crazed porters who want your cargo, chase you relentlessly (but never into BT zones). The gameplay is beautiful.

    The story is as amazing and immersing as it is daunting and confusing. You find your self itching to know more about the world, the events which have transpired AND the progression of the characters you feel an odd connection with. The actor performances here are truly stunning.

    At first glance, you think the gameplay is so disconnected from the story and the actual world. But when you actually play it, once you make a few deliveries and listen to what the story the world has to tell. You instantly feel as though there is this perfect connection between gameplay and story, and you are making that connection between gameplay and story.

    This game is an amazing experience and contrary to what some people say, I found it incredibly exciting! I highly recommend you play this game, and show other developers that we want more games like this - games that try and make a point through a harmony between story and gameplay.

    This game is something not from this world. It’s just unbelievably amazing in every aspect. Even the opening couple of minutes are throwing you a glimpse of it’s great mechanics, outstanding beautiful quiet world and the professionals written cutscenes (no matter how long there are). And in addition to that, of course The incredible atmosphere Kohima created by he’s specific taste ofThis game is something not from this world. It’s just unbelievably amazing in every aspect.     Um dos melhores jogos que pude desfrutar na minha vida. Mesmo com suas primeiras horas sendo bem lentas (algo que parece proposital, tamanha a audácia e genialidade de Kojima), todo o roteiro é genialmente bem elaborado. Death Stranding segue uma proposta ÚNICA no mundo atual, entregando uma OBRA DE ARTE ao quebrar com a divisão entre jogos e cinema. A atuação de cada um dos personagens éUm dos melhores jogos que pude desfrutar na minha vida. Mesmo com suas primeiras horas sendo bem lentas (algo que parece proposital, tamanha a audácia e genialidade de Kojima), todo o roteiro é genialmente bem elaborado. Death Stranding segue uma proposta ÚNICA no mundo atual, entregando uma OBRA DE ARTE ao quebrar com a divisão entre jogos e cinema.     Kojima nos apresenta uma obra prima dos VG! Pra quem curte RPG e um game mais cadenciado, sem pressa, vai amar DS ! Mas pra quem só gosta de games de ação, FPS, futebol e corrida : Fujam deste game pois ele não é feito pra vocês!!

    Absolutely beautiful and groundbreaking game. This game breaks all the norms, and does what no games have done before. Any reviews calling this a “walking” simulator did not get past chapter 2, because the game opens us rapidly after that point. This game is a once in a lifetime experience, and is something everyone should experience.

    Death Stranding is creating a new game genre and therefore paves its own path towards more interactive experiences. It is a brave work thanks to its novelty, which fortunately is not a bragging right for its creators, as it may have seemed, but an exceptional title that will reward the brave who play it.     This game does manage to be fun, even if it is one of the heaviest experiences of 2019. Everything from story to gameplay is begging to be dissected, filled with imagery and symbolism -- just like so many Kojima games before this one. Entering Death Stranding, it’s likely that we all thought Kojima’s calling card was lengthy cutscenes and stealth and action gameplay.

    Death Stranding stands as a powerful author’s game which drives a strong message of how our over-connected society is evolving, and how we can help other players. Unlike many AAA games, it shines on a truly spiritual level. Well written, engaging and visually magnificent, it offers, despite some pacing flaws, an astonishing solo game with elegant multiplayer elements. A unique representation of Hideo Kojima’s talent.
