Jun 21, 2016If you missed out on Deadlight when it was originally released and are into action platformers, I do recommend checking it out. Just be prepared for the frustration to ramp up as the game goes on.
-
Jun 21, 2016While far from a dumpster fire, Deadlight: Director’s Cut is a mechanically sound platformer that is ultimately rather forgettable.
-
Jun 22, 2016Even after four years, Deadlight could still use some polish to be a truly great experience. Still, this Director's Cut provides the best possible experience if you want to play the game.
-
Jun 21, 2016Deadlight looks better than ever and is a great game, but this remastered version does not have much in terms of new content, so it is only recommended for people who have not played the original.
-
Jun 21, 2016Deadlight: Director's Cut looks fantastic and has a very intriguing storyline. Its platforming puzzles are also generally really enjoyable to solve. However, a few annoying gameplay flaws, occasionally awkward controls, and very short running time really take the edge off the experience, and ultimately the game falls short of its considerable potential.
-
Jun 28, 2016Deadlight: Director’s Cut tries very hard to bring back a good game that came out in 2012, but it fails in so many ways. Lack of new content, controls without an improvement and many technical issues, are some of the problems that stop this version of being a must have.
-
Aug 10, 2016Deadlight is, for the most part, a well-paced game that doesn’t linger very long in any one area or on one activity. It is also a rather short game, clocking in at about five hours, which is rather underwhelming for its price.
-
Jul 3, 2016Even with some questionable combat choices and the odd spikes in difficulty, Deadlight is a game that breathes new life into the zombie genre.
-
Jun 27, 2016It's not the longest game, and doesn't offer anything that will be remembered as a classic game by any means, but the tense atmosphere, striking art style, and challenge, will surely help this game find itself a niche.
-
Jun 21, 2016While the game is still beautiful and has some redeeming qualities to it, it’s hard to explicitly recommend Deadlight: Director’s Cut to anyone except the most dedicated fans of the original or of Limbo-style games.
-
Jun 21, 2016While it fulfils its promise of delivering a much needed edge to the saturated zombie horror scene, Deadlight: Director's Cut is sadly hampered by its clunky combat system and recycled puzzles.
-
Jun 21, 2016Impressively updated graphical prowess for a unique visual styling isn’t enough to save it from a myriad of cheaply laid gameplay issues.
-
Jun 21, 2016Overall Deadlight: Director’s Cut is a fun, short game, that has a bunch of flaws but is still very playable.

Jan 25, 2023Great-looking 2D platform game set in an extremely cinematic and atmospheric zombie-infested, post apocalyptic wasteland.
