    As of 2019, this is the greatest game I have ever played. The polished decima engine, the nuanced mechanics, the expert-level cinematography, the phenomenal acting, the breathtaking soundtrack, Hideo's iconic directing style... Death stranding is a true masterpiece in every sense of the word.

    Unrealistic atmospheric game, worked out to the smallest detail. Addictive in the full program, despite the rather meditative gameplay, but still not many will fit this. From myself I recommend.

Эта игра не пытается вечно держать тебя в напряжении. Как было уже показано во многих видео и рассказано во многих обзорах, эта игра про "связи".     I have not played yet, but I intend to play, by the reviews and visual I am giving my grade, mainly for the beautiful creation of Kojima and the beautiful choice of actors.

    Just because the game isn't for you...doesn't mean it isn't for others! Slating a game you have never played to try and influence others it beyond sad and pathetic. I am thoroughly enjoying playing through Death Stranding. It definitely isn't for everyone, but if you enjoy a intriguing story, fantastic graphics and a eerily dark atmosphere...its a must!

Don't expect an RPG, not an FPS, and not Metal Gear. It is a game meant for you to feel alone and well, a postman in an apocalypse.     This game has So much realism put in it that it could be a simulator. There Are also So many features that only add to the realism. And for me the game is fun. The game is evolving the more you continue through the game and Its not always the same...

    Das Spiel macht so Bock und sieht dabei richtig gut aus. Die ganze Umgebung sieht einfach so gut aus. Das Spielprinzip muss nicht für jeden sein, aber es ist was für mich.

    Number one: Death Stranding is not a game, it’s an experience, and one that I am very grateful for.

    It’s sad for me to see the negativity over this game because for purely selfish reasons I hope to have more experiences like Death Stranding in the future. I believe everyone has the right to express themselves regardless of their opinions effect on others and if a game is bombed with negativity then there is probably a reason for that. It is in that freedom of expression that we find truth.

    I have to wonder though, are these 0 reviewers playing the same game as I?

    Am I really that different than so many other people where I find Death Stranding (at times) to be pure unmitigated genius, and other people are bored to tears?

    And yet, I understand their point of view because if Death Stranding is anything it is very, very different than anything else out there today. It is less a game and more of an experience.
    Death Stranding is beautiful.
    Death Stranding is lonely, so lonely
    Death Stranding is hopeful and yet full of despair, setsunai.
    And yes, Death Stranding is full of moments of tension and gripping fear, it is not a game devoid of action as others would have you believe. There is great tension in the game with MULE’s and BT and I find the balance of everything quite enjoyable.

    It is not entirely inaccurate to state that this game is essentially “Being Norman Reedus”, and I am enjoying it!

    The amount of work, effort, care and love put into every minute detail of the character and his animations is astounding to me and I find that alone very entertaining. The line between where Sam begins and Norman ends is quite blurry, and the experience is all the better for it. I personally feel a real connection to this game. I feel a connection to Norman Reedus, and to this world. That I can feel emotion strongly, to feel like I know someone from a digital representation of their character is completely amazing to me. Hideo Kojima must be acknowledged for his lovingly detailed recreation of Mr. Reedus’ actual person.

    As you can tell, so much of the Death Stranding experience hinges on the personality of Norman Reedus. We as the player spend a great deal of time with just him and the environment. You’ll know best whether or not that interests you, but I will also say that the story in this game is absolutely top notch. It is a truly wonderful (again that word) experience that I feel moves me in as similar manner as something along the lines of Howl’s Moving Castle.

    In short, if you’ve the funds I think you owe it to yourself to see whether Death Stranding is for you, because if it is... it is an experience like none other in gaming today that I am so glad I didn’t pass on because of other’s criticisms.

    And if you try it and find that Death Stranding is not for you, then I am truly sorry for whatever it is that I have which you do not posses that allows me to feel such a strong connection to this game, it’s characters, it’s world, it’s music and sounds, pain and joy... the whole amazing experience.

    If you decide for whatever reason that you don’t enjoy Death Stranding, then I’ll thank you for supporting me and others ability to wholeheartedly love this strange and unique game, experience. Dear Mr. Kojima, please keep on keeping on. It was brave of you to release this game and we are all, those of us who have hearts opened to it, all the better for it.

    I am fully entertained and while I have much more to go in this game, I’m already looking forward to the next experience.    … Expand

    This game is really an amazing experience if you embrace it for what it is, which is a simulated sci fi experience, in which you immerse yourself into the role of Sam Bridges on his journey through    Yeah I get it, people find it "boring". In todays society these types of games are shunned for not being instantly gratifying. It's such a tragic set of circumstances in my humble opinion.

    This game is really an amazing experience if you embrace it for what it is, which is a simulated sci fi experience, in which you immerse yourself into the role of Sam Bridges on his journey through the world in a bid to understand and unravel the mystery of the death stranding.

    I won't put any spoilers here, suffice to say the game does an amazing job of really making you feel like your journeys to deliver items of importance are impactful and whilst the game is linear, I still got an amazing amount of satisfaction planning my trips to avoid perilious situations, and ensuring I had the relative tools at hand to combat the terrain I was planning to navigate.

    Maybe this isn't for everyone, but in no way shape or form is it bad. To some it may be boring, granted, but for the people who this game was made for, and for those that can appreciate the amount of detail and love that was poured into making this title, it really is a diamond in the rough that deserves the respect of gamers around the world.

    I hope games like this, and those such as Detroit aren't canned because of the narrowmindedness of our current generation. Otherwise we'll end up having nothing but COD clones and FIFA for eternity. I dread the thought.    … Expand

    Estou no começo. O que vi até agora gostei. Eu vou dar um 10 por alguém se arriscar, sair da mesmice. Tem que ter coragem pra fazer um jogo como este.

    I'm in the just beginning. What I've seen I liked, so far. I'd give a 10 grade for the one who take the chance, get out of monotony. We must have the guts to take part in a game like that.

    Tenían razón. Es como Journey pero elevado a 10. Los paisajes, el ambiente, la dirección, pero sobretodo la música... Hasta ahora es un sólido 10. Ya quiero imaginar qué encuentro más adelante. Presiento que será épico.

    Review bomber trolls notwithstanding, this is the closest I;ve experienced to art in a videogame. And in 10+ hours so far I;ve simply had a blast. Try it for yourself--you may be surprised at how the level of immersion and well written sci fi hook you.

    Death stranding is game like no other you will ever play. The game has the best graphics and facial expressions I have seen to this date. The game is extremely detailed that you find someone new at every hour of the game and the scenery is absolutely breathtaking.     I was really sceptical about playing this game since all the early reviews were extremely negative. i went with my gut and bought it anyways and 4 hours into it im actually amazed by it. The only way to really know is to play it for yourself. Its an incredibly good game

    A new masterpiece from Kojima-san. I really love how beautiful the world is, the music, actors. The gameplay is a lot of fun imo and enjoyable. The story is excellent.

    At first I did not really understand what I was playing, but once I got in a bit, it started to click. The open world, story, music, and overall vibe this game has is something unique. You won’t find other games out there like this (at least not in 2019).

For anyone feeling impatient with this game, just relax and enjoy it, the game won’t hold your hand so try to think “how would I climb down this mountain in real life, or how would I cross this rapid river” before you know it you will find yourself truly enjoying this satisfying challenge and find it quite therapeutic. As for the story I’m not far enough yet but it seems very solid and has my interest to know more. Definitely worth trying out… Expand

    People hate new and unique stuff, also people are expecting something like MGS with guns and fighting etc. This game is worth it in my opinion, polished new ideas interesting and fun to play to chill, not everything should be the same as CoD Fallout Elder Scrolls etc, it was made to connect players in a new way so deal with it people

    An absolute piece of art! This feels like a movie, a book, mindfulness meditation and action / horror / simulation game all mixed together. It talks about relevant themes from today’s society with clever metaphors. It thrills in the mundane and makes it interesting.     Loving this game so much! Very fresh and original. Been waiting a long time for something new to come along. I understand it’s not for the typical gamer who wants to gun things down. But it’s certainly for gamers who want to experience something unique that the industry is afraid to make.

We should all take a step back and appreciate people and the small things life offers us.

    la historia es increible, no mentian cuando se dijo que hara llorar a mas de alguno... personas sensibles/sentimentales estaran al borde de hacerlo aprox. en el 60% 70% del juego en adelante.

    aunque este tema va directamente relacionado con la tematica y eje del juego... ademas lo dice el propio protagonista al principio "hago repartos, es todo". el mundo representado esta correcto... osea... estamos separados y desconectados, la gente no va a estar afuera con los CV afuera rondando, la TIMEFALL. que no hayan casi nada de animales de igual forma esta bien segun el argumento y lo expone al principio con el ave muriendo.
    sam es solo un repartidor que es contratado. tu eres la persona que te pones en sus zapatos y haces el trabajo. que esperas? que te contraten y que a las dos entregas se desenrede la trama y todo? mas despacio velocistaa.jpeg

This game is breathtaking. this game is not for everyone, but to those whole can appreciate it which should be most, it is simply amazing. the detail put into the game play is ridiculous with keeping balance and how your body is effected by the terrain is crazy detailed. the story is gripping when you get into it , and grabs at your emotions fairly quickly. the cut scenes are boxWOW!     Después de unas 60 horas en Acceso anticipado, solo puedo decir una cosa, Obra de Arte, juegazo de autor, profunda jugabilidad, historia de cine, pero no de cine de por la tarde, si no de cine de 5estrellas, tiene un inicio difícil, demasiado difícil, pero tras unas horas muy sufridas todo tiene una gran recompensa, juegazo de 10!

    There are going to be people that hate this game because it's different than the mainstream, there's going to be people that love it for the same reasons. This is NOT a game that can be rightfully critiqued in a written review. It really is an experience that you need to sit down and immerse yourself in to ultimately know if it's something for you as an individual.

    Of course, there are also disadvantages, but they do not interfere with the gameplay. The soundtrack is very beautiful! This game is very difficult to distinguish from the movie.

    This game provides excellent gameplay, provided a slow burn, in the beginning, to set you in the mood. You have to start with this to understand what kind of setting to understand the game. After 2 hours(a short time) the game provides a myriad of mechanics and items to stretch yourself across the map. Death Stranding is one of the best games I have played ALL year of I hope you buy this game.

    I mentioned in another review on google the tedious walking mechanics, lucky some of that gets fixed later on in the game + you get vehicles wich made the game fun from the unbearable long trips on foot. (WICH WOULD OF BEEN ALLRIGHT if not for this SWAY LEFT AND RIGHT mechanic, sorry i cant really get behind it, its TO OFTEN).

    But the game really shines at this asynchronous multiplayer, building the world for others and them for you. Seeing roads/bridges/ ladders when i revisit areea, that were previously empty. It's exciting.
    THere are a few issues about this mechanic however. (UNLESS I am missing some information on how it all works)
    I feel like the people who will get the most out of it are the folk playing in the first few weeks, the ones creating the world. After most usefull paths are built. new guys won't have what to really build or noone will be left in the game to reap their 'like' rewards.
    Tho i think i remember someone saying they decay with time? I hope that's true, otherwise this would be a problem.

    But it's also a solution for the guys having a hard time with it, the PIONEERS will build the path so that new players can have a way easyer time trecking the world.
    If i would score this game for more categories, it'd be as such.
    Graphics 9/10
    Gameplay mechanics: 7/10
    Content/stuff to do:8/10
    Story: 8/10 average sci-fi story, idk why people moan its bad, every game out there is the same, i think they just wanted more. but he is good at keeping some mystery
    Music: 10/10
    A-multiplayer feature: 9/10

    Now i will also score the game as it develops:
    Intro 9/10 (3-4h in)
    Post-Intro 6/10 (8h in)
    Mid-Game: 9/10 unlocking bikes/new areeas and a lot of multiplayer features. Plus more enemies and stuff to do while treking so its not as lonely and empty.
    Late mid game: 20h+ in, 8/10 to much drawn out questing that could of been cut shorter. Think is u get slightly addicted to doing missions, but also that ends up making the game feel drawn out, so at this point i just went for main missions only. (kinda like with MGS5's side ops that got eh after a while)
    Late game: 9/10

    Overall not bad, but not the masterpiece people claim it to be.
    But it is different and the ideea in it is not bad, maybe not done completely right. If some other company picked this ideea up/engine they could make some really cool stuff. This game is like a 'skeleton'.
    I WISH THEY WOULD OPEN IT TO MODDING COMMUNITY ON PC ! HI *waves* we can make wonders.

    After 15 hours of gameplay all i can say is this is an amazing game, kojima did it again, every detail in this game is absolutely fantastic, the soundtrack makes the game feel so alive like you’re inside it, i can’t stop playing it... i absolutely recommend it 100%, you can’t go wrong with this game.

    Death stranding takes like a 7 to 8 hrs to get started, but after that it's story and gameplay progress faster.Its soundtrack is amazing along with many of other songs.It has 14 chapters and an epilogue. And grqphics are great too.

    This game does manage to be fun, even if it is one of the heaviest experiences of 2019. Everything from story to gameplay is begging to be dissected, filled with imagery and symbolism -- just like so many Kojima games before this one. Entering Death Stranding, it’s likely that we all thought Kojima’s calling card was lengthy cutscenes and stealth and action gameplay.
